Hank’s catered my wedding on May 2nd, and we couldn’t have been happier! The planning process was seamless thanks to Sabrina, the catering crew was punctual and professional, and best of all, the food was absolutely delicious! They were very flexible when we wanted to edit the cocktail hour appetizers, and it worked out perfectly. We did the buffet, and everything was a hit (the pulled pork and mac n cheese was my favorite). I would definitely recommend them to anyone looking to have the yummiest (and reasonably priced) food at their wedding!

Hanks catered our wedding in August and everything was absolutely perfect! All Hanks staff was very professional and did a great job. The food was AMAZING! We had around 300 people attend and still to this day I have people telling me how amazing the food was. They went above and beyond to make our day perfect! I highly recommend Hank's for anyones catering needs! -

Hank's was absolutely phenomenal in every way, and we were ecstatic to get to choose a great local option! Their food is delicious, and the tasting experience was amazing. There are so many different options and tiers, so you're really able to choose a selection and pallet that suits your needs, preferences, and dietary needs. They have great cocktail hour options, whether you want a cheese & fruit platter or something more extensive and fancy. They also have bartenders you can use to either serve drinks you buy or ones they provide, depending on your need. There are options for limited-quantity vegetarian/vegan meals if only a sub-portion of your guests require that. And you can also rent plates/cutlery directly through them. And finally, they're so easy to work with and very clear about exactly what you're getting and will suggest changes based on your needs, your budget, or other factors. We knew we wanted our catering to be a highlight of the wedding, and it was! -

Going into wedding planning, the only food I knew I didn't want was BBQ, so I overlooked Hank's initially. I was getting so frustrated with the pricing options that I was REALLY close to just getting sandwich platters from a local deli. Then our baker, Buttercream Dreams, actually recommended Hank's - their pricing is super reasonable, especially with the crazy wedding markups, and they have more than just BBQ. We did a tasting, and it was lovely - the food was all amazing, and they sat down with us and listened to our needs. Very accommodating for allergies and diet restrictions. They have options for plated dinners, buffet, and food truck - we did the buffet! It also included a cheese and veggie platter and drink station. We used their bartender as well, though we provided the alcohol, and they were great at following the instructions for the specialty drinks my husband came up with. On the day of, they were timely, set up and broke down quickly (they were very familiar with the venue, a huge plus). The catering staff were SO nice to us - I didn't realize how important that would be but they went out of their way to be just kind human beings and that made the night even more perfect. They even made sure we got the cherry preserves on our cake slices that we wanted, and that they were on the right cake flavors! Which is a truly random request. We will definitely be stopping by their restaurant again in the future! We got so much for the price and cannot recommend them more. -

Hanks was so delicious and so easy to work with. We had to change our date a few times due to COVID, and Sabrina was so accommodating and kind. The food was delicious and even our professional chef friends were impressed. The staff was professional, timely, and helpful. We would highly recommend Hanks for your big day! -

Hank's is not only wonderful to work with, but the food is absolutely to die for. We still get comments about how amazing the food was, especially the brisket. You want to keep your guests well fed and Hank's is the best to do it. Sabrina was super easy to communicate with and we never had to worry about her getting back to us. Everything was quick and seamless. They offered us a wide range of food for anyone with an allergy and they even let us come do the tasting before we signed the contract which clearly sealed the deal. We also needed to find a bartender and Hank's was happy let us use a bartender for our venue as well. So overall, food is tasty, easy to work with, and very affordable for a wedding. They do it all! -

Both the food and service were wonderful on our wedding day. They were a pleasure to communicate and work with. We had BBQ style food and everyone thought it was absolutely delicious. There were also special accommodations made for those with food intolerances. Guests still can’t get over how delicious the food was. Definitely recommend Hank’s catering! -

We used Hank's Catering for our May 15 wedding. Booking their catering services was an easy process and so was selecting our menu. We are so grateful for them working with us through our postponement due to COVID-19, and scheduling our new date with no extra fees. Sabrina and Team were a delight to work with leading up to and on the day of, we didn't have to worry about a thing! After dinner was served, they packaged all of the leftovers for us to take and continue to enjoy after the reception. We will recommend Hank's over and over again!
You can't go wrong with any of their food options. Definitely choose their Juniper Chicken, it's absolutely delicious.
We're looking forward to visiting Hank's Grille soon for more tasty cuisine! -

