Amazing people, Amazing Food!

Catie and team were amazing to work with. As part of their service, we were invited to a tasting in order to decide what we wanted to serve our guests. I'm not sure if this is standard practice or not, but as a foodie, it was very much appreciated! We were provided a broad list of very enticing option and it was all so tasty that we had a hard time narrowing it down!

When our wedding day arrived, food service was provided seamlessly, according to our exact specifications. We chose to serve a seasonal salad and bread, along with a pecan chicken and prime rib, along with several dessert shooters. Everything tasted and looked amazing, especially for having to feed such a large crowd! Given our numbers we were unable to provide plated dinner service, but we ended up not really noticing much of a difference in terms of quality. Service was also outstanding, as we never went without, and all the servers and bartenders shined to make it a truly wonderful experience!

Catie and the team at Gadabouts provided exceptional service from start to finish! Throughout the planning process, Catie was incredibly friendly and helpful, and on our wedding day the crew went above and beyond to make sure everything ran seamlessly. The food was absolutely delicious, even our guests are still raving about it! We’re so grateful to Gadabouts for being such a fabulous catering vendor.

Best caterer ever!

We cannot say enough great things about Gadabouts Catering and the incredible Catie! From the moment we met her at our tasting, we knew we were in excellent hands. She went above and beyond in every way — professional, warm, and so easy to work with throughout the entire process.

The food was absolutely spectacular. We had a carving station with steak, and our guests are still raving about how delicious it was. The assorted desserts and cake were also a huge hit — beautifully presented and just as good as they looked.

Beyond the food, what really stood out was the staff. Every single person, from the servers to the bartenders, was incredibly friendly and attentive — even during the busiest moments. Our guests repeatedly told us how kind and welcoming the team was, and that kind of service truly makes a lasting impression.

We heard over and over again that it was some of the best wedding food people have ever had — and we couldn’t agree more. If you're looking for top-notch catering with amazing service and delicious food, Gadabouts is the way to go!

Sky Retreat Wedding

My son and his beautiful wife had Gadabouts cater their wedding on a Wednesday at the Sky Retreat in Purlear NC. Their staff was amazing and went above and beyond. The ladies used their glasses for head table and Katie made sure they were clean and reset.
Eileen was amazing to work with.
The food amazing and the appetizers were out of this world.
The charcuterie table was beyond belief.
They made my kids wedding event the best day ever… so far

Love Gadabouts!

We booked Gadabouts as our wedding caterer and we are SO happy we did! We got engaged last year and initially had a really tough time finding a caterer that 1) was reasonably priced, 2) was responsive to our calls/emails, and 3) where the food actually looked good. Gadabouts was the top recommendation by our venue and after reaching out, we immediately fell in love. Catie was so patient with us, answering all questions and addressing any concerns with ease. We live out-of-state and took a chance on booking them without trying the food first, since their reviews were sparkling. By the time we finally had a food tasting we were so relieved! The food was delicious and Catie is so sweet and professional. Wedding day went off without a hitch - presentation was perfect and the whole experience was effortless.

Excellent experience!

Gadabouts was a joy to work with over the past year of planning. Catie was super helpful and always available to answer my questions. We used them for both rehearsal dinner and wedding day and the service both nights was exquisite. They had drinks waiting on us after walking back down the aisle and plates full of food at our table as soon as we were ready! We also used them for bartending and they were excellent at that as well. Sweet and personable bartenders! Couldn't recommend them enough!

June wedding

I cannot say enough good things about Gadabouts. My venue recommended them to me by saying if they were getting married tomorrow Gadabouts is who they would want to cater and I can now confirm this. I would 100% choose them all over again and my guests have been raving about the food ever since the wedding. They went above and beyond to help create a menu that was beyond delicious and also within my budget. They also had rentals for plates and glasses and such to choose from for a very reasonable price as well as recommending other affordable options. I also hired the bartenders through them and they did an amazing job as well! From the tasting to constant emails about planning out the day to the final execution I was amazed by Catie and her team the whole way through. I felt they truely cared about me and that they worked very hard to make everything perfect.

