Highly recommend this company! We hired Gourmet Events Hawaii for our destination wedding last minute (week of the wedding, eek!). They were so quick to respond to our inquiry, were very accommodating, and were so easy to work with. Within one day we were able to get pricing, a signed contract, and were all set up. The guys they sent were very nice, well dressed, and so helpful. -

Gourmet Events was absolutely fantastic to work with for planning our wedding! We initially started working with Xascha, but we were informed that her position within the company was shifting, so our new planner was Kayleigh. We were excited though that Xascha was still going to be apart of our special day, just in a different role. Kayleigh was so on top of every detail. It was so worth it to pay to work closely with her and the vendors. She recommended all the vendors for us, and nearly every person she recommended we loved instantly. Gourmet set up our food tasting, which was also a fantastic experience. Once we decided on vendors, Kayleigh took care of everything from that point on. I was not worried for one second that something wouldn't go flawlessly on the wedding day. The day of the wedding, the staff were beyond exceptional. It started to rain a bit when my dad was giving his speech, and I kid you not, one of the GEH staff members (whom I'm blanking on the name right now!!!) stood with an umbrella over my dad's head while she got soaked so he could give his speech. It was the best customer service experience I've ever had in my life. The other staff members used towels to dry the dance floor quickly once the rain stopped. I highly recommend using GEH to anyone getting married here in Hawaii. I'm local to the island- but I'm sure the experience would be just as great if you don't live here! Thanks GEH! -

Our wedding day was absolutely stress free and beautiful thanks to our wonderful event coordinator, Kayleigh, from Gourment Events Hawaii. I was a bride from California who was planning a destination wedding in Hawaii and having Gourmet Events Hawaii was a huge help! A couple weeks before the wedding our coordinator contacted all of our vendors, made a detailed timeline, scheduled a rehearsal, and made sure we were all squared away for the big day. I had some DIY things I had prepared in addition to some aspects I had the florist and friends bringing in and it was no problem. Kayleigh was dedicated, organized, and very well prepared starting from looking at the big picture to the tiniest details of our special day. The equipment we rented from GEH was all set up and delivered in a timely matter and everything ran smoothly. We had an absolutely perfect wedding day and can honestly say that Kayleigh Fehsenfeld from Gourmet Events Hawaii played a very huge part in that!

I would like to express my deepest gratitude to Sateash Diehm at GEH for making our dream wedding come true. I would actually like to highly recommend Sateash Diehm who was ABSOLUTELY AMAZING! She coordinated everything for us from beginning to the absolutely very end and my guests and I could not have been happier with the turnout!!
I would like to mention that we only had THREE MONTHS to pull this wedding off and we had to start from scratch as we had our wedding at a private estate in a backyard. Sateash told us it would be no problem at all and made a layout plan, did measurements and made suggestions that we would have not even thought of!! She was able to understand my vision in a matter of a couple of hours and was able to order all of my rentals and was able to get me everything I asked for in a very timely manner! She was there for the entire planning, helped set-up of all tents and equipment and ensured that everything went extremely well. When I had a concern about something the day before, she jumped into action, got her hands dirty and ensured that she would fix the problem to exceed my expectations! She also was there on the day of my wedding, coordinating everything and making sure everyone was happy and having a great and it exceeded our expectations without a doubt.
I would recommend Sateash Diehm at GEH for any event. She made me feel like there was nothing to worry about because she handled it all which I really appreciated because I was unable to do a lot of planning because of my hectic work schedule. Thank you GEH for having Sateash on your team, she really is absolutely amazing and I would hire her again in a heartbeat! -

Excellent service, I would recommend them to any other couples planning an event in Hawaii. We contracted several vendors for our wedding and without a doubt Gourmet Weddings and Events Hawaii were the one's who turned out the best -- even making up for some areas where other vendor's were unprepared. They were punctual, they came prepared, they were friendly, and they were customer oriented. -

The caterer for our wedding contracted with GEH to provide the servers and bartenders. All I can say about the GEH staff is AMAZING!!!! They were attentive, extremely kind, and definitely surprised us all with the amazing service; every single GEH staff person went above and beyond from beginning (welcome table and cocktail hour) to end (cleanup). There are so many examples of how great GEH was and to detail them would make this review too long (like having one server teach my husband's non-dancing family how to fold napkin cranes)!!! I would definitely recommend and use GEH again. They will not disappoint. -

