Marissa and Green Gables exceeded our expectations!
My husband and I got married at Green Gables a little over a month ago, and we're still basking in the joy and magic of our special day! We can't recommend Marisa and the Green Gables team enough - they truly made our wedding dreams come true.
From the moment we started planning, Marisa was with us every step of the way, offering expert guidance, creative ideas, and unwavering support. Her attention to detail, passion for her work, and ability to anticipate and handle any issues that arose were truly impressive.
Green Gables proved to be the perfect venue for our celebration - the lush surroundings, charming decor, and warm ambiance created a welcoming atmosphere that our guests absolutely loved. And the food? Exceptional! Our guests are still raving about the delicious cuisine.
What struck us most was Marisa's ability to bring our unique vision to life, while also ensuring that every moment was relaxed, enjoyable, and stress-free. Her calm and reassuring presence kept us focused on what mattered most - celebrating our love and commitment to each other.

Everything we dreamed of!
When we first came across this venue, we already knew it would probably be the place we would get married. It was seriously the only venue we looked at in person! It was everything we wanted, especially because the aesthetic of our wedding was going to be a little different than the norm. It had that beautiful vintage look, lush gardens, and just the right amount of space for our large wedding without feeling cramped at all. Every step in the process was so helpful, especially Marissa - she was a godsend. I'm the type of person who doesn't let go of control very well, but I didn't worry once the day of, or leading up to the wedding for that matter, because I knew Marissa had it completely taken care of. The staff in general was AMAZING and if there were any snafus, we had no idea. Everyone was kind, accommodating, and unbelievably professional. The food was delicious (appetizers and dinner) and the family-style aspect we chose worked so well with our large guest count. Everything was so wonderful I could go on and on...but seriously, our wedding turned out so perfect! Our guests still talk about it and say it was the most fun wedding they've been to and how beautiful it was. If you're thinking about having your wedding here - do it. I promise you'll be more than happy you did!-

My newly husband and I just got married at Green Gables 3 weeks ago and WOW! It was everything we could've dreamed of. The wedding was absolutely breath taking and the staff was so professional. Shout out to Sage Rodriguez, who was our AMAZING coordinator. We loved her so much! -

Our DREAM wedding venue!
We are SO happy that we went with a Trademark venue for our wedding day. Hands down the best decision we made throughout the entire wedding planning process. More specifically, we went with Green Gables Estate for our December 2023 wedding. All of the Trademark venues come with a venue coordinator that helps with the wedding planning process. We were assigned Sage as our venue coordinator and she was AMAZING. I highly recommend requesting Sage. We had several meetings with Sage throughout the planning process and she was so easy to connect with. She saved us from so much stress throughout the planning process. On the wedding day, she was there from start to finish to make sure everything went perfectly. She made sure that we stayed on track with our timeline and she coordinated day-of plans/timeline with all of our other vendors. She even helped me bustle my dress on the wedding day because my mom went MIA. Sage is a literal angel! I feel like I need a separate review just for Sage because she was that incredible. She truly went above and beyond from the planning stages to rehearsal day to the wedding day and everything in between!
The venue itself was absolutely beautiful! I had so many guests tell me that it was the best and most beautiful wedding they had ever attended. The Trademark catering staff and bartenders were amazing and the food was so delicious! They even had a team catering to the wedding party throughout the day to make sure we were getting drinks and food. A huge bonus was that we were able to provide our own alcohol, which helped save on overall costs. Overall, we are SO happy we chose Green Gables for our special day. If you are considering any of the Trademark venues, definitely go with them!-

Amazing Wedding Venue
Green Gables is a beautiful venue, the staff is accommodating, friendly and helpful. The venue itself is lush with gorgeous greenery, setting a beautiful space for the wedding. The space is set up for your family and friends to enjoy, I would absolutely recommend for your wedding or event we were so happy with the way everything came together. -

Whimsical Fairytale Venue
I'm delighted to share my enchanting experience at this whimsical fairytale wedding venue! From the moment I stepped onto the grounds, I felt transported into a storybook world. Green Gables intricate architecture and lush gardens created a truly magical atmosphere that perfectly complemented our fairytale themed wedding. The attention to detail, from the charming decor to the ethereal lighting, was absolutely breathtaking. Our fairytale wedding dream came true in this enchanting venue, and I couldn't have asked for a more enchanting backdrop for our special day. Marissa, our event planner, was absolutely phenomenal! Her honest and genuine expertise made our fairytale wedding dream come true! I’m all about communication with understanding and Marissa delivered as she continued to reach out with great information so we were always on the same page leading up to our big day! She answered all of our questions quickly or would direct us to that answer. From the moment we started working together, her commitment to making our day unforgettable was evident. Marissa took the time to truly understand our vision and preferences, guiding us through every step of the planning process with transparency and expertise. Her attention to detail was exceptional, and she consistently went the extra mile to ensure every aspect of the event was perfectly executed. Her calm and reassuring demeanor helped alleviate any stress, making the planning journey enjoyable. Marissa mcnamara!
Where do I start? Trademark venues have their stuff down. From site selection, to tasting, to communication, expectations, day-of, and execution, I could not have imagined a better experience and day for my wife and I even if I tried. What really made our experience great was Marissa. She was so calm and attentive. Poised and intelligent. We could seriously go on. My wife and I joked that we should get married once a year just to work with Marissa again. From the bottom of our hearts, thank you Marissa and the Trademark team.

