Absolutely the best experience for our daughter's wedding!

Pam & her team were absolutely amazing! From our very first meet-and-greet through the wedding day itself, she made the entire catering experience seamless and stress-free! You can tell she truly knows the wedding industry-what works, what details matter, and how to make everything come together beautifully.

One of the things that meant the most to us was how attentive Pam was throughout the wedding. She was constantly checking in on both me and my husband, making sure we had everything we needed and that our expectations were being met. It allowed us to relax and truly enjoy the day.

The food was absolutely delicious, the staff was professional and wonderful to work with, and they truly thought of everything. Every detail felt intentional and well-executed.

We could not have asked for a better experience and highly recommend Pam and her team to anyone planning a wedding!

Working with Pam and her Funky Fresh Team was literally the highlight of my wedding.

If you are looking for a caterer, hire Pam immediately and thank me later! From the very first phone call I knew Funky Fresh was going to be my wedding caterer. Working with Pam was an absolute joy and I cannot say enough great things about her. Not only was all the food delicious, but she went out of her way to take care of me and my husband as well as our parents. The amount of compliments I have received about Pam and her work is incredible, and she deserves every bit of it. Pam went above and beyond to make my wedding day incredible and it absolutely showed. Absolutely Phenomenal Catering Experience!

Y'ALL NEED TO HIRE FUNKY FRESH!!!!!

Pam and her team were an absolute dream to work with for our Duke Law Family Weekend event! From start to finish, she went above and beyond to accommodate our needs, ensuring everything was seamless and stress-free for us students. Not only was she incredibly generous, but her kindness and professionalism made the entire process a joy. Even the venue itself was impressed by her work and kindness.

And the food—WOW! The grazing tables she made were beautifully presented and absolutely delicious. We love how she mixed sweet and savory elements throughout different parts of the tables and it looked stunning. Our guests devoured everything, and we received so many compliments throughout the event. We requested some heartier food and the meatballs and shrimp cocktail she included separate from the grazing tables were SO GOOD!!!

If you're looking for a caterer who truly cares, delivers incredible food, and goes the extra mile, look no further than Pam. We can't thank her enough for making our event such a success and we cannot wait to work with her again in the future! Cannot recommend her more for school events, work events, weddings, graduation parties, or literally any event where you need fun, delicious, and beautiful food!

Funky Fresh is the Best!

Working with Pam, the owner of Funky Fresh Catering, was a wonderful experience. We had a brunch wedding and Pam's team did an excellent job with everything! The chicken and waffles were delicious, the appetizers were beautifully presented and tasty, and the fresh-made donuts were a hit! I could tell the fruit was fresh cut. It had excellent favor and all items used were in season fruits. She also set up a coffee bar for us which was a hit and was presented so well! Aside from the excellent food, Pam was a joy to work with from the beginning. She is up front about her pricing and there were no "hidden fees" that you sometimes run into with caterers. She was easy to communicate with and excellent to work with. She was able to help me build an wonderful and personalized menu within my budget. She helped connect me with a vendor for rentals when a previous one fell through a month before her wedding. Pam was sweet enough to even offer to let me use some of her stuff for free when I was worried we wouldn't find someone in time! I have one more brag on Pam - we got unexpected rain the morning of our wedding. Our cocktail hour was supposed to be outside, but Pam helped everyone to pivot and arrange things so that cocktail hour could be shifted inside at the last minute. I am so impressed by Pam and her awesome team!!

I can not recommend Funky Fresh enough. Not only is their food AMAZING, they are creative with their menu options and truly listen to your wants and needs. I had some eclectic requests to satiate a diverse range of pallets and she hit the nail on the head. My guests won't stop raving about the pork tenderloin. We used FF for passed appetizers, dinner, signature cocktail and wine and beer. Pam was so accommodating and truly treated us like a friend who she wanted to ensure had the best night ever, rather than just another client transaction. You will not regret booking Funky Fresh - from their warm personalities, huge hearts and incredible knack for creating incredible menus and food, they are the best of the best!

