Host who is beyond professional; place which is beyond luxurious
It’s not easy to find a place which would have all!! YOUR absolutely necessary ✔️✔️✔️✔️STOP your search because this is the ONE. We had a mind-blowing health retreat at this location. The place has a magic vibe and the team is very professional from the beginning of the booking till the last day of checkout. Despite the tropical location, the place is in a very clean and pleasant shape. The kitchen is a dream. Even though we had a raw vegan menu, we could definitely appreciate the size, cleanliness, and convenience for the big group we had!

Backyard Oahu Wedding
This is the groom, I just got married here the first week of August and it will forever be the best 4 days of my life. My wife and I attended college in the mainland and have been on countless group trips where we’ve packed 20+ people into houses in Aspen Colorado , Puerto Escondido Mexico, Bocas Del Toro Panama and Cuzco Peru. These trips are always the most memorable because it’s not where you are but who you’re with and although all of the places I just mentioned are amazing, the best part of it was waking up every day with the most important people in your life to talk about the night before and what you’re doing that day. What could be more special than experiencing that in Hawaii?
Oahu is so breathtakingly gorgeous and to have the opportunity to get married on the North East side of the island is an absolute treat. If you are unfamiliar with this part of the island, hop in the car and drive here and it will convince you to do it. If you see the venue in person, you won’t be able to have your wedding anywhere else. There is nothing like this anywhere else on Oahu and maybe even the outer islands as well. I’m born and raised on Oahu’s south eastern shore and have spent my entire life driving up to this side of the island because of how beautiful the windward side is and jumped at the opportunity to have my wedding here and am so glad I did. Every wedding I went to growing up was in ballrooms in Waikiki and my wife and I had no desire to do that. If you’re going to be in a ballroom, you could be anywhere in the world.
The Hale Koa estate offers the indoor/outdoor experience for you and those closest to you to be fully immersed in the beauty that is Hawaii. Don’t be phased by a bug here or there as you are in the most remote island chain in the entire world and even in the most affluent properties (Kahala, Hawaii Loa ridge, etc.) you will encounter a gecko, frog, ant or cockroach. The property is very clean and well cared for. Pitambar and his staff are extremely professional and were easy to work with prior to our stay and through the entirety of our time there. I would highly recommend that anyone looking for the backyard Hawaii wedding of their dreams stay here with those closest to them.

Unforgettable Backyard Wedding of My Dreams
The experience at Oahu Wedding Villas/Hale Koa Estate was unmatched. I always wanted a backyard wedding, and this place made my dreams come true Pitambar and Calvin were so easy to work with. Pitambar was so communicative and flexible. Anything I needed prior to the wedding, I reached out to him to help plan, and he really delivered. He helped us get 2 shuttles from downtown and brought them up to the property for us to use, something that wasn't initially offered, but explaining to him our plans, gave this idea! We had many questions about the amenities, and he answered all of them and more. We asked about the speaker setup, he then sent pictures over text to make sure we knew exactly what was there.
Pitambar and his team were available during our stay and attended our events (rehearsal dinner and reception) to make sure everything was running smoothly. They really felt a part of our weekend, in the best way. I felt so comfortable having them around and trusted their work. There is a bit of DIY involved with a venue like this, and not having a wedding planner added even more to my plate. I brought up all decor and serving materials. Without needing to provide much, if any direction, the team at the Hale Koa set up the tables with all materials perfectly (with some help of my coordinator).
This place is so special, my 37 friends cannot stop talking about how we will be back for my husband and my 5 year anniversary to all celebrate like this again! I wish we were still here, celebrating, making more memories, and enjoying this incredible space. we stayed on the property for 4 nights and the 39 of us were very comfortable with the accommodations. We hired extra cleaners through Pitambar for 2 days after the events to clean up after the late nights, and the cleaners were awesome! Huge help.
I didn't even mention how beautiful this place is- you can see in photos, but wow- you've got to see this in person. It's truly breathtaking. We had so much fun trying to photograph in every space available on the property.
It's been about 3 weeks since the wedding, I can't stop thinking about this place and my friends and family can't stop talking about it. This place is everything and more. I wish I could give 6/5 stars here. Thank you Hale Koa for the wedding of my dreams. :) - a VERY VERY happy bride.
To address some comments I am seeing about cleanliness on the property, I want to share that this place is very well cared for by the whole staff and I mean CARED for, by the team and the neighbors. This place is meant to be indoor/outdoor, the exact reason that I booked it. There might be a bug or two, we had fun running into geckos and frogs on the property. My husband is born and raised on Oahu, and we spend half our year here annually, so are not phased by some bugs that might show up in tropical, coastal places. Please do not let that be the reason you do not book this place. -

