We had the best day of our lives this weekend and It was due in no small part to the wonderful staff at Garnet Hill Lodge. We live in Brooklyn, but visit the Adirondacks every fall and the second we saw the property we knew that it would be the perfect place to gather our loved ones from all over the country. Pictures do not do it justice! It really is the most cozy property perfect for people to gather.
From the very beginning Nicole was communicative and flexible, we really were able to customize their wedding package to fit our exact needs. They were very transparent about all of their pricing and we never had any extra charges creep up on us, which I really appreciated. In fact our final bill was actually slightly lower than the estimate we received!
They were flexible but offered a lot of helpful guidance up to the day of the wedding. We had planned for dancing in the pavilion but when the weather indicated it might be too cold Nicole calmly let us know and suggested a really wonderful alternative that was then executed flawlessly by the staff. They are true professionals.
One of the many reasons that I chose to have my wedding here was that it was the most all inclusive venue I had found. Not only do they have on site accommodations for up to 72 (we were able to fit 45 with several singles), but they have tables, chairs, beautiful linens, the pavilion as a rain plan. They even have on site shuttles to pick up guests in town, if you have planed a wedding you know this is huge! They also do all catering in house. We were so pleasantly surprised by all of their food, it really was delicious and everyone was kept full and happy all weekend. People would not stop talking about the mini bbq tarts we had for cocktail hour, and the bacon at breakfast!
Lastly, I just have to shout out the staff. They really were amazing, so attentive and kind. Nicole organized everyone and all of the vendors so we could just be fully present and enjoy the day. Lucy set out all of my decor perfectly, everything looked one hundred times better than I had envisioned. Joshua was the best best best, so funny and kind literally knew my drink and would send one out to the dance floor for me!
My only piece of wedding advice is to book Garnet Hill Lodge!Garnet Hill Lodge's reply:

Book Garnet Hill Lodge!
If you're looking for a cozy and rustic Adirondack Mountain wedding venue with great views, food, and staff then Garnet Hill Lodge is the place you need to book! Nicole, Lucy, and all the staff at Garnet Hill Lodge were great to work with and truly made our wedding day incredible! We had a small intimate Monday wedding in October with 44 guests total. From the very beginning the communication with Nicole was great. She made the wedding planning process easy and her expertise is unmatched! A big reason we picked Garnet Hill Lodge was for their pavilion structure that serves as the backup rain plan, and we did end up having the ceremony in the pavilion due to rain. The wedding ceremony was still perfect as you can see the trees and mountains in the background from the clear covered side panels in the pavilion. The food is amazing at Garnet Hill Lodge - so many of our guests came up to us to say how great the food was. The drinks were also great and their bartender Josh was very nice! It was also super convenient that all our guests were able to stay onsite at the lodge on the night of the wedding. When we visited Garnet Hill Lodge, we just knew that we wanted to have our wedding here. The scenery is unmatched and perfect for us as an outdoorsy couple. On top of being the most beautiful venue, the staff here was more than helpful and ALL the food was absolutely delicious! Nicole was such an amazing wedding coordinator at Garnet Hill Lodge. She had great communication with us and gave us lots of information and worksheets to help plan the wedding. Whatever we needed, she made sure to accommodate us and our guests! Lucy the dining captain and Josh the bartender were both fabulous to work with too, ensuring that we had the best service possible! The staff placed all our decor perfectly as we described, and the timeline of our event went seamlessly with their help. We loved having access to the lake, tennis courts, and disc golf course. It was like a mini vacation for all of our guests! Some guests even told us that it was the best wedding they have ever been to! We are so happy that we went with Garnet Hill Lodge as our venue, it couldn't have been a more perfect wedding!Garnet Hill Lodge's reply:

Our experience at Garnet Hill Lodge was exceptional. During the year of planning our wedding, communication and professionalism was consistent throughout the entire process. We felt like we had flexibility and plenty of options while we planned our wedding.
We were on site for almost 4 full days for our wedding and the service felt "white glove" while being in a rustic setting. We and all of our guests felt well taken care of in such a warm and welcoming environment. Nicole and her team have developed quite the well oiled machine when it comes to putting on a reception. Every aspect of the weekend was executed seamlessly and every single guest at our wedding loved every minute of being at Garnet Hill Lodge. So many of our guests had never been to the area before and fell in love with the Adirondacks by coming to Garnet Hill Lodge. Please do yourself a favor and host your wedding here. True Authentic Intimate Adirondack Wedding Experience
We truly couldn’t have picked a better venue for our wedding. Garnet Hill Lodge was everything we hoped for and more. From the breathtaking views to the cozy lodge, it perfectly captured that authentic Adirondack feel we were looking for.
Nicole, the wedding coordinator, was absolutely amazing. She communicated clearly throughout the entire process, respected all of our ideas, and brought our vision to life seamlessly. On the big day, she was incredibly attentive and ensured everything went off without a hitch—she truly made the day run smoothly and stress-free.
The entire staff at Garnet Hill Lodge was so kind and hardworking, and the food was incredible—our guests are still raving about it!