Simply Amazing!

We loved working with Funky Fresh. Pam and John Oliver were warm and friendly and welcoming from our very first phone call, and gave us great advice on wedding planning/managing the day! They were really open and excited on finding creative menu options to meet my husband's vegan diet while also finding delicious food for our non-vegan guests. We had several guests tell us they are now barbecue converts! They even made my husband a vegan dessert option without us even mentioning it, which was such a lovely surprise. We had their donuts as a late night snack, and they were so delicious, our guests are still talking about them. We also used their bar services, and our signature cocktails were so delicious, and the bar menu was great, and personalized to our interest in having some local beer options, a non-alcoholic beer option for some guests, and delicious wine and champagne for toasts.
It's not often you meet people who are so kind and generous with their energy and time, and you can tell their food is cooked with love! They returned every email, text, and call within moments, and made planning a wedding easy. I will refer them to everyone I know for any kind of catered event, because their just that wonderful.

Funky Fresh is Fenomenal

Pam and the rest of the crew at Funky Fresh were phenomenal to work with. We hired them before COVID and they stuck with us through 2 date changes. Pam was so flexible, generous, professional and personable. By the end, it truly felt like we were all part of one big family. Day of the event went so smoothly. Pam and her team were punctual and efficient. All of our guests drooled over our Carolina-California cuisine, and the drinks were strong and delicious. Don't walk, run, towards Funky Fresh, they won't disappoint you!

Highly Recommend!

Highly recommend! Pam was so wonderful to work with and very accommodating with all of our special requests. The big question though is how was the food....it was amazing! All of our guests raved about how much they enjoyed the appetizers and the main meal. And the staff was extremely friendly, attentive, and professional. I've already recommended Funky Fresh to multiple friends getting married and if you're looking, you should definitely set up a tasting!

Absolutely Perfect

We cannot say enough good things about Funky Fresh. Pam was an absolute joy to work with from start to finish. The tasting was outstanding, and the food at the actual event lived up to the standard of food we had at the tasting. They were flexible, respectful of our budget, generous, and incredibly professional. We felt like they really cared about us and took care of us every step of the way - we knew we had absolutely nothing to worry about by the time wedding day came.

John Oliver is an extremely talented chef and has a unique, creative vision that he executes with class and style. I truly cannot believe the quality of the food that they served to hundreds of people. The quantity was generous, and the taste was exceptional. We had a vision of a charcuterie board and sent them pictures for inspiration - Funky Fresh put together exactly what we had in mind and blew our guests away.

We got compliments ALL night!

Pam, John Oliver, and their team are the best - hands down. They were incredibly flexible with rescheduling due to covid, and they truly care about your event. They came up with a custom menu for our wedding that perfectly reflected us and our favorite foods. On the day of the wedding, Pam made sure that my husband and I were fed a FULL meal before we went around to mingle with guests. Their staff was professional and efficient - the buffet line moved SO quickly! We got compliments ALL night, and weeks after people were still talking about how amazing the food was. The morning after our wedding, I woke up to realize that our fridge was FULL of leftovers that they had saved for us. That was so special and such a treat. They had every detailed covered from start to finish, and I couldn't imagine using anybody else for our big day!

Wonderful caterer!

After we met Pam and John at our tasting, we couldn’t imagine hiring anyone else to cater our wedding. They were genuine, thoughtful, and went above and beyond to accommodate a good number of children and guests who had dietary restrictions. Plus the food was delicious, and we enjoyed the leftovers for several days afterward! They were by far our favorite vendor, and I wouldn’t hesitate to work with them again!

Wonderful service and delicious food

We had 2 weddings in one day with Funky Fresh as the caterer for both. Our was the morning wedding. Pam from Funky Fresh worked with us to customize out brunch menu and was always easy to contact. Pam and John not only provided excellent food, the overall management and coordination from start to finish was phenomenal. Amazing Food!!

