Kim is absolutely incredible to work with. From the first design meeting through to the big day, her and Chris are so dedicated to making your vision come to life! They are thorough in making sure to discuss every detail and then execute even more beautifully than you can imagine. Me and my guests were blown away by their arrangements! The venue too was impressed by their talent and how easy they are to work with. 10 out of 10 recommend.

Absolutely Amazing

You need Greenlion on your wedding team. Kim and Chris put their heart and soul into this business and it shows. Everything was created and executed so thoughtfully. From the flower petals down the aisle, to the center pieces, to gorgeous dogwood that draped over the entrance to our tent, everything was just perfect. We highly, highly recommend Greenlion to make all of your floral dreams come true!

Natural elegance!

Kim and Chris at greenlion are nothing short of magical. I had researched and contacted several florists, but the images of greenlion’s natural, organic, and artistic designs totally won me over. I was so excited after my initial meeting with Kim - she was so fun to talk to! Having downsized our guest count significantly, my biggest worry was making our large venue space feel intimate and special. Kim completely understood my concerns and was very responsible and flexible during the planning process. She and Chris transformed our venue into a beautiful October garden-party-esque space filled with the natural elegance of greenery, whites, pops of peach, and fun berry sprigs sprinkled at each place setting. All of our guests were completely in awe of her work. When I woke up the following morning, I immediately went back into our venue just to see the beautiful greenery still hanging in the tent!

I cannot recommend greenlion enough. Kim and Chris’ artistic work completely made our wedding day!

Transcendent

We cannot speak more highly of our experience with Greenlion. Many parts of planning a wedding become tedious and stressful but working through the floral design process with Kim and Chris was, quite simply, a joy. We were initially hesitant to contact them because their services looked out of our price-range, but Kim and Chris happily worked with us to keep costs reasonable while still producing the most beautiful, special florals that I have ever seen. After sitting down with Kim to discuss ideas (probably the most fun wedding meeting we had), we knew that she understood our vision and felt completely comfortable letting Greenlion loose to create for us! And wow, the results were spectacular.

From the smallest details up to the overall atmosphere, Greenlion worked magic for our mid-winter celebration. The bouquets incorporated dried elements, branchy bits, and seed pods alongside fresh greenery and cream and sunset-kissed blooms. I was in heaven sniffing the sweet peas all afternoon! The boutonnieres were little dried treasures, and they even made a mini-boutonniere on a safety pin for our four-year-old nephew. On the dinner tables, they mixed greenery, dried elements, and white blooms in playful glass vessels, creating loose, organic, and unusual arrangements.

Beyond these wonderful details, Kim and Chris transformed two spaces for us, creating the atmosphere we sought. For the ceremony, they constructed a wild, organic hanging arbor to turn a simple, rustic hoop house into an ethereal space. And they transformed the barn where we held the reception into the warm, cozy, and glowing space that we had dreamed of for our dark, winter wedding. The candlelight, particularly the reflections on the taper candle hurricanes, was pure magic. Multiple guests told me that they actually gasped when they entered the barn because it was so special.

So, please, look no further for your wedding. Kim and Chris are artists, designers, and magic-makers, but also completely professional, organized, and responsive. You’ll be SO glad you worked with them.

The BEST experience working with Kim and Chris

Kim and Chris are AMAZING and made wedding planning so easy and fun. From the minute I started working with Kim I knew I was in the best hands and I had complete and utter trust in her. It was like she could get inside my head and see my vision- she is truly the best. The flowers and decor at our wedding were exactly what we wanted! She and her husband Chris are so fun to work with and are true professionals. I HIGHLY recommend them, they are truly an amazing team and put their heart in soul into their work!

Absolutely magical

Wow. We never get over the magic that Kim and Chris created for our wedding.

Greenlion was the first vendor we booked for our wedding. I absolutely fell in love with them from our first conversation, both as people and their creative vision. I was not 100% set on even getting married in Newport, but once I found Greenlion it was game over. Kim was so kind and talked to me multiple times on the phone to discuss the entire vision (not even just the flowers) before we had even booked to help me solidify my decision to get married in Newport. Boy, did they deliver. We had the absolutely best time creating our vision for the wedding together. From start to finish they made me feel like the only bride they were working with (even though I know there were many!) We were constantly talking and sending ideas back and forth to each other - Kim was genuinely excited every time we thought of something new. They were honestly more than just our florist throughout this whole process, they were friends and always there for us. Even my husband trusted their taste so much that anytime I wasn’t sure about anything (even if it had nothing to do with the flowers) he would say “ask Kim!” I had absolutely 0 stress leading up to and throughout our wedding because I knew I was in good hands with Kim and Chris. We dreamt up using orange as a pop color for a unique touch which could have been a risky decision, but I trusted Kim and Chris so much and they executed beyond my wildest dreams. They understood my husband and I and created the most perfect, magical atmosphere for us to celebrate our marriage. It was so unique, special, and gorgeous. I almost fell on the floor when I saw the venue that day! Kim and Chris single handedly created the wedding out our dreams. Our guests cannot stop talking about how special everything was, and we owe so much of that that to Greenlion.

Perfection

Chris and Kim were AMAZING during the planning process from the beginning, all the way to the wedding day. They are complete experts in what they do and have the best eye. Although I had envisioned some flowers that were out of season, Kim was able to quickly throw out some extremely close alternatives. I felt so comfortable giving them little direction (I didn’t have a strict vision) and allowing them to fill in the blanks with free creative reign, and it turned out absolutely perfectly. I knew I wanted wild flowers and bright colors, and the arrangements were put together so perfectly - I had never seen something so beautiful.

