Hemingway Home Wedding 10-9-22 ♥️

The food was amazing!!! All the guests told us how much they liked the food. My biggest regret for the wedding day is not getting to eat enough of it! Everything flowed smoothly the evening of, the staff were very kind. Prior to the wedding the catering company responded to all my questions very quickly. This was an intimate wedding, about 18 people. I would definitely recommend!

10/10 Would Recommend

Incredible. We hired Great Events Catering for our 1/22/22 Wedding and they knocked it out of the park. We were planning our wedding from afar and Great Events was super east to work with. Melissa in particular was fabulous- she was responsive and accommodating. Ourselves and our guests were blown away by the food - many particularly raved about the mini chicken and waffles and bacon wrapped goat cheese stuffed dates. The entrees were generous in size, delicious and served hot. The desserts were the perfect sweet ending to the evening. Service was 10/10. Thank you Great events!

Delicious food and great staff!

The food was amazing!! They cooked on site so everything was fresh and delicious. From the apps to dinner, everyone was talking about how good the food was - and many guests even went up for seconds! The staff was great too. They were very friendly and had perfect timing (never wondered when the next app was coming out, or during dinner when the next person was going to be able to eat). And the two head staff were amazing! They made sure we (bride and groom) had food and drinks at all times during the dinner. They got our drinks, made our plates, and offered to help with any other requests. Highly recommend Great Events!

AMAZING Food and Service

Great Events Catering did such a great job with the food at our wedding! They were so easy to work with and were always so timely in answering our questions during the wedding planning process.
We went with a stations menu and everyone LOVED it. They are still talking about the appetizers and dinner and our wedding was 2 months ago! The servers were also amazing! They did a phenomenal job passing out the appetizers during cocktail hour and they even hand-delivered a meal to one of our guests who has trouble getting around on her own without anyone having to ask them to do so. Truly amazing. The servers also walked my husband and I through the stations and brought our meals to our sweetheart table to us. They were great checking in on all of our guests and making sure everyone was satisfied with their meals.
We also had 2 vegetarians attend our wedding and they were able to accommodate a different (and apparently amazing) vegetarian meal for those guests!
They also set up all of the tables, chairs, linens, and napkins for our wedding and it looked amazing! I would definitely recommend Great Events for a wedding!!

Best Wedding Food We’ve Ever Had

After the tasting, I thought about their food weekly. We were nervous that the quality of the food wouldn’t translate to buffet style and boy were we wrong! The food was DELICIOUS and the staff made sure we got our share. Our guests kept telling us how much they enjoyed the food. The short braised rib was to die for. On top of that, Julie and her team made this process a breeze and were very professional. Cannot recommend enough!

Best Wedding Food we've Ever Had

I cannot thing of enough good things to say about Great Events catering. We were married at Old Town Manor and had several events throughout the weekend and Great Events catered every single one. On Thursday evening we help a Welcome Reception with heavy hordeurves and Great Events offered drop catering. The food was DELICIOUS. The following night we had our plated rehearsal dinner and it was just as fabulous. All of the food was fresh, warm, and so stinkin good. Saturday night Great Events also provided our reception catering. People were coming up to us during and after the event to let us know how wonderful the food was. All food was prepared on-site that very same day, the staff was professional, and the entire company was incredible to work with. I have never had wedding food taste this good and I'm so glad we went with Great Events!

Great Events did an amazing job catering our wedding at Truman Little White House!

Great Events did a wonderful job catering our wedding at Truman Little White House! From my first phone call with Aleksandra to our fun and delicious tasting experience, and then throughout the entire process leading to our special day, it was simple, fun and met my budget expectations! This was a destination wedding, so I had to plan remotely with a few visits to Key West, but Aleksandra and then Julie were available to answer all questions and were so accommodating on any changes or adjustments to the menu! Then, on our wedding day, the food, staff, bartender and banquet captain were outstanding! Professional, accommodating and super nice! Both my fiancé and me did not want for a thing the entire evening. And our guests are still talking about the mashed potato bar!

Flavors that would rival some top DC restaurants

My. Chicken. Was. Very. Very. Good.

Whew. Got that out of the way.

Kind of. I am not done talking about that chicken. It was actually cooked through, very moist and still had a crispy skin. It was not your typical wedding chicken. Heck, this wasn’t your typical home cooked chicken. This was good.

Enough about my chicken.

Everybody asked us who was catering our wedding, and when we said Great Events, the response was always “Oh yeah. Oh hell yeah. That’s who you want to cater your wedding. And Aleks is amazing.” Every. Time.

And they did not disappoint.

We are huge foodies and live in a great town full of amazing restaurants. We, like many of our wedding guests, like to eat at the top restaurants, thus have quite high standards when it comes to food and service. And let's be honest, wedding food typically sucks. When was the last time you had a good cut of beef perfectly cooked or chicken that wasn’t dry at a wedding?

We knew that we had to find the best caterer on the island, and we did.

Here, there were no misses. From the appetizers to the fish, people ate everything. I’m talking clean plates. People were using the pop-overs (don’t get me started on these little fluffy pillows of heaven!!) to sop up the sauces. It was that good.

I could go on and on about the compliments our foodie friends gave us about how surprisingly great everything was, but really, you should just refer back to my chicken comments and let that sink in for a moment.

I also cannot say enough good things about the service. The staff was so friendly and beyond accommodating.