Once we met Pam and John... We absolutely knew they were the Catering Company for our daughter’s wedding!! They made us feel so at home and comfortable. Down to Earth, flexible scheduling, delicious food choices and they listened to what Leslie and Bryan wanted. Southern comfort food it was...the cornbread could have been the dessert!! Funky Fresh is awesome! You won't regret it!

One of my friends recommended Funky Fresh and I decided to go for it because I had nothing to lose. Within 10 mins if that, Pam called me to schedule a meet time and I just knew this was going in the right direction. We met the next day for lunch and I just loved Pam! She is so kind and caring! We stayed in touch until the menu was right, and if I had any questions Pam was always a call or txt away with my answers. We had a tasting at their house and it was delicious! You can't go wrong with any menu choice, because John is an awesome chef. We had Tacos and I've never had any tacos like this before! John and Pam are awesome people to work with, I promise you won't regret it!

Professional with personality

Pam and team are SUPERSTARS and are truly invested in the success of the day. Chef John is a thoughtful culinary genius. My venue was outdoors and their mobile food truck was PERFECT for what we needed. All of the contact pre-wedding was pleasant and extremely flexible. Day of was very professional, all food beautifully plated and hot and ON TIME! Food was amazing - my guests RAVED about everything from the tacos to the fish/steak all the way to the pimento cheese. Pam and John Oliver and team are 100% reliable, professional, thoughtful, prepared ... and the food is to die for! I don’t think I can give justice to Pam and Funky Fresh with just words. Pam invited us into her home for our tasting and from then on we knew we would be treated just like family. The amount of food was amazing and everything tasted better than I remembered. We didn’t do cake, but had apple crisp for dessert; people had seconds, thirds, and even fourths! I can’t recommend them enough!

Amazing people and amazing food!

We hired Funky Fresh to cater our wedding after they were recommended to us by our wedding planner and we are so glad we did! After our first tasting it was evident that the food was outstanding and Pam and John Oliver were absolutely delightful! We even stuck around after the tasting was over to chat with Pam and John Oliver and my fiance and I left feeling like we had been hanging out with friends rather than trying out a wedding vendor. Pam was very accommodating when I changed my mind about the menu multiple times and she went above and beyond to make sure everything was exactly how we wanted it. The presentation at our wedding for cocktail our and the reception was fabulous and I can't even begin to count how many people told us how wonderful the food was or asked us (at the wedding and for weeks after) who our caterer was. The food and service with Funky Fresh is amazing and I would hire them again in a heartbeat!

Best caterer in north carolina! Truly amaing experience.

Funky really is the best caterer in North Carolina! We will never use anyone else again for any event! Funky catered our 300 person, black tie wedding reception in June of 2019, and every detail was perfect thanks to them! I cannot say enough good things about Funky Fresh. They truly made our wedding reception incredible and unique! Pam and John Oliver were so incredibly easy to work with (and fun!) - they became our friends and our advocates through the wedding process. Best Ever!

Pam and John and Funky Fresh were amazing. The food was outstanding! They were so easy to work with and the value was incredible. We did a tasting with them for our daughter's wedding and then on the ride home, we canceled our remaining tastings and booked them! I can't imagine anyone meeting them and not hiring them. Everyone raved about the food at the wedding. They tailored it to meet our love of spice (but not too much), served large portions, presented it beautifully and were so, so sweet about everything. Their staff was great as well - everything went so smoothly! We even had them do our bridal brunch - couldn't resist as it was so much better than a restaurant! You are missing out if you need caterer and don't call Funky Fresh!

Funky Fresh, Crazy Good

Pam and the Funky Fresh team were an absolute joy to work with. They were super flexible and worked with us to craft a specialized menu for our wedding. The guests were raving about the food all night! The tacos were exceptional, and I had multiple guests independently tell me that the short ribs were "the best piece of meat I've ever tasted." You can really tell that they have a passion for cooking delicious food at Funky Fresh and that passion makes them stand out from the competition. You cannot go wrong with Funky Fresh!