Magical Venue, Delicious Food, and Amazing Staff!
We loved Green Gables Estate so much. It was the perfect venue for 265 guests and if you really like magical, rustic vibes! They can even go higher to accommodate 300 guests. The decorations, staff, and our coordinator were just perfect! We really liked our coordinator Sage. She was absolutely great to work with and she followed our timeline so well. Without her, our day would not have been so perfect. She helped us solve any issues that came up during the wedding and she was very on top of things. The food was also so delicious. We ordered Tri tip and the Shrimp and Salmon Farfalle Pasta which was delicious!! Their menu always changes since it's all locally grown ingredients and seasonal. However, their chefs are really amazing! We really liked how they offered family style as an option to serve dinner. Basically family style is a buffet style brought right to the tables. The bartenders also did an excellent job keeping the line moving and getting everyone drinks (sometimes a little heavy on the pour ;) ). Thank you to everyone at Trademark Venues and all of the staff at Green Gables!!-

Beautiful Venue and Amazing Staff!
We did a tour of Twin Oaks and Green Gables (both owned by Trademark Venues). The moment we started the tour, we felt like the staff knew what they were doing. We felt at ease with the process and stunned by the beauty of both venues. We ended up choosing Green Gables for its beautiful ceremony grounds under the big pepper tree. We also felt it was a fair price for what they offered. Definitely recommend! -

Our Wedding Day - Pure Perfection!
Jay and I were married at Green Gables Estate San Marcos, CA on August 16, 2019. I don’t even know where to begin – EVERYTHING about this venue, it’s atmosphere, the service, the food and coordination team was literally ON POINT. Green Gables made our dream wedding a reality, and we would recommend them a million times over. It is difficult to find a location that offers it all – from 10.5 private and uninterrupted hours with your friends and family, space to get ready, a beautiful ceremony location, full event set-up, delicious food and a grand reception area that will WOW your guests. It is as if you’ve entered your own little fairytale while on property. It will take your breath away. The Green Gables staff – I don’t even have the words. Hannah Tortosa, our wedding coordinator was beyond amazing. She became a sister to me through the process. She and the rest of the staff bent over backwards to ensure we had the day that we always dreamed of. Every detail was planned and executed with pure precision. Absolutely incredible people and a gorgeous venue to call home on your wedding day!-

Great Venue - Rain or Shine!
My husband and I must have visited at least 20 venues over a 6 week period - Green Gables was the first one we looked at (and then subconsciously compared the others to) and we ultimately chose this location because it was beautiful, had everything we wanted, and they made everything so effortless and easy. Michelle set everything up for us and answered our many many questions, and Petar was a Godsend as a coordinator. He was quick to respond to messages, eased our concerns and let me wait until nearly the last minute to make final decisions, because it ended up raining (really hard) on our wedding day. We decided approximately 1.5 hours before the ceremony to move the entire wedding inside the reception tent (for 150 people), but they pulled off the best possible backup plan we could have hoped for, and we had one of the most unique San Diego weddings because of it! The food was also fantastic - our guests raved about all of the delicious options and ease of service with the food stations. We are so so happy that we chose to have our wedding here - they made our dream wedding possible, despite the rain!-

THE PLACE to get married in the Northern San Diego County area
From the second we walked onto the grounds of this establishment we knew this was the place to say our "I Do's". Hidden away in it's own little oasis is this beautiful old white school house and SO much greenery you feel like you're in a secret garden. The grooms suite has been transformed into a 1920s-Gatsby style speakeasy and is absolutely incredible, while the bridal suite is INSIDE the old white schoolhouse. It looks like something straight out of a fairytale. Every piece of this property is absolutely stunning and we cannot WAIT to get married here! The staff is so friendly and accommodating; our tour guide (Jill, I believe?) was adorable and super nice listening to every concern or question we had. -

Beautiful Venue
What can I say about this beautiful, vintage, hidden away spot, it is absolutely amazing! I knew from the moment I stepped on the grounds that this would be the fairytale place to get married. Everyone is extremely friendly and helpful, Melissa our day of and really throughout the year coordinator was just simply amazing and professional. If you are looking for an outside wonderland with twinkle lights Green Gables is the spot. We can’t say enough about how wonderful this place is and how awesome the workers are, it truly was a magical day for us. Thank you again for making our special day extra special.