We couldn't be happier with our choice to have the wedding at Garnet Hill Lodge. We were familiar with the place. We had many Thanksgiving dinners there and hiked the many trails that they have, but this was beyond all of those wonderful memories. The attention to details that Nicole at Garnet Lodge and all of staff provided was amazing...Nothing was overlooked. The entire experience with the planning, the tasting of food, and the communication was extremely pleasant. I especially don't want to forget to mention the food...Everything was cooked to perfection, served beautifully and tasted amazing. The surroundings are like none other...On top of a mountain overlooking a lake in the ADK is breath taking...The pictures turned out amazing.
You won't regret having your wedding here. I highly recommend it. -

My husband and I got married at Garnet Hill Lodge in October of 2024, renting out the lodge for the whole weekend. It was everything that we hoped our Adirondack wedding would be.
The Adirondacks are our home away from home. We drive up to the area at least once a season, and we knew that we'd have an Adirondack wedding before we even got engaged.
Garnet Hill first came to our attention as one of the best cross country skiing spots in NY state, and we visited the lodge for a few winters in a row. In addition to the expansive network of trails, we enjoyed the great food and cozy evenings by the fire in the Log House. We knew the views were stunning and the staff were always kind and helpful. But once we got engaged and actually started reaching out to potential venues, Garnet Hill quickly established itself as the frontrunner.
Of all the places we spoke to - or were actually able to get in touch with - Nicole at GHL was by far the warmest and most responsive. She was an excellent guide through our planning journey, checking in, answering our (many many) questions, and letting us know if we were ahead of the game or needed to catch up in certain areas. Nicole was well-organized and took notes every time we spoke, helping us to gradually craft a Wedding Weekend timeline and Wedding Day timeline that kept us all on track. Nicole and the rest of the Garnet Hill team were also flexible with our special requests for beverages and food, seamlessly accommodating allergies and a variety of diets.
The whole weekend was perfect. While there was naturally some stress getting 70 guests up to the Adirondacks for a fall wedding without the help of a planner, there was never a hiccup that Nicole and team didn’t help us navigate quickly and without drama. It was awesome to have the whole lodge to ourselves, and hanging out with our loved ones by the fire the night before the Big Day put us in a lovely headspace.
On the morning of, Nicole and her team worked with our vendors and set up all of the decor we brought, understanding our vision and making sure everything looked fabulous. That made it easy for us to focus on getting ready, taking photos, and, you know, getting married! I work in events myself, and knew I’d have a tough time letting go of the day-of execution, but the Garnet Hill staff made our Wedding Day stress free. Many of our guests raved that our wedding was one of the best weddings they’d ever been to.
Garnet Hill Lodge and its staff showcase the beauty and hospitality of the Adirondacks spectacularly. We were so thankful we could share this special place with our friends and family.Garnet Hill Lodge's reply:

Perfect Wedding Weekend
My husband and had our wedding weekend here this November and it was fantastic! Nicole and her team were all so communicative, kind, and helpful. We had a a welcome dinner on Friday night and a wedding of about 40 people on Saturday. Everyone had a fantastic time. The staff at Garnet Hill Lodge really took care of everything. The food was amazing as well. Overall I would highly recommend this venue, especially for smaller weddings. It was so nice to have an intimate weekend with our favorite people. We had our dream wedding at Garnet Hill Lodge this past September! Besides the stunning views, the only thing more incredible about this venue is Nicole and her staff. Their wedding packages are incredibly easy to understand and customize through their convenient online portal and it was never a problem getting a hold of anyone to answer any questions that came up. It truly was the perfect weekend getaway for us and our guests, who made use of the onsite mountain bike rentals, boat launch and hiking trails. If you're looking to get married in the Adirondacks, I'm not sure a better location exists! We'll be cherishing our memories made here forever and will definitely be back for years to come. Absolutely Perfect!
Our wedding at Garnet Hill Lodge was truly a standout experience that we'll cherish forever. The staff went above and beyond to make our special day unforgettable. From the initial planning stages to the end of the night, they were responsive and accommodating, making the whole process smooth and stress-free. The venue itself exuded charm and rustic elegance, setting the perfect backdrop for our celebration.
One aspect that stood out to us was the impeccable service provided by the team. They not only ensured that every detail was taken care of but also treated us and our guests with genuine warmth and hospitality. It truly felt like they were a part of our extended wedding family.

