    Truly a life saver!

    Lauren went above in beyond in addressing issues that arose during our wedding. I can't speak highly enough to her dedication and tenacity. The venue gave us a bit of a hard time, and she advocated for us admirably. Thank you Lauren!

    Golden State Events

    Any issues that came up never hit our radar. My wife and I were told our only job was to have an incredible time and enjoy our family and friends on our big day. I would and have recommended Golden State Events for any event you consider important. Can’t go wrong.

    Amazing and a mind reader!

    Lauren was amazing at putting my thoughts into reality. I have had to push my wedding back three times already and she has been so flexible and easy to work with!

    Very poor communication, lack of professionalism, incompletion of services promised

    DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS WOMAN!

    My (now) husband and I hired Lauren to coordinate our wedding, which was set for 10/01/22. We had never met her, but were excited to be working with her. After submitting the final payment ($1100), Lauren informed me via email that she would not be coordinating our wedding due to personal reasons. She said that she would have her assistant fill in for her the day of. We were disappointed to receive this news, however, with 30 days until our wedding, we felt that we didn't have any other option. I was also comforted when she said that we would be working with her assistant. I assumed that they had worked together before and knew each other. We heard very little from Lauren after this, and she did hardly anything to help coordinate the day. Later, we learned from her "assistant" that she was hired from Indeed.com for a meager $20/hr. and that she had never actually met Lauren before. We essentially paid a hefty "middle man" fee. After the wedding, we submitted a complaint saying that we did not receive what was promised per her list of services that she claims to provide. She lists about 16 services that are included per contract, and we received approximately 3 of these. We did not receive a sit down meeting, a venue walk through, assistance with creation of a timeline, and many others. After submitting the complaint, Lauren was very difficult to get ahold of and even cancelled a scheduled phone call. She dismissed our complaints, saying that she felt it was a job well done. If the service we received is her definition of a job well done, KEEP YOUR MONEY and go elsewhere.

    Do not use this “Wedding Planner”

    After 2 weeks, she only spent 6 hours planning our wedding! She claims to have been a planner for 9 years and we saw no evidence of this in her work. She told us she only has 2 other weddings for 2022 and in 2 weeks, we only received 1 invoice from a rental company that had to be corrected 5 times mainly due to not paying attention and because she never asked what we needed for rentals. She never asked to visit our venue. How can you plan a wedding without seeing the venue? We were sent a baker, but we did not like their small selection of flavors. She also said she wasn’t getting responses from other vendors but mentioned nothing about what she was doing to find us more. After 2 weeks we inquired about her progress, and she showed us she only contacted 20 venders total and only 3 got back to her. That same day she sent the pricing from a caterer that wasn’t available on our day and didn’t cater a wedding as small as ours. The wedding is less than a year away, so we decided to start looking on our own and got multiple responses in less than 48 hours, how does that work? When we expressed our concerns, she quit! We tried to save some money using her, but you get what you paid for, discounted service. She is a waste of any couple’s precious time when planning their wedding!
