We found Gage in the middle of 2020. Crazy times and even crazier we were trying to plan a wedding. Our initial contact (Video Chat) with Gage was like meeting a new friend at a party. Relaxed, comfortable and we knew instantly that this guy was perfect. Not to mention his insane photography and videography skills, of course. But you already knew that.
It’s important to trust your vendors with your big day and we trusted him immediately.
Skip to the engagement shoot (do it, it’s worth it!), we wanted some unique photos, mainly water photos. Gage literally jumped right in with us. What came out of that was some of the dreamiest photos I’ve ever seen. He captured our love and everything in it.
Now skip to the wedding- he checked in with ME. If you’re doing a DIY wedding, you’re normally busy managing other vendors and putting out small fires as you go. Throw in a pandemic wedding when CA just opens up, a vendor and someone as important as your photographer, reaching out makes a big impact. When talking to him, it felt calming and reassuring that everything was going to work out and I didn’t have to “manage” him. He had it, he knew what he was doing, where he was going, the times. Everything.
I’m mainly writing about him as a person (his assistant photographer was just as rad), and it’s because if you have researched him at all, you know how insane his photos are. They’re unique and full of life and movement. That’s what we were drawn to. You know his epic video skills (our video was insane and perfect too). I still gush over him when I see our photos on the wall or rewatch our video.
Call him, email him, contact him in some way and it will be the best thing you ever do for your wedding. Your wedding day flies by (I know you hear that but omg, you have no idea) and all your memories are shoved together in this fun, slightly anxiety filled, possibly drunk, tired, chunk….Until you get the photos & video and it’s like reliving your wedding all over again.

We got attracted to Gage's ability to take photos when people are in motion which makes each photo more natural and less staged. And this is exactly what we got! Gage provided us with the best experience - we had a small family elopement ceremony and he went above and beyond to capture everything we had in mind. He casually asked us to dance, take a silly walk around the lake, have a chat - and all of those photos turned out beautifully! He seems to have a way to make people around him relaxed and ready for a photoshoot.
It only took him a week and a half to get the photos back to us and they were stunning! I noticed that most photos that he produces can be printed and hung on a wall by themselves. I know it's hard to do that since each photo needs to be of high quality and taken from a good angle with people being natural in the picture.
All in all, Gage is your guy, you won't regret hiring him. We will hire him again for our bigger wedding! -

The best photographer you could ask for!
Gage did our engagement and wedding photography and I couldn’t be happier with how the photos turned out and the how smooth the process was. He made us feel comfortable and his artistic style is exactly what I was looking for: warm, authentic, and lots of candids :) -

We hired Gage for photography and videography for my rehearsal dinner, welcome event, and wedding, and I am so, so happy we did! Our photos and video came out absolutely stunning, and perfectly captured all of the fun, love, and magic of the day. The video was so thoughtfully edited, capturing all of the sweet moments before and after the ceremony, the fun of the reception, and just some of the chaos from the dance floor...! Gage was super communicative before and after, making sure he knew exactly what we wanted to have captured and who we wanted to focus on. The day of, he was really flexible and patient, and made sure we had the coverage we wanted while suggesting ideas. We were so excited to see all of the photos, and our families are having trouble picking which ones to have printed because they're all so beautiful! My husband and I have worked in production so can be really picky about these things, and we can both honestly and enthusiastically recommend working with Gage to capture all of your important moments! -

Flexible and Accommodating
We had a great experience with Gage. He took our engagement photos and wedding photos as well. He was very responsive, professional, helpful, and reasonable. We got a ton of photos from both events! -

We chose Gage, well because we liked his pictures. But we were glad that he also was very engaging, creative, and adaptable. He made the whole shoot fun and relaxed with his sense of humor and encouragement to feel freely ourselves. Collaborating with him on unique ideas for the engagement made it feel like these photos were more representative of us. During our engagement shoot it was rainy and misty, but because Gage was willing to give it a shot (pun intended) the photos ended up really beautiful and unique. -

The best! Hire him for your wedding!!
We hired Gage for our late October 2021 wedding and he was truly amazing. His package included either an engagement session or rehearsal session, and since we weren’t local, we had him for our rehearsal and wedding day. The photos for both turned out so beautiful! Considering we only had him, and not a second shooter, he really did such a great job at capturing as many of our special moments as possible. Not only was his work great, but Gage is kind, professional, and so easy to be around. You can tell he cares about the couples he works with, and that care absolutely shows through his work. Gage was an integral part of the best day of our lives- we would absolutely recommend him to anyone! -

Working with Gage was fantastic! He was really good with helping us to plan out what we wanted our engagement photos to look like, as well as at offering direction throughout the shoots, which made it really easy for us and also made the pictures look organic and beautiful. Just Perfect
We feel so lucky we found Gage!
We knew the day would go by fast. So having amazing pictures to look back on, that truly captured our day was one of our top priorities. Not only is his work beautiful and his artistic style timeless, but most importantly he captures so much joy/feeling/emotional moments in his photos.
He was amazing in being our “paparazzi”! My husband (who is not a fan of posing) and I didn’t feel like we were being photographed……we were able to remain in our little "just married" bubble. We even had the worst wedding schedule possible but Gage was right there with us….honorary part of the fam!
The pictures we’ve seen of our day so far are beyond gorgeous. The light he captured with the surrounding colors are so beautiful. I still can't believe they're ours :). Our favorite part is that they really do bring us back to that point in time which is EVERYTHING to us.