Beautiful, private & perfect wedding experience
Of all the places we considered for our destination wedding, Oahu Wedding Villas & Venues stood out from the rest. From the moment I found the venue online and talked to their team, to when I arrived at the estate, it was amazing! We were warmly welcomed by the staff and blown away by the beauty and size of the property. The private mansion on the estate is amazing, aesthetic decor & so much indoor/outdoor fun, especially the pool! AND, this place is soo close to the beach!
As the bride, I loved the accommodations. One of THE BEST THINGS about this venue is that our bridal party and family were able to stay on the estate with us!! This made the entire experience soo special. We felt like we were in our own little world, surrounded by the beauty of Hawaii. The mansion was a perfect place for us to get ready, so much room to have all my girls with me, and perfect lighting for hair & makeup. When it was time for the ceremony, we stepped outside into the beautiful garden area that was exactly what I wanted! It was the perfect backdrop for us to exchange our vows and celebrate.
The staff at Oahu Wedding Villas & Venues was so friendly and accommodating throughout the entire process, they always made sure that we had everything we needed. We couldn't have asked for a better setting for our special day. As the groom who recently had my wedding at Oahu Wedding Villas & Venues, I highly recommend this venue to anyone looking for a breathtaking wedding experience. From the moment we arrived on the property, we knew we had found the perfect place to exchange our vows.
The private mansion on the estate is a true gem, with its stunning wood interior and decor that perfectly captures the beauty and charm of Oahu. It was the perfect backdrop for our special day, and I couldn't be happier with how it turned out.
Preparing for the wedding in the mansion and then walking straight into the ceremony was an experience I will never forget. The mansion provided an intimate and beautiful space for us to get ready, and the seamless transition from inside to outside made it even more special.
One of the best parts about this venue is that our friends and family were able to stay with us at the estate. This made our wedding weekend truly unforgettable, and the accommodations were out of this world. We felt like royalty during our stay.
The staff at Oahu Wedding Villas & Venues truly went above and beyond to make our wedding day perfect. They were incredibly helpful and made sure every detail was taken care of. We couldn't have asked for a better team to work with.

The owner and property manager took care of us from day one. Planned our stay a year and a half before our wedding, and they always had a gracious open line of communication despite the pandemic causing a lot of concerns. The fact we planned everything where we live in California, everyone involved were great to work with. The property is as beautiful as the pictures you see in the reviews but a million times more amazing when you physically set foot there. Upkeep was on top of their game, and the event/property staff were super friendly. We will always remember this place, as they will forever be in our hearts. Can’t say enough how perfect Hale Koa estate is. Dream location to spend with your family and friends. -

Out of this world wedding venue
Both my (now) husband and I’s parents stayed at the Hale Koa Estates and had our wedding ceremony/reception there (4days/3nights)! This venue alleviated a lot of wedding stressors and was so amazing to work with. From their quick responses to the set up / tear down and everything in between, we could not have asked for a better time! In addition, they recommended a wedding coordinator that knew the ins and out and made it so stress free. Thank you a millllion :) -