Garnet Hill Lodge is the most spectacular wedding venue in the Adirondacks. The staff were so attentive and kind to both us and our guests. Nicole, who helped us plan was very organized and experienced and helped us make decisions. She was very attentive to detail which helped transform the space into our vision. Garnet Hill Lodge is the perfect combination of higher class cabin and summer camp. The cabin has so many rustic details with a laid-back vibe. We could not have found an Airbnb that slept as many people, and that had the view that the Lodge had. Guests got to enjoy an incredible view of the Adirondacks and 13th lake during the welcome dinner, the ceremony, cocktail hour, bonfires, or their morning breakfast. The lodge had so many amenities including beautiful rooms with a view, a buffet breakfast, lake access with float out docks, kayak and canoe rentals, disc golf, hiking in the Adirondacks, and mountain biking all on site. The food was incredible and the kitchen staff truly out did themselves. They also do incredible job maintaining the property. The grass was so green, and the property was blooming with flowers in summer. The best part is that will be able to return time and time again with our family for a weekend in the mountains at the lodge so we can share the special place with them. Perfect Venue For an Intimate Wedding
We could not recommend the Garnet Hill Lodge enough. The view is absolutely stunning and makes for an incredibly memorable experience. The food at the dinner service was delicious. The staff at Garnet Hill Lodge was excellent! They all went above and beyond to make sure everything went smoothly for our micro-wedding. They took care of every detail and were so kind and supportive throughout the whole process.
The venue itself is very scenic at all times of the year, and the updated lodge was a perfect setting for our event. Breakfast was included for all guests, which was a huge perk for us, too!

My husband and I got married at Garnet Hill Lodge on September 23, 2023. We could not have asked for or envisioned a more perfect venue and experience than what we had at Garnet Hill Lodge. We and our 70 guests stayed Friday afternoon through Sunday morning and had an incredible wedding weekend. Nicole and her team were absolutely amazing in every way. The staff were attentive, friendly, and efficient. Our guests were complimenting the service at every meal. The front desk staff could not have made the check-in process more easy for our guests staying onsite. When we had to unexpectedly move some guest rooms on Friday night due to unforeseen circumstances with an offsite rental, Ana was extremely helpful and efficient with helping with this process. Every meal we had during our stay was fantastic. The breakfast buffet was plentiful, the BBQ buffet Friday night was a hit and the reception food was unreal. We opted for the reception food to be buffet style and it worked out perfectly for our guests. The kitchen was more than accommodating for our dietary-restricted guests and also labeled food allergies with each deal. Coffee, tea, and water were always available in the lobby for our guests. Our guests were never bored and took full advantage of the lake, mountain bikes, and the beautiful back porch. Special thanks to Patrick for taking 38 of our guests on a guided hike to Hooper Mine on Saturday morning. Even my 86-year-old grandfather was able to participate! Thank you to Nicole, Lucy, Patrick, Ana, Paula, Erin, Kristen, and everyone else who worked tirelessly the entire weekend to make our experience amazing. Everything from the decor, to the food, to the service, to the facilities were outstanding. If you are looking to have a wedding that is private and more than just the traditional 6-8 hours, I cannot recommend Garnet Hill Lodge enough. Staying the whole weekend with our guests gave us time to relax, talk individually with every attendee, and more importantly, spend uninterrupted time as just the two of us. Our guests left saying it was the best wedding they had ever been to!

Amazing venue!
My husband and I got married in Sept 2023 here and it was beautiful! The staff were all helpful and friendly every step of the way. It was an amazing opportunity to have both our families come together for a weekend and get to know one another and have a relaxing vacation along with attending the wedding. Many people went on the guided hike and had a great time! The food was amazing and the view even better! Perfect wedding
We just had our wedding at Garnet Hill Lodge, 9/30/2023. It was perfect! It was a beautiful weekend, our guests who came in Friday night had a taco and Sunday bar. There was some issues with guests coming in due to a severe storm in the NJ area, however Garnet Hill easily adapted. Nicole is excellent to work with leading up to the event and day of the event. She is quick to respond to email and phone call. She handles things well that come up last minute and provides a good support to the bride, the moms and vendors. All our vendors loved the location for how beautiful it was and how well the wedding went. The rooms were beautiful, the coziness of a typical ADK room but also recently updated; we stayed in a balcony room and the view was peaceful to wake up to! Our guests loved how outside the wedding they were able to hike, kayak, disc golf, rock climbing and enjoy the local town. Our band and cocktail hour trip played outside in the beautiful new pavilion, plenty of room for hours of dancing! Our wedding was super fun and perfect for us! Best weekend ever!