They were also very creative - I had wanted hanging plants, which was going to be out of my budget, but Chris had built some stands for the table that were thin and created that floating illusion. They also had various props (like table numbers) which really helped take some of the stress of when thinking about all the little details (one less thing to do!!). I would highly recommend them to everyone - I couldn’t think of my day being any more perfect and I attribute a lot to them and their creativity, amazing personalities, and ability to create such a beautiful space that I could have never dreamed up myself. THANK YOU SO MUCH!

Belle Mer Wedding

The absolute best!

The flowers were the item about our wedding that I was the most excited about. I had really high expectations and Kim and Chris absolutely blew them away!! The best of the best!

Working with Kim and Chris from Greenlion was the best decision we could have ever made for our wedding. We first met Kim over the phone and then had an in person meeting at their lovely space in Newport. Every conversation with Kim was a breeze. She was so understanding of our wants/needs, while also provided us with her expert opinion/invaluable experience at every point. We asked for romantic/classic, but also modern. What Greenlion created was not only exactly what we asked for, but it was more perfect than we could have ever imagined. From the immaculate details to the grand table settings, and where to begin with how they designed the arbor at Castle Hill Inn (it was a piece of floral art)… Greenlion delivered! They are the best at what they do and their talent is limitless. The mother of the bride even came down on the day of to check everything was going smoothly and Kim took the time to come over and say hello. So hands on and kind. What more could you ask from your wedding florist? Then when I (the bride) walked into the tent for the first time and saw what Greenlion had created for us, I was literally brought to tears at how beautiful it was. Like walking through a fairytale. We have not stopped hearing compliments from our guests and I truly believe the flowers are something everyone will remember forever. Our wedding wouldn’t have been the day that it was without Greenlion. If you get the opportunity to work with them you should absolutely take it. We could not recommend them more highly.

Pure Magic.

Greenlion exceeds expectations. Don't let Kims humble demeanor fool you. She is an artist. Chris and Kim made our wedding dreams come true and more...as soon as I met with Kim, 19 months ago, I knew she just got me and wanted to create something special and that she did. It makes me emotional thinking back on the feeling I had when I entered my ceremony space prior to the ceremony, holding my then, fiances hand. We were floored. Kim and Chris will not disappoint. Not only are they floral geniuses but they are incredibly nice and authentic people. I only had the real pleasure of meeting Kim but I saw what Chris did behind the scenes. They make a great team. So much more than flowers

I can’t say enough about greenlion! We came to Kim with a very vague idea of what we wanted our wedding flowers to look like. She was able to take our thoughts and transform them into something magical! Greenlion created our whole wedding vibe, sharing insights and guiding us through choosing linens, lighting, and so much more. Kim was available to answer all of our questions and was very attentive to all of our concerns. She has a warm, honest, and open approach, treating her clients like old friends. Kim has an uncanny ability to really connect with people. This personal touch mixed with her amazing partner, Chris and a whole lot of talent is what makes greenlion exceptional.

Best descison you’ll make besides the groom!

Greenlion’s work absolutely blew me away on my wedding day. Everyone still raves about the flower arrangements, candles, lanterns, disconnected arbor, etc.—basically ALL the pieces Greenlion provided for our wedding. If you work with Greenlion Design, you are working with the DREAM TEAM, may I repeat, DREAM TEAM. Kim and Chris are not only exceptional at what they do, they are visionary and can even make custom pieces for your wedding. Greenlion was also my favorite vendor to work with throughout the wedding process--which isn't a knock to any of my wonderful vendors but I just really enjoyed talking through and planning the overall aesthetic with Kim. From a business perspective, they are extremely organized, transparent and communicate very well. Greenlion does only 1 wedding a day so you don't have to worry about them getting pre-occupied with another's wedding on your special day. On the day of my wedding I was simply blown away with their work. I would recommend Greenlion to anyone and absolutely everyone!!!

While planning my wedding flowers with Greenlion (Kim & Chris) it was an enjoyable experience, I'm actually sad it's over... I was never stressed or worried about the outcome, during the process we were always on the same page. Kim and Chris took the time to get to know me and my style -- they felt inspired by my vision.
I always hear stories from friends that got married that their flowers didn't turn out exactly how they wanted. Well, with Greenlion they will turn out exactly how you want. Kim and Chris will listen, they will give ideas and they will execute your vision flawlessly.

Greenlion is the most amazing florist I interviewed by far. I was so nervous she would already be booked for my wedding date, so I secured her as soon as possible. None of the other florists in the area of Newport came even close to comparing with Kim and Chris and their incredible talents! Kim is very good at talking with you and hearing your ideas and is able to create floral creations that even surpass your wildest flower dreams! Kim met with us in her office and showed is examples of all of the different votives, vases, and candles we could rent. She had plenty of photos easily accessible by an oversized IPAD making them easy to see. I will be the first to say that my mom was a bit of a handful. She knows her stuff on flowers too and had many preferences (some I didn't even agree with!) Kim was patient with us as we came to compromises we all loved. We had many conference calls going over the details over and over. Kim never got frustrated with us! We also made several changes and they immediately updated our invoices and all other paperwork. My mom wanted to pay for the flowers on her own. Kim understood my mother's budget constraints and helped us get to our desired price point by thinking smart about repurposing, etc. Kim wanted to be creative with our escort cards and was able to make it work with our venue Belle Mer. While I know very little about flowers....I am in awe of Kim and Chris. They are so talented and LOVE what the do!

