glen ellen farm isn't just a beautiful and well-cared for venue, it's the magic of mother nature intertwined with some of the kindest people around. debbie from glen ellen farm was so helpful throughout the entire wedding planning process, from giving us an extensive list of amazing vendors to work with to communicating to us each step of the way. it makes my heart so happy that we got to experience the best day of our life at one of the most stunning spots in maryland.Glen Ellen Farm's reply:

Debbie and her team at Glen Ellen Farm helped us give our daughter the wedding of her dreams. We couldn’t have asked for a better venue!
They were a delight to work with every step of the way. My daughter was planning the wedding from out of state and Debbie spent extra time with me/her doing walkthroughs and FaceTime meetings and was also always responsive to my many email questions.
I knew the location was perfect the moment I stepped foot on the grounds- even though it was winter and there was no tent, no flowers, etc.! But you could just feel it- and you could imagine it with the way Debbie walked you through it all and described it. And it turned out to be even better than we envisioned it.
So many of our guests told us that they’d never seen such a beautiful wedding location. The photos are absolutely stunning.
Having an outdoor wedding adds extra stress, for sure--- but Debbie was very prepared (with fans, with heaters, with the sides of the tent), even though she continued to reassure us that none of it would be needed... and she was right! The weather was perfect the entire day and we were able to make full use of the grounds.Glen Ellen Farm's reply:

We immediately fell in love with Glen Ellen Farm the moment we saw it. We viewed nine wedding venues in the area and we can say with all certainty that Glen Ellen is by far the most beautiful and unique. We couldn’t have imagined a better place to say “I do” and start our lives together as a married couple. We are grateful to Debbie for her coordination, time, and patience as she answered our questions and we gathered necessary documents to rent the venue. We got married in October 2024 and it was the perfect setting. Where else can you get married that has gorgeous gardens, a beach, a pond with a fountain, stunning barn ruins, a huge tent, a beautiful manor house, fields, trees, etc. – the list goes on. Our manor mom for the big day, Bev, was also great and helped make the day seamless. We had the absolute best day of our lives at Glen Ellen Farm for our wedding and wouldn’t trade it for anything. I cannot thank Debbie and the amazing crew at Glen Ellen Farm enough for the most perfect wedding day!! God truly blessed us with coming to Glen Ellen Farm and having our special day there. From the beginning, Debbie was responsive and loving with every single detail and she helped so much! All of the vendors she recommended for the venue were absolutely incredible, from the food to the DJ!! This venue was out of this world gorgeous even on a chilly November day! My husband and I are so happy we chose Glen Ellen as our wedding venue. Debbie and the manor moms are so friendly, professional, and helpful. The planning process leading up to the wedding day was smooth. The grounds of the venue are absolutely gorgeous! Most stunning venue ever
I️ knew this was my dream venue before even seeing it. Glen Ellen was the only place we toured and we both fell in love. Between Debbie’s love for her place , the pond, beach and garden how can you not be in love. Debbie was so easy to communicate with, typically within 24hrs of an email she would respond. Glen Ellen Farms is absolutely magical. It's like having your wedding set in a magical, fairy garden. The venue is stunning, from the elegant manor house to the idyllic pond and sand beach, to the flower garden and barn ruins, beautiful stone patio and covered reception. It's a one of a kind find.
Debbie was easy to work with and let us come walk through the venue several times between booking and the wedding. She tends the property and keeps it looking fresh and glowing throughout the entire year.
Debbie and team made sure the day ran smoothly and worked seamlessly with our coordinator and other vendors to make our day special. At point point it was sunny and 83 degrees, then overcast, and then slight sprinkles of rain, but throughout the entire day it didn't change a thing and guest were able to enjoy the full venue without any issues.
Despite some concerns for our walker and wheelchair bound guests things seemed to go well. Debbie and team were able to arrange for those guest to be dropped at the bottom of the hill and golf carted them from place to place as needed.
Overall the guest loved the venue and raved about how beautiful the place was. =)Glen Ellen Farm's reply:

The first time we saw Glen Ellen in person, we knew this would be the place we would get married. Keep in mind this was in the dead of winter, and we were still blown away by its beautiful grounds, charm, and character, knowing that during our September wedding with everything green and in bloom it would be even more stunning. You can absolutely tell that Debbie, the owner, puts her heart and soul into this venue and making it the best it can be to make her clients' wedding dreams come true. Debbie and all of her staff were extremely helpful and friendly throughout both the event and the planning process, offering helpful suggestions when we needed to figure out some logistics. Our guests would not stop telling us how beautiful this venue is and asking us how we found it. If you are looking for an outdoor, magical, garden party, lush trees and bushes, fairytale vibe, with far more personality and uniqueness than a boring ballroom, this is the place! The Perfect Wedding Venue
I got married 10/14/23 at Glen Ellen and It was definitely the wedding of my dreams. Debbie was there all day helping the day run smoothly. We picked Glen Ellen as our wedding venue because of its beauty. Debbie does an AMAZING job with the gardens and the grounds and thinks of every detail to make the property as beautiful as possible. Her home we used to get ready in looks like it came out of a magazine, and the photos we have are stunning. Debbie’s team was so professional and worked so well with our vendors. The most beautiful venue, for a beautiful day!
Glen Ellen Farms is one of the most picturesque places I have ever gotten to go, and this time it was to host my own special day! Debbie and her staff have the whole thing down! Our entire event from set up to tare down was a smooth machine, in a beautiful pond side escape. We are so lucky to have been able to host our friends and family on the farm, and only wish we had more special events for cause to go again! We will never forget our beautiful day with Glen Ellen. This is such a hidden gem - although becoming less hidden by the second as more people realize just how amazing this place is. It is THE most gorgeous spot. Debbie, the owner, is so genuine and cares so much about this amazing property that she has poured her heart into, and it really shows. It truly can't be beat for natural beauty and elegance. -