This is hands down one of the most beautiful places I have ever seen!! Everything about it makes me smile from the venue, to the decor, and the people working there! I am not the wedding planning type, the thought of buying and creating centerpieces is NOT my idea of fun. Green Gables has several centerpieces to pick from that are included in your package or you can feel free to bring your own or add to them in anyway you would like. I can't wait to spend my wedding day getting ready in the vintage school house (with ac) and all the scenery will make amazing photos!-

To start, I’m in love with this venue. Even though I’m already married, I sometimes stop by just to walk around because it is so dang beautiful! From the start, the staff was so professional. The planning process took away the inevitable stress of planning a wedding because they have such an efficient system. This is mostly because they are all inclusive, they provide a planner that you have 3 meetings with and can call/email with immediate responses. This venue is so incredibly beautiful I thought about not even writing a review because I didn’t want anyone else to have it! (I’m selfish) But in reality I’m writing this because the staff at this historic school house made for the most memorable day of my life…my friends and family still talk about it! we danced and danced all night and the food is so good you'll think you're at a 5-star restaurant! The only quam I have with this enchanting venue is that I could only get married here once! Thank you Green Gables staff for your hard work and utmost expertise in making my wedding day special, and for not making me feel like “just another bride.”

Green Gables was the best choice we made during our entire wedding planning process. The moment they started talking about how much they take care of, I felt like I could breathe again. They make a ton of promises in those initial meetings, and they kept every single one.
The venue is just as stunning in person as it is in pictures, and you get the whole place to yourself after 2:00 pm on your wedding day. We arrived earlier than that to get ready, and we weren't bothered at all by anyone touring the venue, so it worked out perfectly! They are extremely professional, and every meeting with them went smoothly. They thought of everything - from the delicious food down to the smallest details that you would never think of.
Daniel was our rehearsal coordinator and our day-of coordinator, and we couldn't have asked for anyone better. He kept us all calm and on track with our timeline, and he was so sweet during the whole day.
The food that is included in the cost of the venue package is amazing - it's all our guests could talk about. It definitely didn't taste like banquet food, and the portions are huge!
If you're put off by the fact that you have to use one of their recommended vendors for the DJ, don't be. We used Greg Gomez at San Diego Partytime DJ's, and he was superb. Our guests were obsessed with the music he chose.
The price for Green Gables is worth your peace of mind - they really will take care of it all, and if anything goes awry on your day, you'll never know it! -

When I first started looking at wedding inspiration photos online, I saved a picture I found on google of a beautiful tented pavilion as part of my "dream" wedding inspiration. We booked a different venue and then our guest count increased and we had to find a new venue. As luck would have it, I found Green Gables and low and behold found the picture of my dream wedding on it. I figured it couldn't hurt to try especially since it was the inspiration to my wedding planning in the beginning, kind of like a sign. Not only was this place affordable but it could fit our guest count, was all inclusive and had the ceremony and reception in the same place. We booked it the very next day. I am a very organized and detail oriented person so I emailed them A LOT! Each time they answered all my questions and concerns and put me at ease. I felt like they truly cared about me and our wedding. They turned my wedding vision into a reality and I got married under a blue lit tented pavilion surrounded by candle light and red roses. The only thing that happened that was mildly disappointing was our dessert which was a pastry buffet was eaten by our guests at cocktail hour before salad was even served...I feel like the desserts should have not been put out that early but our guests are used to buffets so I can't blame them for wanting to eat such beautiful pastries. I just wish I got to sample those desserts too haha. I did replace them from the store down the street but they weren't half as beautiful as the original pastries. They had to have been amazing for them to be eaten all before dinner even started. Overall the experience was amazing. We have guests telling us it was the best wedding they have ever been to and I feel the same (even though I am biased since it was mine haha). I wish I could do it all over again because it was truly an amazing day! The best day ever! Thank you for everything! -

My husband and I were looking for a unique wedding spot and this is it! I was skeptical at first as the location is at an intersection with a heavily traveled highway but once you go in you will fall in love and feel miles away. We had Elham to help us coordinate, she is amazing and very kind. Our friends and family absolutely loved the location and the food, the value is unbeatable. Everyone we had contact with at the venue was more than willing to be flexible and answered questions throughout the months leading up to the wedding. I go into contracts assuming there will be some hidden charges or other "trickery" but there was none. The final bill I received prior to our wedding day was exactly what I thought it was going to be which is a huge relief. I can honestly say our wedding day was stress-free and perfect :) -