This couple. This duo - stole my heart. From the moment I met Kim in her super chic showroom, she made me feel like I was the only bride in the world. Everything she showed me - from the floral scheme to the table setting - was EXACTLY what I had always envisioned to a T. Kim and Chris are truly unique craftsmen. They take pride in each and every flower they work with and as a result their creations are not only breathtaking but memorable. I had people asking me all night who had done my florals - they even created a massive "flower wall" that acted as the backdrop for all of our photo moments. I highly recommend Greenlion as they are without a doubt the most creative and TALENTED florists you will find in the New England area and beyond.

Greenlion Design is beyond excellent! We had the pleasure of working with Kim and Chris throughout 2017 to plan our wedding floral vision at The Castle Hill Inn. Greenlion Design presents a unique style, creative inspiration, and a warm and inviting partnership, choosing them was our privilege. From our first concept meeting, Kim and Chris were prepared with a visual display board including possible floral options for our big day. Creating a floral plan with them didn't seem like work at all, they have the ability to create an honest partnership with their clients and treat them like family. Above all, they make you feel like their only client and provide meticulous attention to detail, innovated ideas and honest feedback. I was quite composed on my wedding day but managed to get emotional when Kim arrived with my bouquet. I was overwhelmed not only by her beautiful work but with her spirit that I had thoroughly enjoyed working with throughout the entire wedding process. We worked with Kim and Chris from greenlion design for our wedding in September, 2017 and it was phenomenal! We did weeks and weeks of research, met with more vendors than I would've liked, and not one wowed us with unique style and beautiful arrangements like greenlion. Throughout the planning process, Kim and Chris helped develop our color palette and gave us honest and genuine suggestions when we had trouble making decisions (and there were lots of those!) On the day of our wedding, my husband and I were blown away with their work. Kim and Chris completely encapsulated our personalities and vision, delivering a more beautiful day then we even could imagine. We are still in awe of how phenomenal everything came together and honestly cannot highly recommend greenlion design enough. I could not imagine having worked with a better florist for my wedding, Kim and Chris were able to see my dream and make it a reality. If you're getting married in Newport, you need to get your flowers from Greenlion. Kim is brilliant and people are still talking about the floral arrangements weeks after the wedding. I didn't have a Pinterest board or many inspiration photos, but Kim was able to take what I said in conversation and work her magic to bring it to life!! The flowers were even better than I expected (and I had high expectations). Also, Kim is super nice and sweet and is a pleasure to work with. THANKS KIM AND CHRIS!!!

