Our wedding flowers were an absolute dream come true. From the very first meeting, Erin understood exactly what we wanted and somehow made it even better. Every arrangement was perfect! The colors, textures, and design were breathtaking, and we received endless compliments from our guests. You can really tell how much care, creativity, and passion they put into their work. I’ll never forget walking into our venue and seeing everything come together so beautifully. We’re so grateful and couldn’t recommend them more highly! -

Erin is amazing! Not only was she incredibly easy to work with and very responsive, her love for her work shine through in every detail. The florals were above and beyond anything I could have expected. All of the details were so beautifully put together and I started to cry when I saw my bouquet for the first time. I truly cannot recommend them enough, especially if you are a flower lover! -

Erin and team blew my expectations out of the water! We had multiple calls so they could truly capture my vision and plan for my wedding. On my wedding day, I had total confidence that Erin had all the details handled, but nothing could prepare me for how GORGEOUS my wedding bouquet was! Even my caterer came up to me during the reception and said "I've been to thousands of weddings, but these florals are by far the best I've ever seen". If I could give one piece of advice to newly engaged couples it would be to hire Hannah Hunt and her team at The Golden Thistle asap! Hannah made planning our dream wedding in under five months an absolute breeze. Hannah is always available to answer any question and her years of expertise and contacts in the business are invaluable. Every detail of my vision for florals was executed perfectly. Her team handled everything so all we had to do was show up and enjoy every minute. Everything from her mood board at the beginning of the planning process to the final day was seamless. Hannah’s attention to detail and her creativity truly make her the best of the best in the high country. I cannot recommend Hannah and her team enough! -

The best decision I made as a bride
Erin and her mom were jewels to work with. I had a small ceremony on New Year's and they made my dreams come true. Even during the planning process I had some setbacks with my health and had to scale back the florals. I was so appreciative of their understanding and willingness to work with me. It still turned out to be a beautiful vision of what I wanted on my big day. The vision board was like Erin looked right into my brain for my wedding. My bouquet, the corsages/boutinnieres, centerpieces, and memorial pieces were all exactly as I imagined and looked amazing on our big day. -

Working with Hannah and team was an absolute dream! It's been almost two months since my wedding and I am still getting compliments on the beautiful flowers. I was looking for unique floral arrangements with a lot of color but the only vision I had was a few inspiration images on Pinterest and I could not articulate exactly what I liked about each. I met with Hannah and she was able to look at my Pinterest board with me and find the themes between the images I had saved and dreamt up the most AMAZING vision. She put together a mood board and did a personal sketch of what she envisioned for the head table floral arrangement. The way she was able to interpret what I wanted from a few images and a "feeling" that I was looking for was beyond incredible. She was also very willing to work with my budget and advised me on the areas to spend more versus less to maximize the impact. I sincerely don't think you can find any better - I HIGHLY recommend Golden Thistle!!! -

A Dream Come True
Talent doesn’t even begin to describe Hannah and Erin at Golden Thistle Design. We met exactly one year before my wedding and they helped me form a vision from day one that was executed in the most incredibly beautiful way it honestly brings tears to my eyes thinking about it. (I actually did cry when I saw my bouquet!!) Flowers were super important for me and they went above and beyond to make our venues look stunning for both rehearsal and ceremony / reception. They are so lovely to work with, so creative, so efficient and so quick at set up and breakdown. Absolutely everything I wanted it to be. I was really relying on the florals for pretty much all of my color and decor. I asked only for an ombre of color ranging from purples to oranges and gave pretty free range otherwise with some general photos of the vibe I enjoyed. It was perfect and beautiful. Absolutely amazing. Highly recommend. -

If you are considering Hannah and Erin with Golden Thistle Design DO NOT HESITATE!! From the moment I met with Hannah about our design vision I had complete and total trust in her. She is so knowledgeable and creative! My ideas were all over the place and she was able to synthesize all of that into an absolutely beautiful design for our wedding with personal meaningful touches such as Chinese vases. Every detail including candles and baby’s breath pins for my hair was done with so much care. They far exceeded my expectations and I wholeheartedly recommend Golden Thistle Design! -

This review is long over due and I’ll just have to update with photos later! 100% recommend Hannah and her team! They did a phenomenal job and helped me throughout the whole process. She is not only a designer but a friend. She reassured me everything would be beautiful and to truly enjoy the day. Honestly she went above and beyond her role as our florist. My husband had overheard a phone conversation and told me after that I had a really great team. He was really surprised at how comforting and thoughtful Hannah was!
Her design and thought process is amazing! We had a conversation and she captured my vision beautifully. Florals were the most important to me and I knew without any doubt Hannah would do an amazing job. I cannot wait to update with photos but my god… The florals were drop dead gorgeous y’all. I am still on cloud nine with how everything turned out. She is a true artist!