We got married here in August 2023 and couldn’t be happier with our wedding!!
Leading up to the day Garnet Hill’s event manager Nicole was very responsive and helpful. She made sure that the lodge understood exactly what we wanted and helped guide us through the planning process.
We had the entire property to ourselves for the weekend—which meant almost all of our family and friends were able to stay at the lodge. It is charming, well-appointed, and clean. On Friday night we did a barbecue which everyone loved! The food was amazing, and it gave us time to chat with our wedding guests, soak in the views, and enjoy the bonfire.
On Saturday before the wedding our guests enjoyed going on a guided hike led by the a Garnet Hill staff member (thanks Patrick!) and exploring the beautiful nature surrounding the lodge.
Then came the wedding ceremony—our guests are still talking about the stunning views and we can’t wait to see how our pictures come out! The cocktail hour was fun, the dinner was intimate, the service was seamless, and the food was delicious! The dining room looked stunning, thanks to Lucy and the rest of the Garnet Hill team. We did dancing outside under the beautiful new pavilion and had late-night pizza after building up an appetite on the dance floor.
Overall, the Garnet Hill team was incredibly flexible, professional, and friendly. Our wedding weekend was perfect!!Garnet Hill Lodge's reply:

Rustic venue with gorgeous views!
We had our micro- wedding at Garnet Hill Lodge. Us and all of our guest came in for the weekend from out of town. Nicole had made it very easy to plan a wedding from out of town because her communication was great. They took care of all of my requests and handled all of the decorating. They made my day less stressful. The weather did not cooperate for the ceremony, but Nicole and Lucy had given us a plan b and it was still perfect. We got married under the pavilion and it was gorgeous.
The food was absolutely delicious!!!! 5 stars!!!! We hosted a welcome dinner and reception dinner and our guests could not stop raving about the food. Even breakfast buffet each morning was delicious. They also accommodated food requests for my 2 and 5 year olds.
The staff is wonderful! We met Lucy when we arrived Thursday, and she was just fantastic. There were no other guests that evening and she offered to stay to tend the bar for us. It was nice talking to her and getting to know her. She was so helpful the whole weekend!
The Lodge itself is charming, cozy, and incredibly clean. The views from the balcony rooms are incredible. The flowerbeds around the lodge are stunning. Pictures do not do justice. The Garnet Hill Lodge exceeded my expectations in every single way. We will definitely be coming back for a visit.Garnet Hill Lodge's reply:

The Perfect Wedding Venue
Garnet Hill Lodge provided us with a wedding experience that we will cherish for the rest of our lives. Leading up to our weekend, the venue coordinator, Jessica, was extremely responsive and helpful with answering our numerous questions, clarifying details, and guiding us along our planning process to ensure the details we had envisioned would all come together. This extended to the wedding weekend itself, when the team at GHL provided us with an outstanding experience, including (but not limited to!) the venue coordinator, Jessica, the dining room captain, Lucy, the head bartender, Erin, and the caretaker/hike leader/outdoor bartender, Patrick. All of the staff at GHL were extremely positive to work with, making a weekend full of logistical hurdles feel like a team effort to throw a perfect party. Additionally, the lodge and grounds provided an unbeatable setting. The lawn, with expansive mountain and lake views, was the perfect setting for our ceremony, cocktail hour, bonfire, and mingling space for our guests to meet and enjoy each other’s company. The newly-constructed, screened in pavilion provided an incredible space to dance the night away under fairy lights hung from the wood beams. The main dining room of the lodge provided the perfect rustic and warm setting for our wedding dinner and casual hangouts with our guests. Guests enjoyed the clean and comfortable accommodations in the lodge and other on-site buildings. Last but not least, the grounds provided an unparalleled outdoor experience, with many of our guests taking advantage of the hiking trails and beach on Thirteenth Lake. The grounds also provided a variety of breathtaking backdrops for wedding photos that we will cherish forever. The rustic charm of the setting was complimented by delicious food, often incorporating an Adirondack flair into familiar favorites. Many guests commented on the quality of the meals, from morning breakfast, to the wedding night hors d'oeuvres and dinner, to late night pizza. The flexibility of the venue was also a huge benefit, with our questions regarding meal options, locations, and timings being met with enthusiastic solutions. We would definitely choose Garnet Hill Lodge over and over again for the wonderful experience that we had here. If you are looking for a venue that provides a warm, welcoming, and charming space to gather your loved ones for an unbeatable celebration, this is the place for you.