Best Decision We Made

My daughter was married on 5/5/24 and Gadabouts was our caterer. I can't tell you how glad we are that we chose this vendor for her wedding at Overlook Barn on Beech Mountain. From the very first email, the responses from this vendor were prompt, professional, friendly, and so helpful. I've gotten used to a level of service from many businesses that leave alot to be desired. That is not the case with Gadabouts. Catie helped us plan an amazing reception. She sent us over menus (there are soo many options), bar packages and information quickly, and then customized a menu within our budget that included all our "must haves". Not once did I feel I was being pushed to spend more. Catie was happy to make suggestions and I literally never heard her say "no we can't do that". Every email I sent was responded to promptly, and she was careful to answer every single question. We also rented the place settings, flatware and table linens through Gadabouts, and it made everything so easy. I felt completely confident that the cocktail hour and dinner would be amazing and I wasn't dissappointed. We chose the "Taste of the South" with some alterations and it was delicious. We received so many compliments on the food. I have to say I fell in love with the shrimp and grits - which normally is not a favorite for me. I'd also like to compliment the staff. I have been to numerous weddings where the servers have an attitude and seem to be annoyed to be there. The Gadabouts staff was so professional, friendly and accomodating. I really can't say enough about this company. They really check all the boxes. Catie was so gracious, and helpful that by the time I finally met her at the reception, I felt like she was a friend. I really wish I'd taken pictures of the food, but I was too "in the moment" apparently because I realized I have none. You can't go wrong with this caterer.

Amazing food!

My husband and I are both foodies and wanted food that our guests would talk about for months after the wedding. Gadabouts exceeded all our expectations. Every guest said how wonderful the food was and that it was the best food they had ever had at a wedding. From the grazing table to the prime rib carving station everything that was served at the wedding was phenomenal. Gadabouts was able to work with us to create our dream wedding menu and ensure that we had everything we could have wanted. Catie was there to answer all of our questions through the entire process. She helped us have our dream espresso martini tower and was able to take any and all suggestions we had and turn it into a reality. The day of the wedding we had the best servers and bartenders that took care of us and our guests. It was a night to remember and Gadabouts helped to make it possible.

To echo what everyone else is saying, we had a wonderful experience working with Gadabouts and Catie in particular for our wedding. The service, responsiveness, and professionalism was second to none and the food was phenomenal. The staff were so on it and so friendly— they even made plates for my husband and I without our even asking so we didn’t have to think about it. I am amazed by this company and so grateful we chose to go with them for our wedding!

Amazing All Around!!

We used Gadabouts as our wedding caterer recently and we could not be happier about our experience with them. Everything including the food, bartending, planning and communication ahead of our event, and our initial tasting was absolutely excellent. As soon as we tasted the food we knew immediately we wanted to book with Gadabouts for our wedding. Everything we tasted was amazing and actually made it difficult to choose what we wanted to have at our wedding. They were also very flexible with the menu, both regarding how many/what types of items to include as well as the specific ingredients in a certain dish. They made several small changes to their menu items to align with our tastes and all the food was absolutely perfect on the wedding day. Additionally, Catie was a great help in planning the catering and bartending services in the months leading up to the wedding. She answered all of our questions, coordinated all the tableware, glassware, and linens, and even guided us through everything we would need to provide since we decided to stock the bar ourselves. If you are considering Gadabouts as your caterer for any event, you will absolutely not be disappointed. Both the food and the service are unmatched. P.S. Try the bacon wrapped dates stuffed with goat cheese - one of the best things I have ever eaten!

Delicious food and wonderful service!

Going with Gadabouts for catering was the best decision we made for our wedding in October! They were SO helpful throughout the entire 2 years worth of planning that went into our wedding. The communication was great, they answered all our questions through email quickly, and we had a lot haha! The staff there were so friendly! We did the tasting, rehearsal dinner, wedding night food and late night snacks with them. All of the food was exceptional and we got rave reviews from our friends and family about how great the food and service was. If we ever need anything catered again and we are in that area, we will certainly be using them again! Overall, wonderful experience!