How do I put this . . . Hannah is an artist among artists! She and her team are on par with the floral designers at the White House or Buckingham Palace! She captured our wedding vision better than anyone else could have come close! From the first time we spoke with her she was so attentive and knew exactly what we wanted despite our struggling to verbalize our vision. The flowers were a vision of beauty. Our guests were absolutely blown away and commented on how utterly stunning a job she had done. Walking in and seeing the final design was like walking into a dream of beauty. I don’t know where to start with how grateful and impressed I am with The Golden Thistle and the services they provided. My wedding planner (who is also using The Golden Thistle) connected me with Hannah and just knew she would be the perfect person to bring our vision to life. Hannah Hunt was amazing. She listened, took feedback, had fabulous communication, very professional and kind, organized, created an unbelievable castle/boho mood board, made the entire process so smooth and truly beautiful. It is everything we could have ever wanted. She brought in flowers that I had never seen before and created a color palate that was beyond what I could have dreamed of. She wanted our day to be everything we wanted it to be and adapted so well to everything we asked of her. Your florist is so crucial to your big day and I would 10/10 recommend. Hannah, thank you so much being a part of our day. You were wonderful and my husband and I are so lucky to have you create the perfect ceremony site, reception hall, and wedding cake décor. Where to begin….Thank you doesn’t quite seem to translate into the depth of our appreciation for the beautiful oasis Hannah and her amazing team was able to create at our daughter’s Overlook Barn wedding.
Like other reviewers, I could talk at length about how wonderful Hannah and her team are, their attention to detail, their artistry, upbeat calming demeanors, and their professionalism. All of which is completely accurate, but I also want people to know what an incredible human being Hannah is as well. Like all 2020 weddings, we were faced with the new reality that COVID had plummeted us into and made the very difficult decision to postpone the wedding 6 weeks out. Hannah was incredibly understanding and worked with us to find another date in 2021 when she would be available at no additional cost or loss of deposit. When you are talking thousands of dollars for an event, that is no small deed, not all of our vendors were that compassionate. Her demeanor is upbeat, her voice calming, you will feel like her friend after the first conversation, just a wonderful human being inside and out.
In terms of their work, Golden Thistle Design is the best of the best, just ask any of the other vendors or venues you may be looking into they will tell you the same and that is when you know you are in good hands. Not convinced? Just look at the photographs below they will convey all you need to know. Hannah and her team took my daughter’s vision of color and Pampas grass and turned it into a reality. They were able to repurpose the ceremony flowers and even some of the flowers from the rehearsal in the massive open reception area making it full of visual beauty no matter where you looked.
To be honest, I did not know how incredibly important the flowers would be in creating the emotion and love we wanted all our guest to experience until I was immersed in all the colors, floral variation, and design created on site by Golden Thistle. All our guests, the photographer, and most importantly my husband made various comments about the wedding being among the most beautiful they had seen.