I am not a big flowers person, so when it came to finding a wedding florist I was totally overwhelmed. When I found greenlion's website, complete with pictures of their dogs, I was continually drawn back to it even after building a list of other florists. I chatted with Kim on the phone and when I said "I don't know a whole lot about flowers so I'm not sure what to tell you that I like," she reassured me that we would figure it out! I sent her my Pinterest board of floral inspiration and she put together some ideas for me that I fell in love with. I wanted small, natural looking arrangements on the tables and bouquets with greenery that weren't too large since I am a petite person. We rented a chuppah from greenlion which was the only florals/decor we had for the ceremony and it was absolutely breathtaking. Kim and company did an amazing job on the bouquets, boutonnieres, and table arrangements - my request was that they look natural and complement our venue, which they absolutely nailed. Plus, now I can name a couple kinds of flowers that I like! :) Kim was always available to answer questions and give me new ideas when she thought of something. She was incredibly flexible with changing the number of arrangements when our number of tables went down, and was able to repurpose a lot of flowers in other places between ceremony/cocktail hour/reception as well as incorporating family heirlooms in my bouquet and on the chuppah. For me, as a person who doesn't really care that much about flowers, I was absolutely stunned at how beautiful everything was and I loved every bit of blossoms and greenery we had. Kim is amazing to work with! I described my vision for my bouquet, the centerpieces, and the pew designs for the church and Kim's work completely blew me away. She captured my vision and produced absolutely unique and breathtaking designs. She is very easy to get in touch with and was willing to work with me whenever I had small adjustments or changes. There are no words to describe Km’s breathtaking work. From initial contact she was a dream to work with: personable, hands-on, flexible, and engaged. She listened carefully to my vision, reviewed Pinterest boards, and even pinned along with me in the process. She sent me vision boards, offered individual flower varietals for review, and was incredibly patient and attentive to an incredibly detail oriented (and part-time florist) bride. Kim took my vision, enhanced it, and brought it to life in the dreamiest way imaginable. The flowers were lush, fresh, romantic, and each bloom was hand chosen and high quality. The setup was flawless, timely, and nonintrusive. She was responsive, competitively priced, and awesome to be around during our consultation, amazing workshops, and on wedding day. Kim and Christopher at greenlion far exceeded my expectations for wedding florals and I am so grateful to have had the opportunity to work with them. My vision for wedding flowers wasn’t totally clear when I had my first meeting with Kim in her beautiful studio, but I knew immediately that I wanted to work with greenlion and she would help me figure it out. Kim is beyond talented and her work is truly exceptional. But in addition to all of that, she is incredibly knowledgeable about her craft, gave honest advice, was very down-to-earth, and always made me feel like my wedding was special and important. Kim brought a lot of joy to my wedding planning process (which I really appreciated since wedding planning can sometimes get a little overwhelming). In the time leading up to my wedding, she helped me clarify my vision for flowers by asking lots of questions to make sure she understood exactly what I wanted. We also shared visions on Pinterest and via email and had a thorough final details meeting via skype (as I was an out-of-state bride). All of the wedding florals I have seen from Kim and Christopher are outstanding so I had complete confidence in them, and they delivered BIGTIME on my wedding day! Everything was so well executed, well thought out, and gorgeous!! From the bouquets to the centerpieces and boutonnieres—the attention to detail was exquisite and the florals added so much beauty to our celebration. I will never forget pulling up to the church in the trolley and being so wowed by the beautiful garland they had woven around the railings lining the entryway. I felt so special!!! Where do I even begin? Kim's work is like no other, absolutely breathtaking and transforming. She was able to read my mind and put my thoughts into the most beautiful setting I've ever seen. I cannot adequately articulate what a wonderful experience I had working with Kim of Greenlion Weddings for all of my wedding florals. From our first meeting, Kim was an absolute pleasure to work with. She truly heard all of my ideas, made sure that she understood the style I was going for, and helped me to solidify a floral vision. The service she provided was above and beyond what was expected -- from sending a post-meeting vision board to sharing an ideas pinterest board and meeting with me at my venue space to finalize design ideas. As a bride, I found choosing my florist to be one of the most difficult decisions to make because there was no real way I could sample/try on/see first-hand the end product until the day of the actual wedding. I contacted, interviewed, and received estimates from five of Rhode Island's most highly rated florists and Greenlion came out on top in every regard. I wanted to do something slightly unconventional in that I was not interested in anything pastel pink or white or grey but rather rich deep colors like burgundy, plum, and emerald - super flowy, rich, overgrown, and organic. Kim was immediately up to challenge from our first phone conversation (which, by the way, she was the first to respond after I had contacted all aforementioned florists). She was able to interpret exactly what I was describing to a tee and offer up additional suggestions that brought my initial idea to a whole new level. I was always amazed at how perfectly in sync our thoughts were. Throughout all of our communication, she was extremely professional, but also friendly and supportive. She provided just the right amount of guidance (e.g., informing me which flowers may have been out of season, but also suggesting in-season alternatives) without seeming critical and was always open to feedback I had about her ideas. She was also very conscious of my budget and did her best to work within the (often fluctuating) guidelines I provided her. Fast forward to the day of the wedding - the floral arrangements could not have been more perfect. My bouquet, about which I was perhaps the most stressed, was BEYOND gorgeous, absolutely incredible in every way (and she even managed to sneak in a few of those out-of-season flowers because she knew I loved them so much). I have no reservations about choosing Kim as my florist and would highly suggest her to any bride interested in creating an unforgettable backdrop for their big day.

Kim was phenomenal to work with, from start to finish! From the minute I walked into her studio, I knew I was in good hands. I know very little about flowers, but I had a very distinct vision for what I wanted my wedding to look like. Kim understood my vision and brought it to life so perfectly. The room looked more gorgeous that I could have ever imagined and the bridesmaids could not stop talking about how beautiful their bouquets were. Kim was also incredibly professional and very responsive to all of my emails and last minute detail questions. I am so glad I took the chance to reach out to Kim at greenlion to see if she would come to Boston for our State Room wedding because working with her was one of the best decisions we made. From my very first email with Kim she understood the style I was looking for and I knew the flowers at our wedding would be beautiful! Kim created a mood board for us mixing some images I had shared with her with some of her own, and would even email us when something caught her eye for our wedding! She is extremely knowledgeable about what she does and while other florists told me peonies would be impossible in December, Kim knew that they would not only be available but also within our budget. One of the most memorable days of our wedding planning was meeting Kim for a day in Newport where we got to look at all of her beautiful mercury glass vessels and votives we would be using for our wedding. Truly no detail was overlooked and Kim even provided us with beautiful lanterns to use as our card holders on our gift table. Leading up to the wedding Kim went above and beyond for us. The week of the wedding, I mailed pieces of lace from my mother and mother-in-law’s wedding gowns and Kim used it to wrap their bouquets. She coordinated with both our photographer and the State Room, and not only traveled to Boston for us but stopped at the two separate hotels my husband and I were staying at to deliver the bouquets and boutonnieres before setting up at our reception space. The flowers at our wedding were truly beautiful. When we arrived to the reception our event planner told us she had never met a florist who paid more attention to detail than Kim and it truly showed. It is no surprise that Kim is one of Martha Stewart’s Top Floral Designers but in addition she is one of the kindest people we have ever had the chance to meet. I would recommend greenlion weddings to anyone getting married in the New England area. Each wedding she designs is more classically beautiful than the last!