I will be honest, this was not my dream to hold my wedding here but as soon as I stepped foot onto the property it quickly became my dream. From the start the owner was fantastic! Very responsive and attentive. My husband and I chose this property not only for it's beauty but all the amenities and the fact we could have our closest friends and family stay there and hold our wedding/reception all in one place. The staff showed up first thing in the morning and began setting up the tables and linens. The night before they were already setting up guests chairs at the wedding arch. The home is clean and equipped with tons of entertainment. Wether you want to relax and watch a movie, play air hockey/pool, or take a dip in the amazing pool or hot tub. The property has something for everyone and that was perfect. The kitchen & dining area was incredible for all of our family to gather and enjoy meals together. My personal favorite was the master bedroom where myself & the bridesmaids got ready on wedding day. The lava rock tub was incredibly relaxing and I felt like a total princess in that room. I can't thank this team enough for such a great experience and a beautiful wedding day. I am so grateful that everything went perfectly and that this property is the place where one of my most precious memories took place. Thank you Hale Koa Estate! Simply amazing 🖤.
I don’t even know where to start… First of all - everyone in Hawaii is so freaking nice and sweet. So why would you NOT want to get married there? When we decided to do a destination wedding and I came across this venue, I knew from the second I saw it I was GOING to get married there… photos and videos just don’t do it justice! The property was absolutely beautiful, and private, the property manager was soooo helpful! Every day we were there he helped with parking of all the cars, any questions or concerns I had he took care of almost immediately and was super quick to respond.
Second, we booked for three nights. Two nights before, which was nice for touring the property, seeing things through so you can talk with the team with how you in-vision your big day. HIGHLY recommend doing that. We used the second night there for a bachelor/bachelorette type party (we just mostly stayed in with our friends and family, since most things shut down due to covid days before the wedding. It was so chill and so nice. The pool was a perfect party site for the girls, and the BBQ/front garden was a good place for the guys to play games, drink and have fun.
Lastly when it comes to decoration… don’t spend an arm and a leg getting some!!!! The only thing I would ever recommend to anyone is table decor for the reception, and arch decor for the ceremony. the garden and property does the rest for you!
This place has PLENTY of room for guests… so perfect for a destination wedding!
I was so busy in awe I couldn’t even stop to take videos/photos… I regret it now! Lol! seriously couldn’t recommend Phineas and his crew more. Book this venue… just DO IT! -

It was magic to be there and we truly could not have chosen a better venue. Best Wedding Venue Ever - Beautiful, Luxurious, Amazing!
Hale Koa Estate was the most amazing wedding venue EVER!!! My husband and I got married there on November 23rd, 2019 and it was the most magical weekend of our lives.
From the rehearsal dinner on Friday night where we set up the caterer under the tent, we were easily able to fit 30+ guests around the kitchen/sofas upstairs to eat. There are multiple refrigerators which are massive which held all of the leftover from rehearsal, food for breakfasts, drinks for the wedding and snacks.
The rooms were luxurious, particularly the master bedroom. I took a bubble bath in the lava bathtub the night before my wedding and had my maid of honour stay with me, and it was a beautiful, relaxing night before I got married. With the door shut and the rest of the guests out by the pool or in the guest house, it stayed quite quiet. It is important to be mindful of neighbors and to keep noise down after 10pm but it wasn't a problem when everyone moved inside.
The property is massive and all of the gardens are beautiful. The pool/jacuuzi was amazing and you even get to choose what colors you want for the lighting. There are plenty of bath towels and beach towels to use and many, many bathrooms and showers.
On the night of the wedding we set up the ceremony in the front garden and cocktail hour near the front door. Had the reception in the back under the tent which was amazing. The lighting looked incredible and the food (keneke's) was the BEST catering company. Hale Koa provides people to assist with setting up chairs, etc (I am actually not 100% sure how everything got sorted as I had a day of coordinator and Narayan's team were amazing that I didn't have to think about a thing!)
Narayan was super helpful in answering all of my questions leading up to the day. I live in Australia so I was not able to view the property before booking but he took me on a facetime tour around the property which sold me instantly. My dad was on Oahu a few times before the wedding and Narayan gave him two tours around the property and answered all his questions.
All of our family and friends were SO impressed with the size, luxuriousness, and beauty of the property both inside and outside. 35 of our friends stayed with us and we had such a good time! Everyone loved that they didn't have to travel to a wedding venue as some people got hot in their suits (as we were dancing all night long) so they were able to go upstairs to their rooms and change easily).
I would 100% recommend choosing Hale Koa Estate for your wedding. It was such a special week having all of our loved ones stay together in the house and we are so thankful to have had the most magical week of our lives. Thank you Narayan, Pitambar, and Hale Koa estate for helping make it possible! -

Hale Koa is a BEAUTIFUL estate and was absolutely perfect for our smaller wedding. We had the place for 4 days and had a good amount of our friends and family staying with us. It made our whole wedding just that much more special to have our loved ones near by and just enjoying each others time. Narayan is super responsive and was great with answering any questions that I had (and I had ALOT, considering this was a destination wedding). We unfortunately did have some mix ups and miscommunication due to another event happening at the estate across the street from us but it wasn't too major of a problem, we got it all resolved. One tip though, BRING BUG SPRAY. We got eaten alive out there, but regardless.. still a fun time! :) -