We loved our winter wedding experience at Garnet Hill Lodge! We wished for snow and we certainly got it!!! There was a raging blizzard which was at peak force when guests were arriving, and the lodge staff went absolutely above and beyond in making sure ALL guests got to the lodge safely. Jessica Brown was wonderful to work with and put us all at ease with her friendly, easy-going nature and her can-do, problem-solving attitude. Perfect Wedding Weekend Upstate
My husband and I eloped in May and decided to do a wedding weekend celebration with family and friends at Garnet Hill Lodge in June. The grounds are just beautiful and all the rooms were recently updated so they were very lodge-chic for our guests. We were looking for a venue where we could have most of the guests stay on the grounds, we didn't have to use any shuttle bus and enjoyed a fun-filled weekend Friday to Sunday, with the place completely ours. We did a BBQ Friday night which was so delicious, did a sit down dinner Saturday night and used the new outdoor pavilion for dancing. Our guests enjoyed the grounds for lawn games and the lake during the day. We had big bonfires both nights. I am very into home decorating and Garnet was accommodating, letting me bring a ton of decor in to make the lodge feel a little more stylish. They also agreed to hang a ton of hanging lights which made for perfect ambience. Dwayne, the Manager, was amazing - he ensured renovations were done in time and even brought in our favorite donuts, Duck Donuts, from Albany! It was truly a magical weekend, it went so smoothly and we have such a wonderful time! PS - we lucked out and had no issues with black flies! so that was something we realized we didn't have to worry about like we had thought. Would highly recommend if you want an outdoors weekend with a beautiful view, good food, and a location where you can reserve the entire place/grounds for just you and your guests!Garnet Hill Lodge's reply:

If you are seeking a breathtaking venue with delicious food housed with exceptional staff and service, then look no further than Garnet Hill Lodge (GHL)! This is THE venue to book for a truly memorable wedding weekend with family and friends. From the moment we did the site visit, we felt welcomed. Without hesitation, we booked the site for a September wedding.
Here is the breakdown of our amazing experiences:
ACCOMMODATIONS
One of the main reasons we booked with GHL is due to the accommodations. Between the Log House and two cottages (Birches and Tea House), your family and friends are able to gather together on one property. The lodging is within walking distance from each other. There is something so tranquil about your guests arriving and parking their cars for the weekend and being able to walk and explore the resort by foot. The guest rooms are impeccably clean, decorated and comfortable.
VENUE
GHL is undeniably the perfect wedding venue! Imagine having an outdoor ceremony with your guests overlooking Thirteenth Lake and breathing in fresh, crisp mountain air. The arbor and chairs were set up that way so we all had a picturesque panoramic view. For outdoor Cocktail Hour, our musician played while hors d'oeuvres were circulated and guests played lawn games. Our reception was held in the spacious Log House. Our guests sat comfortably and dinner service went smoothly and punctual. For our First Look, we chose the location of the Private Beach and it was an ideal spot for pre-wedding moments with our photographer. Our guests had access to kayaks, canoes and paddle boards for use at Thirteenth Lake. They loved the outdoor activities!
STAFF
The wedding planning was seamless due to the most knowledgeable, patient and responsive Group Sales Manager aka our wedding guru, Jessica. From the initial email we sent to Jessica inquiring about the venue to our wedding day, she was amazing to work with. Jessica is your go to guide for all GHL-related questions, concerns, ideas, requests and wedding day needs. She went above and beyond to answer our questions by phone, email and in person, and helped us plan and organize the wedding weekend of our dreams. Jessica was professional, courteous and friendly. Her diligence, calm demeanor and attention to detail leading up to our wedding day was truly appreciated. You will enjoy working and planning your wedding with her!
Jeff is another employee of GHL that was clutch! As Head of Maintenance, he was responsible for setting up the venue for our Welcome BBQ, Ceremony and Reception. His assistance, support and hard work was cherished. He takes care of the venue property and the love and care are highly visible from the Private Beach to the hiking trails to the massive lawn space outside the Log House.
As we mentioned, Dwayne is the Manager and gave us a grand tour of GHL. He was friendly and responsive to our questions and ideas!
SERVICE/DINING
From check in with Paula to dining with the servers, the GHL team worked collaboratively to create a relaxing and pleasant stay for us and our guests. The Head Chef, Michael, cooked us tasty meals on the wedding day and we also opted for a welcome reception BBQ. We were excited to meet him at our menu tasting and have the opportunity to narrow down the delicious entree options. The food was fresh, filling and GHL offered a variety of options for all diners with any dietary restrictions. The food portions were more than you could ever ask for!
The service staff, notably Head Server, Lucy, and the Head Bartender, Erin, worked together harmoniously to provide enjoyable meals, drinks and exceptional service throughout the weekend. They were kind and very welcoming to our guests. It was nice to meet Lucy during our menu tasting and develop a positive rapport with her. Erin is an experienced bartender and will make your cocktail dreams come true. She was happy to work with us to create our Signature Cocktails for our wedding day.
In a nutshell, you will not regret booking GHL for your wedding experience. Thank you, Garnet Hill Lodge, for such a special and unforgettable wedding with our family and friends. We often reminisce about the good times we had there. It is highly recommended for all the reasons we listed above!