From the very first meeting Kim was welcoming and truly listed to our vision. She pulled together some examples that she thought we may like from our Pinterest board, and helped guide us through our own unorganized desires. Kim not only helped with the flowers, but really has an amazing sense for how the floral design plays with the venue and the wedding day. Her process felt completely custom and authentic. We would highly recommend Green Lion Wedding Designs for the floral décor at any wedding venue. We worked with Kim Lamothe who is incredibly talented and was recommended to us through Castle Hill Inn where my daughter got married. She completely embraced my daughters vision for her wedding day and went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect. She is highly organized and easy to contact. We found her so be very warm and sweet and easy to work with and we were thrilled how the vision turned into a reality the day of her wedding. Her bouquet and those of her bridesmaids were gorgeous(roses and peonies). The table florals were amazing as was the beautiful garland she placed on the arbor for the wedding ceremony itself. Greenlion weddings is the best. Kim is the best. Perhaps it is because we share a similar aesthetic, but I've seen her do other events that are totally different so I'm not going to chalk it up to that. This woman basically read my mind and gave me exactly what I wanted. We met once, for less than hour. I gave her vague contradictory words like brooklyn, loft, cape, water, antique, NO COLOR. and she pulled off the most amazing flower arrangements. I felt confident just letting her run with whatever she thought fit, and she killed it. Low key, no fuss, down to earth. That is what you want in a wedding vendor. At least, that's what I wanted, and she has it all. That and an incredible talent to back it all up.

I am SO happy we found Kim and Greenlion!!! As soon as I saw pictures of Greenlion’s creations, I knew I wanted to work with Kim for my wedding. Communicating my ideas to Kim was seamless – she instantly understood my vision and, from there, I knew I did not have to worry about explaining the details of what I wanted. Kim and Greenlion truly exceeded my expectations as a florist and also by going above and beyond just floral design – Kim also provided us with helpful insight for other features and provided actual décor items for the escort table, gift table, etc.

Even the chuppah was exactly what I had asked for. The raw wood was stunning and the flowers looked gorgeous hanging from each corner. It was breathtaking with the setting sun at Belle Mer. The flowers lasted an entire week after the wedding and I loved having them all over the hotel room! Kim delivered the bouquets and boutonnières to the villa we were staying in and made sure we were very happy before she left. Green lion is the best florist to work with if you are getting married in Newport. Thank you Kim!!!!

I'll start by saying that I live in San Francisco and got married in Newport RI. I planned my entire wedding myself and will say that it is no easy task from across the country...then add on a three hour time difference.

I had a clear vision for my flowers and was in search of a vendor that married elegance and pristine details with a personal and unique experience. With Newport being the wedding destination that it is... many florists I met with just churned out as many weddings as they could in one weekend. I knew from the start that I didn't want that.

Then I met Kim. Kim was professional and her flowers exquisite. Kim listened to my vision and treated me as her number one priority from day 1 and until today. I was the ONLY wedding she did on April 26th and that was such a comforting feeling. She worked the budget I gave her and came up with creative ways to allocate my spends so I was getting everything that was important to me.

Since I was across the country, Kim spent hours...HOURS... with me on the phone and even on Facetime. She showed my fiance and I ideas and her thoughts over Facetime so I was able to see the flowers she was recommending. It made me feel so much closer to the process while being so far away. Last minute changes? Kim was so incredibly understanding and flexible - and captured every change/detail without question.

Wedding day came and the flowers were beyond what I could have ever asked for! Simply GORGEOUS. I am still getting compliments (2 months later) on how gorgeous the colors and arrangements were. She captured my vision perfectly and made our day so incredibly beautiful.

I would recommend Kim and Greenlion to anyone in a heartbeat! And thank you from the bottom of our hearts Kim for making our wedding day so beautiful! :-)

Kim was wonderful to work with. She totally understood my vision. I simply created a pinterest board and shared it with her. By the time we met in person, she was finishing my sentences and giving ideas I hadn’t even dreamed of. She was also incredibly flexible with our budget and came up with creative ways of repurposing flowers/decor and making our dollar really stretch. I couldn’t be more happy with how this turned out. The flowers had beautiful blooms and bold colors, just as I had wanted. She has worked closely with my caterer (Smoke & Pickles) so their strong professional and personal relationship made me feel like I was in great hands and knew I was covered from every possible angle. I can not say enough about how wonderful Greenlion is. Kim was so lovely to work with and totally got my vision. She was super responsive throughout the entire planning process and I really appreciated how transparent she was with budget, design possibilities- all of it. We got married in the fall but I didn't want the super dark colors that are normally associated with the season (i.e. orange, reds, etc.). She understood from the beginning, worked with inspiration images I sent her and the result was unreal- I could not have been happier with how it turned out and we're still getting emails from our guests regarding the flowers, pictures, etc. I would highly recommend her for any Newport (or RI/Boston-area) wedding!

If you are looking for a true artist who understands all aspects of design (floral, space, lighting, color, texture, etc!) – look no further. We were lucky enough to work with Kim Lamothe, who brought our “vision” to life and much, much more. Planning a Newport, RI wedding from NY wasn’t the easiest, however, Kim’s responsiveness to emails and interest in our planning (especially during some of her busiest months) were nothing short of impressive.

After meeting Kim for the first time in her adorable, bright and breezy studio, I asked her if we (my fiancé, mom and mom-in-law) absolutely confused her with ALL of our ideas and she said “I absolutely love what I do and not to worry, we will make it all work”. And she did! From that first meeting to the last hour of our reception, her passion and creativity shined through in everything she touched and our floral design was the icing on the cake for our big day. She is flexible, CALM, original in her concepts, laid back and most of all, caring both personally and professionally. Each table and display is carefully designed and executed, and in this business, is a rarity!

When we were picking a florist, we knew that we wanted something that looked elegant, handpicked, prepared with love, and warm. We found exactly that in Greenlion. Furthermore, Kim has those qualities too! She is so kind, calm, and smart-- she won my husband over by knowing the latin names for all the flowers I picked and holding our dog during our entire first meeting! I was extremely lucky to have Greenlion provide the florals and decor for my recent wedding at Sweet Berry Farm in Middletown, Rhode Island and I cannot say enough good things about them! I planned my wedding from a remote research station within a limited time frame, so I needed very organized and responsive vendors, and Greenlion delivered completely! I give them my highest recommendation.