We had welcome champagne flutes for our guests as they arrived and the wait staff continuously came to the staging area for the bridal party to make sure we also had champagne. Our glasses were never empty and the bartender did an exceptional and seamless job of alternating my vodka/soda with lime and club soda with lime (per my request). *this is a great hack if you wish to appear as though you are drinking but want to make it to your own after party*

Now we are just trying to convince our friends to get married in Key West so we can eat more of that chicken...

DELICIOUS food and drink, amazing service!

Don't think twice - book Great Events for your wedding day! Wow! I cannot say enough amazing things about Great Events Catering. My husband and I are SO happy we choose them and we would choose them again 100 times over. We have traveled extensively all over the world and I honestly think our wedding meal was the best meal of our lives! We had really high expectations for our wedding food and drink and Great Events exceeded every expectation by a mile! Wedding food is notoriously "iffy", but not theirs - every single thing we ate was absolutely amazing, and every single guest told us it was the best food they had ever had at a wedding. I also appreciated how responsive Aleksandra was throughout the entire wedding planning process. Planning a destination wedding from afar can be stressful, but Aleksandra always got back to (all) my emails, made time for phone calls with me, etc. and worked with us to make our food and drinks everything we wanted for our wedding. We chose to have a buffet and chose the Old World Havana menu, with mojitos as our signature dessert, and everything was so delicious. We also appreciated how generous and flexible they were with us, even tweaking a dessert to our preferences and to match our theme. On the day of, Great Event's staff really stood out as exceptionally gracious, professional and thoughtful - not only did they tend to my husband and I like royalty (they made sure our plates and glasses were overflowing with every option at our table so we didn't have to miss any of the fun to wait on a buffet line), but they also were very conscientious with our guests. Some of their staff even made a plate up - without us even having to ask - for my husband's elderly grandfather so he wouldn't have to go up and get the food himself. Not only was the food exceptional, but we were truly touched by the level of professionalism in their service and execution on our wedding day. We are already talking about planning an anniversary trip back to Key West and trying to scheme up a way to get Great Events to cater it. Book them, you won't be sorry! Thanks so much, Great Events!

Had so many compliments!

Great events catering was amazing! I asked for a taco bar and they pretty much came up for the menu for the rest. Everything was delicious and was presented in a very pretty way. I can’t tell you how many compliments I received. They also walked my husband and I through the line first and put together a plate for us and had a glass of wine waiting for us at our table which was super helpful because we were busy walking around talking to people. We had welcome margaritas that were amazing and their drink pours were substantial. The servers were great and never forgot to come back to us to ask if we wanted anymore of the welcome drink or hors d’oeuvres while we were busy taking pictures during cocktail hour. I couldn’t recommend them enough!

Amazing Food & Helpful Planning

Great Events catered my wedding at Truman Little White House in Key West and I cannot recommend them enough - both the quality of food and the friendly and helpful team! From the beginning Aleks was absolutely fantastic to work with - she was incredibly patient with me through many changes and ideas about what I wanted, and she never made me feel it was inconvenient for her to revise a proposal while also providing really useful insight based on lots of experience. I ended up doing a station based meal with unassigned seating and I had rave reviews from friends and family on how good the food was - there was even a small competition on which app was better - the tacos or the arepas! The paella and the grill station were huge hits. I got to eat some of the steak myself and it was so tender and delicious - very fresh, especially compared to some other large catered events I have been to!

Amazing food and service!!

Great Events is amazing! My husband and I are big foodies so selecting our wedding caterer was a pretty big decision for us. We are so happy we found Great Events. Our guests are still raving about the the food at our wedding. Aleksandra was also really easy to work with. She quickly responded to every email and kept everything extremely organized. They made my day flawless!

From the first conversation I had with this company I knew they were going to be a great choice. I wanted a full taco bar for my wedding and they gave me so much more than I thought would even be possible. The food was completely outstanding. Every single guest told me it was the greatest food they've ever had at a wedding and some said it was some of the greatest food ever and asked if the caterer had a restaurant they could go to! I have sime dietary restrictions which they were sure to include in their planning process. They kept in touch with me over the entire year of planning, to ensure everything would be perfect. I gave them my budget and they worked with me completely, never trying to pressure me into additions that I couldn't afford. The tables were beautiful, the servers were on top of things, the bartender was extremely sincere....I don't jave a single complaint. Hands down, recommend these guys to anyone looking. I also went with their desserts instead of getting a wedding cake and everyone raved about how delicious and perfect these little treats were. Thank you Great Events for making my day memorable for many!!

AMAZING catering company.

My husband and I were never really too excited about the food for the wedding seeing how all the food we've ever had at a wedding has never been anything out of this world, just plain, bland food.

BUT THEN, we had our tasting with great events and we were BLOWN AWAY!
Fast forward to the wedding day: EVERYONE ate and most even served themselves to seconds. for the weeks that followed after the wedding most of our guests kept telling us how amazing the food at our wedding was. (That orzo mac and cheese is to die for! and don't even get me started on their open face quesadilla appetizers

Words can’t describe the perfection!

The people, the food, the setup.....perfection!! Everything was so tasty and looked great. Our appetizers were yummy!!!! The guacamole station was a big hit. The grill station was just what everyone wanted. There were lots of choices and all were great. Through the planning process everyone was so accommodating and prompt. I was planning from CT so it was all phone calls and emails. Everything was just perfect!