Wonderful & delicious wedding catering

Catie and the whole team at Gadabouts were incredible for our wedding. First off, the food far surpassed our expectations. The menu had so many choices it was dizzying, but we were helpfully shepherded through the decision process and narrowed it down ahead of our tasting. Generally wedding food is just food, but during and after our wedding multiple guests commented to us about how incredible the food was. The service was fantastic too, all of the servers were lovely and Catie herself was so easy to work with even while we worked through multiple rescheduling during the height of Covid. You can tell that this family run company really cares about not just the food, but the experience they provide too! Thank you so much!

Everything was perfect!

Working with gadabouts was an absolute joy. Not only is their food phenomenal but they make the entire experience so special. From the tasting set up to all of the communication leading up to the wedding day there’s not one thing I would have wanted differently. Our guests continue to talk about how amazing the food was. The service during our event was awesome, everyone was extremely professional and efficient I never noticed one empty drink glass and our guest had plenty of food. I would highly recommend them for your event, we can’t say enough good things about our experience with them – Catie is amazing!!

Gadabouts is a team of wedding-making superstars!

We hired Gadabouts for our wedding catering, bar, and day-of-coordinator services. Eileen Gaddy and her team -- ALL of them -- were consummate professionals, eager to ensure all goes perfectly at every single step, and each person on their team had a wonderful personality!
I corresponded regularly with Eileen for many months prior to the wedding via email, and I was consistently blown away by how responsive, incredibly accommodating, and kind she was throughout the entire (stressful) process. To say that we found the coordinator/caterer of our dreams would be a drastic understatement; Eileen and Catie were an integral part of planning the greatest day of our lives, and we will be forever grateful for their help!
The food was also fantastic, the service was wonderful, and by the end of the night, the bartender and I had a legitimate friendship going on! Not to mention those dessert shooters... my goodness, those things were a hit. Gadabouts knows exactly how to ensure a perfect wedding, even when it's as untraditional as ours was in many ways. I could not recommend this group enough! Don't even hesitate!

Made Our Wedding Amazing

Catie and her crew were one of the best parts of our entire wedding. From the very first meeting for a tasting we were hooked! Our menu was incredible and even with the costs of everything rising, Gaddy’s kept our final price extremely reasonable and everything was amazing with so much attention to detail. We heard from so many guests that it was the best wedding food they had ever had! To highlight a few, we had the short rib, salmon, cheddar bacon mashed potatoes, and the fruit/cheese display was INSANE! Also, honorable mention to the phyllo tarts appetizer!

Catie took countless phone calls with me and became like a friend I’ve known for years instead of just my caterer. She was always pleasant and easy to come to with changes. During the reception dinner, if there was ever a problem, we never knew about it. Everything ran so seamlessly and their crew was like a well oiled machine and so pleasant.

We cannot wait to come back and try to do an anniversary meal! Thank you all again.

Outstanding food!

Gadabouts catered our micro-wedding at Overlook Barn and the food was excellent! They had a charcuterie board that was out of this world, with amazing cheeses, unique crackers/breads, fresh fruit, and different jams and spreads. Our guests went up for seconds, thirds, fourths...and we had to remind them that we had dinner coming :) Gadabouts was super flexible in planning our dream dinner and customized a BBQ pulled pork, mac 'n' cheese, and fried chicken spread for us. It was delicious and I was so happy we had some leftovers! They were also super thoughtful--they found out some of our guests were children and they added on some cupcakes with fun-colored frosting for the kids. They were a hit!

Still Raving

Amazing ladies and the food is pretty incredible too. Eileen Gaddy and her daughter Catie are fabulous people with a sense of humor that made them so down to earth, easy to talk to and work with throughout the wedding process. I found myself wanting to go hang out with them just to have a great laugh. Hiring a caterer for your daughter’s wedding is by far, in my opinion, one of the most important vendors to get spot on and hiring Gadabouts was a bullseye. Eileen helped us from the very beginning to establish a menu within our budget and meeting our many dietary restrictions (Lactosse free, gluten free, vegetarian, vegan). The contract with Gadabouts was so detailed (which I love) there was no room for miscommunication of expectations. Eileen even took time to review our equipment rental contract to help us make sure that we covered everything we may need for a beautifully presented and flawless service.
When my daughter and I went up to NC for a tasting, we were blown away by the seasoning and flavors that the chef put into every dish. No kidding, it was by far our favorite meal the whole time we were in the area. So much so that we ended up tweaking the menu to include grilled trout instead of chicken for a wedding with over 100 guests. Never in a million years would I have added grilled fish for that many people, the odds of getting every piece perfect is not in your favor, but Gadabouts did that and more. I know because our guests are still raving about the food.
I highly recommend hiring Gadabouts for any catering event. They are very accommodating; they provided a stress free professional service and setup for both our reception and bar. My only regret is not taking the time to chat with them after the wedding to let them know just how much we appreciated everything.