I had worked with Gourmet Events Hawaii since Spring 2013 (married April 2014), although I had two different coordinators (I believe one left the company), they were able to give me the PERFECT wedding. Let me emphasize the PERFECT :)

Kayla from Gourmet Events Hawaii went above and beyond her duties to give me the best wedding day. We worked side by side for well over 7 months (I'm very picky and always change my mind), she always had an upbeat attitude and answered all of my questions.
The day of the wedding she was at my venue at 9 am and didn't leave until all of the vendors had left (11 pm). She kept everything on schedule, and worked with multiple vendors to ensure everything was setup properly, this included (MC, music, photobooth, officiant, rentals, food, drinks, waitresses, bartender, etc).
I highly recommend Gourmet Events Hawaii and especially Kayla Dunn. Oh, and the food was AMAZING! Thanks Chef Will! -

Thank you so much GEH. Our wedding celebrations was just perfect. Really exceeded our expectation. All the setting was beautiful, everybody was so professional, and food was really delicious. Our guests had amazing times. Since we were planning our wedding remotely from London, we had a lot of worries, but you guys made sure everything worked out so smoothly. We live in Australia, but took a very big risk by having a destination wedding in Hawaii. Gourmet Events Catering were excellent. I dealt mainly with Kayla and Kat over Skype and via email, conveying my daughter Danielle and now son-in-law Dan's wishes. All the staff at Gourmet Events were well groomed, friendly and extremely patient when dealing with the guests. The set up and pull down of the whole event was smoothly and efficiently done. This was not a very big event, only 32 guests, our closest family and friends, everyone had a great time. A big thank you to Kayla, who handled any little problems that occurred during the day so well and the changing timeline (which didnt exactly run to time) but ran efficiently anyway. I really appreciated your happy smile and the willingness to make us all happy.Lastly the food was delicious and the bar service was great. I would definitely recommend Gourmet Events

GEH did an amazing job of preparing and executing a perfect wedding celebration. All aspects of the wedding, from ceremony to entertainment were well beyond our expectations. Furthermore, all participants of the GEH team were very professional, courteous, and added to a memorable experience. First, to provide some detail into the success of our wedding, there was timely arrival of all vendors. Second, setup at the venue was done quickly and ahead of the originally planned schedule. Third, the recommended florist provided beautiful and lively floral arrangements that complimented the venue perfectly. Fourth, the recommended makeup/hairdressers did a great job of keeping the hair and makeup of the women in good condition (even in the humid Hawaiian air.) Fifth, the food was delicious; in fact one of our guests suggested that the Kalua pig was the best she has had. Sixth, the entertainment and photographers that GEH recommended went out of their way to make the evening special. For example, the photographers stayed much longer than the allotted time and the entertainers were very alert to play the first dance song when my wife and I decided to dance out of sequence. And lastly, the event coordinator did a fantastic job of managing and simplifying such a complex event. Overall, I would highly recommend GEH to plan any event due to their professional nature, ease of planning, and exception execution. We were extremely pleased. -

Gourment Events Hawaii was fantastic! Our wedding was better than expected, we could not have asked for a more memorable day! Everyone at GEH was very professional and prompt from day one. GEH was the only company that was willing to work within our budget. GEH went above and beyond...Sateash event went to check on the person who was to do my hair/make-up and went MIA for a few months. The flowers they provided were amazing! The food was delicious. We would definitely use GEH again and we would refer them to anyone wanting to plan a great event. Thank you to everyone at GEH! -

I came across GEH while doing some basic web research for caterers to hire for our wedding. I liked the layout of their website and description of their services, very professional.
I then set up a phone call with GEH to go over what me and my wife wanted and were looking for on our very special day. The phone call was very helpful! The staff of GEH listened to our ideas, offered their own suggestions, and came back with a menu that really reflected our personalities. That is what sold us on choosing them! We spoke to five different caterers but GEH felt the most in tune with what we were looking for. They just felt right from the get go =)
The months leading up to our big day GEH would regularly keep in contact with us so that we were all on the same page. They were so very helpful in making sure all the right questions were being asked and issues were being addressed so that our wedding day would be great! And great it was! The food was amazing, Chef Elmer did an awesome job! Everyone at the wedding really loved the food and service provided by GEH.
We couldn't have been more happy with GEH. They exceeded our expectations and really just made for a wonderful reception.
If you are looking for a caterer to a wedding or any other kind of party please give GEH a call, you definitely will not be disappointed.

