  Great to work with

  Alicia was excellent. She's organized and was very responsive during the flurry of emails leading up to our day. Her experience was real asset, too: she knew the venue and caterer pretty well and was able to guide us through some of the trickier decisions. Alicia also gets points for managing something new to her, a traditional Persian ceremony, with a respectful curiosity we didn't always find in other wedding planners. We'd highly recommend Alicia.

  Deanna was beyond words! She made my day so wonderful and completely stress free! I would give her my right arm if I could! I would recommend her to any bride! She's a lifesaver and one of the nicest women I have ever met!

  Great Expectations highly exceeded all my expectations. With me living in one city, my planner living in another and the wedding being more than 600 miles away from us both, it was challenging at times to plan meetings. They made it work and met with me on my schedule, on the most undesirable days (Saturdays and Sundays).
  
  Deanna helped me through every step of the wedding planning process, bringing up things I would never think of and would have forgotten. She worked one-on-one with all of my vendors to book them and all I had to do was sign contracts. She even came to my final dress fitting to learn how to bustle my dress. She would make recommendations and tell me what she thought was best and I loved it all.
  
  The process was completely stress free for me. I didn't even lift a finger the morning of the wedding. I trusted everything was put into place and it turned out absolutely beautiful. I had a HUGE wedding party and she made sure everyone was in place and ready to go when it came time to start. Even our officiant said he had never seen a wedding that big start on time. That never would have happened without Deanna's guidance. I am so thankful for their hard work and dedication over the last year and will never be able to say thank you enough. They made the wedding of my dreams become a reality! <3

  Alicia was absolutely incredible to work with. She really helped me navigate through all of the details of our wedding! From ceremony planning, menu selection and budget, we had her from the beginning of our wedding day until almost all guests were gone. She coordinated every detail of the day and made sure all the vendors were on time and knew exactly what to do. Alicia also did all of the floral arrangements and my bouquet- gorgeous work. Could not have asked for a better outcome for our perfect day!

  Alicia helped me plan a wedding in Lexington from another city- she also did my flowers. She worked around my schedule to meet with me and was very responsive to emails and phone correspondence.   My daughter was married on November 1, 2014. We had six months to plan the wedding. I knew nothing about weddings today. My daughter found Alicia on the internet and we set up a meeting. I was hesitant at first deciding if we really needed a planner or not and considering the expense. Since I lived in Ashland, KY and the wedding was going to be in Lexington I decided to take the plunge. I could not be happier. Alicia did the planning and the flowers. Every meeting we had with her was so nice. She was very professional, knowledgable, and has the greatest personality. We felt like girlfriends were getting together each time to discuss the wedding. She knew the venue we chose for the reception very well, she knew the church we chose for the ceremony very well, she knew the hotel to pick, the transportation to pick, the videographer, the cake, etc. She made the wedding so completely stress free. The week of the wedding was the best. We were relaxed and enjoyed all the family and friends that were in town. She took care of everything, from setting things up to taking everything down and getting it back to you. She was there while the girls got ready, there at the church, there at the reception. I don't know what I would have done without her. She not only was the planner and did a fabulous job at that she was also our florist. When I saw my daughter's bridal bouquet I wanted to cry. It was exactly what I had been picturing. All of the bouquets were beautiful. The reception was just stunning. It far surpassed by expections. The tables, linens, center pieces, guest registration table, everything was exceptional. Alicia was the BEST !

  I worked with Deanna for my wedding and I couldn't be happier with how it turned out! She would ask me what MY vision was instead of telling me what I should do. She made all my ideas feel important. She was so quick to respond to all my emails and calls and never seemed bothered by me.   Alicia was absolutely amazing! Our wedding was exactly how we imagined and I will say maybe even better. She had great vendor recommendations and this made our wedding planning less stressful. Alicia was not only our wedding planner but also our Florist. I had a specific idea of how I wanted our flowers to look. Alicia went above and beyond with the flowers. It looked exactly how I wanted..the flowers were beautiful and the colors were brilliantly bright. Our wedding was filled with beautiful spring flowers. Most importantly, Alicia was so sweet and she made our special day unforgettable. I hope I never have to use her again as a wedding planner ; )since I hope to only be married once but I definitely recommend her for anyone who wants a stress free and fabulous wedding experience. She is the best!