Blown away with their Authenticity

Pam and John Oliver did our tasting tonight for our wedding menu. I cannot even describe how kind and genuine they were. We are choosing to partner with Funky Fresh because THEY CARE! Pam was so personable, going through every detail, making sure we have everything we want that fits within our budget. John Oliver made a mean apple pork loin and shrimp and grits away that sealed the deal for our eastern NC wedding menu! I am beyond excited to work with Funky Fresh.... if our wedding tasting was this awesome, I can’t even imagine how fabulous our wedding day meal will be!

Simply Perfect

We had an amazing reception. The food displays were beautiful and the quality of the food served was excellent; guests are still talking about the food options and flavor!
Working with Funk Fresh to create a plan for our event was so easy, they worked with our vision, our budget and our desire to use environmentally-friendly dinnerware, without taking away from this being a formal event. Outstanding, above and beyond, acted like family!

Pam, John, and the whole team were so helpful and accommodating! They were always available via email/text to answer any question or solve any problem I had! By the end of the event, I was sad to see them go as they had seriously become family. The food... was DELIICIOUS! A lot of my guests were staring at the chicken, expecting it to be yet another over baked chicken, but as soon as they took their first bite, all were in love with it. The passion and love Pam and John have truly shined through in their food. I would recommend to anyone 11 out of 10 times! Wonderful!

Pam and John made the process from beginning to end amazing. They even had us over their house for the initial food tasting! They are a fun and down to earth couple who aimed to meet all of our expectations when it came to catering our wedding on April 13, 2019. They didn’t just meet our expectations- they exceeded them! Our wedding day was perfect because of them. Everyone raved over John’s steak and fish entrees. Pam ran around and made sure we were never without food or drinks. All of our guests commented on how nice and professional the entire catering staff was. Having Funky Fresh not only provide the food but also alcohol was super convenient. Seriously impressive

Pam and the whole Funky Fresh team did an amazingly impressive job at our wedding. The food and service were outstanding, but what really set them apart for me was the time and effort Pam spent with us before the big day making sure everything was exactly what we wanted. She worked with our budget the whole way, even pricing out services from other vendors to make sure we had a comprehensive list of everything we needed. She was versatile with the menu, making sure we knew they could accommodate our wishes. I'm still hearing from our guests about how good the food was. Funky Fresh has my complete endorsement and then some.

Best decision ever!

When we first met Pam and John for the food tasting, we were blown away by the experience they provided us. We knew immediately they were going to be catering our wedding!! BEST in the wedding buisness & MY best Decision!

My wedding was MADE by Funky Fresh! These are just flat out awesome people as well as AMAZING food and rentals. They did our food for the rehearsal dinner and the reception and did all of our rentals from tables, chairs, tents to linens and lights and so much more. Pam and Jon were the most helpful whenever it came to planning my wedding and helping me make my dreams come to life. As a bride I know I am picky and I was stressing out about every little detail, Pam made me sit down with her and she took so much on for my wedding, I was blown away at everything she took the time to do. If it were not for Pam I probably would of gone into bride-zilla mode. Every picture I would show her on pinterest she would make happen, if she didn't have the stuff to do then she found it. Hands down best communication as well, having and building a relationship with your vendors is what it is all about and the communication I had with Pam and Jon was remarkable. It was just a good feeling to be comfortable knowing I could pick a phone up and call or text someone if I had a quick question about something. Having that "one on one" communication (rather than like some vendors only communicating through email) is really KEY when your planning a wedding, it makes life for a bride so much EASIER . They put their heart into everything for our wedding. I still have people calling me and talking about how amazing our food was at the wedding, people wanting to know where they are from.. well this is the AMAZING food we had. The food was not only so good but it was so PRETTY as well! They just have this special touch that makes everything great. Trust their opinions and I promise they will not disappoint. Seriously I cannot rave enough about Funky Fresh, you will NOT be disappointed. They were the BEST decision that I could have ever made for my wedding. I could seriously sit here and talk all day about how wonderful they are, so please give them a call and find out yourself. If you want a wedding that literally every taste of food is delicious and a worry free organization call Funky Fresh! Let them invite you to dinner and they will show you all the amazing things that they have to offer!