Can they please feed me for the rest of my life!

The food was absolutely the best wedding food I’ve ever had! And Catie made everything so easy especially with my super picky husband. There was a mixup during the clean up and my cake cutting set was packed up by their staff, I text Catie and she was able to find it and mail it back to me since we don’t live locally. She is honestly one of the sweetest people and goes above and beyond for all her customers

Amazing Vendor

If you are getting married in the high country, do your guests a favor and serve them some Gadabouts! The food is amazing, we had so many guests tell us it was the best chicken they've ever had. Not only was the dinner delicious, but the apps were also impressive - my husband was obsessed with the pork belly tacos, and I loved the chicken & waffle skewers. So just when you think it can't get any better, it does, because their customer service is next-level. We were a Covid couple, so regulations were changing every few weeks leading up to our date. Catie was so attentive to us, willing to jump on calls daily, and so quick to email back. We were making changes to our cocktail hour setup the week before, and it didn't even phase her. Catie, Eileen and team had everything set up perfectly on the wedding day, and we didn't have to worry about a thing. We would recommend Gadabouts to anyone, they will truly make your day so easy and perfect.

Best Choice!

Eileen, Catie and staff are amazing! Like many families, our daughter's wedding was rescheduled due to Covid. Eileen was positive, supportive and responsive throughout the whole process, and there were many changes and pivots along the way! As a mother of the bride, and this being our first wedding planning experience, I relied on Eileen's expertise and "don't worry, we've got this" attitude to get us through! We knew we were in the right hands with Gadabouts! The food was delicious, the staff was professional, warm and friendly, and our guests were well taken care of and all had an amazing time!
I am so grateful to Eileen and her staff for being patient and supportive and for helping to make Katharine and Damon's dream wedding a day they will always remember!

Best food and very flexible

Eileen was amazing to work with! With COVID we had to make a lot of changes and she rolled with every change so well. We had to cut the number of people for the reception a o after the ceremony a few had to leave and she made to go meals for those leaving. We had everything planned and had to readjust our plans and went from a buffet to family style but it was even more perfect than a buffet in my opinion. Everybody raved about the food. The appetizer tacos were amazing - they were even great about making us a plate of apps since we were running around taking photos. My husband is a collard greens snob and said they were the best he’s ever had :) It was a magical day thanks to Eileen and her team! I HIGHLY recommend using them for any type of event. We’ll be coming back to Banner elk for her bbq, tacos and collards very soon!

Gadabouts and Eileen are a sheet joy!

Gadabouts Catering has truly exceptional food and was wonderful to work with! We got to do tastings that were so much fun and helped us build our wedding menu. Eileen is just a sheer joy! She and her staff have a wealth of catering knowledge and communicated so efficiently. Planning a wedding is stressful and Eileen’s calming nature made the catering planning fun and easy. Our guests could not stop talking about how delicious and well presented the food was! We had around 200 guests and everyone was beyond pleased! From the stunning cheese, fruit, and bread display, to the passed hors d’oeuvres, to our buffet style dinner with carving stations, everything was truly perfect. We cannot thank Eileen and the Gadabouts staff enough for their support and making our guests and us so happy.

On October 12th, we had our dream mountain wedding! After reviewing numerous caterers we knew we hit the jackpot when we contacted Eileen. The possibilities with her menu are endless! We were so pleased with her attention to detail, prompt communication and cateirng knowledge. She is something else... The wedding dishes we chose were absolutely delicious and our guests are still talking about them. The catering team's service was exceptional! Seriously, do not look further! Gadabouts is it!!!