From the first phonecall to the day-of, Gourmet Events Hawaii was great to work with. Very friendly and very willing to work with anything we wanted to do. Very professional and it was a pleasure dealing with them. If you are looking for a catering company that can do as much or as little as you need, and are happy to do it, I would definitely recommend them. -

As a first time bride I was unprepared on how to plan and make my wedding reception a memorable event. Thank goodness for Marina Jones, a true expert in her profession. She was patient, supportive, and walk the baby steps in this process. Once I seen the tents being set up the day before the wedding, I felt a sense of relief. The wedding reception was enjoyed by all as I received numerous comments from family and friends telling me this was by far the best wedding reception that they had attended. Gourmet Events did an awesome job with our wedding! It was absolutely stunning, the service was amazing and the food was delicious. The Chef, Sean Priester, did a phenomenal job with the food, everyone loved it and it was definitely some of the best soul food we've ever had! Our floral arrangements were absolutely breathtaking and I can't thank Jeff and Jessica enough for taking our idea and creating decor that far exceeded our expectations. The staff for our wedding day provided amazing service and took care of everything we needed promptly. The wedding was definitely a dream come true and I highly recommend Gourmet Events Hawaii! -

This was the one item in our planning we knew we HAD to get right. No one wants to go to a wedding that has poor tasting food with bad service. Gourmet Events was hands down the BEST catered food I have ever had! They not only customized a menu for the guests I had but they worked within my budget. They also provided the BEST service I have ever experienced at any event. As soon as our ceremony was over...they were right there with appetizers and drinks for all of our guests so we were free to go off to take pictures. Once pictures were over, they had the champagne flowing and dinner was served. Their staff was well dressed and totally professional...attentive to all my guests needs. Our guests are STILL raving about the amazing food! Marina Jones at GEH was my "go to " lady. With her vast knowledge of food and event planning...I was actually able to relax and enjoy my day. If I could give them TEN stars in stead of five..I absolutely would! Bravo and thank you GEH for an amazing wedding...we LOVE you! -

Wow!!! What an amazing event you all prepared for us! It was a wedding day dream-come-true and definitely exceeded our expectations. GEH and their amazing staff went above and beyond every step of the way. The service was amazing, the food was absolutely divine and Diana's organisation, creativity and dedication is like I have never seen before. We were totally taken care of from the very beginning and as all of our vendors confirmed, we were "in good hands" with Marina and Diana.
Our guests all said that it was the most beautiful wedding that they had ever attended, and we are certain it is a day that we will all never forget. We are so grateful for the memories that you helped create and will certainly be back to Hawaii as it will always and forever hold a special place in our hearts. -

Gourmet Events Hawaii more than exceeded expectations in every department and were a pleasure to work with. The food was a big hit at our wedding. Not only did they deliver a great menu within our budget, but were very accommodating with any changes we requested. Marina Jones, especially, made the months leading up to our nuptials less stressful as she was very prompt with suggestions/solutions to any questions or concerns we may have had. Not only did she serve as the point person for our catering, she also served as our "day-of" wedding coordinator. This made things much easier and smoother as her familiarity/relationship with our other vendors facilitated quick responses, something that is especially important when having a destination wedding. I would highly recommend using them for your event. You will not be disappointed. -

GEH was doing AWESOME job! They always gave us prompt reply and very professional advice. Also, on the day for the Wedding, staff worked very hard with management's observing. We had a reception at our house, however we did not need to much clean up even very next day.Food was wonderful! All our guest kept saying "Nice food!" during the party. -

Gourmet Event Hawaii did an amazing job with our wedding. We are so absolutely pleased that we were able to have them by our side throughout the entire planning and wedding day process. Kat made everything so much easier on me and my husband. She was there practically from the beginning of our planning and helped us with every little detail. She is very professional with everything she does. She is very flexible and willing to help you work with in your budget and still have a top notch wedding. She recommended an awesome DJ who did a spectacular job. She helped coordinate our food from Poke Stop and it was amazing. People are still raving about what a great time they had at our wedding and how tasty the food was. GEH is a great company and I highly recommend them to any couple planning their special day. -

All I can say is WOW! The food was awesome! Honestly, it was our best meal in Hawaii... and we ate out 2-3 times a day for 2 weeks!