More than just a caterer!

Funky Fresh did amazing for our wedding! They had us over for a wonderful sit-down tasting in their beautiful home and helped us finalize a menu specifically for our taste and style. The food for our wedding was AMAZING and our guests raved about it! The staff was very helpful from everything to setup of the event to making sure we (bride and groom) had everything we needed. They even hand-delivered plates of food to us to make sure we were getting fed during our reception. Pam and John are amazing to work with and will make you feel special on your day!! We would recommend them to anyone! They are truly more than just a caterer, they made it an experience!

Yes to funky fresh

Whoever came up with the 5 star system has never seen FUNKY FRESH with their 20 star food, and service. At the tasting I was thinking they can't have this quality and presentation for 300 people, and they proved me wrong..
There ideas of how to make it all flow, so everybody was enjoying everything at the same time was unreal.

Great food, great service, great people!

Working with Pam was so easy! I explained what we needed, gave her our budget and a few dishes we really wanted included....and she came up with the PERFECT menu for our occasion. She made it so stress free for me, which made it an even better experience. The setup was amazing! The food was amazing! The best food ever

I absolutely rate Funky Fresh 5 stars! They were the most wonderful people to work with from start to finish. We used Funky Fresh to cater our wedding and not only was the food amazing but the staff was as well. They always treated us more likes family than like customers and really seemed to care for what they are doing. I never felt like I was making a business plan with them! My husband and I are so lucky to have found them to cater our wedding. Everyone loved the food and was talking about it for quite a few days. Another bonus... they are very affordable and Pam was ALWAYS available for any question that I had. Seriously the best to have at your wedding because they make it stress free and delicious.

Pam and John were wonderful to work with. They catered my cousins wedding at a beach house in North Topsail for 50 or so guests. The food was incredible - the brisket tacos were gone before I even had a chance to try one! Everything they prepared was delicious, hot, and served with a smile. All of our guests loved each bite and we had a lot left over for late night snacking. We were having so much fun we failed to take any photos but trust me, it looked great too.

We also utilized their bar services and really enjoyed the bartender - he had a great personality and made a good drink.

I highly recommend Funky Fresh for your next event, big or small!

Couldn't have been more pleased! Besides being extremely easy to work with, Pam and John Oliver did an absolutely fantastic job catering our daughter's wedding. EVERYONE, not an overstatement, commented on the delicious food!!
Using the small plates, which they recommended, was the way to go. There was never a line and everything went smoothly from the awesome appetizers till the end of the night. Simply LOVED the ice cream served in vintage china cups! Having the reception at home, they also assisted with set up and decorating! I highly recommend using Funky Fresh for any event!! Great couple!

John and Pam were a BLAST to work with. They took any stress that food selection could cause and wiped it right away. The vintage china that they have fit perfectly into what we wanted our wedding to feel like. The food they cooked or us to taste before and the food they prepared for the reception was fresh and fun. Many guest commented on how they twist they put on foods turned it into something so delicious and special. we had tacos, Bloody Mary shrimp and grits (SOUTHERN FAVORITE), a small salad served in wine glasses and other items that we and our guest loved. They were amazing throughout the whole process and we would use them again in a heartbeat.

Funky Fresh did our Wedding on April 14th, 2018 and did both our Rehearsal dinner and Wedding. We got some many compliments on the Food and everyone from Vegetarian to picky eaters were happy. They did Salad, Ribeye Steak, Baked Potato Bar, and Green Beans, Dessert for the Rehearsal. For the Wedding, they did a Seafood Station, Taco Bar, and Potato Skin Bar, along with appetizers before hand. They were the 1st people we talked too for options to cater our wedding and from our 1st contact I knew we found a gem. From day one they we on top of any questions or concerns we had all the way up until the day of the wedding. I can not describe how good the food was and if your looking for catering around Wilmington and Topsail you will not be disappointed.