Best caterer in Key West for a reason

Great Events was on a list of recommended caterers for our venue. We were initially worried about their prices, but after interacting with the other caterers, we knew that Great Events was the best option. Aleksandra was highly responsive and worked within our budget to come up with the best package for us. She was very detail oriented, which I liked as it meant she cared about the little things so that we wouldn't have to. The food at our wedding was spectacular. We had passed appetizers, an open bar and a buffet. The staff were extremely professional, and even though it wasn't a plated dinner, they went around to each table filling water glasses and checking in on the bride and groom to see if they needed anything. At one point one of our guests broke a glass and the staff cleaned it up promptly and made sure no one got hurt. Overall the service was beyond amazing. They are more expensive than other Key West caterers, but with Great Events you definitely get what you pay for.

Exceptional food, service, and presentation

I cannot gloat enough on the amazing food Great Events provided. Aleksandra and her staff are top notch. It seemed every guest commended the hors d'oeuvres and entrees from our reception....even the days following the wedding. Most of our guests are newly married and/or have attended countless weddings. Even still, the common compliment was that this was "the best wedding food they have ever had!" Aleksandra is so easy to work with and there are so many menu options and variations to choose from. She also accommodated one guest for us that has several food allergies. We could not have been more pleased. Thank you Great Events! 10/10 recommend!

Spectacular

The food and service far exceeded our expectations. I was not stressed at all on the wedding day in part to our great vendors. I Did It My Way -- And They Made It Happen!

My vision for my wedding included a small, intimate dinner party where no one had to cook and didn't involve renting a traditional wedding hall (we rented a big house, and had a family-style plate passing dinner instead). They were so helpful in planning and balancing what I wanted to eat, with what most very picky eaters would also enjoy. I had a lot of dietary restrictions (no cow dairy, no seafood, no nuts, a vegetarian, and no spiciness) and everyone was full and happy. I know people say that no one remembers the food at your wedding, but all my guests were raving about it months later. No joke!
I'm also really thankful that Aleksandra, the coordinator, worked with me to sort out tables and chairs. I was caught inbetween using the dining tables that the house had, but not having enough chairs and she helped figure everything out and was incredibly patient with me. It really was a custom event.
I also have to praise the staff for the actual event. They were fancy restaurant level professional, very attentive to all the little details (setting the table with my decorations, filling glasses, taking plates), and practically invisible letting me enjoy dinner with friends and family. It was just the right blend of being taken care of and being low-key. Honestly, it was more perfect than I could have imagined.
PS The Cuban inspired rice is divine!

Fantastic food

We ordered several trays of finger food/ appetizers for our wedding reception on 11/24/18 at Amsterdam’s Curry Mansion. The food was perfect , delicious, and delivered promptly on time. Everyone loved the food. The company was very easy to deal with and had great customer service .

Best Wedding Caterer!

The entire experience working with Great Events was positive from the start. Aleksandra, the Event Sales Manager, is extremely professional, on top of things and helpful. She always answered my questions in a timely manner and worked with me to make sure our catering package was exactly what we wanted, giving us the most bang for our buck. We were blown away with her customer service. Fast forward to our wedding day, the food was perfection and the staff was extremely friendly. We received many compliments that our buffet was the best wedding food ever, especially the braised short ribs and guacamole station. I wish I could have went down to Key West for a tasting beforehand, not because I would have changed anything, but because I would have liked to savor the food before the craziness of our wedding day. Highly recommended!

Easy, intimate, destination wedding reception

Working with Aleksandra at Great Events Catering for our wedding reception was a breeze. We hosted a reception at our rental house and without laying eyes on the location or trying the food, Aleksandra was able to help us create a reception with beautiful tables, delicious good and professional, efficient service. They were able to provide us with a delicious vegan and gluten free menu. The staff at Great Events met with us the day before for final approval and planning and had everything ready for us when we returned from the wedding ceremony. Everyone at the reception commented on the quality and great taste of all the food. Thank you for taking the stress out of planning this destination wedding.

Great events catering did an awesome job with our wedding. They came very highly recommended (our wedding coordinator was very excited to hear we were working with them), and for good reason. The food was all fantastic, especially the braised short rib. The conch fritters were also out of this world. The staff was very responsive and even accommodated a few custom requests. We had key lime pies instead of a wedding cake, they were able to plate and serve the pies for us and it turned out great. They even let me keep a special bottle of whiskey behind the bar until it was served at the end of the night. All and all you couldn't ask for a better catering experience!

Everything from the passed appetizers to the seated meal to the late-night snacks was absolutely delicious. The servers were courteous and personable and the food was plentiful. My guests could not stop raving about the food. They said it was the best wedding food they have ever had and I couldn't agree more. Great events provided great catering! They were accommodating to our guests with special food needs. The food was excellent with great presentation. One of our vegan friends said it was the best vegan meal she had ever had at a wedding. They also provided our bar service and we added a mojito as a specialty drink. It was fabulous and everyone raved about it and the presentation of the drink.