We had our wedding here this past weekend. Hands down the very best ever! The team here at Green Gables is the absolute best. Our wedding day went off without a hitch! Elham our coordinator was absolutely amazing. I wish I could get married here everyday! Absolutely no regrets. I would choose this venue 100 times over!
The planning:
GG provides you with a Bridal Binder. You take care of all the planning in three meetings. I am assuming the brides that complain of the coordination were not very organized themselves. With the bridal binder, keeping track of all my correspondence, and creating my own spreadsheets everything was perfect. With the Perfect Wedding package, you are able to utilize more of their stunning furniture without having to pay extra. I would find myself emailing the office staff sometimes more than once a week, they were always helpful and quick to respond.
The day of:
The entire day was planned perfectly and the timeline was 100 percent adhered to. After the ceremony my husband got make up on his shirt from one of the guests right before pictures. Before I could notice Elham ran and got a rag with warm water and got it out. She is amazing! She made sure everything ran smoothly from the cutting of the cake to making our rounds to our guests. The day literally was perfect.

The venue is beautiful!!! Work with Elham and Christian they are by far the best of the green gables staff!! Elham has a beautiful eye for style and is so sweet!! I can't get over how awesome Christian has been through this process! He would email me back within 24 hours or less and answered all my questions. He also helped us to get our DJ approved and get our wedding insurance on file. Our wedding went off very smooth and Elham did everything she could to make sure that our ceremony was outside. 30 min before the ceremony it was poring rain and she made sure that the chairs got covered with tarps and the harpist was under an umbrella. The rain stopped and we got to have our ceremony outside!! She also gave me an umbrella when it started to rain again while we were waiting to go inside the tent. I would recommend this venue to other brides because of its beauty and those two staff members! The hard part about this venue is that you never know who you are going to work with. I was lucky enough to have found christian early on for all my questions and I requested to work with Elham on my wedding day. -

We just got married at Green Gables Wedding estate, and it was truly everything we dreamed of and beyond! Even though it rained on our wedding day, Elham and all the Green Gables staff were very prepared and everything ran smoothly. The ceremony was set up in the venue instead of outside by the gazebo, but Green Gables made the ceremony look stunning. Candles were lit for the aisle and a gazebo was set up in the front. My favorite part of this venue is the chandeliers and the close proximity of the ceremony site to the reception area.
This venue is very easy to plan with because the food, tables, linens, lighting are all included. You just have to bring in any other vendors: Officiant, florist, DJ, photobooth.
I would highly recommend Green Gables wedding estate to anyone looking for an affordable venue, that has a BEAUTIFUL reception and ceremony area. The style is a classic vintage look and the bridal suite has great vintage furniture that makes for gorgeous photos. All of our guests had a blast and the food was great! I would recommend the meatballs as one of your appetizers, they were a winner.

We had our wedding here and it was just gorgeous! The venue is very vintage and rustic.. it's a garden setting so you don't need much to decorate. The team there is AWESOME..they definitely know what they are doing. I had a million questions and everytime they were very patient and accommodating. The day of the wedding ran smoothly. I even had a personal assistant for most of the day! It's the perfect place to have your special day at! -

We looked at several venues online and chose a couple to visit in person. When we visited Green Gables we knew this was where we wanted to get married right away! We wanted an outside wedding and the ceremony and reception at the same location so we wouldn't have to travel in between. We got married under a beautiful gazebo outside and the reception was held under a tented pavilion with hanging chandeliers. The grounds were beautiful during the day and magical at night with twinkling lights.
We chose a package that allowed us to use a lot of the vintage decor available. The bridal suite is fabulous with vintage decor and a fainting couch. The food and cake are included which made planning easier. The food was very good and we received many compliments from guests on it. Shawna was very helpful in designing our cake. We met with Elyse for our "design" meeting to decide on decor and she was great! Very nice, creative, and gave very helpful advice. There really is a lot available for you to use - mismatched china, chalkboards, fainting couches, a variety of centerpieces and more. There is a day-of coordinator provided who helps make sure the day goes smoothly and on time. Phil was excellent! He made sure everything looked the way I wanted and was so helpful the whole day, even cleaned up and packaged the items I brought at the end of the night. When it rained the day before at our rehearsal, Phil assured us they had a back up plan in case it rained on our wedding day. Luckily it cleared up, but I felt confident everything would have been taken care of if it had rained.
Overall, we are very happy that we chose Green Gables for our wedding. We loved how everything turned out the day of and the planning process was made easy. We were given a binder of information and guidelines to stay organized and 3 planning meetings. If you're looking for a beautiful outside wedding with a vintage feel and picturesque photo ops, this is the place for you! -