My husband and I hired Funky Fresh to caterer our daughter’s wedding at Shady Wagon in New Hope, NC. We were a bit nervous hiring a caterer because we are not from NC, and we have never attending a function in NC that was catered. Shady Wagon provided a list of caterers and we proceeded to reach out to all of them. We chose Funky Fresh because they seemed to be more in tune with the type of menu our daughter desired. Our daughter wanted a Southern BBQ type menu while we felt a more traditional menu was in order. Pam from Funky Fresh guided us throughout the entire process and was skilled in creating a menu that perfectly married the North with the South. From our initial contact to our goodbyes at the end of the reception, Pam from Funky Fresh was one of the most personable, accommodating and professional people I have ever met. She worked alongside her incredibly efficient staff, never resting on their laurels once both before and during the reception. They made sure all our guest’s needs were met from our cocktail hour with hors d’oeuvres, to dinner and even the late night snack. Both my husband and I did not have to worry about anything because of the outstanding job Pam and her staff did. Our guest commented several times during and after the reception how wonderfully delicious the food was. I could not be happier nor can I adequately recommend Funky Fresh enough! Pam and her entire staff were exemplary and great to work with from start to finish.

Just let me say BOOK Funky Fresh Food Truck NOW ! There are not enough words to describe how delicious the food was we started cocktail hour with shrimp and grits ( I need the recipe) veggie and cheese display (not just a tray) . For dinner we chose Cesar salad which was served at the table with sweet potato biscuits and cornbread butter and cheese spreads then on the buffet we had braised beef short ribs ( my mouth is still watering) , marinated grilled chicken breast (juicy not dry a bit) string beans, mashed potatoes and vegetable medley all the food was kept hot even to the last one served ! Oh the desserts were to die for lemon bars, pies and tarts ! The food was superbly displayed and the service was top notch never and empty buffet item and the tables were cleared quickly (almost stealth like) ! John Oliver and Pam are the best to work with they went ABOVE AND BEYOND what you would expect from a catering company and they become like family ! They help with details that you may not even think about. I never heard a unfavorable word from anyone about the food, the presentation of the food or the service ! Admittedly, we have not yet had our event but I wanted to share our experience thus far. My fiancee and I are beyond excited to be working with Pam and John (the only team members we have met so far) for our wedding foodie needs. Pam and John were recommended to us by our venue and boy are we grateful for that recommendation. We met with them and didn't need to meet with or even contact a single other caterer. These guys are AWESOME!

The first thing that impressed me was how friendly, responsive, and helpful Pam was via email with her communications. Even in the very early stages she was a wealth of answers and information. They sent us a sample of some of the menus that they can provide but really emphasized that they are all about making the food fit the needs of the couple and the wedding. Boy are they serious!

We then had a great planning meeting where no food request was off limits. John and Pam started by figuring out what food we liked and wanted to have at our wedding. We have ended up with the most amazingly perfect menu hitting all of our favorite foods but also covering what will appeal to our guests and general needs. Who wants bacon mac n cheese, shrimp and grits, southern style green beans, a southern style biscuit bar, crab cakes, and so much more? WE DO and Funky Fresh Food Truck is making it happen!

They are also spectacular about thinking about the "other" things. We have coordinated on plates, glasses, how the tables will look, how we want to get the guests served, setup plans at the venue, colors/decorations, and every other little detail. Every step where there was a decision they had information and advice but genuinely wanted us to make a decision that fit us. Somehow Pam and John make it all seem so easy while making it all so perfectly right.

I will of course update once the big day actually rolls around so I can rave about the fantastic food but I wanted to share our experience so far.

The vendor responded immediately to every question. The waiters were very pleasant and did whatever I requested. The contract was very professional but they were flexible when we asked for a different option. The food was delicious and the cleanup disappeared!