Alex and Great Events Catering were incredible to work with!!! We had Great Events cater our welcome dinner Friday night in addition to our wedding night. The good was absolutely DELICIOUS! Every email was responded to promptly. When Hurricane Irma hit the Keys, they were in touch to put my mind at ease and assure my family and I that everything would still runs smoothly. The waitstaff who helped out at our wedding were so kind and fun. Every single guest from our wedding came up to us and told us how amazing the food at our wedding was. When it came to food for our wedding, that was the part my husband wanted to choose. He is a chef, so it really meant a lot to him that our menu was phenomenal. After venue searching at resorts, we became discouraged with their preset menus with typical wedding food. We then decided to go with a venue where we could hire a caterer. Once the venue manager found out my husband's occupation, she immediately referred us to Great Events, stating they were for "foodies." We live here locally, so we were able to visit them for a tasting. It was out of this world. Chef David prepared everything for us, as discussed each menu item with us. Before the tasting, we had gone over a menu of what we wanted with Aleksandra, who is in charge of their operations. She was seriously AMAZING. My husband is originally from Poland & we wanted to incorporate that into our wedding. She was able to get us traditional Polish vodkas, as well as beers. All the guys at the wedding loved having Zywiec to drink! A few of my husband's family flew in from Poland, & Alex went as far as to get us Polish servers! She was literally more than just the front of the catering. We met with her numerous times, she helped me with the set up of everything, suggestions, she was there every step of the way for us during the wedding planning process. She even stopped by at the wedding to check on us. And the final menu chosen for the wedding was insane. I'm at the age where a lot of my friends are getting married, as well as attending weddings & all of the guests commented on how exceptional the food was. My husband & I have both worked in restaurants for many years, and in the Keys, good service can be difficult to find. The food was delivered promptly, and the servers & bartenders were on point. They constantly checked on myself, as well as my husband & his family to keep our drinks full. Between the food, the exceptional service, & the kind treatment we received, it was truly memorable.

Great Expectations catered my rehearsal sunset cruise aboard the Jolly Rover and my wedding at the Audobon House. The food at both events was phenomenal, with something for everyone. The youngsters LOVED the french fry bar, the foodies loved the ceviche and guacamole stations, and everyone found something to love at the grill station. The food was fresh and perfectly prepared, and cooks and servers at both events were warm, gracious and fun. Finally, GE was super accommodating for my guests with food allergies, even walking them through the stations and helping them make "safe" selections. Great Expectations exceeded my expectations all the way around!!!

The team at Great Events is amazing. We can't thank Aleksandra, Jackie, the service staff and the talented chefs enough for making our wedding a dream come true! They were all so flexible and easy to work with and their convenient, inclusive packages made planning our wedding efficient, simple and stress-free! We opted for the Wedding Buffet package and our guests couldn't stop RAVING about the quality of the food and how good everything was. We received multiple comments from guests about how it was by far the BEST wedding food they've ever had - and we had a tough crowd of foodies to please so that says a lot! During the reception, one of the servers even went of their way without being asked, to personally walked my grandmother over to the buffet station and held her plate for her while she chose her dinner options - beyond thoughtful and considerate. They truly went above and beyond to make everyone feel special. Highly recommend!

It was so scary to plan a wedding in Key West Florida from California. My first conversations with Aleksandra and Jackie made me feel at ease. I wasn't able to taste the food so I received all kinds of pictures of their food and setup. The bride decided to have a taco/quesadilla bar for dinner and a guacamole bar for cocktail hour. How could that look elegant for a wedding is what Im thinking? Well they did it!!!! The displays were amazing. The food flavors were to die for. Everything Jackie and Aleksandra said they would do they did!! Service was amazing from start to finish. Their staff of servers also were professional but fun! Everyone LOVED the food and drink. Great prices too!!!! You cant go wrong with chosing Great Events. My only regret is they aren't here in California!!!

Ever go to a wedding and everything is gorgeous but when your meal comes its just typical "wedding food"? This is not the case for Great Events. Every guest raved about the food, even now 2 weeks later. If the chef could win a James Beard award I would nominate him. For Foodies out there this is your only choice. From cocktail hour to reception the food was as creative as a high end resturant. Aleksandra was efficient and professional. Quick to respond and helpful in every part of the process. The food was amazing. My guests talked about the food all night. Great Events could not have impressed us more at our wedding. From the tasting to the wedding, their entire staff was professional and incredibly helpful. They made this part of the wedding planning incredibly easy for us. The menu options were all great and the one we went with was perfect for our wedding of 100 guests. We're almost three weeks after our wedding and I had someone text me last night about the wedding and they of course brought up how good the food was. The entire night at the wedding, I never heard one complaint, and really everyone I spoke to just gushed about how great the food was and how beautiful the setting was. We had a roasted pig and entire fish as part of our buffet and the display set up for both was really impressive. Their staff was very helpful, polite, and professional. Whatever your event, you can't go wrong with Great Events.

To start with the most important part of this review: The food was absolutely fantastic. Everything tasted great, from the various grilled flatbreads, to the moist chicken best and marinated flank steak, to the sumptuous and rich desserts. There was more than enough food for everyone, and then some! The catering staff were professional and courteous: They made sure the bride and groom ate - which believe me, was important to us! We made some changes to our original menu choices, and to the number of desserts, and the Great Events team was accommodating and helpful through every decision and much of our indecision. Aleksandra should be proud of her food, her staff, and the amazing service.

Great Events was definitely the perfect choice of caterer for our wedding. We got married this past weekend in Key West at the Audubon House. We chose the grill station and had passed hors d'oeuvres. Aleksandra and Jackie were wonderful to work with and helped so much along the way with our timeline and our planning process. They went above and beyond any expectations. We cant thank Great Events enough for their catering of our wedding. Everyone raved about how delicious the food at the wedding was. We also had an open bar and they did an excellent job at keeping things flowing the entire night. Aleksandra was our main contact person and she was so sweet and accommodating to us since we are from Miami and this was a destination wedding for us. Chef David was also very nice and attentive to our requests and attended one of our walk through's to ensure that the venue was accommodating to the needs of the catering staff as well as my husband and I. Jackie ran our wedding reception the night of the wedding and like I mentioned earlier everything flowed smoothly. They also worked with us on the pricing to accommodate our financial needs and budget. Definitely cannot go wrong in choosing them as a caterer for your event. You will NOT be disappointed.