We hired Hank's as our caterer for our destination wedding from PA to VA. We had such a great time at our tasting & everything was delicious! My fiance could not stop talking about their two different briskets! We worked with Sabrina throughout. She was always so friendly & responsive! Mid-pandemic, we decided to change our wedding to a small ceremony with a nice dinner for the 2 of us. Sabrina was very happy to accommodate us. She created an awesome menu. After our ceremony our dinner was delivered & plated for us by the chef! Our food was amazing! What a fantastic experience! -

Hank’s did an awesome job with our September wedding! We had happy hour appetizers, a dinner buffet with pulled pork and brisket and cake cutting through them! The plate-wear they provided was beautiful and it went so beautifully with our decorations! The brisket was to die for!! And they boxed up the left overs that we got to enjoy later that night and the next day!
The staff were friendly and leading up to the event Matt and Sabrina were so great at answering every question!

Hank's did an absolutely FABULOUS job catering our wedding. They did cocktail hour, bartending and our buffet. The food was outstanding and plentiful, the service was excellent, the bartenders were so on top of everything, and the value of it all was unbeatable. Special shoutout out to bar manager/mixologist Krystina for taking the time to meet with us beforehand to come up with the PERFECT signature drink (Blackberry Bourbon Lemonade, highly recommend her variation!!).. our guests could not get enough. Thank you to Matt, Sabrina, Kryssy & all of the other Hank's staff who made our day perfect (and delicious)!! -

Our wedding included appetizers (both passed and a tray), a buffet of marinated chicken, brisket, salad, and sides, and a tea & lemonade station. Everything was wonderful and the catering manager, Matt, helped us select the perfect options for our guests. He also didn't try to have us buy more than we needed - suggesting we actually lessen our appetizer number from what we were assuming we'd need because it would be too much! He was right, the apps were perfect and while we did end up having some leftover buffet items (we had a few last minute guests unable to attend) our wedding party couldn't have been happier to have some late-night mac n cheese! The set up looked great and the servers were all very friendly and attentive. We wouldn't hesitate to use Hank's again! -

We had eaten at the restaurant before and loved it so we were confident that our guests would love it. We chose the Pork BBQ package and the silver service upgrade, plus a bartender and two extra staff members. The price was fantastic, the service was fantastic, and all of our guests loved the food. Matt was very easy to work with and was always professional, even when we had to redo the headcounts and tweak a few items that we forgot about at the last minute. -

Being from Colorado, we were unable to try the food in advance, but our leap of faith was rewarded with food that our guests could not stop commenting on. I worked with Matt over the phone and through email several times and thought he provided excellent customer service every time. On the day of our wedding, everything was cooked to perfection and presented beautifully and was ready when it was supposed to be. Even the leftovers the next day tasted great. The staff members they provided for service and to tend the bar were friendly and looked very professional. I couldn't say enough to praise them for the absolutely fantastic job that they did for us. I would recommend Hank's Smokehouse to anyone looking for a place with fabulous service and incredibly delicious food that will be remembered! -

My wife and I are wanderlusts from Michigan who yearned for an intimate destination wedding. Our venue was a quaint and historic bed and breakfast located outside Harrisonburg, Virginia – about 10 hours from our home. We sought a non-fussy and tasty caterer for our wedding rehearsal dinner. Our wedding planner suggested Hank's Grille & Catering.
Sabrina, Hank's Catering Director, was very accommodating and took the time to answer our questions. The remote booking process was a breeze. Thank you for keeping it easy for us, Sabrina!
Our final menu included Texas brisket, pulled pork, green beans with ham, macaroni and cheese, and assorted dessert bars. Hank's also delivered buns, three types of their signature barbeque sauces, paper plates, plastic utensils for serving and eating, and napkins. Our order arrived on time and hot and was set up for us to enjoy buffet-style at our wedding venue.
Our group thoroughly enjoyed the fare from Hank's. The mac and cheese might've been the least exciting dish - it was good but could have been better. The crowd favorites were the pulled pork and green beans with ham. They were both wonderfully smokey!
After dinner, in-depth negotiations ensued about who could take the leftovers home. "Fine, you can have some pulled pork... but I get the rest of this bottle of barbeque sauce!" It's a good sign when your friends and family are fighting to take the leftovers home!
Hank's Grille & Catering provides tremendous value. Their prices were extremely reasonable for tasty food, generous portions, and courteous staff. Thank you, Hank's! -

I would liked to have had better communication from them as I was attempting to book our wedding date and make arrangements for a tasting, but once the catering manager returned my calls things went smoothly. Our guests enjoyed the food and service. Thank you, Hank's!