Incredible in every way!
Erin and Hannah are not only exceptional at what they do but they are both amazing individuals. Working with Golden Thistle was one of my favorite parts about planning my wedding because they were able to take my cluttered visions and turn them into something absolutely beautiful! Erin and Hannah went above and beyond for me on my wedding day and all of their efforts were exemplified in the details of their work. The florals were nothing short of breathtaking and I owe that all to them. I cannot thank them enough for their calm and professional presence on the day of my wedding. They were the last two people I saw before my bridal entrance and I will be forever grateful for the feeling of peace they gave me right before that moment. Phenomenal
Hannah and Erin are absolutely wonderful people, including their team ,who helped made our wedding day a dream come true. Their attention to detail is phenomenal and we completely trusted every recommendation, suggestion, and advice provided from GTD. My wedding was postponed when my husband’s parents, including us, got Covid and we were absolutely devastated. On top of balancing graduate school and my husband being a first responder, Hannah worked with our complicated schedule and was able to help find a new date for the wedding. We definitely didn’t want to lose her and the team to help creat our special day. Words can’t express how grateful we are for Hannah and Erin, the heart, love and compassion they put into our wedding had me literal tears. Hannah and Erin went beyond our expectations and it’s a day Nick and I will never forget. The floral arrangements and details were absolutely breathtaking and the guest could not stop talking about how beautiful everything looked. Golden Thistle Design, specifically Erin Hunt, was the absolute best to work with. As a flustered bride trying to navigate all of the decisions throughout the planning process, I could not have dreamed up a better florist to work with. Erin was patient, kind, and passionate about helping us.
I attended a friend's wedding in June of 2018 and can't explain how many times I stated "this is the most beautiful wedding I've ever attended" and ever since have been hopeful that I'd have the chance to work with Golden Thistle on my special day.
Last minute my now husband and I opted to celebrate our wedding with a micro event. Erin brought my vision to life better than I could have ever imagined it. She pulled together my colors, florals, and intimate "glowy" vibe that I was aiming for. Given the intimate gathering, she focused on and recommended special details that enhanced the evening. From the large impact items to the details on the table, on the bar, and for our ceremony, my family and I were absolutely blown away.
I cannot recommend Golden Thistle enough and wish that I could get married all over again just to have the chance to work with them again :) -

When I first began planning our elopement, I honestly just thought I would use artificial bouquets and arrangements. We were travelling from out of town, and I had been the bridesmaid in weddings with nice artificial bouquets & just thought that was the route I would go, never even considering otherwise. My mom mentioned I should really research fresh flower vendors in the local area, as it can make such a difference. Once I found Hannah of Golden Thistle Design, I quickly realized I had to have her as my florist. Our hour long phone consultation flew by--I was immersed in telling her our story, and she helped verbalize our theme and explained how she could tell that story through our arrangements. The mood boards she sent soon after just showed me what a true artist she is, and how much she understood our vision. Communication over the next few months was easy, and she responded with more urgency than any of my other vendors if I ever had a question.
When the day of the wedding came, with so much going on, I as so relieved to have her there. She took the guidance of where we had simply placed our ceremony rug and knew just what to do. Renting the stands, candelabras, and lanterns from her was one of the best decisions I could have made, as I watched her and her daughter's expertise come to life through the window of my get-ready room. Their attention to detail and understanding of my wedding mood was unlike any other. The flowers were unbelievable--some having been flown in form Hawaii that very day, some from London. The photographer and videographer stood in awe staring at the altar arrangements and my bouquet. Every single person who has seen photos of them, it is the very first thing they comment on is how gorgeous they are. Honestly, it's the only vendor I didn't know I needed when I first began my journey, and the one that ended up making all the difference. I wish I had photos back from my altar setup to share, but the bouquet itself was equally stunning. I was able to successfully preserve it, and it now sits on my bedside table so I can marvel it forever. If you are debating fresh flowers, don't doubt it for a moment. And if you're debating who to use, this is your sign to look no further. Hannah is a true artist, whose passion for her craft is unbelievable, and now an unforgettable element of our day. -

Words cannot express how beyond amazing Hannah @ Golden Thistle is when bringing to life a vision. We were lucky enough to have her provide florals and decorations for our wedding that we had 10/10/2020 in West Jefferson, NC.
We started our journey together by meeting with Hannah in person for a few hours. In that meeting Hannah took detailed notes and began to sketch out a design to ensure we were aligned with what I had described what my vision was. I left that meeting so charged up, excited and relieved that she understood what I was looking for. As a follow up to our meeting, Hannah provide me with a 13 page PDF "mood board" that captured all that we agreed on. I was able to see the vases she planned to use as well as other props and images of each of the flowers and colors of each. From there we landed on our contract. This was by far one of the best details that Hannah offered. This practice left no room for any misunderstanding.
Words cannot express how beyond impressed I was with her work. Her team arrived early that day and worked hard to assemble everything. I received much feedback on how her floral arrangements were the most beautiful that anyone had ever seen! She put the LUX in her design. She flew in flowers from all over the world and that made such a difference.
If I can offer you any advise if you are looking for a florist, it would be to start with Golden Thistle and do so as early as possible to ensure their availability. I can assure you that once you meet Hannah and her team you will not want to spend anymore time on your search! Although I may live on the other side of the country from Hannah, I plan to stay connected and always request her assistance when I have any floral needs. Again, the level of service, design and execution is beyond anyones expectations! -