I'm not sure where to start... Hats off to Jackie and Aleks for helping me plan from over 1,000 miles away! The setup of everything was perfect due to limited but beautiful space. The stations setup with the passed Hor D'oeuvres and guacamole station was the way to go for us. My guests are still raving about how great the food tasted and how friendly the staff was. Chef David, Aleksandra and the rest of the Great Events staff are wonderful. They are extremely professional and accommodating. We did not have a wedding planner and Aleksandra was so patient with us and provided wonderful advice throughout planning our wedding. There was never a moment of concern or worry because Aleksandra was always on top of it. Chef David has a true gift with food. It was so difficult deciding what stations to have because everything tasted so good! Our wedding cocktail hour and reception were amazing! Aleksandra and Jackie were the BEST!!! I dealt mostly with Aleksandra who was extremely professional and returned all of my calls and emails promptly. She was so helpful in giving ideas and just always seemed to know exactly what we needed to do and/or where everything needed to go. Great Events provided exquisite catering options for our wedding at Old Town Manor. Not only did they accommodate our preferences, but adapted to a change on the night of our wedding for a guest that had an allergy that we weren't aware of at the time. The mahi mahi was fresh and seasoned to our liking and the filet was grilled perfectly. The tropical flavors weren't over the top, they were perfect for our guests and our tastes. The plates were generous and the staff was more than helpful, kind and realistic with our needs. food was spectacular, they were very accommodating when it came to changing plates and trying the food before you choose them. They allow you to do a tasting and if you go with them (which you will) the money goes towards your deposit.

The fish is great the short ribs are great the chicken is great. Everything they made was AMAZING

The bartenders were quick and there was never a line for the bar (which is a big pet peeve of mine) and they made sure my glass was always full and chilled :)

I could honestly go on forever about how fantastic Great Events Catering is. The food was AMAZING! If it was a restaurant, I would eat here daily. They did such an incredible job. OUTSTANDING - Aleks, Jackie, and everyone. Wow. I was originally referred to another caterer by my venue, but they were HORRIBLE in communicating with me, so I gave up and did my own search. Found Great Events and I am so thankful I did. Aleks answered my 100+ emails promptly, and when Jackie stepped in for my tasting, they went above and beyond. And the food... OMG. So good! My guests raved. My sister in law who has never eaten seafood in her life went back for seconds and thirds for the lobster quesadilla... At the reception, my drink was always being refilled (without being asked what I was drinking - they pay such attention to detail), and the service was excellent. They also provide tables, chairs, and linens, including for the welcome table & DJ, which were perfect. Between my coordinator and the caterers, they were really supreme professionals and I felt so happy that I did not have to worry about ONE SINGLE THING! I was truly just able to enjoy myself! Oh and at the tasting, two months before the wedding, I mentioned that the groom doesn't like onions and I don't like tomatoes, and... wedding day, no tomatoes on my salad and no onions on his. I recommend Great Events Catering to anyone who wants to have a beautiful event and virtually stress free. We had the rehearsal dinner on a Sunset Sail on the Fury Boats and with the challenges of having this event on the boat Great Events Catering did a fabulous job. The food was excellent and plentiful and the presentation was beautiful. As important as the food is, more importantly the staff was outstanding. They made sure all guests were served and even remembered all the little things like which guests didn't like fish or didn't eat meat. I couldn't have asked anything more. They are true professionals. Everyone raved about how good the food and service were.

Trying to coordinate this event from Michigan the staff was most helpful It was a little challenging for me to do this event over so many miles with no knowledge of the area. Their suggestions, patience and reassurances to my many questions and concerns made things so easy for me and I am grateful for their help.

The timing and coordination of everything so I could have our Polish tradition of bread salt and wine first was right on par with the staff ready and waiting to serve the food immediately.

It will be a day the bride and groom will always remember with beautiful memories. Thank you

We had the pleasure of working with Great Events for our wedding reception at Fort Zachary Taylor and could not have been more pleased with everything from the set-up to the truly amazing food!

I’ve had many events catered and attended many as well and really have never had food this good outside of a restaurant. Everyone in attendance commented on how great the food was.

Aleksandra and her team were really fantastic. The service was great. Their attention to detail was outstanding and truly appreciated.

I was initially hesitant about selecting Great Events, knowing that I would not have an opportunity for a tasting before our wedding and their prices were a little higher than our other option, but we made the right decision! They are worth every penny!

Great Events is nothing short or amazing. We used them for both our rehearsal dinner and reception. The rehearsal dinner was relaxed and casual while the reception was more classic in feel. The food on both nights was out of this world. All the guests are still talking about how it was the best wedding food they have ever had. Choosing food without tasting it was a shot in the dark but it was well worth it. I would use them again if I were ever to be in Key West and needed an event catered.

Great Events even took care of all of the rental needs. It was one stop shopping.

If you are getting married in Key West and you are in need of a caterer, you must get Great Events to cater your wedding! I wish there were more than 5 stars to give this company. They exceeded every expectation that I had hiring a caterer for my wedding. Alex, the sales manager, was amazing to work with, from helping me select a great menu to working with my budget, to giving me her opinion, her patience, responsiveness, and professionalism was simply amazing. She also helped with the linens, upgrading chairs, chargers and lunch for the girls the day of the wedding and I couldn't have asked for a better experience. If you are getting married in Key West and you want food that your guests will love and talk about after leaving the wedding, great custom service throughout the planning process, and just a truly nice person to deal with, book Great Events Catering. They really have a great business and will give you the wedding day you've dreamed about. Our wedding day (and wedding food) was amazing!