I could only get to Sweet Berry Farm twice in the months leading up to the wedding, and Kim Lamothe, Greenlion's owner, was very accommodating and grasped my vision immediately within minutes of our first meeting. I had a very specific vision which she and her team executed beautifully and creatively. Her suggestions were brilliant and perfect complements to the vision I had created. Throughout the planning process, Kim was incredibly responsive and even allowed me to completely change the color scheme of the florals just three weeks prior!

On our wedding day, everything was beautiful and perfect-- from our rustic autumny chuppah to the delicate raspberries in my bouquet (which everyone thought was the most beautiful bouquet they'd ever seen!), from the amazing dessert display glowing with candlelight to the stone mantle and fireplace overflowing with candles, greenery, and colorful autumn harvest-- everything looked amazing. I am so glad I worked with Greenlion for my wedding florals and decor. It was exactly what I envisioned and so much more! Thank you, Greenlion, for a gorgeous wedding.

Kim of greenlion was recommended to me by my wedding planner and the whole planning process with her went perfectly. Kim is extremely creative and not only designed the flowers but was a huge help with the design of the whole event. The designs she created completely transformed the plain white room our reception was in. She even moved all of the ceremony flowers outside when it stopped raining right before start time and was a huge advocate for us when the venue really didn't want to move everything outside!

Her pricing was very reasonable and she was extremely conscious of my budget. Every item and flower we talked about she told me the price upfront, and if a certain flower or design would put us over budget she thought of another way to create the same look. She is extremely responsive over the phone, email and Pinterest which was extremely important to me as an out of town bride. Thanks Kim!! Hope to find an opportunity to work with you again.

By far, the best vendor we worked with during our wedding was Kim from GreenLion Weddings. From the very first meeting Kim completely understood the look and feel we were hoping to achieve with our wedding. We had a very short engagement, which could have made the planning very stressful, but Kim eased our worries constantly. She kept us updated throughout, gave us new ideas with inspirational images, and really helped us pull all aspects of the design/decor/flowers of the wedding together. Kim frequently checked in with us before the wedding, answered phone calls & emails immediately, kept us on budget, and the day of the wedding took care of EVERYTHING. It was such a relief to know that I could completely trust Kim the day of to make sure everything was where it should be and how it should look. She delivered above and beyond our expectations and we could not be more grateful to have had her as part of our special day.

PS- Kim is a big dog lover and frequently invited our 2 dogs down to meetings in her studio...that pretty much sealed the deal for us to work with her!

Kim was my favorite wedding vendor, hands down! (And I had a lot of amazing vendors!) From the very beginning, Kim was professional, extremely responsive and provided an attention to detail that I really appreciated. Throughout the year we were in constant contact through email, Pinterest, Facebook, phone calls, etc. planning both the big and little details. We even had a "mock up" where I was able to see some of the flowers and go through all sorts of options for the big day. Kim created beautiful arrangements in a soft palette of blush, peach, and ivory with accents of lavender - it was absolutely gorgeous and the flowers were incredible! She really takes the time to listen and understand what you are trying to achieve and provides so many helpful suggestions. Kim is much more than a florist - she really helped to create the design and vision that I was trying to achieve for the big day. Kim surpassed my expectations for what she was able to provide... My wedding was last weekend on a beautiful sunny day at Belle Mer in Rhode Island, and Kim's flowers were the star of the show! I had a vision of romantic, soft pastel flowers and draping varieties and Kim made sure that everything down to the last detail was flawless. She has an encyclopedic knowledge of flowers, and an amazing aesthetic to go hand in hand, which made for breathtaking arrangements! Initially I had no idea how everything would come together, but with Kim's creativity it made the process so much more fun, and the possibilities were endless. It was truly a dream come true.. and I would recommend her to anyone in a heartbeat. Kim's energy is upbeat, personable and oh so genuine... which was really important to me, as most of the vendors I've worked with on my wedding unfortunately seemed a little jaded and didn't seem to put in as much effort as I would have appreciated. Greenlion weddings did the flowers for our December wedding, and the flowers were wintry and absolutely magical.
I knew that Kim's work was fabulous from the pictures on her site, but really the flowers at the wedding were beyond my expectations.

I am not the only one that LOVED the flowers - people were commenting the entire night about how gorgeous they were!
Greenlion was everything we could have asked for in a florist - talented and professional - plus you can really tell from looking at the flowers how much passion Kim has for what she does.