Hannah and her team are true professionals and one of the best vendors I worked with for my Sept. 2020 wedding. Due to issues with the florist we were originally planning to use, I reached out to her with just over a month to go before our wedding. She was responsive and did exactly what she said she would do, when she said she would do it – I can’t even explain how appreciated this was and in contrast to some of our other vendor experiences! In our initial call, she got to know my style and preferences and then provided a detailed mood board for review and comment. I didn’t know how much I loved flowers until I saw the work that she and her team did for our wedding – the moon-gate, bridal bouquet, and centerpieces were AMAZING and I got so many compliments. I wish I would have gotten to know her better – but the reason I didn’t is because everything related to the flowers went so smoothly that I did not need to check-in or follow-up, she had everything under control! I can’t recommend Hannah and her team enough! -

I could not be more pleased with our finished product! My husband and I eloped in August and being that my bouquet would be our only “decor”, I really wanted it to be special! Hannah and I spoke on the phone about my personal style, the style of my dress, and what I was looking for in a bouquet. She then sent a mood board to ensure that she was capturing a look that I loved. On the day of, Hannah personally delivered the bouquet/boutonnière. This was a life saver as it ended up pouring rain and we were shuffling location plans. Seeing the bouquet made everything sink in. I can’t describe how excited I was that the bouquet was exactly what I hoped for and more!! I will ALWAYS recommend Golden Thistle and can’t wait for an excuse to use her services again!

Having the unique pleasure of working for Golden Thistle and having them do my wedding I can confidently tell that you shouldn’t even consider any other florist. When I worked for this amazing company I quickly realized that these ladies love what they do and their passion for the floral world is so evident in everything they do. Every wedding or event is done with perfection, immense attention to detail, and a passion to be as environmentally conscious as possible (which is rare in the floral industry). Also, it was such an honor to be one of their brides and I want you to know that as a bride, you will be served well by these ladies and their talent will continue to blow you (plus all your friends and family) away! I got married during 2020 and I know it may sound like a clique but being a COVID bride isn’t easy, between the inevitable compromises and constant last-minute changes, planning my wedding was emotional. But Golden Thistle (Hannah + Erin) made the whole process as stressless as possible and helped me still have fun during the unprecedented times. Even before all of the chaos with COVID, Hannah + Erin met with me multiple times to come up with the perfect floral design. Plus they helped my family and I stay within our budget! Then when it was clear that COVID was going to affect our wedding, Golden Thistle was there to help. They were so considerate about the changes in guest count, gracious with payment deadlines, and was still able to get all the flowers I wanted before COVID (even getting flowers flown in from Holland!!) Then, on the day of my wedding, Hannah and Erin arrived early and transformed our venue (The Bradford: Raleigh, NC) into the European garden of my dreams! They also worked with masks on the hottest day of the year yet!! From my bouquet to our ceremony meadow arrangement to our head table, my friends and family couldn’t stop talking about how beautiful the flowers were the entire night. I am incredibly thankful for Hannah and Erin and I may be biased but I truly believe that these ladies are the best in business!!