Great Events exceeded our expectations. Great Events catered both our Welcome Reception at the Audobon House and Wedding Reception at Southernmost Mansion … both for 130+ guests. For the Welcome Party we chose butler passed hors d’oeuvres, a guacamole station and a cheese, antipasto and crudités display. The presentation was absolutely beautiful and the food was superb.

We chose to do a continuous cocktail style reception at the Southernmost Mansion. Our stations included a Risotto Station, Grill Station with Lobster tails, Grilled Cheese and Soup Station, Salad Cup Station and by our request a Poutine Station (fries with cheese curds and gravy). There was an abundance of food and no one left hungry.

During the wedding reception numerous guests went out of their way to tell us how amazing the food was. Two weeks after the wedding, we are still receiving phone calls about the outstanding food Chef David served.

I’m an event planner and work with some of the best caterers in the NYC area, I was exceedingly impressed by the whole Great Events business operation, from the proposal to response time, to the tasting and execution of the event … they were nothing short of extraordinary. Their professionalism, elegance and culinary creations are one of a kind. If you are a foodie and like to think outside the box, Great Events is the caterer for you.

Great Events Catering was out of this world amazing! I am beyond thrilled that we chose them for our big day. Honestly, they were perfect!

Aleksandra was amazing to work with leading up to the day, AND the day of, and their staff went above and beyond what they needed to do in order for us (and our guests) to have an amazing time.

The food was fantastic and all of our guests echoed the same positive feedback! We can't say it enough, but our wedding day was everything we wanted and more because of Great Events Catering!

Aleksandra at Great Events was a joy to work with. Her advice was spot on. She is very professional and responded quickly to every request. The food was "the best catered food I've ever had" as stated by many of our guests. Everything about this company was top notch! I definitely recommend them.

So I know a lot of reviews say "my guests are still talking about how great the food was at my wedding"--but seriously, our guests are STILL talking about how great the food was at our wedding. Great Events is the best, hands down. Aleksandra was a dream to work with, and she went above and beyond for us so that we could have the flavors we wanted and still stay on a budget. She and the chef were flexible and creative. We always felt just well taken care of by Aleks throughout the planning process. I can't say enough good things about her, she is absolutely phenomenal. The whole staff is incredibly professional, and they were wonderful to all our guests at the wedding. The food was delicious (people particularly loved the plantain crusted mahi-mahi). Guests got multiple servings and the staff was very accommodating. We purchased our own alcohol and they served it -- the bar looked amazing and the bartenders were great. Aleksandra worked with our Day-of-Coordinator the month before the wedding, and we all did a walk-through the day before (which was so kind of them to do for us). Everything looked beautiful, everything tasted great, we couldn't be happier that we chose Great Events. Thank you for everything Aleks and everyone at Great Events!

My husband and I were thrilled with our choice of Great Events. We had one meeting prior to our fist meeting and another one after. We cancelled our last meeting after talking with Dave and Alex. My husband and I come from a wedding caterer and restaurant background, so the menu and caterer selection was the highest priority on our list. Dave's passion and creativity showed through from our first meeting, continued phone calls/emails and all the way to our last bite of leftovers the day after the wedding.
I unfortunately did not feel well during the wedding and missed the food, but the guests were raving about it. We did a guacamole station for hors d'oeuvres and the grill and mashed potato bar for dinner with a selection of mini desserts. They were kind enough to pack up some leftovers for me the next day. I am not a fan of a microwave, but that's all we had in the house we rented, and the food was even delicious the next day. We only wish he had a restaurant so we could enjoy his cooking and support him even more.
Also, since I was not feeling well, we changed cocktails and hors d'oeuvres to before the ceremony last minute and they were so easy to work with. A huge thank you to that because we know how last minute changes can effect the food. THANK YOU to Dave, Alex and your staff!

We chose Great Events Catering for our daughters' rehearsal, as well as, the dinner following her wedding. We visited their business in March and enjoyed a food tasting for the food we would have aboard the Fury Catamaran for the rehearsal. It was fabulous! We said we knew the food could not get any better, but then Aleksandra brought us a sample of the food for the reception dinner. The salads and the steak, chicken, and fish cooked on the Evo grill were great, but the Paella was fabulous. We have eaten Paella in Spain and many places in the US, and this was some of the BEST we've eaten. Our guests could not say enough positive remarks about the food. Also there was so much food! We were pleased to see the chef, David Furhman, making sure everything was cooked to perfection! I could not end this review without mentioning the Guacamole Station. It was a surprise for my daughter and her new husband and they LOVED it!

Great Events was Amazing! I was a little worried at first because of timing they were the only caterers available for our date but I was assured they would be exceptional and they blew us away! I worked primarily with Aleksandra who was great at responding promptly and was very professional. Great Events did a wonderful job with keeping our catering on budget and actually reworked a few things to ensure we had a quality menu. We chose their grill station which was fun because they had the chef on site grilling for guests. The food quality and presentation were spot on and several guests actually pulled me aside just to compliment me on the food itself. If your are looking for great presentation and service where the food also tastes absolutely amazing and fresh I would highly recommend Great Events Catering!