When my husband and I were looking for a wedding venue, we looked at a lot of places that were nice, but just didn't feel quite right. And then we stumbled on to Green Gables. We actually went to their sister site (also in San Marcos) called Twin Oaks House & Gardens first, and once we found out they didn't have our date, Sean, the GM referred us to Green Gables.
We weren't sure what to expect because the venue is in somewhat of an unexpected location, but once we made our way up the hill to the venue, it was like we were transported to a different time and place. Green Gables had what all of the other venues we visited were lacking...charm. My husband and I immediately fell in love with the history and beauty of this uniquely beautiful wedding estate.
Green Gables is a historical site that features a schoolhouse that was built there in the 1800's. The schoolhouse has been transformed into a gorgeous victorian-style bridal parlor for getting ready the day-of. This area made for some amazing photos! For the ceremony, my girls and I made our way down the steps of the schoolhouse, down a stone path to the gazebo, where the pastor, my groom, and his groomsmen were waiting.
After the ceremony, we took photos on the wooden schoolhouse swing hanging from a gorgeous, old tree next to the schoolhouse. The pictures turned out fantastic! The outdoor area is so naturally beautiful and lush that we didn't have to bother with decorations hardly at all, which was nice.
And finally our cocktail hour and reception were held in the grand tented pavilion with chiffon fabric ceilings, giant white paper lanterns hanging above the large, wooden dance floor, and LED lights shining in our wedding color on the ceiling fabric. We ended up renting the crystal candle trees from the venue for our centerpieces which saved me a ton of time and money, and they looked fantastic!
Green Gables staff is amazing and guided us every step of the way in choosing all of the details of our big day. -

Green gables and their staff really made our wedding day FLAWLESS. Their on-staff all-included wedding planners made the whole process so easy and so organized. I didn't have to worry about anything , I just had to confirm the details we agreed on. Is it cheap? No, but what you get for your price is really above and beyond! A breathtaking venue - it's so beautiful!!!! Decor options, delicious food and wedding planning and coordination all included! They were able to answer any and all questions I had whenever I needed to call them, kept a thorough list of our vendors and kept us and our wedding party on schedule the day of! The location is impeccable, the staff detailed, professional, and truly great at what they do. Green Gables will definitely set you up for a perfect wedding day. -

This venue is amazing. We didn't even hire a florist to do centerpieces or to decorate because the venue is so beautiful that it didn't need anything extra. The food was also delicious!!!! So many of our guests commented on how good the appetizers and entrees were. The staff is so professional and extremely helpful. We had a lot of questions and they were always quick to respond. We especially loved working with Julie. The only not so great experience we had was with the lead coordinator. He gave some inconsistent information in regards to the seating and serving of guests, which in this case was important because we had over 300 guests. We worked hard on the seating arrangements based on the info he gave us, only to have it all change during the reception without us knowing. When we went to make our final payment, he almost overcharged us by $1000. But luckily one of the other staff members was kind enough to make a call to their corporate office and straightened it all out. :) In all fairness, we did have a big event and some changes along the way, so understandably mistakes happen. Regardless of that, I would still HIGHLY recommend this venue because it's really unique and they really worked with us to give us exactly what we wanted. -

My husband and I just recently got married at Green Gables Wedding Estate and it was the day of our dreams.
This venue has it all it's beautiful, charming, rustic, and vintage and it was the perfect backdrop for our special day. It offers everything from the venue, to beautiful rustic furniture and props, to great in house catering. They also let you provide your own booze which saves $$$.
I am from Los Angeles and was certain I would get married there, but as soon as I walked into Green Gables I knew we had to get married their, and it was worth the small drive to San Marcos.
Our planner through it all was the AMAZING Hannah, I knew from the minute we met that we would get along. Hannah is not only organized and an expert of all things Green Gables, but she is also hilarious and fun, and we truly enjoyed spending our time leading up to the wedding and most importantly our wedding day with her. She was there from day one til the actual day making sure that our day went off as planned. I always hear brides say they don't get to eat at their weddings, well after our tasting of the amazing food I told Hannah my main goal was to eat dinner (silly I know, but I love food!); Hannah made sure we ate and always had a drink in hand.
Green Gables is a great place to get married and I would highly recommend it to any new brides & grooms. -

The location is fantastic right off the freeway, completely enclosed and they make you feel it is YOUR day, with only 1 wedding per day the whole place is your from when you get there until you leave. The food was amazing and sooo much of it I recommend the sampling menu the cake was to phenomenal. All the coordinating meeting were worth it to have all the little details worked out weeks and weeks before.
The only problem I had was that my DJ was not on their list but they were accommodating to that little problem. I understand they are not used to having Hispanic Style Wedding, so for future reference they should add a Hispanic DJ on their list of vendors.
But the whole day was amazing! I would recommend this place to everyone looks for a more private style wedding. -