As many brides in 2020 have experienced, my dream Charleston wedding was turned upside down from the pandemic. We decided to relocate back home to have a very intimate ceremony but with that change of plans that meant a change of vendors as well! I met Hannah through the Rising Tide Society many years ago and fell in love with her story! She is beyond talented and can create the most stunning floral arrangements! So, you better believe she was my first contact for floral design and without hesitation she was there to help! Hannah created the most stunning bouquets for me and my maid of honor. Went beyond my expectations and created the most picture perfect dreamy wedding!
I do not have enough positive things to say about my experience. From the very beginning of trying to plan the wedding, Hannah helped me identify what I wanted through a mood board. The mood board helped me to see exactly what was being discussed and try to imagine how I would want things to look. I still was blown away with the decorations on our wedding day! We had a wintery wedding so I'm sure she froze her butt off trying to create the perfect scene for us, but she was so happy and cheerful when speaking with me. When tensions were high, she helped me stay positive and our wedding was even more than I could have ever asked for. All the guests were raving about the decorations as well. I planned my entire wedding from out of state, and even the venue went sight unseen until a few weeks before the big day. I chose Golden Thistle based on previous reviews as well as my first phone conversation with Hannah--she is professional and incredibly kind in everything she says and does. She sent a detailed "mood board" based on our phone conversations, and it was captured my vision exactly! Hannah put my mind at ease leading up to our wedding. I was never at ANY point stressed or worried about the floral arrangements and greenery. In fact, I called Hannah only 10 days (!) before our wedding and asked for a big, last-minute addition to our planned greenery, and she didn't bat an eye. She absolutely went above and beyond for us, and we couldn't be more thankful for her and her team! Wedding Floral Dreams Come True
Choosing and hiring vendors for a destination wedding can often be difficult. You do not get to meet them or see their products and communicating can sometimes be difficult. However, working with Hannah made all of these fears go away. From the very beginning communication was prompt and professional. She really made an effort to get to know me and my vision for my wedding. The vision board I received was very detailed and gave wonderful examples of what I could expect. She was very open to recommendations and changes I wanted. Hannahs husband takes care of the financials and sent very kind reminder emails each time a payment was due. When my big day finally arrived, I had no fears about my flowers, even though I had never actually met Hannah in person. I was not just pleased with what I received, I was absolutely blown away. I wanted an elegant Christmas wedding and she really made my dreams come true. The flowers were big and beautiful, definitely of the highest quality and the greenery was fresh and bright, just want I had asked for. The day after my wedding, as I was leaving for my honeymoon, the one regret I had was that I didn't have more time to enjoy all of my beautiful flowers and arrangements. It wouldn’t have been possible without them
I found her on Instagram when i decided to have a wedding out of state. We met once and she was a dream. I communicated my idea and concept and let her take it however she thought it would be most dramatic and romantic. Her vision and choice in flowers was to die for, she really exceeded everything i imagined. She sent me a mood board which was perfect and then took care of the rest! My wedding day wouldn’t have been nearly as official or romantic without her absolutely stunning floral art. My bouquet was massive and had something called a protea in it, it was so gorgeous i thought it was fake! (It wasn’t, for the record) We took most of the flowers home and i wish they’d never die. Hannah really came through 110% for our wedding and her vision aligned with what i was going for and honestly i don’t think i would’ve felt nearly as bridal if it weren’t for her. I could write a novel on how perfect hannah helped make my day become everything i wanted but i should stop here. I just highly suggest them and if i could do it over again i wouldn’t have changed a single thing that she created. It was to die for. -

Wildly exceeded my expectations
I had a non-traditional, casual wedding this fall on a pretty tight budget. From the get-go, Hannah was completely aligned with my vision. With very little guidance, Hannah came up with a perfect concept. As I told many people throughout the planning process--flowers were never something I had strong feelings about, but based on Hannah's design I was so excited to see how they turned out. As excited as I was, I can't emphasize how blown away I was. The showpiece of Hannah's concept was a floral garland that wrapped around the tree our ceremony was in front of, complete with hanging glass lanterns. The varietals and colors of flowers used (it was ombre in fall colors!) and the mix of greenery to flowers was absolutely perfect. Not only was it insanely beautiful, but it was incredibly unique--no one there had seen anything like it. People raved about it all night and there was an actual line of guests wanting their pictures taken in front of it. The other table arrangements were also stunning. I was particularly thrilled with the vases Hannah used--they were completely unique, elegant, and elevated our rustic event. I highly highly highly recommend Hannah. Perfect Fairy Princess Wedding Flowers
I am so excited and honored to say that the most beautiful wedding I have ever been to was my own- and that is because of Golden Thistle Design.
These ladies know their stuff! You may find it odd that I did not go to them with a "Pinterest board" or any idea in my mind of what I wanted. When Hannah asked for my board, I said, "your instagram is my Pinterest." I have seen so much beauty (from their flowers, but also personalities and customer service) that I knew they were the best~ and there was no way that anything coming from their shop would be lackluster. And they continued to amaze me.
I gave them my colors, told them specific flowers I knew I liked, some I didn't , And then I gave them the freedom to create. Seriously, I told them, "do whatever you think is best," and they blew me away! (You may find this a bit silly to just say: do whatever you want, but I run two businesses, perform on the side, and somehow have a life in between- I did not have the time, nor the training, to design my own flowers, and I knew anything they did would be far superior to my mason jars XD~ which is why I hired The Best).
Hannah and Erin were always on time to any meeting, professional (yet friendly, and totally willing to help me decide), and just plain exceptional (okay, I know that is an oxymoron... but they are just that awesome). They kept me in the loop every step of the way (when flowers were ordered, when certain items came in from shipment, what time they planned on being at the venue, etc.). And because they already had great report with my location vendor, I didn't have to lift a finger~ they knew just what to do. I can honestly say picking the florist and anything that had to do with decorating the wedding was the least stressful (as in not stressful at all) part of wedding planning and execution. Erin even came upstairs and pinned flowers in my hair before the ceremony. (I also had them attend the wedding, because they are awesome party-goers- Erin fixed my hair halfway through, and then Hannah left a little surprise in the Bridal suite before the wedding was over).
Every detail of the wedding was so thoughtful, down to the rose petals on the floor. They got the essence of my fairy princess dreams and executed them into reality. They made my small budget look like a billion dollars, and even threw in a few special touches that I didn't know to ask for. I HIGHLY recommend the ladies at Golden Thistle~ they made everything so easy for me, and so beautiful (several of my guests told me this was the most beautiful wedding they had ever been to... my lil ol' mountain wedding... it just made me feel like a princess).
Okay, now i'm crying by the end of this review.... but I just feel so honored by them. My wedding day was the best day ever, and it was 99% because of them. (And, you know... I married the love of my life... but, I digress...). Thank you, Hannah, Erin, (and Danny too... and Graham for helping set up) for being such a big part of the best day of my life. You truly made it a dream come true.