I had a very unusual vision for what I wanted and after a few descriptive words and a brief email conversation, Kim made a mood board for me with literally the exact same images I'd pulled from the internet (without ever telling her about them!) She is super nice, easy to work with, just gets what you want without having to explain everything in complete detail and can roll with it when things change at the last minute (ie. super windy day). I truly cannot express my gratitude for greenlion designs for creating one of the most beautiful atmospheres I have ever seen in my life, and for my wedding day. Like some of you (and unlike many others, haha), I had NO idea what I wanted for my wedding. I always have had a soft spot for looking through wedding magazines with my mom and gushing over beautiful moments captured in photographs but I had no idea I had to pick a "theme" or "colors" etc. I was overwhelmed. I had the man I loved in my life, and a feeling I wanted to be able to share with everyone that I felt close to, and that's pretty much as far as I got on my own with the planning! First, I will say that from start to finish I never once felt rushed, ambushed, or judged. Greenlion took the time to get to know me, made me feel so comfortable, and actually made the process incredibly fun! Greenlion took the feeling that both my husband and I felt, and took what we loved in life the most and created the most magical night for us. From the soft and lush green ferns that made us feel like we were doing what we loved the most (hiking in vermont!) to the luscious and bright pops of reds and oranges and pinks of the dahlias, we felt like we couldn't believe how much greenlion "got it." When everyone else laughed at our urge to bring our love for rustic vermont to our wedding.... in beachy newport.... greenlion added vintage boxes, antique silver, and soft lighting to bring it to life. There was never any surprises, and I never felt like we couldn't fit something into my budget. Greenlion always had amazing options for us, and even incorporated very sweet personal touches. Thank you greenlion!!! You are truly artists and I'm currently brainstorming my next party just so we can work together again!

Kim is absolutely amazing. She really loves her work and it shows. I had a very specific vision in mind and was very active in the planning of every detail of the wedding...however when I showed up to to the floral mock up, I was stunned, Kim took my vision and made it a thousand times better, after that when she would ask me my preference on something I just told her to do whatever she thought would look best. designed bridal party bouquets and wedding reception arrangements that were simply gorgeous. She incorporated muted dark orange calla lilies along with brighter ranunculus and natural berries that were fitting for the autumn theme-- they popped with color and perfectly coordinated with the bridesmaids’ gowns, the groomsmen’s chocolate suits and the foliage and the casual chic barn reception venue's décor and architectural elements. They were just the warm, luminous and soft elegance that I was hoping for. We got lots of compliments from our guests and photographers.

Kim was a pleasure to work with right from the very beginning. She very very approachable and conversational and listened to what I wanted and she had photos and samples and I loved her suggestions. She has a natural eye for color and line and has extensive experience with creating artistic botanic arrangements. She was also very flexible and incredibly competitive in terms of both the magnitude of our vision and the pricing The quality and condition of her flowers were flawless. Even our flower girl LOVED her tiny tea rose vivid orange pomander--she only parted with it to dance later on that night.

I recommend Kim over any other florist for her amazing fresh new ideas, gifted design, accommodating style and competitve pricing!

OH MY GOD! Kim is a dream. I just got married in Cape Cod at the Wychmere inn this past Sunday and the only regret I have is not hugging Kim from Greenlion for 1/2 hour, she was so amazing. The flowers were absolutely breath taking, exactly what I wanted them to be. The wedding was supposed to be on the beach but being Cape Cod the weather changed day of. This could have been disastrous as I refused a back up plan just assuming it would be good weather (i know brilliant), but Kim saved the day, she asked me minimal questions... enough to make sure I would be happy, but not so many that I was stressing out (which would have been easy 7 hours before the ceremony). When I walked down the aisle I was absolutely stunned at her incredible work and AND they way she picked up on exactly what I wanted and translated that to a now indoor wedding. I would divorce my husband and get married all over again just to have the pleasure of working with her. I really cannot say enough positive things. thank you kim!

I can not describe how exquisite and ornate Kim and Chris made our wedding! In speaking with Kim for the first time, I felt as though I was chatting with a lifelong friend. She is so very warm and endearing and knows her craft inside and out. Kim is openly interested in your ideas for your wedding and adds touches of her own flair with an artistic eye and natural flare for simple elegance. She is truly an expert in her field and her skill unparalleled. Kim incorporated our vineyard wedding setting to the tables by adding wine bottle centerpieces with smaller vessels for added depth and dimension. Greenlion Weddings was at the top of my list when it came to selecting the floral arrangements and decor for our wedding day. Kim is such a sweetheart and the first time my fiance and I sat down with her to discuss our vision (which, she came fully prepared for with notes and beautiful images that reflected an earlier conversation on theme and color) we instantly clicked. Everything from her down-to-earth attitude and natural and organic style was appealing and I knew instantly that she had a strong passion for what she does.

Always available for calls, texts, emails or face-to-face meetings, we felt completing comfortable letting her and her team take the reigns when it came down to our reception decor. Not only did they provide GORGEOUS bouquets, boutonnieres and centerpieces, but Kim put together a stunning array of found vessels and votives, as well as candlelight and tulle "curtain" for one of our entryways.

I would absolutely recommend Greenlion to any couple looking for one-on-one attention and service. I promise, the outcome will be amazing!

Kim of greenlion weddings was an absolute delight to work with. As a bride who had a very specific vision in mind, I found Kim to be a perfect fit. She really listened to what I wanted and offered suggestions that were right in line with what I envisioned. I am also very "visual" and found it extremely helpful that Kim would bounce vision boards back and forth with me throughout the process. The weekend of my wedding, right up until the morning of the wedding, Kim texted me pictures of what she was specifically doing with the arrangements and was open, very receptive, and proactive with my feedback. I really valued her open communication with me and the want to give me exactly what I envisioned on my wedding day.

In the end, Kim's execution was flawless. Everything from the bouquets and table arrangements right down to the different vessels and candles used throughout the space was everything and more that I imagined it to be.

I would highly recommend Kim to any bride without hesitation. Not only did she deliver in the end, she made the process enjoyable and stress free and left me feeling like I had gained a friend.

