Genetti Hotel and Conference center made sure our wedding was so beautiful. The pricing was very reasonable and we had a lot of food options! Elizabeth and the staff at Genetti's made our wedding amazing. Elizabeth allowed me to do almost everything I wanted to do, and worked with me to make sure it was so beautiful. Have your wedding here you won't regret it! -
Mateusz Sent on 06/11/2018Thank you to Elizabeth! After a day of taste testing different venues we arrived at Genetti Hotel. We were looking for a venue that had a hotel within the same building due to the fact that 90% of our guests were from out of town. I knew we had found what we had been looking for after our initial meeting with Elizabeth, not only was the food amazing & the venue extremely clean and beautiful, our ultimate deciding factor was Elizabeth herself. We no longer lived in the area so we were planning the wedding long distance from Chicago. One of the most important things to us was being able to work with someone at the venue who would be able to respond to our calls and emails whenever we had questions (believe me there was a million). Not only would Elizabeth return my email/calls as soon as possible, she never seemed annoyed with the number or times we called/ emailed. She was so nice and helpful. The venue was absolutely gorgeous with so many ballrooms to choose from, we had a hard time picking one out. The hotel staff were also very friendly and helpful. We couldn’t believe that housekeeping cleaning the entire suite the bridesmaids got ready in after they had left for the ceremony and by the time they came back in a hour to touch up hair and make up before the reception downstairs, the room was spotless. On the day of the wedding Elizabeth was a lifesaver, not only did she decorate the entire ballroom way above our expectations, she was also extremely helpful keeping us on track with our timeline of the night and making sure everything went smoothly. She went above and beyond accommodating our guest. One of our guests had just had her wisdom teeth removed the day prior, due to the recovery and pain she couldn’t eat much of the food. After I told Elizabeth about the situation, she went out of her way to get the guest soup and other soft foods which weren’t on our menu. Wow! Also our bar tender Mary was also amazing! Thank you to everyone at Genetti Hotel!!

Sarah Sent on 10/02/2016Genetti's Oyster wedding was amazing! Lindsay was fabulous helping us with every little detail to get it perfect, and she succeeded! The up-lighting was amazing and the room looked just like how I pictured the perfect wedding to be. The food was OUTSTANDING! I loved the vallet for our guests, butter service, suite for 2 nights for my husband and I, and having everything included so we only had to pay one price for food, drinks, linens, chairs, cake, flowers, and everything else that was included that is typically not. Guests still keep telling my husband and I that our wedding was one of the best wedding they have ever been too. I highly recommend an Oyster wedding for a beautiful, elegant wedding! -

Lindsay Sent on 09/27/2014We just had our Oyster wedding at Genettis and it was fabulous! It is not the same Genettis that used to host your high school prom! The up lighting, table setting, and decor was beautiful and the food was delicious; everyone raved about it for days after. However the best part for me as a bride was Lindsay and the staff's attention and service. Lindsay made me feel at ease right from our first meeting. She helped us build our perfect package and was always available when I needed her. I can honestly say that I was not stressed over the reception because I knew she was handling it.
Lindsay was incredibly helpful and then there was Michael! Thanks to Michael We never had an empty drink or empty plate. He also made sure to make our families feel special as well.
All in all, great great experience -

