Such yummy food
The food was amazing. The appetizers were delicious and everyone couldn't get enough of them. We ran behind schedule so the food was a bit cold but still so delicious. The chef and his staff were amazing to work with. They communicayed with us all the details until the day of. Price wise they were great. We spent about 70 per person for 3 different meats, vegetables, appetizers and a delicious beautiful cake. The food was amazing. The appetizers were delicious and everyone couldn't get enough of them. Amazing chef!
Georgia Ray's did such an amazing job catering our wedding. Chef Danyell is an incredibly talented and creative chef, and his food was so delicious. On top of that, he was so accomodating and a pleasure to work with. His prices are also so reasonable. We highly recommend!Georgia Ray's did such an amazing job catering our wedding. We highly recommend this catering company!
Food was delicious and guest could not stop talking about the quality of the food. Chef Danyell was flexible and willing to make our menu work. He researched and created a delicious Ecuadorian dish (which was the hit of our wedding!) that we were wanting to have. Overall wonderful to work with and we would highly recommend for your wedding day!Food was delicious and guest could not stop talking about the quality of the food. DELICIOUS wedding weekend food!
We chose Georgia Rays Kitchen to cater our wedding as well as two breakfasts, a rehearsal dinner, and snacks for our wedding weekend. We had decided that good food was our top priority for our weekend and we couldn't possibly be happier with our choice. The food was out of this world! Chef Danyell made us everything from carribbean jerk chicken to beef and broccoli stir fry, buttermilk chicken and waffles to white bean dip with truffle oil and the best salsa i've ever tasted! Chef was professional, fun, and easy to work with. He went above and beyond to personalize our experience and make sure we were thrilled with the food. His staff is fantastic as well. Nancy was kind and patient as we went over details via email or phone. The servers and bartenders were professional and friendly. Our guests raved about the food, stating it was the best they've had! Chef made our wedding cake and we got calls from guests the next day asking if we had any leftover they could have! When we got home from our wedding weekend, we decided that we shouldn't even go out to eat because nothing would compare to Chef Danyell's food! Thank you so so much for making our weekend perfect and SCRUMPTIOUS!We chose Georgia Rays Kitchen to cater our wedding as well as two breakfasts, a rehearsal dinner, and snacks for our wedding weekend. Our experience with Georgia Ray's Kitchen was excellent! At our wedding, we had the appetizers of Cheeseboard with some crackers, Grape Leaves, Avocado Hummus, Caramelized Onion Balsamic Pastries, Shrimp Dumplings, and Tandoori Chicken Skewers for the cocktail hour. For the reception dinner, we had Applewood Smoked BBQ Chicken, Provençale Baked Catfish w/lemon butter & parsley breadcrumbs, Israeli Cous-Cous w/grilled carrots, onions & portobello mushrooms
Grilled Corn & Peppers Salad and the dessert was Vanilla Layer Wedding Cake w/French Meringue Buttercream icing - lemon curd & vanilla mousse filling. Every bite we had at our wedding was unbelievably tasty! The only regret was not eating more of that delicious food that day! The staff were extremely nice and checked on us multiple times if we need anything. Chef Danyell even came to the stage and had a little fun with us! We highly recommend Georgia Ray's Kitchen because the food was excellent, the price was affordable and the service was great!

Georgia Ray's catered a bachelorette party that I threw and did an amazing job! They provided appetizers, dinner and dessert for 15 people and easily accommodated a gluten free diet as well as nut allergies. Chef Danyell and his staff were very easy to work with and I would highly recommend them for any function.Georgia Ray's catered a bachelorette party that I threw and did an amazing job! Amazing food, amazing people!
Georgia Ray's catered our wedding and it was one of the best meals I've ever had! Literally the greatest steak I have ever tasted! People say you don't eat at your wedding, we ATE at our wedding, and then some because you couldn't not eat Chef Danyell's amazing food! Chef Danyell is a genius in his field, he came up with the most unique dishes with extreme enthusiasm. He navigated through all the dietary restrictions with ease and solved problems before they got to us and accommodated to all our needs. He knows this business so well, can see the vision of what needs to be done and conquers it. His staff was so friendly and fun, they were so easy to work with. Our guests are still talking about how fantastic the food was at our wedding, raving that they have never had such great food at a wedding before.
As a bonus, every time we visited they would always feed us something delicious and sent us home with lunch for the next day! You would be cheating yourself if you didn't try his food. Ask to try to the swizzle sticks!