Funky Fresh catered our school's annual fundraising event which I helped organize this year. I have worked on many events over the years, and I give them my very highest rating. They bring creativity, flexibility and a wealth of knowledge and experience to catering. They consulted us on every aspect of the party and had great ideas. They took our thoughts on what to do and helped shape that into something that worked. They thought of every detail from theme appropriate bamboo plates they found for us, serving dishes that looked like they were purchased for the event, to an extra surprise dessert at they added for fun. Did I mention the food was amazing? Everyone is still talking about how good everything tasted and looked. I would definitely use Pam and John again. Working with them makes throwing a party easy and fun!!!

Pam and John and their crew were outstanding! They helped us from the very beginning put together a tremendous menu and went out of their way to do this as we were living in India trying to get this wedding planned. Their flexibility, professionalism, great attitudes, and delicious food made planning this wedding fun! Most importantly, the bride and groom were so very happy!!

We LOVE Pam, John, & Eric from Funky Fresh! We have met with them multiple times and had a FANTASTIC tasting as well. There was no question that we had to hire them, and with their amazing all-inclusive prices, they don't nickel-and-dime you for every little thing! Paying one price for the quality of service and products they provide is a steal, and selecting them as our caterers may be the best decision we have made yet. We could not be more excited to work with them this next year and feel confident that we will be well taken care of for both our rehearsal dinner & reception dinner! FUNKY FRESH IS THE BEST!

This exceeded our expectations of a catering company. Pam goes way beyond the normal. The food was very good. The taste, temperature and presentation of all the food was beyond good. We had approximately 80 guests, and during the evening we heard many raving about the food. My husband and I would use Pam and Funky Fresh Food Truck for any future catering event. And we hope one of their food trucks will come to the Wilmington area in the future. Thanks, again Pam!

From our first phone call through our wedding reception's close-out, Pam and the Funky Fresh Crew were phenomenal!

-Our tasting was lovely, personalized, and relaxed. Funky Fresh was accommodating to our tastes and food preferences/allergies, and were quickly able to alter their offerings.
-From the tasting to our event (8 months), Pam kept in reliable contact with us, making changes/additions as we requested and helping with our sanity checks.
-On the day of our wedding, Pam and the Funky Fresh Crew showed up early (something I greatly appreciate!) to set up, and even lent a hand in our overall setup. And this is where they really were awesome:
(1) We purposefully over-planned for the food...absolutely everything was devoured! (Much to my stomach's disappointment the next day!)
(2) Pam and the Crew even helped us tear-down our event, following their cleanup.

All-in-all, the Funky Fresh Food Truck and Crew were an essential part of our wedding day. The comfort-style food was delicious and you couldn't ask for nicer, more genuine people to work with. My wife and I wholeheartedly recommend their food and services and wouldn't hesitate to use them again!!!

Amazing food and incredible service! Pam is so easy to work with and she really listens to what we are looking for. Everyone that came to our event was professional and friendly. We got so many comments from everyone that came saying how delicious and creative the food was and how fun the truck was to see as they were walking up! Working with Funky Fresh Food Truck was the absolute best experience I’ve ever had. There isn’t one thing they don’t think of! From the essentials (serving pieces, plates, flatware, cups, etc.) to the minor details they had it all covered!!! The food was absolutely to die for. I had so many guests tell me how amazing the food tasted and how well it was presented. The ideas that Pam and John have are so helpful in creating a menu and making sure all of your basis are covered for your event. They made planning so easy and they made the day of the event stress free in the way they had me covered. Pam and John took so many of the details off my plate that I was able to enjoy the event so much more. I will be working with them for any and all events in the future and highly recommend Funky Fresh Food Truck!!!

The FFFT Team catered my son's wedding on Topsail Island. Pam responded to many emails from my son regarding his (& his bride's) desires as to menu options, pricing & execution. The FFFT Team was very flexible & accommodating. The ultimate flexibility came on the wedding day when the wedding was moved up 2 hours to dodge potential bad weather. The Team responded willingly, without batting an eye. The best part too is that the food was delicious. Everything they served was fresh, tasty & beautifully presented. I received so many compliments on the food from guests. The FFFT Team was on time, they had everything they needed, they presented, cleaned up & were gone...very professional & friendly. I would not hesitate in any way to recommend the Funky Fresh Food Truck Team for any occasion.

