Terri and the team at Get Lit helped us elevate the design of our recent postponed wedding reception! Between the string lights hanging above our heads during dinner and the paper lanterns hung on the covered veranda, the atmosphere of our party ended up exactly as I had hoped for. I also highly recommend upwash lighting to help highlight the architecture of your venue - so glad we did this! Definitely recommend working with Get Lit for your next event! -

As a fellow wedding professional, I cannot say enough good things about Terri and the Get Lit Team. I was recently the planner for a wedding we worked together and we changed the floorplan at least 15 times. It was a large tent installation with intricate lighting. Every time we changed the floorplan, it meant changes to the lighting plan for the Get Lit team. Terri and the team never once complained and were onboard with all of our changes and wanting it to be the best event possible. -

Magical venue space!
Don't hesitate to book Get Lit for your wedding or reception - they truly elevated our venue space to something special! I worked closely with Terri, who was endlessly patient with me and my mother getting all the details worked out. Get Lit truly excels in the small details!
We had Get Lit install chandeliers, twinkle lights, a boxwood wall, and a flower ring over the head table. It made for a beautiful venue and an unbelievable dance floor. I can't recommend them enough!

Fantantic!
Get Lit added lighting that boosted so much to the overall atmosphere of this wedding, and the overall effect was of a starry night. The lighting really added to the overall event! Get Lit was extremely easy to work with and kept me informed at all times about when the lighting would be installed and turned on for out event. Highly recommend using Get Lit to heighten your wedding or other special event! -

We hired Get Lit for draping at our wedding at The Rickhouse, and they did an absolutely beautiful job putting together what we wanted. We also had their geometric chandeliers hanging above the ceremony aisle/dance floor and had their market lights out above the patio. Everything looked incredible, and working with Terri was so easy. She knew exactly what I wanted and helped us finalize what worked perfectly for our style and our budget. We would absolutely recommend Get Lit! -

Terri & David Watson were such a dream to work with!! One of my favorite vendors that I hired. My space would have been so boring without them! They were so responsive and professional throughout the whole process. I rented the draping, 3x pattern lighting and the murano chandelier and oh did all those pieces look amazing in The Rickhouse. I got so many compliments on how gorgeous the chandelier was! It was such a great final touch! The drapes were so thick and romantic. They looked so classy..unlike other companies that look thin and cheap..Thank you so much for making our day and wedding pictures exceptional!! -

While planning the details for our industrial style wedding, I knew I wanted a show stopper piece that would stop my guests in their tracks and make they say "WOW, now that is special" and I can't thank Get Lit Special Event Lighting for totally coming through for us! I had decided to incorporate Edison light bulbs into our decor and Get Lit had the perfect chandelier to complement our design. The staff was great to work with start to finish and kept up with every detail and change of plans that occurred throughout the planning process. I was blown away by how beautiful the chandelier was and it definitely everything I imagined and more. Thank so much! -

I loved the idea of having our reception and the Fearrington Barn, but my fiancé also wanted to make sure the "barn" element was downplayed. The place was transformed! Between Fearrington flowers and Get Lit, the look I had imaged of being in the middle of a wonderful garden at night was realized -- and more. I really wanted twinkle lights draped across the ceiling at the Doris Duke Center, which had not been done before; Get Lit immediately rose to the challenge enthusiastically and not only made it possible, but beautiful! They were also very accommodating and helped hang up a personal craft display before the wedding at my venue. I really felt like they were excited about my wedding and tried their best to make it awesome! I would highly recommend them to anyone, especially those with any creative ideas =)! -

I firmly believe Get Lit would have provided beautiful lighting for our wedding had it happened. Unfortunately, we had to cancel due to COVID, and I want to share my experience here as a warning to other couples worried about flexibility of vendors.
Get Lit was the least flexible out of all of our vendors. They refused to refund anything beyond their legal obligation. While other vendors were thoughtful in applying our deposits towards future events / friends' events (some even fully refunded deposits), Get Lit provided zero flexibility.
They agreed to refund the part they were legally obligated to return, but despite signing a cancellation form that required a refund within 7 days, we still haven't received anything, more than 5 weeks later.
Please be cautious when booking with them if you are at all worried about having to shift your event due to COVID (or anything else).
