This caterer went out of their way to assist us in anyway we needed. We had special diets to cater to that they hand delivered to those guests. We had our dinning set up as a buffet style so this was an added step for the servers. We also had plenty of food as the serving sizes were extremely generous. If I ever need catering again in the Austin area I will 100% use this fantastic company again. -

The Gourmet Gals catered our wedding at the Terrace Club. The food, presentation and service were outstanding across the board. Everybody commented on this being the best chicken, beef and mashed potatoes that they had ever had at a catered event. They helped us build the menu and all of their recommendations and advice were perfect. Thank you for helping to make our big day so wonderful. -

Gourmet Gals did a wonderful job. The food was delicious and the team worked so well with us leading up to the wedding. We never worried once and had a great experience at the tasting. They offered multiple options for our meal and appetizers and also worked really well with our venue to coordinate it all seamlessly! -

Cassandra was great to work with. We brainstormed a heavy hors d'oeuvres menu, scoped out the space, and planned out the timings for the reception.
Everything went so smoothly! The guests were very impressed by the team. They did a little bit of everything for us - passed champagne, ran the bar, food (delicious!), cut and passed the cake, and packed up food for us to take back to the hotel after. -

Anyone who knows better will tell you that when all of the planning is said and done, no one will remember the place settings or centerpieces or linens. But they will remember if they had a good time, if you had enough alcohol (haha) and how good the food was. If you choose Gourmet Gals as your caterer for your big day, you will not be disappointed! I have been in the wedding industry as a coordinator for 15 years, and when it came time to plan my own wedding, it was really important to me to choose vendors that I had a personal relationship with and who were among the top 1% in the industry for what they do. I never even considered anyone else to cater our big day because of how phenomenal Gourmet Gals is at what they do. The menu planning is so easy and you even get to go in for a personal representative tasting to get a feel for what your guests will experience on the wedding day. The catering and presentation on the day of the wedding was top notch and my guests could not stop raving about how delicious everything was. I had so many people tell me that it was the best wedding food they had ever had (which I also hear every weekend from guests at my client's weddings)!! For all of the brides and grooms out there looking for a caterer who will not only provide you with the most amazing food, but will also make the entire process so easy and seamless, look no further than Gourmet Gals! We worked with Sherri and her team through our venue, the Terrace Club. Great decision! Sherri worked with us back and forth to create a perfect menu for us, what we called "Texas Hill Country" blending Texas favorites with Mexican and German influences. She created excellent alternatives for our guests with Celiac's and our vegetarian. She was up for anything we could throw at her, any idea, anything! Highly recommend! People are still talking to us about those quail diablos. -

Gourmet Gals was an absolute dream to work with! They had us answer some questions and they were able to come up with a spectacular menu based on our likes. About 6 months to the wedding, we went to do our sample menu tasting and were very pleased with the overall flavor. We had one appetizer to change and it definitely did not disappoint. In fact, it was my favorite appetizer! Our meal was one we truly enjoyed twice on our wedding night! They work very closely with our venue and we left with a to-go plate for my husband an I. I would have them design a menu for me any day, as I know it will not disappoint! -

Honestly, Sheri and her team knew exactly what to do for our wedding. We wanted something unique that would bring Mexican and Texan flavors in our menu and Gourmet Gals delivered. We had guests coming up to us all night sharing how amazing the food was. We made a couple of changes and the team was quick to email back and help us. We loved them so much! thank you :) -

Gourmet Gals Catering was the in-house caterer at our wedding venue and our food was AMAZING! I received SOOOOO many compliments about how delicious our food was. The process was incredibly easy. I had a great phone conversation with Sherri regarding likes and dislikes, allergies, absolute musts, absolute noes. Sherri then sent a suggested menu with a few different options in it. We met in the storefront for a tasting and were absolutely in love with everything we tasted. The items she suggested made us feel as if she had known both my now-husband and me for years. She was able to pinpoint exactly the types of foods that we would love and convey them in a menu that would appeal to everyone at our wedding. I would absolutely recommend Gourmet Gals for any of your catered event needs! -