A dream come true
Green Gables truly exceeded what we had dreamt for our big day. It was beautiful and the staff was so thoughtful in making sure we felt our day was true to what we imagined. Everyone was blown away by the beauty of the venue and remarked about our wedding having the best food they’ve ever had at a wedding. Great venue without the stress!
My wife and I found this venue online and once we visited we fell in love! Not only was the venue beautiful, but Trademark Venues also provides everything you basically need. Food, decor, planner, and rentals all in one place and it's perfect for couples who don't want to look too much for outside vendors. The staff is super helpful and we had the best planner, Jeselle, who made the day so stress-free! The food was great, the decor was beautiful, they allowed us to put our personal touches everywhere, and we only received compliments from guests. Although we had a December wedding, no one complained about the temperature in the tent. The venue is BYOB which helps with costs. The only con of the venue is that you don't get access to the bridal suite/salon until 11 am and they are not very flexible on changing the time. We had to start getting ready at 7 am because of having a first look but this did not at all ruin our experience. We are so happy overall! The staff went above and beyond which made our experience that much better! We recommend Trademark Venues, especially Green Gables! -

Beautiful Outdoors
There were some last minute material changes to the outside greenery, florals, and decor made without communicating to us. They also sent out a email saying the switch will be removed. Apparently they got lots of complaints and said the swing would stay, after all. But I do find it funny that they planned on removing the swing without gauging the clients first. Additionally, our first invoice was addressed to the wrong people (Elizabeth and Richard instead of Elizabeth and Robert). Small mistake but huge deal when we’re spending tens of thousands of dollars on a wedding. However, the rest of the venue was magical. The food, the set up, the bridal and groom suites! -

Simply magical!
I would like to start by saying we had the most magical wedding day we could have asked for at Green Gables! A big part of the reason we chose GG is because of the idyllic grounds. My (now) husband and I are not big beach people nor do we like downtown, so we were looking for a place that was green and beautiful and GG was perfect. We also really appreciated that they had nice get ready rooms for both the bride and the groom as many places had nothing (or basically nothing) for the groom.
We also really liked that the venue included a good number of the rental items (ceremony chairs, reception chairs, tables, linens, food, etc.), so it limited the number of vendors you needed to coordinate with and rolled all the cost into one. Additionally, we had wedding planners to help pick decor and answer any questions we may have along the way and they were all super communicative about the process. The venue also did a good number of upgrades to the site between when we booked in December of 2018 and our wedding a year later. They were all beautiful and made the place even more spectacular.
On the day of the wedding, the service from the staff was INCREDIBLE. Amber (the coordinator) made sure everything ran smoothly and kindly made last minute adjustments as needed. There was also a bridal assistant at our beck and call and the manager was walking around checking in as well. The food was also excellent and we received so many compliments on it from the guests (which, let's face it, is unheard of at weddings) and they even sent us home with extra food. The only small thing that could have been better was a last call from the bar as guests were not aware that it was closing at a certain time and were a bit confused.
While the venue includes a lot, I do want to clarify that, like most venues, there are a lot of opportunities for upcharges (colored linens, bar service, decor rental, salon use, certain meal options, etc.), so keep in mind the number you see is probably not the final one when all is said and done. However, there is also no "service charge" percentage added on top which was normally 20-35% at other venues, so there is no giant surprise bill at the end. Also, if you are planning on having a bar, the only option is a hosted one (no stipend or cash bar option). A beer and wine bar is $900 for the service and if you want to include hard alcohol it's $1800 plus BYOB. If you were planning on doing a completely hosted bar, it's a good deal, however, if you weren't, it can be pricey (we had 135 people and spent $1800 on the service and another $1400 on alcohol). No complaints, I just want people to be aware!
Overall, I HIGHLY recommend Green Gables. The planning was super easy, the day went so smoothly due to their efforts, and it's a truly magical setting. I can't wait to see our photos and cherish the wonderful memories of the perfect wedding day! -

We live abroad and were planning our wedding from another country. The staff at Green Gables made our wedding planning an absolute breeze. They were professional, had great communication skills and were super knowledgeable and helpful. If you're looking for a "all-in-one" venue, this is definitely the place for you.