Golden Thistle Design is the way to go when booking a florist! From the beginning, Hannah, and her team were fantastic to work with! I was having a hard time envisioning my dream wedding and I was worried about decor. By the end of our meeting, I was at ease and so excited for my wedding. Working with Hannah was hands down the best decision I made when planning my wedding. She was extremely professional and went above and beyond to make sure my wedding was everything I dreamed it would be. Hannah and her team at Golden Thistle made all of my wedding dreams come true! I met with Hannah after choosing a venue and date. I shared some pictures of colors and textures that I liked with her, but was more or less clueless as to flowers that were in season, would stand out and would withstand the day. Hannah worked with my budget to create the perfect design for our day. She was open, honest, and knowledgeable about what type of flowers would be in season and how to create bigger, more dramatic looks within our budget. On the day of the wedding, Hannah and her team were on time and enthusiastic and when I saw our florals for the first time, my breath was taken away. My bouquet surpassed all of my wildest dreams (seriously, I'm still looking at pictures of if!!!!) , she created multiple hairpieces to give my hair design team lots of options, she used berries, greenery, and in season flowers to create bigger more memorable floral designs. I cannot recommend Hannah and The Golden Thistle team enough!! -

When I began the wedding planning process, I wanted to ensure that I secured the best vendors but also stayed within our tight budget. After months of searching and speaking to numerous vendors, I found Hannah Hunt at Golden Thistle Design. To say she was a God send would be the understatement of the century.
I was one of those over involved and painstakingly detailed brides. Hannah took the time to answer all my questions and provide insight and suggestions as needed. She instantly was able to grasp my vision and execute flawlessly. The value of her work is unmatched. Not only did she provide beautiful floral details at reasonable prices but she also let us use her lanterns and gold chargers for our place settings for next to nothing compared to the rental fees from other vendors.
Additionally, I had some last minute changes in the number of bouquets I needed, for which she accommodated without hesitation. She and her team surprised us with some extra floral accents day of and also provided my family with a military discount for their service.
Most importantly, Hannah and her husband stepped in and acted as life long friends when some wedding stress occurred, offering their support and advice that was much needed. I cannot begin to speak highly enough of them as people, much less as a wonderful family and vendor team.
I am so honored that they were able to be a part of our special day and make the biggest impact in so many ways. If Hannah, Danny, and her team are available for your event (large or small), do not hesitate to book them. Run! Don't walk.

Hannah met with us to work on colors and flower choices. It was my desire to elevate the barn setting to a sort of rustic elegance. Her recommendation to use garland on the farm tables with rustic brass antlers and brass candlesticks and flameless candles was perfection. She gave me less expensive options to use loose lay and lanterns but I’m glad I stayed with the garland. I bought navy burlap runners for the tables and matching navy napkins inexpensively on the Internet. Her suggestion to use brass chargers was also a good one. It truly was wonderful and definitely magazine worthy. I spent more than 10-15% on the flowers but it was worth it to achieve what I wanted and to give a sense of elegance to the barn. I would use her again. She was wonderful. -