Absolutely amazing
So I came across Gage because my photographer canceled 3 days before the big day. My original photographer recommended him. I could not be happier he was literally the most amazing guy ever!! So nice felt like he was part of the wedding party!! The pictures are stunning!!!!!! Love love love. If you want an amazing photographer he’s your guy! He literally got on the roof of my parents house to get a shot he wanted!! So perfect I cannot say enough about him!!! -

We were so fortunate to find Gage just in the nick of time! Like so many other couples set to wed in 2020, we were left with little choice but to postpone our wedding to a later date. After heartbreaking deliberation, we decided to still get married on our chosen second wedding date. Unfortunately, our initial photographer was unable to photograph our now "micro-wedding." We needed to find someone quickly with only a couple months notice. That's when we found GageingLife.
We were perusing WeddingWire, just as you are now, and were first attracted to his business logo. We clicked on his page and viewed his website and knew he was someone we needed to reach out to. The way he talked about photography, his vision, and style all caught our eye. We first connected and chatted over Zoom and found during that meeting that he was the obvious choice for us.
The package we agreed upon with him was that of an engagement photo shoot + a few hours of wedding coverage. We were not at all disappointed! Gage helped us squeeze in both photo sessions -- in two different locations -- just two weeks apart from each other! His turnaround is very fast! He edited the 100s of photos he took at our events in no more than 1-2 weeks. Amazing! The photos all turned out classy, were uniquely styled, and captured the very essence of us SO. WELL. Not an easy task to truly capture a beautiful, genuine moment in time.
My husband and I cannot sing enough praise for Gage! He is such a kind, patient, funny and down-to-earth guy. He really is that "photography ninja" that you are going to want on your team! :) -

Gage is an incredible artist! We hired him to be the videographer for our wedding after hearing so many great things about him from others in the industry! He did a fabulous job capturing the atmosphere of our wedding, he really focused on all the details that mattered and gave us something special to remember the best day of our lives! I was hesitant at first when deciding whether to book a videographer… “Was it worth the money?” “Am I going to end up with some silly fuzzy VHS video like our parents did in the 80s?” “Will it be awkward to have someone filming us the whole day?” Well, let me tell you… BEST DECISION EVER! I have this amazing footage; I was able to share the video on social media with all of my loved ones, he somehow managed to capture all of the love we had that day into just a few minutes!! This is something we will always treasure and be grateful for!! Gage is so talented, his work is phenomenal & he was awesome to work with! Thank you!!! -

Gage was amazing from start to finish and the quality of his work is even better! We took all planning of our wedding pretty seriously and Gage was the easiest/best decision we made. He was new to the area when we booked him but the quality of his portfolio grabbed our attention so we took the “risk” of booking a newer vendor.... and I recommend you book him as well now before he blows up and becomes too successful to deal with wedding gigs 😜.... seriously!

Gage exceeded our expectations. He was very polite, professional, and easy going. He didnt make us feel uncomfortable taking pictures and took amazing shots of our wedding and getting ready pictures. Not only was he very responsive with my (im sure annoying)questions, but he was very friendly in person and showed up on time. I am in love with our pictures and cannot wait to post and share them by mail with my guests. Do not hesitate in booking him. You will not regret it.

We chose Gage for so many reasons but the biggest driver was his style. There's a vintage, elegant feel to it. They're the kinds of photos that are timeless and everyone absolutely loves every single shot. We also had videographer done and I cried watching our video back. Hands down, the most bang for you buck. Gage felt like one of the guests when it came to familiarity but made himself scarce when those special moments were taking place. A true professional. -

What a fun photo experience!
Gage was such a great instructor when my shy daughter was getting first time professional photos done. Let me tell you about this photographer...
I will try to keep this short...
Service: From the moment I contacted Gage he was responsive, respectful, and so flexible. We planned our wedding in California from Maryland and he went out of his way to face time, email, text the entire time we were planning. He went through his contract with me piece by piece AND followed through on everything he promised and more.
Professionalism: Honestly, I didn't want a photographer I had to command and tell what to do all the time, I needed to be able to focus on my day and have the photographer I could trust. I needed someone who could read the mood, get along with everyone, and go with the flow. Gage did not disappoint. When he was in the room with all the girls changing and putting on makeup, he was more than respectful, listened to conversations so he knew when to come and go or turn away for a moment. He never was over bearing or forceful but stood his ground when others wanted to go against what I wanted in the moment.
Photos: If you want photos that are light, dramatic although NATURAL, intimate, and CANDID then look no further. I honestly had no idea he was taking half the photos and videos which made them all the more amazing. He saw angles, moments, and positions I never imagined would be so organic and gorgeous.
Video: I should have started here honestly. I wish I could post our video on here. Every. single. person. that watched our video shed a tear or more. With the least amount of direction, truly just a small conversation on the moments I would like filmed, he transformed our wedding video into THE BEST summary of the best day of our lives.
Overall, Gage was the best photographer myself and anyone could have asked for. He is truly part of the family now. He bonded with so many of us, helped capture moments no one saw coming, and helped make our day the amazing day it was. We will be using his services in the future.