Chef David, Aleksandra and the entire Great Events team were so fantastic to work with for our wedding and Welcome Party. I really can't say enough about how professional everyone was during the events, how friendly the team was, how helpful and accomodating, and how absolutely DELICIOUS the food was for both Welcome Party and Reception. We chose to do passed appetizers for the welcome party and they were all delicious - we had 70 people and in working out the menu with Alexsandra, we had the right amount and it was just as we'd envisioned. As for the reception, we elected to go with a buffet because we wanted a more casual feel - but we did not have to sacrifice on quality at all! We had a wonderful tasting several months prior and everything Chef prepared was delicious. To be honest though - wedding buffet's are never great and the food is always fine but not memorable. That was not to be the case at our reception - the food at the reception was incredible! We had countless guests coming up to us during, immediately after and in the days after the reception telling us that the food was delicious and they couldn't believe that it was 'wedding food'. People LOVED the plantain-dusted mahi - multiple people told me that "they aren't fish eaters and they went back for seconds of the mahi." Honestly, if I could have another wedding, I'd go with Great Events WITHOUT A DOUBT. They were incredible - so easy to deal with, they carried out my vision perfectly, and the food was to die for. I really can't say enough about the entire team. PS - they also handled the open bar for the reception - again it was absolutely perfect. Nothing but praise for these folks!!

Dave Fuhrman is a fantastic chef! He provided a fabulous menu for the 100+ guests of our daughter's wedding. The food was not only delicious, but of course freshly prepared,abundant and as some commented "too pretty" to eat. The Great Events servers were professional and very personable. Great Events bar service was excellent, as well. Our guests were impressed by the presentation of mojitos to all attendees leaving the ceremony. They commented that " it was very Hemingway-ish" having a frosty mojito, in retro- glassware, upon entering the cocktail hour. Great Events made this event the best wedding ever!

Aleksandra was great at keeping up with communications, changing numbers and recommending dishes that all came out amazing. Fresh caught fish, grilled to order steaks... yum! The guests could not stop raving. I wanted to take home leftovers, but alas, we were off on our honeymoon!

Amazing job! I can't say enough great things about Aleksandra and Great Events. Always quick to answer questions, and we had a lot of questions. Worked out so many menu options, incredibly flexible, very helpful with linens and upgraded chairs. They really made sure things not only tasted great, but also looked great. The food was delicious. We had a buffet with a lot of options and we had people who ended up having 3 plates of food because it was so good! The service was also fantastic. Very helpful for grandparents and those who had difficulty getting up to get a plate or drinks. During dinner, the staff even brought drinks to our guests at their tables. Great Events exceeded our expectations! The passed appetizers were also a hit and many guests said they were served multiple times throughout the night - not just once or twice like you frequently see at weddings. Seafood display was also a hit! Some of the largest peel-and-eat- shrimp, we've ever had. So many guest compliments about the food. I even had guests ask me if I could ask Great Events for their recipes! They are fantastic and we are so glad we chose Great Events!!

“Best wedding food I have ever tasted.” “The smoked fish dip was amazing.” “The portion sizes were very generous and the food just kept coming.” “Where did you find those caterers?” “I gained 5lbs at your wedding.”
These are just a few of the comments that I am still hearing from my guests. Three days later and folks are still talking about the food!!! I am pretty sure every person has said it was the best wedding food they have ever been served. We wanted a tapas style menu so our guests could taste all of the island flavors. We went with burrata and peaches on crispy wonton, corn chowder w/ lobster, salad, grouper, beef chimmichuri, crème brulee, key lime pie and Nutella crepe cake! In addition to all of that, we had fish dip and fruit/cheeses during the cocktail hour. I am drooling as I write it. The portion sizes were huge. People kept asking why they were served two entrees!
In addition to amazing food, they were a real pleasure to work with. Aleksandra handled the event sales and she was very involved. She met with us at the venue two times before the wedding and also attended the rehearsal. She helped us in planning the flow of the evening. They provided wine and champagne service, hosted our bar and moved chairs from the ceremony to the dinner tables. As far as I could tell, the execution was flawless.
During our tasting, we enjoyed the food so much that we also hired them to cater a post-rehearsal party on Friday night. Again, the food was a hit and service was perfect!

We had been challenged all week with a looming Tropical Storm and our rehearsal dinner had been great disappointment with another vendor we had contracted with not providing enough food for our guests (we actually had to throw food on the grill ourselves to compensate). Thank goodness we had Great Events catering our reception! They helped set up our compound house and patio as an awesome 'indoor' venue with tables, cloths, and decor that we had originally planned to use outside around the pool area instead set around the living room and on the covered patios. The place looked fabulous, the food was wonderful and the server they provided was very professional. The reception was absolutely AWESOME! The Great Events team was great to work with and the party was a huge hit! The food was top of the line, the guests were bragging on it for days. We really appreciated all the coordination in pulling it all off - despite the weather challenges. I would recommend them to anyone!

Great Events Catering was amazing! Our guests couldn't stop talking about Chef David Fuhrman's food and the service staff! We also used their bar tending services and she was great with our large crowed! It rained on our reception but Great Events didn't miss a beat, they quickly moved the bar and set up an easy up tent to cover the bar area so guests could go from the big tent to the bar tent without getting wet! Aleksandra their event sales manager felt more like a wedding planner with how hands on she was with all of the details leading up to the wedding day and on the wedding day! I can't say enough good things about this company! I am so glad we picked them to be a part of our big day! I highly recommend them!!

I just got married on February 23rd 2013 and there is not better word for my wedding then FANTASTIC! Great Events Catering provided a level of service that went above and beyond the call of duty! Chef Dave, owner and executive Chef, really blew me out of the water with his food. From taste to presentation, this catering company is more than excellent! Alex, the sales manager, was so helpful throughtout the entire planning process and made my decisions easier with giving me her opinion and suggesting different items. My uncle is celiac and requres a Gluton free meal and this catering company went out of their way to make him feel comfortable with the food they prepared for him. Often at events when a special meal is ordered they recieve their meals last, but not Great Events, they made sure that my Uncle got served with his table and that ment so much to me. I cannot say enough good things about Great Events. They catered my rehearsal dinner and wedding day and being a local I will be using them for ANY special events we may have in the future, including my five siblings who will get married!