Wow.....I can not say enough wonderful things about Golden Thistle!!! Hannah, who is the owner and head designer at Golden thistle from the very beginning was amazing with all the above!! From the amazing communication, keeping constant contact, costumer service, designing a mood board with all the flowers and greenery she was thinking of using in our design for our wedding, setting up at our actual wedding etc! You name it she was on it!! I seriously only sent her a few ideas and just from those few pictures and speaking to me a few times she nailed the vision of our wedding! It was even better than i envisioned it looking! She worked with our budget and kept everything in a comfortable price range for us but still made our wedding look fabulous! I did my research and was in contact with lots of others before choosing Golden Thistle! I am so thankful I went with them! Hannah and her team exceeded our expectations by far!!! Golden Thistle is a 10/10!
From the very first correspondence I had with Hannah, I knew she would do a spectacular job. She cared about the vision I had for my wedding day, and with just a few inspiration pictures, she built the most perfect mood board with each individual flower for each arrangement I asked for. I wanted soft neutrals, with a romantic and Tuscan feel and she knocked it out of the park! She is such a warm and friendly person which is a great bonus, but her work is honestly just phenomenal. She's extremely knowledgeable, has an incredible eye for color and texture (a true artist!) and when I saw the arrangements for the first time I was honestly blown away. I never thought I'd feel so strongly about the flowers at my wedding since it was something I had a small budget for, but she worked absolute magic within that budget and it's one of my most favorite things from that entire day. Golden Thistle is hands-down the very best florist I came across and I am so glad I got to work with them! I'll cherish these pictures and my beautifully dried bouquet for my whole life! -

My daughter has relocated out-of-state, but both of us met with Hannah and explained the idea of a simple garden wedding and small reception, with colors of navy and burgundy. Hannah listened and developed stunning designs for the bridal bouquet and halo (also had them for bridal portraits), as well as bridesmaid bouquets, wrist corsages, boutonnieres, table centerpieces, and cake flowers. Our guests were very complimentary of all of Hannah's designs -- we had a very happy bride (and mother)!

I cannot say enough about how happy both I and my mother-in-law were with Hannah's gorgeous work! Hannah is incredibly kind, excited, and has a beautiful creative eye. My mother-in-law knows a lot about flowers (she is an amateur florist herself) and she immediately loved Hannah's vision for the rehearsal dinner. I was so incredibly pleased with how she turned my random ideas (I know nothing about flowers!) into truly stunning bouquets, centerpieces, statement pieces, and decorations at my ceremony and reception (as well as providing the gorgeous fresh flowers for my wedding cake). She also went above and beyond to decorate our honeymoon suite with beautiful petals and rosebuds that were such a meaningful and special surprise at the end of a very long day. Finally, my husband is in the military and Golden Thistle was the only company of all our vendors to offer a military discount (Hannah's husband was also military) which just made it an extra pleasure to work with her and her husband (I would have picked Golden Thistle anyway, though!). When I saw the flowers and greenery in person, it blew my expectations away. She took my vision and ran with it and the flowers were more spectacular than I could have dreamed. She incorporated the other items for our tables (votives, candlesticks, mixture of types of vases) so beautifully with the flowers, it all looked so stunning. I cannot tell you how many compliments I received after our wedding of "your flowers were so beautiful!". Hannah also did the flowers at the rehearsal dinner my in-laws hosted the night before and my MIL would certainly echo everything I am saying- that Hannah was a complete pleasure to work with and the results were gorgeous. She was very responsive to me when I emailed her initially, she sent me options for what I was looking for, and it ended with a gorgeous design I was so thrilled about! We had a very small wedding, and I only requested a bridal bouquet, a bridesmaid bouquet, and two groom/groomsmen boutonnieres. All the other quotes I had gotten were astronomical, and I was getting discouraged that I would not find a reasonable price for what I wanted. Hannah, though, was perfect! She worked with my budget, what I wanted, and I loved the result! I'd absolutely use her again and recommend her in the future.

My large wedding was unfortunately postponed due to COVID-19 but in just 2 weeks, Hannah helped me plan florals for a micro-cremony/elopement that my fiance and I decided to do on our original wedding date. Hannah was extremely responsive and timely when I reached out to her and is very knowledgable in her craft. I didn't really give her specifics because I knew a ton wasn't available right now but she was able to turn my very loose vision into reality and make it better than expected. Our flowers were gorgeous and I received so many compliments. I highly recommend Golden Thistle design for all your floral needs. -