Gourmet Events came highly recommended and exceeded all my expectations on the big day. I've heard nothing but great comments from all my guests about the service and the food. The decor was just right and made the night something beautiful and memorable!
GEH will let you customize anything you want to make your day reflect you. They are worth every penny and then some more (they made my day seem like a first class affair!). Sateash at GEH was so patient with me and answered all my questions. I would totally use them again for any event. -

I initially went for a tasting with Gourmet Events Hawaii on the recommendation of my venue coordinator when I was frustrated with the lack of responsiveness of my first catering choice. I had an outdoor wedding with a full plated service. This meant the price was higher than it would have been for a buffet, and Gourmet Events had to prepare the food in an outdoor tent. You would have never known! The food was absolutely delicious. I offered steak, chicken and a vegetarian entree, in addition to appetizers, salad and desert. All were prepared to perfection! Truly delicious. Gourmet Events also suggested I check for food allergies with my guests, which I never would have thought to do, and they easily accommodated these adjustments within the set menu. The staff on the day were very professional and classy. Everything went very smoothly. Gourmet Events also provided my bartender, and the guests said the cocktails were the best they'd ever had. You will get what you pay for with Gourmet Events Hawaii. -

Teaming up with Poke Stop, Gourmet Events Hawaii did a superb job at our wedding! our guests could not stop talking about the service that they got... from cleaning off the tables to filling the half empty glasses, they were on top of it! Someone had an eagle on my hubby and I because there was not a second that went by when he or I didn't have a drink in our hand! FABULOUS! The inital negotiation on menu, prices, budget and all the technical stuff was a little difficult at times, but that's why you hire a planner so he/she can do that for you. :) (Savoir Faire Hawaii - Event Planners hint hint)
Bottom line: When it came to wedding day, these guys were GREAT! We are so happy they were there! -

The Ceremony, flowers, decoration and attention to detail for both the wedding and the reception(s) were absolutely spectacular. The florist was creative and caring exhibiting much pride in his work and stunning results. Marina and her assistant were extraordinary. The catering was excellent and the portions were large and the small cake was perfect. I would highly recommend Gourmet Events Hawaii to you. -

Our coordinator Jessica was amazing. She made sure that everything went according to plan that day and all the days leading up to the wedding. She was in CONTROL, which put us at ease. Can't recommend her enough. -

GEH did a wonderful job executing the wedding day for us! Our guests kept raving about the professional waitstaff and the tasty food. During my planning phase, GEH was very helpful in working out the seating chart and rentals with me. I changed the rental items several times and they were very flexible and accommodating. They were very thorough and went over the details with me a few days before the wedding. If I were planning my wedding again, I would not hesitate to hire them! Kat and Chef Elmer at Pokestop make a great team - professional and easy to work with. A+ vendor! -

GEH provides everything you are looking for. Sateash was very patient and helpful with suggestions on planning my wedding.
The staff were very helpful and attentive on my wedding day, especially Sharyn (event manager GEH provides). They always made sure my husband and I had a drink and plates were filled with food. -

I had ups & downs with Gourmet Events Hawaii. My first event coordinator I had with GEH was excellent! She was professional & treated us like we were family. She understood our budget & worked with it, even threw in somethings at no charge, she had worked our venue before & had a beautiful layout planned, worked around our schedule & was available on weekends, communicated very well & responded quickly. She scheduled our tasting with the chef & it was amazing. We signed the contract with her & put down the 50% deposit. 3 months before my wedding I received an email that she was no longer with the company & that another person would take over my account. I understood that things happen, but it was like I starting all over again & I felt that the promises made should still be valid. The new person had a completely different personality, more of a business/sales person, & she was just handling the paperwork side, there would be another person for the day of. This is were I had most of my downs, lots of miscommunications, I had to edit the rentals & inform of the mistakes made, even though I paid the extra money for them the handle all rentals, she didn't try to work with our budget (I asked the rental company what was effective & yet budget friendly for lighting, which resulted in me saving $200, & I rented linens from ALSCO instead of the rental company & saved $400!). We had a walk thru of the venue with my "day of" event coordinator/staff manager. The "day of" person was more of planner & she regained my trust. She had lots of ideas that were beautiful & still effective for guest & staff while being economically friendly. For my big day, the coordinator really pulled through! She & the staff worked really hard throughout the night, made adjustments quickly when the rain changed the location of the ceremony, made sure changes went through my approval first & she personally made sure that we were taken care of throughout the day.