I absolutely love these people! Julie the owner is fantastic her husband is a great chef (food is to die for!!) Alexsandra which is theee!!! most fantastic person ever!. She helped me so much in getting everything organized. You can e-mail her and she will respond to you immediately my husband and i were in a very tight! TIGHT! budget and they helped us so much to keep us in our budget. Our reception was absolutely beautifull more then i even imagined. They staff was so great and kind really made me and my husband! vision come true. I HIGHLY RECOMMED THEM!!! . There is no one better.

Great Events is not your typical event catering company, they are purveyors of elegant occasions and fine dining experiences. Their inventive menu selection, food quality, service, attention to detail, etc. rivals that of any Michelin starred restaurant! The new owners are a husband (a chef) and wife (a wedding coordinator) team with decades of restaurant, catering and wedding planning experience that they put to great use to make our wedding absolutely wonderful. All of our guests raved about how delicious the food was and we're still craving the grilled corn arepa with short rib ropa vieja appetizer...it was incredible! We were lucky to have Great Events cater our wedding and anyone who hires them will be over the moon with the product and service they deliver!

We used Great Events for our Welcome Event crusie. The food was out of this world good. The pulled pork was so tender and had a great bbq sauce. We later found out they smoke the meat for about 20 hours no wonder it's so tender. The mac & cheese and potato salad weren't your run of the mill side dishes, they had a great flavor. Everyone couldn't stop talking about the honey butter for the rolls. The staff was so professional and polite, talking to the guests. We still talk about the food almost a month later.

Cindy and Great Events Catering were amazing!! There are not enough good things to say about Cindy and Great Events Catering. They went above and beyond for us and helped to make our wedding the great success that it was. Cindy was there throughout the planning process to answer any questions I might have and she thought of ideas and set up that I would have overlooked. They saved a plate of hor dourves for Keith and I to eat after pictures, and all of the food was just excellent. Weeks later all of our guests are still talking about Cindy and the Great Events staff...and the delicious food. I would recommend Cindy and Great Events to anyone planning on having a wedding in Key West. Thank you for all of your hard work to make our day perfect!

Absolutely delicious food, had such an amazing cocktail hour and reception. Only bummer was I only had two of my appetizers. There was supposed to be a plate set aside for bride and groom, but we did not get it. Conch fritters were to die for.

I cannot speak highly enough about Andrew and the Great Events team! From beginning to end they listened to our needs and didn't pressure us into spending more than we wanted (which I experienced while shopping around with other caterers). The food was delicious and presentation enhanced the reception decor. They also came to the rescue when a little rain threatened our outdoor ceremony and reception. They replaced the table linens with fresh dry linens (at no charge of course) and covered the chairs with plastic until the rain stopped. Also, my father requested something for the altar so my dress wouldn't soak up the puddles during the ceremony and they did not only that, but also lined the entire isle with a white runner and elegant seashells that seriously took my breath away! Above and beyond!

WOW! If you are looking for simplicity, organization, and ease, these are the people to go with. Everything from the set up, to the food, to the organization, it was perfect. The food was excellent, you know it's good when people go up for 4 servings :). Super kid friendly (we had about 10 kids at the wedding and they provided chicken fingers for them). We had a wedding planner as a guest at the reception and she said everything was perfect. Cindy, I can't thank you enough for everything that you did to make it a very very special day. What a great Event!!!! Everything was so PERFECT! Amazing food, a very pleasant and top notch team of servers. Nick and I would like to thank Cindy and her staff for an excellent job. The food was delicious, and Cindy was a delight, she thought of every detail that we would have otherwise forgot. Planning a destination wedding is not one of the easiest thing to do and Great events catering was very prompt with their phone calls and emails that we had no worries. If you have ANY event to plan and need a caterer honestly the way to go is GREAT EVENTS CATERING we can not thank them enough, and our guest were throughly impressed!!!

We just had our wedding at Truman White House. Great Events were able to serve 110 people some fabulous fresh food and make it look effortless working out of a remote kitchen. They covered all details and couldn't have been more professional and easy going at the same time. Their experience helped with providing opinions on what would work without being pushy. Delicious food and good value!

Great events had amazing food! Everyone raved about the mini lobster tacos and manchego bites! The mahi mahi and short rib were awesome! The packaging pricing was simple and we felt we got a lot for what we paid for! Aleksandra was so helpful throughout the entire process!

Great Events did a fantastic job catering our wedding and providing bar service. The staff they hired were professional, polite and well-trained, and they were very easy to work with. But enough about all that. Let's talk about where they really shine -- THE FOOD! The food prepared for our reception was beyond what I expected, and well-beyond anything I've ever had at a wedding. That's coming from the groom, too -- someone who barely gets to eat at these things. I considered not greeting my guests so I could go back for seconds. Seriously, they know how to put it all together for you. Working with Alecksandra was very easy and she had some great recommendations for us.

They were also very helpful with providing the right kind of liquor we wanted for our guests, which we felt was very important and they complied and understood. It was a true pleasure to work with them, and an even bigger pleasure to get to eat and drink with them. You will not be disappointed.

Great events did an AMAZING job with our wedding. The food is fantastic, the people are really professional, and everything was presented beautifully. Their wedding package is very affordable when compared to other catering companies in Key West and includes white linens, chairs, etc. Overall, I highly recommend them for anyone doing a Key West wedding.