I got married in Newport, RI in July 2010 and Greenlion Weddings made it a spectacular day! When I think back on my wedding and Kim Lamothe I get a huge smile on my face because she made the event AMAZING!!! From the moment I met with greenlion I knew things would be perfect. I was a bride that often had difficulty creating a "vision" in my head and expressing it to others - but Kim and I sat down, chatted about life, marriage, and flowers and somehow she infused the personality of myself, my fiance, and my family right into the decor of the day. The flowers were fresh, full and stunning - they actually still looked amazing after I came back from my honeymoon a week after the event. Greenlion paid attention to detail - really placing florals in every nook/cranny/and corner at the venue - My venue was Belle Mer and the mantle decorations over their fireplace were STUNNING - I often joke that next to the portrait of my husband and I - I want to hang the professional photographer's photo of the mantle....it was AMAZING - looked like something out a botanical garden/fairy tale- Kim even took the time to make a special boutonniere for my husband - made out of a fish hook - a nice touch for the groom...who often dosnt get anything as "special" as the bride on the wedding day...the value was superb - we never felt pushed into spending out of our budge. they were professional, emailed great proofs, and were reliable. I have already recommended them to many friends...Thank you Greenlion!

Kim at Greenlion is PHENOMENAL!!! She is smart, creative, incredibly talented, energetic, and hard-working. Working with Kim was an absolute pleasure. She did WAY more than just the flower arrangements - she was the creative genius behind our table cards, the lanterns that hung from the ceiling, the twinkly lights around the room, and the chuppah. With great love and respect for my Papa's tallis (a Jewish prayer shawl), Kim created the most beautiful chuppah. She is the BEST!!!

Words can’t describe how beautiful Kim made our wedding! As an out of town bride, I was so happy that she worked so well over email. She is incredibly flexible, creative and truly wanted to make me(us) happy on our day. Her photo/idea boards helped me visualize what the day would be like, but we got a lot more than we bargained for on the photo board. Guests still tell me how beautiful the mantle (@ Belle Mer) was that where we wed. I even still hear about the small details that she took care of in areas I didn’t think of (the bathroom, the cocktail hour). They made such a difference!

She’s environmentally and personally friendly:) I recommend Kim (Greenlion) to those who want it all from their florist. She really is the best.

Kim was a complete pleasure to work with. I would gladly reccomend her to anyone looking for a florist/event designer for any occasion, especially a wedding. Kim is such a thoughtful person and she has many interesting ideas but still listens to what you are looking for and really understands that it is your day. When I met Kim she was simply my florist but by the end she was a dear friend who shared my most special day with me from start to finish and really made the whole thing so special.

Overall, it was truly a pleasure working with Kim at Greenlion. She was professional, responsive and understood my vision right from the start. She made the entire process simple and fun. It is clear she loves what she does which showed through in the product. The tablescapes, flowers and decor were exactly what I pictured and we were thrilled with the way everything came together. Working with Kim at Greenlion was a dream!! I wasn't really sure what I wanted when I first contacted her, but I did know that I had almost no money left in the budget! Kim was very willing to work with us. We ended up with phenomenal bouquets and boutonierres. She even assembled our DIY centerpieces for us the day of the wedding. Overall the wedding looked very lush with lots of beautiful touches and surprises all over the place. Our total bill was under 2000 dollars and it looked wonderful!!

From the first meeting with Kim, I knew she was the perfect florist for our wedding. Her attention to detail and unique design elements were exactly what I hoped for. We were so impressed with her ability to bring our ideas about what we wanted our wedding flowers to look like, and so appreciated all of the extra details she was able to bring. I was absolutely thrilled to hire Greenlion and join our wedding planning team. I chose Kim because her style was very different than what I was seeing. She infused different elements that really showed me that she was paying attention to detail. It was not about just getting her job done, she was excited by it and wanted to make everything perfect!

I really liked working with Kim because I did not know exactly what I wanted initially and she was able to allow creative process to be one that was collaborative. Along the way I told her flowers that were off limits, images I did not like, and shared with her elements including flowers, colors, and details that I thought were beautiful. She was able to interpret those ideas into something that was absolutely wonderful and very unique. Her work is so diverse and it shows that she truly gets to know each bride and work with what they want and what makes them happy. On the day of my wedding I thought my bouquet was beautiful, but the way she transformed the Island House at Belle Mer was just perfection. She included elements such as my grandmother's doilies without looking grandmotherish and made it look so romantic and classy. She also brought in glass cake stands and topiaries and created a beautiful tablescape at the entry that was incredibly unique and unlike anything I have seen at any other wedding.

We had a little bit of a challenge connecting in the weeks right before the wedding, but she definitely pulled through and gave my wedding the attention that was needed. She was even quite flexible, and we had some extra money in our budget two weeks prior to the wedding, Kim was able to juggle things and add some additional details that really added to our day.

Kim at Greenlion was a perfect mix of creative, tasteful, and bold. She was so helpful in bringing out the vision I had for the wedding and all of her choices were perfectly spot on in helping me to achieve the overall look I was going for. Kim was very patient with taking last minute changes and suggestions and every single flower she selected was perfect. Given our flower choices, her pricing is also very reasonable, and Kim was very willing to work with us to get our price down while still keeping our overall vision in tact. Kim does beautiful work and I highly recommend her to everyone!

Kim from Greenlion Design was a pleasure to work with. She offered creative ideas at a great value. I was very pleased with the end result and she helped to make our wedding day beautiful. The added touch of mussels were just lovely for our seaside event.