Staff: I was so pleased with my experience with the team here at Green Gables. The staff there are probably the nicest people you'll ever meet. I did have my own wedding coordinator on site and a bridal assistant! She made sure that I had food to eat during the cocktail hour as I was getting ready. The coordinators were easy to reach. The only down fall was during the planning process I met with different coordinators which made it difficult to make sure everyone was on the same page. One person can interpret one thing differently from the other.
Venue: The venue is absolutely stunning, and they are constantly improving the estates. This venue provides the outdoor and indoor feel. The bridal suite has the vintage look with love seats and tons of mirrors. It is a breathtaking site for every bride that steps foot onto the estate grounds. There are fountains, archways, chandeliers, market lights, and rose gardens. Need I say more?
Food: The food vendors they are contracted with are also amazing. They provide a variety of food that will please everyone. My guests were all happy with the cocktail hour tray pass and seated dinner. They addressed that everything was delicious to the very last bite. The cake display was a real cake and not fake like some places I've heard of. How can you have a fake cake display? The cake flavor selection is so huge it's hard to decide what you want. But you can't go wrong with any of them. The cake is moist and tasty, not too sweet and just right.
Flexibility: I had to give them a 4.5/5 because there were some things I wanted but they could not accommodate such as a live band. I settled for a DJ which wasn't too bad. I was lucky enough to have gotten a DJ not from their vendor list. That was nice of them to do since I couldn't have my live band. Of course there are contracts you need done before this happens.
Overall: I had a great experience and would recommend this place to any bride that wants picturesque opportunities. -

The moment I arrived I knew this was the place I wanted to get married. The landscaping is beautiful and very intimate. You would not realize you were in a residential area. I didn't need to add much detail as far as decor for my wedding because the location/gardens were enough. They offer 3 packages which can be customized to your liking. Even a cake baker is included, which eliminated 1 more thing for me to take care of.
I left one start off for professionalism because of their time management/organization-- I had a handful of appointments at the venue with various coordinators and at each visit we did not start on time. My now husband and I would be waiting for at least 20-30 minutes before our appointment would start. There was even one appointment I was called the day before and asked to come in earlier and yet I was still left waiting. Another situation that left us unhappy with services was that a month before our wedding, I was called and asked to move the date of my rehearsal. Apparently they had been hired by a last minute bride to get married that day and her husband was preparing to be deployed. Of course I had to say yes. I did not want to ruin it for another bride. However, It was already hard enough to coordinate for our bridal party to request off (and travel from out-of-town) to arrange for the original date of rehearsal. Luckily, it wasn't too much of a hassle to make the changes to our schedule, however, I felt as though the venue had no problem taking on another wedding/$$$ at the expense of my time. We were compensated for this inconvenience with an added feature at our wedding.
Despite these cons, the wedding day was like a fairy tale!! The issues we faced leading up to the day were definitely redeemed then. The wedding coordinator was by my side at all times and I was even provided an assistant throughout the day to make sure there wasn't anything I needed or if I was feeling okay. I was the happiest bride that day! -

This feedback is pretty late. I had written a review back in November 2012, but I guess it was too long, and I spent too much time typing that it did not go through when I clicked submit, and all of what I wrote disappeared, and I was too tired and upset to re-type it all. :(
Anyway, since my wedding back in November 11, 2012. I have attended two weddings this year, and boy was I so appreciative with the quality of service and choice of venue My husband and I made.
First of all almost everyone that were invited to my wedding attended these other two weddings, and they always keep reminding me about how good the food was at my wedding, and that they really loved how they can serve themselves more if they wanted to (I got the buffet service) because there was a lot of food. I really wish I can go back and taste our wedding food all over again since my husband and I didn't get to enjoy it much because we had to attend to our guests, so future brides and grooms....make sure to set sometime to enjoy their delicious food. In case you are wondering what food we chose. We got the following:

Another thing that stood out when I compare my wedding to these other two weddings I went to, is the quality of service we received from all the staff members. Bernadette was our coordinator, and she did a great job getting all my ideas and making them come alive on the day of.
I would like to thank the Green Gable Wedding Event staff for the AMAZING job you did in making my wedding vision come alive! I love, love, love how you all decorated our sweetheart table! It looked oh so lovely! It was so nice to see all of our hard work come together so beautifully and smoothly! :)
Overall, we truly had a lovely experience, and our guests did as well. I wish I could go back and re-live it all over again. Hehe :) -

We were looking for a rustic, vintage-style private wedding venue to have our outdoor wedding in the San Diego area and with one just visit to Green Gables wedding estate we realized we had found just that and so much more. Green Gables is beautiful; affordable (we got married on a Thursday) and a fun, intimate venue which allows your guests to wander through pretty gardens, an old school house, lit with twinkling lights, fountains, and an awesome huge tent for the reception with colour-coordinated lighting, vintage chandeliers, and a dance floor…
We liked that the wedding package included our cake, pastries, coffee bar, easy menu choices, and a wide variety of props and furniture to get the vintage look that you are after without having to go and buy old suitcases yourself. The package also came with day-of wedding assistant and wedding coordinator. We actually had the coordinator run our wedding rehearsal and everything went beautifully. The wedding assistant was extremely helpful helping out with dress, veil, etc... on the day for getting around between picture locations. The wedding coordinator maintained our schedule perfectly and went the extra mile ensuring that us (bride and groom) had everything we needed so that we could enjoy spending time with our guests.