What a treat it was to be able to stay with all of our friends and family at the Hale Koa Estate for our wedding! This place is massive and holds a ton of people (we filled it ALL the way up) assuming they don’t mind sharing a room. Some people didn’t leave the estate for a day or more but the number of activities on the property made it feel like there was always something fun to do. There was more than enough refrigerator space for all of our drinks and left over wedding + rehearsal food and everyone enjoyed taking turns making breakfast in the enormous kitchen. We even organized a Moana movie night using the projector, easily packed 25 people around that tv!
If you plan to stay here, we would recommend three things: pack lots of bug spray, keep all car keys located in a central location, and encourage your guests to bring beach/pool towels. 1. Because the property is so lush, mosquitos will eat you alive if you sit outside too long without some kind of protection. They did some kind of mosquito treatment the day of the wedding, but we honestly did not see that much of a difference. 2. Depending on the number of cars you have at the estate, you might need to play car Tetris whenever someone needs their car. Just keep the circle as open as possible to make it easier on yourself and leave all keys in a central location so your car can be moved if you’re not around. 3. The towel situation was borderline ok, we just made sure to assign someone to wash the beach/pool towels every night so there were more the next morning.
IMPORTANT: None of these issues were a deal breaker, the property was perfect in every other way.
The house is splendid and the real centerpiece is the master bedroom. The lava tub in there was so unique and stunning that we had to set up a schedule so our guests could experience how amazing it was. The space was perfect as a getting-ready room the morning of the wedding and the second building made it so that we couldn’t see each other all day until the ceremony. The pool was probably our most-used amenity, although you would be surprised to hear the hot tub was a close second! A pool? When the beach is so close? I hear you, but it was nice to float around and talk story in the evenings as people were winding down for the night with the beer fridges/ping pong table steps away. :) Overall, staying at the Hale Koa estate was a wonderful experience and I would definitely recommend it to a friend.

Our wedding experience with Hale Koa was wonderful! We live on island and had lots of family coming into town for the big day, so booking a large property like Hale Koa was perfect for us. We were able to host so many people, and had our rehearsal dinner, ceremony and reception all on site. The grounds are absolutely stunning, and the house itself was so comfortable with all the amenities you could ask for. We loved how private and peaceful the property felt, along with how it made for an intimate, unique wedding weekend that allowed us to reconnect with so many loved ones. In addition to the beautiful setting, the team at Hale Koa was unbelievable! We felt so supported by them throughout the planning process and the weekend itself. They truly had everything we needed to set up for the day and had so many options that allowed us to really make this wedding our own. We will always remember our stay and our special day so fondly and highly recommend this! -

I called Hale Koa Estate and got so much information with personal attention in a short amount of time, I was immediately impressed. Narayan was so kind and helpful, and even after we got off the phone he was very responsive in text to my follow-up questions. Hale Koa Estate offers A LOT... things you would normally have to rent, they've got it! You want a coordinator? Narayan will do that. You need a place to stay for multiple people? They got you. You want a place that has minimal rules to abide by because its private? Hale Koa is it! In addition to all of this, it's beautiful! There's lots of greenery. there is a beautiful pool and its so close to the beach! I can't wait to get married here. -

If you are a 'Type A' bride who needs constant communication and instant email replies, this might not be the right venue for you. However, if you are laid back, go-with-the-flow, and looking for an intimate space for an unforgettable experience, this is it.
I’ll admit I was worried after reading some negative reviews online. But when I met with the owner in person and addressed my concerns, he did everything in his power to resolve them before the big day.
In a turn of events, my fiancé and I ended up breaking up the day before the wedding. Despite the heartbreak, the venue remained a sanctuary for my family, friends, and I. We still held the rehearsal dinner (without the rehearsal) and the reception (without the ceremony). It became a space for my family and friends to gather, make memories, and begin the healing process. I will never forget the kindness shown to us during such a vulnerable time. -

This venue was absolutely beautiful and the staff was very reliable and worked so hard to make my day special. Overall the stay was amazing! The only complaints I would have is that the AC and TVs were hard to control. There were too many remotes and none of the accounts on the tv were logged in. Also the reception and wifi in the area is not the best, however, the owner and property manager were very helpful in tending to our questions and problems. A few bugs would come out at night and appear on the walls in the mornings. However, there was enough space for mine and my husband's family to stay comfortable with many activities to do. I will definitely be staying here again!!! -