Both me and my new husband enjoy cooking so food was a big deal to us. We wanted to make sure our guest had good food that was filling and had great flavor. No one wants boring wedding food. Well, by far our food was not boring! We had several compliments on how tasty everything was and that it was great compared to other weddings they had been to. That made it all worth while! Not to mention the service and pricing was great too! Cassandra made sure it was just how we wanted and worked well with my wedding coordinator too. -

Danita Sent on 09/29/2015Incredible... not enough of a review? They went above and beyond my expectations for a caterer. I figured they would bring food, serve it, and clean up. They did so much more. Every crazy desire I had, they fulfilled, and with style. They gave us SO much extra food afterwards that we didn’t need to (although we did) go grocery shopping for the honeymoon cabin. They packed everything we would need for a to go meal (including champagne flutes), knowing that we didn’t have a chance to sit and eat during the reception. The food was all incredible, and they were all so sweet. Great people, fabulous food, exceptional service, all around winning. -

They answered all of our questions promptly and worked with our budget and what we envisioned for our wedding day. We were sold after the first bite at the tasting! Everything we tried was so delicious! To this day, I still have wedding guests raving about the food. The Gourmet Gals staff was extremely professional on the wedding day, and we are so glad we chose Gourmet Gals for our wedding! I highly recommend working with Sherri, Cymbre, and their amazing team. We would highly recommend Gourmet Gals as a wedding caterer in the Austin area! When we were looking for a caterer initially, we liked the sample menus Gourmet Gals had on their website. We explained to them what we were looking for in our menu, and they put together an awesome menu for a proposal that perfectly fit what we wanted. There were cheddar biscuits, a grilled peach and pecan salad, beef tenderloin, chicken dijon, mashed potatoes, and green beans. We were able to do a tasting at their location in Austin, and the food was AMAZING. We brought along a couple of family members for the tasting and they loved the food too. Gourmet Gals asked for feedback on each item so that they could adjust based on our feedback.
They also worked with us to accommodate vegan and vegetarian guests, as well as a guest with a severe dairy allergy. They made sure that each guest had their dietary needs met, and completely separately prepared items where cross-contamination would be an issue. The vegan/vegetarian options included some of the above menu items as well as penne with tomato sauce, quinoa stuffed bell peppers, and rosemary roasted potatoes.
The day of our wedding, the Gourmet Gals crew were super professional. They had worked with info from a Pinterest board we had to make sure that the buffet table matched our theme, and they did a great job. The food was so good. Multiple guests commented on how good the food was. The beef tenderloin was so tender and juicy (even when we microwaved it the next day as leftovers). I personally am not a huge fan of red meat, but their beef tenderloin may have convinced me otherwise.
At the end of the night, they worked with our wedding coordinator to make sure two meals and some cake were in our getaway car. We were so glad that they thought of this and thoroughly enjoyed eating the leftovers once we got back home the next day while we discussed everything that happened at our wedding.
Overall, we’d highly recommend Gourmet Gals to any couple getting married in Austin. Their experience in the wedding industry shows through their delicious food and impeccable professionalism. -

We had Gourmet Gals as our caterer because it was the default caterer that I had to use for my wedding venue. Most of the communication was via email with Sherri, who is the owner, and she would often take at least a week or more to reply to a simple email. The food during the tasting was great but they were very small portions to barely get a sense of the quality of the food. On the day of the wedding, I felt like the quality of the food was not as great however - it was just okay. -

Juanita Sent on 10/10/2010I had to use Gourmet guys and gals because they were the official caterer for our venue. Unfortunately, we felt their food was pretty typical wedding food. Granted, we couldn't afford to upgrade our menu too much. We were able to include roasted veggies, chicken, a carving table, etc. But overall - felt the taste was mediocre. They were professional -though not sure how much of that was my venue vs them. The only thing that really bothered us was the inability to get a real tasting set up with them. We could do it - for a fee - or just come by and taste random options that they happened to be making that day. So not sure that is really all that helpful unless you find something new to add to your menu.
In the end, we had happy guests with full bellies - so I suppose that's what matters!