I had my wedding here and thought it was beautiful and fabulous. I only wish they allowed the music to be louder and go on past 10pm. Beyond that, I found the food to be delicious, the setting to be gorgeous, and the staff to be lovely :) Thank you, Green Gables!! -

Beautiful location and very kind employees! I was very lucky to book them at last minute because they get booked fast! The venue is very vintage and princess like. I loved it and my pictures turned out great! So much beauty to capture on such a special day! -

Green Gables Wedding Estate is one of the most beautiful venues I've ever been to. My only requirement when looking for a venue was that it needed a big beautiful tent for the reception...and Green Gables delivers. The people were nice and helpful, our coordinator Bernadette was great, and the rest of the staff was friendly as well. Many of the linen and chair upgrades were not worth the money so we had to stay minimal with those...but everything else was fantastic. I loved working with such a wonderful place and my wedding looked exactly like I wanted it to. And for a teacher like myself, there's nothing sweeter than having the schoolbell ring as you and your husband make your grand exit :) -

They really worked with us to find the right options that fit our taste and budget. They also allowed us to add some of our own special touches which was really nice since my mom is an event planner and we wanted to do some special things for my wedding (like setting up our own chocolate fountain).
Just be very careful to read EVERYTHING in the contract. For example, since it is an outdoor venue, we had to turn off the music by 10pm, which was pretty early for us and we didn't realize till after signing the contract that this was the rule. -

Amazing! Simply amazing!
It is a little pricey of a venue but definitely worth it. We paid for 150 guests. The food was amazing. They have little events leading up to your date where you get to meet other couples, drink, eat Hors d’oeuvres, play games, listen to a great DJ, and get some ideas for your wedding. Everybody is very professional. Account for the cost of security, tips, vendor meals, and anything extra you would like to rent from them. The liquor license costs quite a bit as well and you have to provide the alcohol. Venue is gorgeous and your guests will appreciate it. I had so many people come up to my husband and I claiming this was the best wedding and prettiest venue they’ve ever seen. I would suggest making sure you know your guest count for sure before you sign a contract because you can’t get a reduced rate for less guests once you sign it. Hannah was our coordinator and she was amazing.-

Great venue! From the moment we walked up for our tour we knew this was the venue for us. We are so excited to be married there in just under six months! -

The venue is beautiful and completely private. The staff is fantastic and they even provide you with a bridal assistant (which we didn't expect). On our wedding day, they completely went out of their way to make sure we didn't have to worry about anything other than enjoying our day. It was great!... perfect example: we hired a band to play during cocktail hour and they weren't answering our phone calls that day so we didn't know if they were going to show up or not. The staff at green gables told me not to worry, they would handle calling them and making sure there was some sort of backup in case the band didn't show... Ultimately, it all worked out great but it was nice to have their support and reassurance... Yes, you do have to stop the party at 10 (a major bummer) but it was worth it because the venue makes the day seem like a fantasy. There are also many "add-on's" but no real surprises, we decided against most of them and it still looked fantastic. -

Green Gables is a beautiful venue. Photos come out stunning because the lighting captures well and is gorgeous. the downfall is that the staff is not professional. They change their words from the first meeting, when you signed the contract. The entire planning process was frustrating for me personally since they kept changing their words (with what kind of decoration they have available, from cake options, even payment methods). Each staff I spoke with gave me different answers. They also don't really keep up with the contract so make sure you read the contract and know what services you are supposed to be getting. After a year of planning, the wedding was beautiful but it was super stressful! -

DO NOT USE THIS WEDDING VENUE!!!!
My husband & I recently got married at this wedding venue. Although it looks pretty, the problems that you will encounter are not worth it. There's so much to discuss, but I only have a limited amount of space...
1. Although this venue claims to be "all inclusive" (which initially attracted us to it) the only thing this includes is basic white napkins, plastic cups, and the venue itself. If you want to use any glassware at your wedding it will cost you $3/type of cup/pp.
2. Apparently there is a noise requirement at Green Gables that they do not disclose to you in your contracts. We only learned about this from the many djs we interviewed. They stand outside the dance floor w/ a decibel reader.
3. they give tours during your wedding & the grooms room, the school house, will be used for meetings w/ other couples.
4.they are never on time for their meetings with you (one meeting they were 3 hours late..)
5. watch your wedding cards, lots of ours disappeared
6. they require vendors to leave them positive reviews in order to be on their "preferred list"-- thats why they have lots of positive reviews!!! -