Glen Ellen was the one and only venue we toured- it is beautiful in photos and even more beautiful in person. We had already decided on a summer wedding and the blooming flowers all over the property solidified that decision. Debbie is quick to respond and was accommodating to everything we hoped to do, including bringing our dog for photos, having a cigar bar, and doing a sparkler exit. The day of was absolutely beautiful and it was easy for guests to move from the ceremony site to the cocktail hour site in the barn ruins and then the reception tent. The tent, lights, chandeliers, and chairs/tables are included in the price and are all BEAUTIFUL. The manor house is gorgeous as well- the only downfall is the house is locked before the ceremony so you can't return to the house after which took some planning. I highly recommend this venue, Debbie was wonderful to work with!!! -

Glen Ellen was an incredible experience that helped to make my daughters wedding memorable. As the brides Dad I receive so many compliments about all aspects of the wedding ( 129 guests) that is made me feel great that we selected Glen Ellen. The staff was excellent to work with and really focused on the details of our event. Debra knows her venue and what works and does not. This advantage and her expert advice based on best in class weddings was beyond valuable. If your are seeking a great site for an outdoor wedding Glen Ellen is your best option. We looked at many venues and this one stood out far above all others in the Frederick MD area. -

Hillary Sent on 06/25/2018There is only one word to describe Glen Ellen: breathtaking. We fell in love with the venue right away and booked on the spot. It has everything you need (bridal suite, cocktail hour patio, ceremony space, tented reception area) and for Maryland natives, we loved the country views and rustic charm it offered. It is rare to have a venue with chair and table options (that you actually love!) AND an amazing tent with string lights already attached. We didn't need to do much in terms of decor because GE really was a beauty all on its own. We cannot thank Debbie enough for her support through our planning process, taking the time to get us in touch with amazing vendors and answering all of our questions leading up to the big day!

We are so fortunate that our circumstances led us to this remarkable venue! The owner, Debbie, was very accommodating and eager to help us when we met with her about holding our wedding at her venue. The natural beauty of Glen Ellen Farm and all of the artistic touches truly prove Debbie’s dedication to her venue, and all of the effort that she has put into making Glen Ellen Farm the perfect wedding venue. From the very beginning Debbie was so welcoming and kind, and when she described her vision to us, we knew we would't want to have our wedding anywhere else! The property is truly breath taking, and Debbie has made it the top wedding venue in Frederick County (in my opinion)! The Most Beautiful Venue!
Our wedding at Glen Ellen Farm was everything we dreamed of and more. The grounds are absolutely breathtaking — every corner feels like it was designed for beautiful memories and perfect photos. It is truly such a unique and magical space!
Debbie, the owner, pours her heart into every detail. You can tell how much she cares about both the venue and each couple who gets married there. She went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect, and her warmth and attentiveness made the planning process so enjoyable. It’s rare to meet someone who treats your day with as much care as you do — and that’s exactly what Debbie does.
The staff was also incredible — professional, kind, and always one step ahead. They made sure the entire day flowed seamlessly so that we could relax and simply enjoy every moment.

We had the perfect day there. All of our guests kept asking us how we found the location. The grounds are gorgeous and there were so many places we were able to capture great photos at. I think this is changing, but it would have been very helpful if there were more suggested vendors provided other than just the catering service. All of the vendors I ended up choosing had worked at Glen Ellen Farm before, but I had to hunt through Instagram and The Knot to find them. It would have been a 5
It is a beautiful venue, they have carts to get your elderly and handicapped guest from the parking lot to their seats and to the tent but to get them to the handicapped bathrooms was ridiculous. You have to walk through the food prep area, the path is uneven and hard to walk on and the bathroom is a port a potty not what I expected for such a venue.

This venue is absolutely BEAUTIFUL. All of my guests raved about how perfect the scenery was. The manor mom, Irene, was phenomenal. She was so kind and helpful with anything we needed! Our day was quite rainy in the morning, but the staff did an amazing job rolling with the punches and I was still able to have the ceremony of my dreams outside instead of under the tent. They were wiping chairs until the very last minute! There was one situation where there was a disagreement between the owner of Glen Ellen and one of my vendors. My understanding is that the altercation was quite hostile. In my opinion, it could have been better handled on both sides. My suggestion is to hire vendors that have worked with Glen Ellen before in order to avoid similar situations. Overall, great venue!Glen Ellen Farm's reply:

To our future couples reading this - While we love meeting new people in the industry, we do have a recommended vendor list we can provide which will ensure you are working with vendors who are familiar with our venue and ones that we enjoy working with. In this specific event, the other vendor's (DJ) behavior towards us, and other vendors on site, was unacceptable and needed to be addressed. We believe it takes a village to run a beautiful event and expect everyone involved to be a team player.