Lindsey helped take all the stress out of wedding planning (at least the reception part) She never told me or my husband "no" Whatever we asked no matter how bizarre or unique she made it happen. Oyster really is the best bang for your buck. They throw in soo many extras to make your day unique or special. The cocktail hour in the Oyster restaurant was just amazing. I'll share with you the Oyster Experience.. When you and your guests arrive you are greeted with a Marilyn Monroe martini in your hands. Cocktail hour is amazing in the Oyster Restaurant and around the pool. The Hors d'oeuvres were delicious and decorated with orchids. ! Then we proceed into the reception with is BREATHTAKING! When they announce you for the first time in public as bride and groom they shoot confetti sticks which creates such an awesome effect! EVERYONE COMPLIMENTED THE FOOD AND WAS soo impressed because they felt like they had their own private waiter/waitress at each table not just being served like a banquet. Our families shared with us that they were told they were VIP's and were treated that way. As the bride and groom we never had to go to the bar for a drink. Michael our personal waiter always made sure we had a drink in our hand, always checked on us, and made sure all our needs were meant. I can write a novel about how perfect the day went but you will just have to find out the rest for yourself when you book your Oyster wedding.. Lastly, after the wedding we had an after party in The martini lounge where they supplied pizza, nachos, and pretzels as late night snacks. When we went up to our suite they had chocolate covered strawberries, champagne, and a congratulations card. The next morning us and our guests got a complimentary breakfast in Oyster before we went our separate ways. They sent us home with soo much cake! The cake was the best ever and designed just the way I imagined! Thank you soo much Lindsay and the Oyster Team! -

Jessica Sent on 10/11/2017Our wedding last Saturday was perfect and the decorations and lighting, thanks to Ahmad, looked amazing. It was better than I could have hoped.
During the planning process, the wedding coordinator left Genetti's and we found out a few weeks later, but the new coordinator Elizabeth took over everything and got everything organized for us. Elizabeth dealt with sometimes weekly emails from me worried about little details that I found out I didn't need to ever worry about.
We had some minor glitches (leaking ceiling, being told our hotel room was double booked, and a lost tier on our cake), but these all got worked out, and they even ended up making us a special cake to bring home. I always hear horror stories about what goes wrong at weddings, but even the little inevitable things that happened to us were fixed and the staff went above and beyond to make sure we were happy and that everything was perfect.
I'd recommend Genetti's to anyone for their wedding! And definitely stay in the oyster suite and eat the provided fruit in the Jacuzzi at midnight. -

User2371840 Sent on 10/16/2015My husband and I had Genetti's cater our wedding in Pine Grove, PA. We worked with Patrick and he was very helpful when it came to planning out how to use the space at our venue. This was a new venue for them and that was never a problem. The day before and of the wedding Patrick was very helpful and made sure everything was perfect. He and his staff even helped set up and clean up items that were not made by his company (i.e. our dessert table). Everyone who attended our wedding raved about the food, specifically the cocktail hour appetizers. Many also commented about the friendly and polite staff. The only reason I gave this company a 4 instead of a 5 was because we had some bumps along the way. I met with Patrick multiple times and asked him for prices for tablecloths, food items, etc and waited a long time for a response every time. I would usually end up emailing Amy or Marcie in the office before I would get a response. I also set up a meeting with Patrick at my venue that he did not show up to. He and Amy felt badly about this and after that incident I only communicated with Amy via email until I met with Patrick at my venue a few weeks later. Amy is fabulous and answered all of my questions and requests in a timely manner. Patrick is an excellent caterer with tons of experiences, but is not great at getting back to you. I would recommend this caterer, but be sure to let Marcie or Amy know you would like to communicate through them. -

I spent a lot of money on my wedding and I expect to get what I paid for. Many things were discussed previous to my wedding and during my wedding many things were went back on DURING my wedding. Elizabeth was very unprofessional. She had a loud argument infront of all of my guests right after my ceremony. Which was very disrespectful. We never saw her after the argument. My bridesmaids were all very upset how they and myself and husband were treated by her . Many of my guests had many things to complain about her. I was already stressed because it was my wedding but I was even more stressed because a lot of last minute problems that could have been avoided the morning of. We reserved our wedding in the beginning of the year and they stated they booked everything since we were in advance. We showed up 2 days before the wedding to find out we had no room reservations. And we were thrown into a small room even though we had a large suite included in our contract. The other people we went through were amazing such as MIKE the man who should not have been helping me as much as he should have as that is not his responsibility . I would not have been as happy as I would have been without his help. And Dan was also very great he waited on me hand on foot. Those two men were the reason Id ever recommend this place to anyone. And honestly its not worth the stress or trouble.