Eileen was amazing! Not only did she deliver delicious food for both our wedding AND rehearsal but she was super attentive and easy to work with. Her response time is impeccable which helps calm down an anxious bride when juggling several vendors at once! The Best Caterer to Ever Exist

I would give Gadabouts 25/10 stars if I could. I cannot say enough amazing things about working with Eileen from day 1 down to the incredible food she made. From the second I originally emailed her, she was SO easy to work with. She has done her fair share of weddings and had great advice and tips for me. She went above and beyond and answered all of my many and silly questions. We were able to go up to Banner Elk prior to our wedding for a tasting and were blown away with Eileen and her staff. Eileen assisted with how much alcohol to buy, napkin colors and folding, food selection, etc. On the wedding day, her staff showed up on time and were so professional. Her daughter was one of the bar tenders and did an incredible job!
We selected the favorites fare and the food was to die for. Normally, wedding chicken is dried out and no one eats it, but not Gadabouts! All of my guests are still raving about the food- the waffle skewers, the cheese arrangement, the chicken, the pork, and can’t forget the SMASHED POTATOES!! Guests were actually getting platefuls of the potatoes. I would highly recommend Gadabouts for any bride getting married in the high country area. I am still in awe of how wonderful everything turned out!

Eileen, owner of Gadabouts, was one of my favorite people to work with leading up to my wedding. I actually put my fiancé (now husband) in charge of wedding food and was super skeptical that he could pull it off (LOL). Eileen was so great about suggesting certain foods and how to communicate with our venue.
Our favorite food was actually the hors d'oeuvres! We did the Ashe County cheese table & our guests LOVED it.
Service was top notch. If you are getting married in the NC mountains you should seriously consider hiring Gadabouts! My best friend is using them for her wedding next year and I couldn't be more excited. Yum!

Perfect Southern/Tex-Mex Buffet

Eileen and team catered my wedding last Friday (September 21st) and also was our Day Of Coordinator. I don’t even know where to begin...Eileen went above and beyond from the first correspondence until they shut down the wedding night. She has a calming confident energy that I connected to right off the bat and knew she was the one we wanted to work with. She made me feel so at ease throughout the entire process, no question or change in plans was too much or an annoyance for Eileen. She was quick to communicate to every email or call and made sure everything was exactly how we envisioned. I have never heard so many compliments about wedding food, and we have attended a lot of weddings...everything was beyond delicious!! Eileen Gaddy with Gadabouts catering is the BEST! She was so helpful! She always answered my e-mails promptly with detailed answers. She is very organized! You don’t find many organized people like Eileen Gaddy anymore. Not only is Gadabouts food delicious but Eileen also can be hired for day of or month of coordinating. If you can do it hire Eileen for the month of coordinating. She knows the other vendors up there and will coordinate when and what time they need to be at your event. She’s very detailed oriented and I didn’t have to worry about anything with her. She gets it done! She took a lot of worry off of me while planning my daughters wedding. Eileen was AMAZING. She was both my day of coordinator and my caterer. Her food is amazing. Every guest at my wedding was so pleased. She was very accommodating and provided vegan and vegetarian meals for those guests at my wedding. We met with Eileen multiple times and she was always patient, kind, and ready to answer all of our questions. She ran the show at my wedding and did a fantastic job! I cannot tell you how good her food is and how we loved all the choices at our tasting, it was hard to pick. She hired someone to coordinate our ceremony and she coordinated our reception. Everything went smoothly and both my husband and I could tell she would really go out of the way for us and make our day so special. Thank you, Eileen! 10/10 would recommend.

Eileen is seriously an angel. We changed our preferences and vision of the catering for our wedding many times, as well as our budget regarding catering. Even after I signed two separate contracts, Eileen was always so quick to respond and accommodating when I wanted to make even more changes! She never once made me feel like I was a bother, always told me she was happy to help and was so patient. Eileen and her staff are incredible people to work with! From the moment we contacted Eileen, she began working for us. She let us know that the Grandfather Mountain Highland Games were the same weekend as our wedding so we could tell our guests to go ahead and book rooms. Planning from a distance with Eileen was a breeze and she found a way to get everything we wanted within our budget. The food was the best food I've ever had. Guests absolutely raved about it. Instead of wedding cake, we wanted cheesecake and gadabouts supplied those as well. That cheesecake was to die for. I highly recommend including it as a dessert option or going with only cheesecakes like we did. They have tons of different flavors they can make. Some reviews mention negative experiences with staff, but we saw none of those issues. All the staff was polite, quick, and helpful. The manager even offered to take some vases back to our florist for us! They were all dressed appropriately and moved around like ninjas cleaning up dishes and making sure everything was perfect. There was no point in time where we regretted hiring Gadabouts for our wedding. We can't thank them enough for helping to make the day perfect!

