A perfect space to celebrate with friends and family

If you're looking for a unique space to celebrate an event, with incredible food to boot, you can't go wrong with Fulton Market Kitchen. They have so many different rooms as well as some great artwork that really makes the space come alive. I've had dinner in a few of the rooms, as well as a wedding that took over the entire space. Every time, the chefs and the attentive staff knocked it out of the park.

Exactly what we were looking for!

Fulton Market Kitchen (FMK) helped to make our big day a great event - not just for us, but for our families as well. During and after the event, we heard multiple compliments from our family about the impressive food, the unique drinks, the impeccable service, and the attention to detail. We especially appreciated the event coordinator, Lale, for thinking about the things we had forgotten, like how to hand off a bride (none of us actually knew how that would go, but we got through it!).

FMK was a great space and provided exactly what we were looking for in a venue. It was intimate while still having enough room to roam, the ambiance was lively without being too overbearing. The candelabras, music level, and seating fit our group perfectly. Not to mention, we always look forward to going back throughout the week for dinner. We couldn't recommend them more!

    Amazing Day

We had our wedding booked with Fulton Market Kitchen in the fall of 2017 with a 2018 date. The venue did go through a transition period of staff turnover which in the beginning felt very stressful. Communication between the new planner Lale was impeccable and her knowledge of the wedding industry and running a successful wedding was so comforting and genuine. Our day went off without a hitch and we could not be happier. If you are the out of the box couple looking for a cool hip place then this is it. They truly are full service.

    Wonderful experience

I had a wonderful experience working with the staff at FMK. the food was DELISH and the staff was very accommodating to my needs and very easy to work with. My colleagues who attended my wedding loved the venue so much that our company holiday party is taking place at FMK!

The Worst People to Deal With

Our wedding reception was slated to be held here. Due to many covid-19 complications our most special day was canceled. Every other business involved with the wedding was graciously understanding and gave full refunds as well as heartfelt condolences. Richard, Fulton Market Kitchen’s director of operations is another case entirely. First I’ll mention that I was forced to deal with him as for some unbeknownst reason they’ve gone through 4 event coordinators in the span of 5 months. Take from that what you will. Anyone who has worked in the service industry for any length of time knows exactly what that means. Despite me reaffirming that the cost of reserving the date was $750, Richard was steadfast in keeping the 2k already paid towards the event. Despite the 7 weeks advanced notice which will make clear Fulton Market Kitchen has yet to spend a dime on our event. It’s also noteworthy that on multiple wedding planning websites in which they advertise, their reserve the date fee is only $500. Richard, as the director of operations was also clueless of their presence on said websites as he was to their mere existence. Chalk that up to their inability to retain reliable staff. Richard, in a vailed attempt to make their outright theft during a trying time more friendly, stated that we’re more than welcome to take advantage of a 2 thousand dollar credit. After explaining to him that we reside in Charleston S.C. and this was a destination wedding in which we’d have no way of making use of such a credit; his response was “Well, that’s not our problem.” I’m a veteran of the service industry for almost 16 year and have served around 200 weddings throughout my career. In those years I have never encountered an individual or a business so numb to the definition of “service industry” as Richard, their director of operations, or Fulton Market Kitchen as a business. Furthermore, word on Chicago streets is their food is mediocre at best, so I guess maybe we dodged a $2,000.00 bullet.

    Absolutely atrocious

My fiancé and I had planned to have our wedding dinner here in late August following the small ceremony we were going to have. Unfortunately, we were told a few days ago that our venue could no longer hold our ceremony due to COVID, and the travel restrictions (us being from SC.) While every other business we had lined up was understanding and willing to work out a deal so that we wouldn’t lose thousands of dollars on a wedding we wanted to have but couldn’t, Fulton Market Kitchen was unwilling to do so. Communication was already difficult because they had burned through event managers three times in a few months. It was supposed to be the best day of our lives. We had paid beyond the deposit (by over a thousand dollars) to stay on track and act more as a payment plan as my fiancé is a chef and has been out of work for months because of the global pandemic. Some of this was gift money provided by our parents, however.. we will never see the fruit of this deposit as we cannot reschedule because of the circumstances, and we also cannot make use of a $2,000 credit from across the country. When we spoke to Richard, Director of Operations, in between the snarky statement he was making, had told us that they were keeping every cent. I completely understand that businesses are having a rough time.. again, we’ve lost half our income, but what we paid past the deposit shouldn’t be a loss due to a global pandemic that no one saw coming. Profiting from a couple’s misfortune on something completely out of their hands is just wrong. Simply wrong. I would never recommend Fulton Market Kitchen solely based on the morals alone.