My husband found this amazing estate for our wedding in Sept. It was AWESOME! We had a smallish destination wedding (40 guests) and we wanted something more personal than a resort where our family and friends would really get to know one another and could hang out and spend quality time together. This was the perfect place. The estate has a main house and a guest cottage. Almost all of our guests stayed on site (place sleeps 45) and the guest cottage was perfect for families or those with toddlers. There is a pool and hot tub, games, gardens...so lush we hardly needed decor! Be aware that the estate manager may give you old blue prints (there is no longer a volleyball court and some of the rooms don't appear as portrayed on them and need to be updated). Another plus was that the estate had everything we needed- tables, linens, arch, chairs, napkins, speakers, mics etc. Make sure they are included in your "wedding package" when you talk to Narayan the estate manager. I will say he was late meeting us and many of our guests arrived before he did which made it stressful. Give yourself time as they run on island time around here! In any case I highly recommend the estate but do be cautious if you have a rowdy group and use coasters on everything! The master suite is so amazing and luxurious!! We rented the place for 2 nights and had our rehearsal dinner there, ceremony and reception all on site. Perfect venue for a small gathering! -

DO Not use the Guest Property!
Detailed Review Pending! Vermin, Cockroaches, Ants, Black Mold, and Bloodstained Sheets!
Our party rented the entire Hale Koa Estate for a wedding. This is a partial review of the property's guest home only. A thorough examination will soon follow.
The guest home was infested with vermin, cockroaches, and ants. Black mold was present in the bathroom; the bedding was bloodstained. The house was disgustingly filthy, had a foul order, and was in a state of neglect.
The furniture was either dirty, worn, stained, or torn. The lamps were dirty and not operational. The ceiling fans would not work in the evening as the fan and lights worked simultaneously. The sink backed up on the first day, and the garbage disposal was broken. Most kitchen drawers, as did the windows, had rodent and/or cockroach fecal matter present. A large infestation was discovered above the kitchen sink, and one evening, a cockroach crawled on my face; another day, droppings were found on a pillow.
The guest home had many health and safety code violations present, observed, and adequately documented. There were holes in the walls and peeling, stained, and dirty paint. The wood blinds were not fully operational, and the curtains were stained and dirty.
The home was in a different state and had a much different physical appearance than the photographs and video shown before renting. For example, the guest home should have had one bed per room but instead, upon arrival, had three beds per room, all of which were various makeshift furniture pieces thrown together. The home had the appearance of being utilized as a hostel.
I photographed and videoed the property and immediately contacted the property caretaker (Pablo), the property management supervisor (Barbara), and later the owner (Pitambar). I requested Barbara to inspect the property and send many compelling photographs asking for assistance. Barbara did arrange for maintenance personnel to clear the clogged sink and provide one pillow and a sheet set for replacements.
The remaining concerns still needed to be addressed. When I sent Barbara the infestation photographs, she responded, "Oo," and later wrote, "I've been telling him (assumingly referring to the owner) things needed to be clean better and taken more care of." Later, Barbara inadvertently texted me, "This guy just ain't going to stop."
Although the owner stated he was honest, sincere, and big-hearted, he has yet to return my telephone calls or contact requests to resolve the issues addressed. Instead, he told the wedding couple he was completing an investigation and remained steadfast in failing to address the concerns and recommendations made by the family.
The guest home should not be rented for any purpose, less used for a wedding until much construction, extermination, painting, cleaning, and city inspections are completed.
All photographs taken during our March 2023 stay are 100% accurate.
As indicated to Hale Koa Estate personnel, "I have never stayed in such a neglected, filthy, vermin and cockroach infested property."
Do right by yourself and your loved ones. DO NOT stay in the estate’s guest home!

I do not recommend using this venue or working with this company. We had a nightmare experience that we are still going through years later and I cannot express how disappointed I am at their lack of honesty, communication, and professionalism. Excited to plan your dreamy destination wedding?
I was too back in October 2020. I made sure to give my deposits and payments on time. Unfortunately for me, I booked right as covid began locking us all down. I made sure to ask Phineas to include in the contract that I would get a full refund if we could not travel due to restrictions. As we got closer to October, the travel ban was still in effect. To this day, Phineas still owes me thousands of dollars. I had already lost so much money from the exchange (CAD into US), but I wasn't expecting to be scammed. I know many other brides are also experiencing this problem with this particular man's business. I warn you, do NOT book. You will not get all of your money back. I have dealt with his wonderful assistant Barbara and I've tried to be reasonable as he had to sell of some property to try keep his current properties and deal with his personal divorce in the process, but enough is enough.
Update: Since the review went up, he has told his assistant to contact me to say he will pay me in full if I take the review down. Yet, I've only received $200 from him. The picture uploaded is what he sent to his assistant rather than contacting me.