Eileen and her staff were amazing from start to finish!!! The bride was Persian and the groom Swedish so we (the wedding planners; mothers of bride and groom:) had a lot of very unique requests;
including homemade Swedish limpa bread, hasselback potatoes, and an array of Persian dishes (sorry I cannot spell them) Eileen did her research and the food was splendid...even had someone on site grilling shish kabob. Eileen Gaddy (owner) was very helpful from the beginning to the end. She worked with us on the budget we needed to be with and still gave us exceptional quality and service at the reception. Eileen is also a wedding planner, so if your venue requires a wedding planner, I would recommend her as well! Her staff were wonderful to work with and always willing to help. We had a glitch at first and could not find the boutonniere's for the groomsmen, so one of her staff members jumped on it and within minutes had one already made!! We did find ours before the wedding but this just shows they go well beyond their requirements to make your day special.

I recently had my wedding at the Twickenham House in Jefferson, NC and used Gadabouts for my catering. They were absolutely amazing! I worked with Eileen and she was very organized and on top of everything. I have worked in the hospitality industry for almost 10 years now planning weddings, meetings and events. I travel all over the world and have eaten hotel food and catered food more in one year than most people will in their entire life! And I can say from my experience that Gadabouts is truly amazing! From the preplanning to the service, to the new and inventive ideas for food (mashed potato bar, s'more's station), to the onsite execution, they were spot on. Because I am in the industry, I knew exactly what I wanted for my wedding and Gadabouts delivered. Not to mention every single one of my guests mentioned how delicious the food was. I saw guests making entire plates of just mashed potatos from the mashed potato bar to coming up to my sweetheart table to rave about how good the prime rib was. In addition to the dinner, the cocktail hour hors d'oeuvres were small bites (the new trend), exactly what I had envisioned, and delicious as well. I would highly recommend using Gadabouts for your next event, corporate meeting, birthday party, and especially your wedding! I went over the top with my wedding and Gadabouts helped make my vision come true! It was the best day of my life and my guests cannot stop talking about it or the food!

Eileen with Gadabouts Catering went the extra mile to provide my daughter with the most incredible meal at her reception. Even though the venue did not have the Caterer's kitchen available for the reception, Gadabouts set up a tent outside and still provided the most wonderful prime rib meal. From the time we first met with Eileen, she was always professional and so helpful. She always got back to us in a timely manner and most of the time she got in touch with us first about different things. She was a joy to work with. The reception meal was wonderful. Everyone commented on how good the food was. The service was wonderful too. I was able to just relax and enjoy my daughter's wedding reception. I would definitely recommend Eileen and Gadabouts to anyone!

We were so fortunate to have found Eileen after going through a couple of different vendors. She went above and beyond in helping us make decisions, etc. especially since we were on a budget. She always had time for us, returned our calls or emails promptly. Our reception was great, our guests are still talking about how much they enjoyed it. I loved it, we had the best time. I would definitely recommend her to anyone that is having a reception or special event.

Eileen did a great job with the catering for our wedding! Everything was delicious!! We had several people with food restrictions and she worked with us to make sure there was something for everyone. The catering staff was all in the background...which is exactly what we wanted! We got several complements about the food and the service. We'd definitely recommend Gadabouts!

Amazing hors d'oeuvres and crowd-pleasing buffet, excellent service

Gadabouts was just what we were looking for in a catering team. Catie, our contact, was reliably responsive and kept track of our wish list in the midst of LOTS of back and forth emails and a busy wedding season. She was very patient with us as we asked plenty of questions and made some big last minute changes to our bar package.

Service was excellent as well - all of our guests got drinks, hors d'oeuvres, and dinner from the buffet stations in a timely fashion. Rave reviews on the food, too!