Can’t recommend Garnet Hill enough!!!
I cannot express how wonderful it was to work with Garnet Hill and it’s staff!
My husband and I were married on 10/2/21 at the Lodge. We started our planning and booked the venue Jan of 2020 and throughout the entire process they were nothing but accommodating.
Jessica took everything we had dreamed and made it come true. Erin, Lucy and Patrick are a true asset to the Lodge. You can tell they have been working together for a while by the smoothness in which everything comes together.
We have gotten so many compliments from guests on how GREAT the food was and how much fun they had. It will not be like any other wedding you or yours guests have attended. We ended up staying from Thursday to Sunday and the whole staff made us feel so welcome and we cannot wait to come back and visit everyone.

Gorgeous venue, delicious food, beyond accommodating and friendly staff!!!
My husband and I got married at garnet hill in September. We had a wedding “weekend” with our guests staying at the lodge Friday through Saturday. We got very lucky and had gorgeous weather both days. There was a bonfire each night and smores which was a huge crowd pleaser. All the food throughout the entire weekend, included the reception was amazing! We went with buffet style and the choices and variety were all delicious. The staff went above and beyond, not just during the event but leading up to it. The event coordinator, Jessica, was so patient and helpful with the many emails and phone calls back and forth. She thought of things that hadn’t even crossed my mind but we’re such thoughtful touches! We couldn’t be happier with our wedding at Garnet hill. Garnet Hill Lodge is a beautiful venue with an incredible staff. My husband and I had the weekend wedding of our lives and wish we could just keep reliving it. Our wedding turned out to be a hundred times more amazing than we could have ever dreamed of. The staff were so helpful, welcoming, easy to work with, kind and all around amazing people. They really made us and our guests feel at home. By the time we left, we felt like we were part of the Garnet Hill Lodge family. Jessica and Patrick were who we mostly worked with and they were outstanding from the start of booking until the day we left. Garnet Hill Lodge itself was the perfect venue for my husband and I who are very outdoorsy people. The lodge was perfect, rustic and cozy, the view was breathtaking and the lake was so much fun to swim and kayak in. The other lodging that was offered on site was a great fit for our guests. One of the most fun things about the weekend was that there was not a lot of cell service and once everyone got to the venue on Friday no one had to leave until Sunday because everything was provided there. The Welcome Party on Friday night was a blast, we brought a bunch of yard games and had a party! The wedding day itself was just magical, I am still lots for words but it was just absolutely amazing. We would recommend Garnet Hill Lodge to anyone and everyone, if we could give them a 10 out of 5 stars we would. Our wedding guests and us are still reminiscing about how fun and wonderful the wedding weekend was, and we all can't wait to visit again sometime soon.Garnet Hill Lodge's reply:

I cannot recommend this venue enough! It was stunning, the food was incredible, and the staff was fantastic. Nicole in sales was so responsive and helpful, she really made planning our last-minute-destination-holiday-season-pandemic wedding easy! Garnet-Hill was not our original plan, but this turned out to be 1,000 times better than our original plan! We got to have the whole lodge for the entire weekend, with just our closest friends and family. This made it so our wedding wasn't over in just a few hours. We were able to provide all food for our guests (breakfast, lunch, and dinner) for the whole weekend at an incredibly reasonable price! It was less than other vendors (who weren't as tasty) quoted us for just the wedding dinner! And the food was AMAZING for every meal! Lucy, the head server, was sweet and so great to us and all of our guests. Our pictures turned out phenomenal because the setting is just so beautiful. Everything was perfect. Best Wedding Venue I could have asked for!!
I just had my wedding last weekend at the Garnet Hill Lodge and I really cannot express how unbelievably perfect it was! Every aspect of the wedding was exactly what I wanted. From Nicole and her staff, to the food (delicious!!), to the ambiance (the view is unbelievable), I could not have been more happy with my wedding! I can't say enough about Nicole and the rest of the staff. From beginning to end and through the whole planning process, they were really fantastic. My husband and I got married in late September at Garnet Hill and could not have dreamed up a better wedding venue. My parents live nearby so we were fortunate enough to already know about this Adirondack hidden gem and how perfect it was for us. The venue has so many gorgeous spots for photos and the view from the front lawn is unbeatable with the lake and mountains in the background. My husband and I were able to do our first look on the dock that extends out onto the lake. It made for some pretty amazing photos! My bridesmaids and I stayed at The Birches (one of the houses on the property) which has a common room that was the perfect private spot for all of us to get ready. Between the lodge itself and all the nearby houses for rent, many of our family and friends were able to stay right on the property for the full weekend. There was plenty of things for our guests to do, including hiking and canoeing on the Garnet Hill property and exploring the nearby town of North Creek. One of the staff members even led some of our family members on a hike the day after the wedding.
Not only was the venue beautiful, but the staff were incredibly helpful throughout the entire process and the wedding day itself. Nicole was amazing and worked with us throughout all of the planning to make sure we were happy with every little detail. Everything was thought of and taken care of ahead of time, so once the wedding weekend came we were fully able to relax and enjoy our time. The food was so delicious and the kitchen staff catered to some of our guest's dietary restrictions. They even set aside appetizers for us since we were taking pictures during the cocktail hour. The bar staff was also excellent and provided us with some local beer we specifically requested. From the groundskeeper to the waiters and waitresses, the whole staff did everything they could on the weekend of the wedding to make sure everyone had a great time. Even our guests commented on how great the staff were!

