The GalleryOne Doubletree in Ft. Lauderdale was a wonderful place for our daughter and son-in-laws wedding reception. The senior catering manager is very professional, courteous, and reassuring. She did a great job. All of the out of town guests loved the venue, and the ballroom looked beautiful! From the first consultation until the end of the party, we were well taken care of and everyone had a blast! We are thrilled.The GalleryOne Doubletree in Ft. My husband and I had our wedding reception at GalleryOne in December. Chiara was our catering manager and she was phenomenal! She was able to help work with our budget while making sure we had the wedding of our dreams. She paid attention to every detail and was very organized. They were very accommodating to our other vendors as well. They offer different packages, depending on your needs.
We had our cocktail hour outside which is right on the intracoastal. The hor d'oeurves were very good and the staff was very attentive. Being on the water is a great bonus because of all the big boats and yachts that sail by! Our section of the outside area was reserved just for us and we were not interrupted by the other hotel guests.
The ballroom was the perfect size to accommodate our guest list and the room flowed great! We had checked out other hotels in the area and none of them had ballrooms that were so open in layout. We had plenty of linen options and the staff set the room up exactly as requested.
I would definitely recommend the GalleryOne to anyone looking for the perfect reception venue! It is a wonderful hotel with great views and accommodating, friendly staff. Amazing experience! From the staff, set-up, guest rooms and amenities, this hotel is beyond 5 stars! The staff was super helpful and kind. The guest rooms were spacious and clean and the pool was great to lounge around. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay and our wedding was so beautiful. My wedding day could not have gone any better! I chose to have our ceremony/reception on the yacht "Sun Dream", which docks behind the Gallery One DoubleTree hotel. We used a group rate discount to allow our guests a convenient and comfortable way to spend the weekend of celebration. The guests loved the ambiance, the views and all the staff were very professional.My wedding day could not have gone any better! My husband and I were actually married on a yacht that docked at the Gallery One hotel, but we also blocked off rooms for guests of our wedding and the events coordinator for weddings that I worked with for the rooms was fantastic. She set up a website for our guests to book their rooms and constantly kept me informed of who had gotten rooms. The rooms were large and at a great price for being right on the IntraCoastal waterway. Overall great experience and highly recommended.

Beautiful hotel! The front desk staff is fantastic and Marissa the front desk manager makes sure things are perfect! The entire staff is exceptional from the bellhops to the maid staff to the bartenders to the front desk. Our stay and that of all our out of town guests was perfect!Beautiful hotel! I am an out of town bride and had a wonderful experience with the catering manager (Chiara Tacca-Hess) and hotel manager (Christopher Byrnes). I did not have a wedding coordinator or planner so it was quite stressful doing everything on my own. However, Chiara was very helpful, answering all kinds of questions, working within my budget, knew what I couldn't compromise on. She was incredibly responsive for the entire year, I spoke with number of hilton catering managers and although this venue was not my top choice as the team, my interactions with her led me to believe I would be much better off signing with her and I am glad I did - no regrets. Great location to where our wedding and reception was being held in Fort Lauderdale. We had great photos taken at the hotel. The accommodations were superb as they were Suites! The only thing was the valet parking/parking for outside guests can be a little frustrating but other than that, it was awesome!Great location to where our wedding and reception was being held in Fort Lauderdale. We hosted a destination wedding and although this hotel was spotless it was expensive. Parking, Internet, and breakfast were not included and the price of each were astronomical. They were also not very flexible when it came to blocking the rooms for our wedding all of our guests ended up staying elsewhere or booking by themselves.We hosted a destination wedding and although this hotel was spotless it was expensive. I do not recommend booking your wedding and/or reception at the GalleryOne Doubletree Fort Lauderdale. Here is what happened to me:
1. My assigned wedding coordinator resigned 3 months before the wedding (Not their fault, but a new one was not assigned until 1 month out from the wedding.)
2. I contracted the "beach" area for our ceremony at the hotel and I called one month before the wedding to ask a few questions. They told me I could no longer use that area because it was under construction. I can't believe NO ONE called me to tell me this. I am not sure anyone would have told me had I not called. Had I known that the beach area would be under construction, I never would have booked my wedding ceremony there. It's funny, because rain forced us to be indoors anyway, but the point is I did not get the location I paid for and the back-up location outdoors was awful. I was told I could get my money back and not get married there, but this was a destination wedding and I could not move the location 4 weeks before the big day. I had to go with the crappy location due to time restraints.
3. On the day of the wedding, no one told me it was moved indoors. I assumed because of the rain, but I literally had no idea where the wedding was going to be held until I went downstairs and discovered where people were gathering. There wasn't any signage for the guests so I had about 10 people get confused and miss the wedding. I wasn't shown the ballroom during our rehearsal. I guess I should have said something, but its not my job.
4. The toilet over-flowed 3 times while girls were getting ready. Someone came to plunge twice, but never cleaned the floor. We had to tip-toe around poop water all day, we called front desk repeatedly.
5. The new wedding coordinator I was assigned was friendly and helpful, but I felt like it was too little too late. I got to be her first nightmare bride on the job, I am sure!