  I was extremely lucky to have the opportunity to work with Deanna as my planner and as my florist for my September 7th wedding. Planning a large, outdoor tented wedding from 9 hours away is not an easy feat! I knew early in the process that I would need some help to enjoy the process, maximize my time, and enjoy the big day itself. Deanna is incredibly patient, professional, and creative. Every planning visit home to KY was made easy by Deanna, her timeline, and her spot on recommendations- she saved hours of time by narrowing down vendor choices that were within my budget. I also ordered my invitations through Deanna, and hired her as my florist. She was so patient with the many changes I made to the invitation, and blew me out of the water with the floral designs. She truly listened and understood my vision, and the flowers were even better than I imagined. She suggested many options for flow and timing of our ceremony and reception, worked with me to select a version I was most comfortable with, and executed the timing perfectly. On the day of the wedding, Deanna and her team were on top of everything. My husband's friends were even impressed, and one commented that they had never seen anyone as good at their job as Deanna. I am a very organized person and handle big events for work, but there were so many elements required at an outdoor event that I would not have considered. Deanna was 10 steps ahead of me the entire time, and made the final weeks before the wedding very peaceful. The most telling example from our year of planning- my venue went up for sale in the middle of the process, and Deanna went above and beyond to find great alternatives within hours of learning this news. Deanna is amazing, hire her immediately. It was a true pleasure to work with Great Expectations!

  Deanna did such an AMAZING job on our wedding flowers! We are so thankful we were able to find her for our wedding!! I never could have dreamed that our wedding flowers would be so gorgeous. She did an impeccable job of delivering the flowers and transferring them from the ceremony to reception! Deanna was extremely patient with me (you know how brides can be!) and so helpful in any decision I needed help with! Some of the florists we had met with before her did not even compare to her professionalism and friendliness. She made everything so easy and stress-free for me! I would HIGHLY recommend Deanna with Great Expectations, I just cannot thank her enough for everything she did for us! She went above and beyond, everything she did was absolutely perfect!! :D

  I hired Alicia as my wedding coordinator for the month before I got married. I should have hired her long before that, because I know that she could have saved me more money and headaches. As it was--even though I only worked with her for the last month--she was worth her weight in gold!! And she managed all of this with such a calm and reassuring demeanor that I miss her now that the wedding is over! Call her now! You'll thank me a thousand times between now and your wedding day.

She helped me create a timeline (OK, she did most of the work!), and whatever decisions I made, she made it her business to make sure it happened exactly the way I envisioned it (or better!). And she managed all of this with such a calm and reassuring demeanor that I miss her now that the wedding is over! Call her now! You'll thank me a thousand times between now and your wedding day.

  Deanna was great with the wedding itself. The day went off without a hitch and I couldn't have asked for a more perfect wedding. They were really amazing!Everyone thought my wedding was amazing, and it definitely wouldn't have been without Deanna's great planning skills.

  Alicia was my wedding planner and I absolutely do not know what I would have done without her. When we first met, I had already done quite a bit of the planning myself- I just thought I needed help putting it all together and handling the vendors. She was just wonderful! She had worked with most of my vendors before, which was great because she knew what to expect. We had several issues with one vendor in particular, and Alicia took care of everything so we wouldn't have to worry. She managed the ceremony beautifully, and we simply could not have been free to enjoy our reception without all her hard work. She was there for everything! As a bonus, she recommended Deanna as our florist. Our guests are still asking about our reception centerpieces Deanna made for us-- she is so talented and really made our reception beautiful with her talent with flowers. Alicia and Deanna are both so easy to work with and really went the extra mile to make sure everything was just as we wanted it to be and saw to it that we didn't have to stress about anything the weekend of our wedding.

  Alicia did an amazing job! I was not in any way stressed throughout the entire planning process. She recommended wonderful people for outside services like the cake, and even where I bought my dress. She is simply one of the best to work with.

  Alicia was wonderful to work with. She made planning my daughter's wedding so easy by having all the contacts we needed. Her floral arrangements were beautiful & just what we asked for.