My Husband and I wanted a weekend getaway for our wedding and Garnet Hill delivered. People are still talking about what a great weekend it was two months later. Garnet Hill is isolated, which was a great opportunity for our guests to unplug and enjoy themselves. If you need extra accomodation, there are plenty of vacation homes in the area that you can rent out, or have your guests rent out.
The food was spectacular. We did the buffet, which was a great value and everyone raved about the food.
The location and view was unparalleled. We were lucky enough to have a partially cloudy fall day, and it was glorious. The pavillion worked out perfectly for dancing at night.
Nicole and her team worked with us to make sure everything was perfect for the day. Even when they had a staff change, she stepped up to make sure everything was perfect for our day.

Garnet Hill Wedding: Gorgeous , Amazing food, Lovely staff, Incredible Accommodations! Perfect Wedding!
People kept asking us during our wedding weekend, "How did you find this gem?" We live in Colorado and began planning our wedding two years in advance (we postponed due to COVID). We simply googled "best places to get married in Upstate New York," and Garnet Hill Lodge showed up. We saw the views, rustic but modern accommodations, and great reviews for food and reached out immediately. Some nearby family visited and they said "this is the place -- the gorgeous rooms, the incredible food, and SPECTACULAR VIEW!" We booked sight unseen, and have zero regrets!
Most upstate venues are incredibly expensive and nickel and dime you for anything extra. Garnet Hill is not like that. They included in their base price special things like a bonfire with smores, organized a hike the morning of the reception, and hosted brunch the following morning. These small touches made our weekend that much more special.
That base pricing additionally guarantees you have the entire lodge for your weekend weekend. Friday evening to Sunday morning only your guests are staying at the lodge! This is fantastic, but do be aware that you will be charged for any empty rooms in the Lodge -- try and fill them all up! We recommend minimum 42 people to fill out the rooms completely.
We originally had someone else as our day-of coordinator who helped us through our initial contract and details. She did leave spring of this year. Although the transition to our current day-of coordinator, Nicole LaBounty, had a few hiccups (minor communication mix-ups with new and old emails and a couple missed emails, nothing serious!) the overall process was very smooth. Nicole and her staff are accommodating, flexible, and patient. They want to make sure everything is perfect for you! They will offer several options for every detail -- and sometimes surprise you with a brand new idea you'll love.
We also want to note we had a nontraditional pagan wedding and the staff did not bat an eye. They simply asked us how we wanted everything set up and made sure they had all of the details right.
We did not have to stress the day of at all! We had ironed out all of the details with Nicole, including shipped some things to the lodge, and she had staff make sure everything was assembled exactly how we wanted it! We felt so doted on and taken care of. Erin the bartender made our signature cocktails just as we wanted and Lucy the dining captain is an absolute gem of a human -- working hard to ensure everything is to your taste and thoughtful about food allergies! Nicole is very warm and very communicative! She handled all communication with our vendors. My spouse and I planned our wedding totally by ourselves, and Nicole made things so easy.
Also, as an LGBT couple they were very affirming overall; we felt safe and respected. We will say that we both use they/them pronouns, and other than Lucy the staff struggled a tad using them -- but other than that, we + our LGBT guests felt welcomed. They made us feel so special and treated us like human beings deserving of an immaculate wedding and that's what they delivered (and what really counts).
Garnet Hill Lodge is the place to have your beautiful Adirondack wedding regardless of the season. The food is divine, the views are stupendous, and the staff is extremely hospitable. Our wedding day was perfect and seamless and that couldn't have happened without the lovely staff of Garnet Hill. We plan to go back to celebrate future anniversaries!Garnet Hill Lodge's reply:

What a perfect venue and location! Garnet Hill recently hosted our weekend wedding and it could not have been more magical. The views are stunning, the activities fun and accessible, the rooms super comfortable, and the food truly delicious. But mostly this review is about the people. Nicole organized our planning chaos and many questions graciously and calmly. Patrick was the ultimate hike guide and regional expert. Jeff and the maintenance/grounds team were somehow always around when you needed them and incredibly helpful. Lucy and the dining room staff were awesome and put us all at ease. Paula and Ana and the rest of the reception team helped solve all sorts of small on-the-ground confusions. The whole team was great to work with and quick with a smile. We cannot recommend Garnet Hill Lodge enough and we cannot wait to make it part of our annual vacation plan. The BEST wedding weekend!
From Friday night to Sunday morning we had the BEST wedding weekend! The food was delicious, scenery was beautiful and staff was super helpful!
People commented it was the best wedding food they had ever had. Nicole was super accommodating with our food requests for our taco bar party on Friday night to our Italian food wedding buffet on Saturday and Sunday brunch! The drinks were also delicious and Nicole helped us come up with some delicious signature drinks!
The weather the day of our wedding wasn't the best but the staff was super accommodating! We made the decision to keep the wedding outside and when the ceremony started the rain stopped and beams of sunlight shown down on the ceremony and it was magical! We also had a lot of decorations that we brought in and the staff was super helpful with setting it all up!
The accommodations were clean and comfortable, no one had a bad thing to say! Guests were kept busy all weekend between the guided hike Peter held, to kayaking and mountain biking. There is also rail biking in the town of North Creek which is a must do! But you have to book pretty far in advance.
There are so many beautiful photo spots around the property between the lookout at the lodge, lake front and hiking trails. We set aside a large chunk of time to do portraits on the wedding day and did our first look at the dock, went for a little canoe ride, did a quick hike to the mine for some photos and then did sunset photos at the lodge.
We couldn't be happier with our wedding weekend, I honestly can't imagine doing a wedding in just one day! The whole weekend allowed us to see and chat with ALL of our guests and be relaxed! Loved that everything happened at the lodge made for a smooth and worry free wedding weekend! My husband and I plan on coming back every year in the winter time to ski on their awesome cross country trails!Garnet Hill Lodge's reply:

Perfect Adirondack Wedding
The owners, managers, chef, and staff made our wedding exactly what we envisioned. Typically couples talk about "that thing that went wrong" but we can honestly say nothing went wrong. We worked with the folks at Garnet Hill Lodge for a year on our wedding, trying to keep is as simple, yet elegant, as possible with as much Adirondack spirit as we could. The owners and staff have poured a ton of resources into the Lodge in the last year to bring it up to date and provide a greater experience. Our wedding was quite large and we were concerned we were stressing the staff, but just the opposite - they embraced us like family and ensured everything went smoothly. We had guests from overseas and around the country, all in awe of how beautiful the lodge and setting were, and how accommodating and friendly the staff was.
If you're looking for a true Adirondack setting this is it. It's not over designed with faux rustic decorations. It's the real deal. And so are the people. The location is remote, by some standards, but for us, that added to the character of the wedding we wanted. The view is spectacular, the lodge is warm and inviting, and their a great amenities (like canoeing, hiking, biking) all included with the great service Garnet Hill Lodge provides. -

Garnet Hill is a dream wedding venue. The first time we stepped foot on the property we knew it was the place we were going to get married. The views, the rustic charm and the staff made us feel right at home. We can not say enough good things about this venue.Garnet Hill Lodge's reply:

Absolutely perfect Adirondack Wedding
We have a family home in the Adirondacks so at first Garnet Hill Lodge was a convenient place for our wedding. At the end of our wedding we realized that we..my husband and the staff at GHL...had created a magical event. Our guests, many familiar with the area, were amazed at the beautiful views, relaxed staff, great food and overall how wonderful the setting was for our wedding. I can't say enough about the location and THE STAFF of Garnet Hill Lodge. -

Cailin Sent on 03/27/2018Once I saw Garnet Hill Lodge I knew it was where I was going to get married. Cozy and friendly with amazing views.
We had a lovely wedding at Garnet Hill Lodge in late October. Nicole was amazingly helpful in helping us to organize outside vendors for our weird requests, like two dozen pumpkins for carving at the rehearsal and a bouncy castle. When I said, I wanted bacon, just bacon, as an appetizer they were all over it. Post-ceremony kite flying? All over it.
They were wonderful at accommodating our guest list, even though it was slightly larger than their max. Everyone bent over backward to make sure things ran smoothly, including purchasing a new sound system ahead of our wedding to accommodate for dancing in a tent rather than in the lodge. It was amazing.
The day I appreciated the lodge the most was the day after the wedding. Since it was booked with only our guests, everyone ambled through the lobby on their way out. We were exhausted, but it was the perfect way to see our guests one last time. Sitting on the couches in front of a roaring fire, drinking a beer and eating the most amazing French Onion Soup.
The wedding day was a whirl, but the day after was time to sit and talk with my friends and family in a way I don't think often happens. -