Food costs are up this year in general, r/t inflation, so I gave 4 stars for value but am not sure how much of the pricing was related to food costs vs. Gadabouts. We spent about $5k for 65 people, including passed hors d'oeuvres, a plated salad, and buffet stations with a meat carving station, plus bartending services. We brought our own alcohol to cut costs.

They helped accommodate our vegetarian guests and also helped arrange cupcakes that we brought from an outside vendor.
Overall, this hit the mark!

Delicious food!

We loved Gadabouts! Eileen and Alex were so great to work with. The tasting was amazing and sold us on the salmon and pork for our wedding. We heard amazing feedback from some of our guests- "The best wedding food I've ever had!" I highly recommend them! Their staff was also so friendly during the wedding.

Gadabouts catered my wedding on September 1st, and we couldn't have been more thrilled. Food was one of the most important parts of the wedding for us, and Eileen was willing to work with us to create an amazing menu that was within our budget. We knew the food would be good based on our tasting, but it was even better on the day of the wedding! All of our guests raved about their meals! I would 100% recommend Gadabouts to anyone looking to cater an event in this area.

Overall the food and service were great. Gadabouts catered and served our reception dinner and provided a farewell breakfast. Eileen was easy to work with and provided helpful tips. I was slightly disappointed in the Country Ham we chose for dinner but the Fried Chicken, side dishes, and breakfast items were all fantastic.

Gadabouts catering was excellent for our wedding. We had some interesting demands, and they were very flexible about meeting our needs. We had a pig-pickin' with a barbecue fountain and a chocolate fountain for dessert. Gadabouts worked with us to settle on a very reasonable price for everything and provided outstanding service at both our reception and rehearsal dinner. Thank you, Gadabouts!

Gadabouts did a fantastic job helping us plan our food for 150 people on a budget. Eileen was very friendly and helpful. The food was good and the staff was helpful and friendly.

Average tasting food that looks good

We used gadabouts for our wedding in October 2022 and they were simply ok. We had a tasting in March 2022 and didn't have such a great experience and wanted to change some of the items we were served, for example, our chicken was dry and bland. We asked for a second tasting, but they only do tastings in their "slow season," which stopped in March. We were a little upset by this, we would've done a tasting on Monday morning if we could have. However, we already signed a contract and they had such great reviews so we decided to change a couple of the items we knew we didn't like and hope for the best. The food on the day of our wedding was simply average. Nothing was seasoned well, the corn tasted fresh out of the can, and we were served dry chicken again. Maybe our wedding was just during one of their busier times and we didn't get the best product. The owners are very nice and accommodating and they have a large selection (which is maybe why their food isn't all that great), but just an average wedding meal.

The food was delicious. The service was okay. Employees weren't super friendly or always willing to help. They provided the linens for my wedding day and they arrived wrinkled--almost all of them were wrinkled. Some of the linens had stains. Food was GREAT but DO NOT rent their linens.

The Worst Experience Ever!

Not sure where to begin with my review. I have to share that overall I was so disappointed with the quality of what I got and the level of service provided. I used Gadabouts for my wedding in October 2020.

The food was cold when served. We only had 20 guest seated across three tables. The first table was completely finished with their food before the third table even got their food. The wait staff was non existent. My guest had to get up and go to the bar to get refills of soda and water. The bartender was observed often sitting behind the bar on a cooler which left some to wonder if she was even in the bar as she couldn't be seen.

The servers only came out of the kitchen to serve food and clear plates. It took over 45 mins between salad and entree to be served. I made the mistake of giving an envelope with a large tip in advance to my coordinator for the catering staff and bartender. If I could go back in time I would not have left a single cent.

The biscuits crumbled when you attempted to place butter on them. For 20 people, my dinner included 2 passed appetizers, a salad, bread/biscuits, and a choice of one of two proteins (Stuffed Chicken or Tenderloin). There was no alcohol included or dessert and we spent $200 a person. That does not include the $800 in rental fees for linen, glassware, flatware and china.

In my opinion, I would start your search elsewhere! I wouldn't recommended them for any event large or small. Think about how much they messed up a 20 person wedding. Can you imagine what they would do to a 100 person event!