Thank you so much, Georgia Rays, for the best meal we could have ever asked for! We booked Georgia Ray's for our outdoor wedding event. We were sold on the complimentary tasting by Chef Danyell. We remember LOVING the whipped potatoes and brisket he had prepared for us. Kathleen seemed extremely organized and assured us that they were the right fit for our wedding caterer. Kathleen and Chef were extremely professional and organized at all times, however, I do wish the responsiveness to emails was faster. It would usually take between 4-6 business days for a response to emails.
One week leading up to the wedding, Chef Danyell graciously met with us at our venue and we really appreciated his effort to help us plan and feel comfortable on the day of. The night before the wedding, Chef met with us again at our venue to ensure that everything went smoothly with the rental company. Chef graciously got to work with one of his employees and helped us rearrange the tent after some miscommunication with the rental company's placement of the tables had occurred.
On the day of, we received many compliments from our friends and family on the quality of food. One of my favorite parts of the night was when Chef came out of the cook's tent to personally serve me my meal on the buffet line. Some room for improvement on the day of would be with the wait staff. We noticed that only one of the two kinds of kegs we had were served. The bartenders might have been misinformed and did not realize that there were two options for beer. Similarly, one of the waitresses at the hors d'oeuvres table told a guest that the pulled pork pockets were a mushroom dish. Of course, these are minor issues and overall I would strongly recommend Chef Danyell for your event. The food was absolutely divine and the service is worth the price! We booked Georgia Ray's for our outdoor wedding event. We were sold on the complimentary tasting by Chef Danyell. First off, I had a lovely wedding but I feel like I have to leave this review to warn other brides on what they may have to deal with. Overall, the food was good but the staff was not trained properly. I heard through some of my guests that they neglected to bring a course to them and even when asked, made it appear like it was the guest's fault somehow. To be fair, I did have a semi large wedding and it was their first time catering at this venue. Chef Danyell is a wonderful man but very disorganized. The communication was a bit challenging, they can take up to 3-4+ days to respond to emails. I went with them due to their value. They are much more affordable than other vendors that we met with. Overall, we would've been satisfied with the food and even the not-so-great service but we were very disappointed in receiving an erroneous bill (one 2 days before my wedding) and an overtime charge that we did not believe was justified). The erroneous bill was due to a wrong head count, a change from adding 1 guest became 10+. It's not something a bride, 2 days before her wedding wants to deal with. They were able to resolve it, 4 emails later and were apologetic. But after the wedding, apparently there was some miscommunication on the responsibilities for clean up/break down with the venue and we were ultimately asked to pay for the overtime charges. Our wedding ended 10min later than scheduled but we were charged over an hour in overtime. I feel that if they had handled it differently (I.e. alerted us on the miscommunication that had happened, we would've likely considered some compensation) but instead the emails quickly escalated to threats of charging interest and seeking legal action when the delay was caused by the fact that we did not agree with the charges and wanted to understand better. We still do not agree we should be held responsible for their misunderstanding with the venue but decided to settle. Though the food/value was decent, we would not recommend....First off, I had a lovely wedding but I feel like I have to leave this review to warn other brides on what they may have to deal with. This was a Formal Plated Wedding of 150 guests.
While caterers face all obstacles head on without disturbing the flow of the event, this one was run not by us but by a local event coordinator who was also hired as a Day of. liaison. She was to be the liaison between the Bride and us and was completely in charge of timing.
Our personnel was well informed, trained and seasoned.
This Bride made numerous changes both to the Menu and with the number of guests right up to one week prior to the event date - way after the allowable date. This is after 10 months of planning and over 50 e-mails - we accommodated the couple gladly. With each change a corrected Invoice was sent to the Bride in an attempt to keep them informed, which is the proper way to handle all changes in pricing.
All 150 guests were served dinner in 20 minutes however, some guests changed seats and there was a language barrier with many guests. Though everyone was served who wanted the dinner, some guests left for outside activities and did not return within the allowable time.
Requested delays occurred at the event for outside events such as a bonfire and fireworks, as well as extended hors d'oeurves service and delay in dinner service. All of these reflect directly upon the Day of coordinator and not the caterer. Though we appreciated her presence we found minimal guidance.
In this case we respected the Bride's vision of the day and accommodated her with great effort and pleasure. We take all critiques seriously as we become more proficient at our enterprise.