I would recommend using Funky Fresh for any event! Pam, John, and their staff are excellent to work with! They are efficient, professional, and the food is absolutely delicious. I appreciate their willing to meet ahead of time and to work out any details that are necessary prior to the event. I used Funky Fresh for our annual fundraiser this year. I had so many compliments about excellent food and the service the night of our recent event. I will definitely use them again! In fact, I have already booked them for another event.

John & Pam at Funky Fresh are an absolute dream to work with! They respond quickly and are always flexible and accommodating. They catered our rehearsal dinner and wedding for us June 2018. They even brought us lunch and snacks for the wedding party while getting ready that day! The Funky Fresh team is so hard working and everything tastes so good! High Praise!!

I have hosted an annual dinner party in our home for more than 25 years, with several different caterers. Funky Fresh crew have kicked it up a notch I The last two years with their special style and wonderful food offerings. This year was even better than 2017! Great fresh flavor combinations mixed with traditional favorites make for an exciting menu. Their professional staff and attention to detail make hosting an event a relaxing occasion. Can’t wait to have the back!

They were amazing. They gave us a private tasting at our home and were so lovely. They did not disappoint on the day of--the food was delicious and we got quite a few compliments on it. Seriously excellent quality. Gourmet. Cannot recommend enough!!!!

Fantastic value & great couple team!

We are so glad that we chose to work with Funky Fresh for our wedding meal! From the moment we met them at their house in Goldsboro, we felt their warmth and enthusiasm for making our meal and our day perfect. They came up with a dream menu based on our preferences and they were flexible as we made tweaks and changes in the months leading up to the wedding. It’s also hard to beat the value for money they offer. Multiple guests of ours told us afterwards that this was the best food they had ever eaten at a wedding. Not only did the food taste incredible, but the presentation was beautiful and thoughtfully done and they made a point to take care of us at our head table – coming by to give us more food and beverage to be sure we didn’t miss out at our own wedding. They even threw in some amazing late night kebabs to end our wedding evening right – such a gift! We would highly recommend Funky Fresh to any couple looking to work with good people making good food and providing a high level of service at the wedding itself.

We were so disappointed. I didn't want to write a review since I couldn't say too many nice things. We paid 27.50 per person for 230 people and was told we would have homemade chocolate chess pies( a pan cut into squares was brought) and pecan pies (3 pies were brought) they were food service bought. When I see all the great weddings and the food they did for other weddings it just pisses me off. When we discussed it later we were not offered any compensation. I really don't understand why we were not given the same courtesy as these other weddings. I even called to make sure we would have enough food and was told that we were fine, don't worry.
The food was not the quality we were sold.
The cilantro rice according to our guests was awful and the corn salad was terrible. We really had all confidence in them. The tacos were good but that's it. We were told that food was thrown away at the end, but why? We could have given the tacos to the bride and groom or guests as they worked up an appetite from dancing. The whole experience was not worth the expense.

I would not recommend this vendor at this time. There has been a complete lack of communication from their team, despite multiple attempts to reach them by us, the venue owner, and even their own staff.
Unfortunately, the quality of food provided at our wedding did not meet the standards that were promised. Neither Pam nor John attended the event or ensured that staff were properly instructed on service and execution. This was particularly concerning given that we had coordinated in advance with John to accommodate several guests with food allergies. On the day of the event, staff were unable to identify ingredients or answer basic allergen-related questions, creating an unsafe and stressful situation for our guests.
Additionally, the event appeared to be understaffed. While the on-site staff made a genuine effort, they were clearly overwhelmed and unable to meet demand. As a result, several guests were left without adequate food.
It has now been a month since the event, and we have received no explanation or apology. All follow-up emails and messages from us, the venue owner, and their staff have gone unanswered. This lack of accountability and professionalism is deeply disappointing.
