For the Love of Food & Drink catered my rehearsal dinner and welcome party for my wedding this summer. Wendy was very responsive over email and phone and was helpful in planning the menu for our guests. We had a tasting a few months before to refine the menu - Wendy and Bill were flexible to our taste preferences and food allergies! The food was amazing at the event and a standout compared to other weddings I attended. My husband and I had a wedding celebration up at a summer camp in Maine this past September and we were so thankful we found Wendy and Bill to cater for our reception! From the start, they were incredibly accommodating of the various dietary restrictions we had to account for (gluten free, vegetarian, vegan) and they were able to work within our budget.
We were planning this celebration from a distance and Wendy and Bill's communication was incredibly professional and prompt. Every time we brought up a question or possible concern they were incredibly reassuring and offered solutions.
On top of everything, the food was delicious (appetizers, entrees and dessert!) and guests loved chatting with the bartenders!

We used the FTLOFD team for our wedding at Cunningham Farm Maine. I cannot say enough good things. Wendy, her daughter, her husband, and her team are absolutely fabulous. Our wedding went off without a hitch due to Wendy's careful consideration and planning as our Day of Coordinator. On top of that, she was a friendly, calming presence throughout my whole day, and I don't know how I would have done it without her. She was always there to answer my questions, and she didn't let anything slide through the cracks. We hired her for our bar, rehearsal dinner, and reception. Wendy, Bill, Ohara, and the staff at For the Love of Food and Drink were absolutely incredible to work with. The second we hung up the phone after our first phone call with Wendy, we knew this was the team for us. They provided our wedding day catering, bar services, all desserts, and day of coordination services. Wendy is super knowledgable and communicative throughout the whole planning process. The entire staff made our day absolutely stress free. The food was spectacular and we were served cocktail hour food during our photos and our dinner plates were made for us during dinner service. To top it all off, the team made our clean up the next morning a complete breeze. If I could give For the Love of Food and Drink 10 stars for value, I would! Wendy and her team at For the Love of Food & Drink provided exceptional catering services for our wedding weekend. Their prices are incredibly reasonable, and the food is absolutely delicious. We first experienced their culinary delights at their charming café in Wells, where the food impressed us just as much as it did at our wedding. The staff at For the Love of Food & Drink were friendly, accommodating, and helpful throughout the entire process.
They catered both our rehearsal dinner and wedding day, paying special attention to our sister-in-law’s gluten-free needs. The team took great care in communicating with her about which offerings were gluten-free, ensuring she felt included and cared for. Our guests couldn't stop complimenting both the fantastic food and the terrific team.
Wendy also took on the role of our wedding coordinator, managing the complex logistics of our wedding day with grace and a positive, adaptable attitude despite the rain and numerous moving parts (like moving the cocktail hour to the barn at the last minute).
Their hard work, excellent communication during the planning stages, and attention to small but meaningful details, like bringing the groom's favorite hot sauce for the rehearsal dinner, made our experience truly memorable. We highly recommend For the Love of Food & Drink for any event. -

Wendy and her team truly went above and beyond on our wedding day! Wendy has impeccable attention to detail, and made sure everything from my rehearsal to my signature drinks were perfect. My partner and I are nerds to the highest degree, and wanted a feast fit for a Hobbit. For the Love of Food immediately understood our vision and served a delicious feast with several amazing stews based on the books/movies to warm our guests up during our chilly fall wedding. What's more they even started the meal with passed around Lembas bread wrapped in banana leaves for a special magical touch! -

Wendy, Bill and their whole team are incredible. They handled all our catering for a 3-day wedding weekend and Wendy was our Day-of Coordinator as well. I am a pretty organized person and still there were a million things I didn't know to think about that Wendy completely handled so I could just be there any enjoy. Everything she touched was made perfect. On top of her expertise and graciousness in pulling off the event, I felt like she was really there to celebrate us, too. My mom said it too: this is what it looks like when someone truly loves what they do and are exceptionally good at it. The rest of their team was just as caring and considerate as Wendy and Bill -- we felt totally taken care of by them. And people are still talking about the goodbye brunch. For The Love of Food & Drink did a fantastic job catering our wedding! We found them when researching caterers for a vegetarian/vegan wedding. We reached out, and they invited us to their restaurant to sample some of their dishes. The food was fantastic! We can't wait to go back to their restaurant.
Wendy and the team did a great job at accommodating any requests we had. They were easy to work with, and they were able to help make recommendations in regards to all things food and beverage related. The team was very professional and everything went off without a hitch.
The food at our wedding was excellent; it all tasted homemade and fresh. There was a wonderful selection to choose from for the cocktail hour and the dinner was great as well. They also helped us out by coordinating with our dessert vendor so that we didn't have to do any extra driving on our end. We would highly recommend For The Love of Food & Drink!! -

For the Love of Food & Drink catered and hosted my wedding, and it was literally the perfect day. From start to finish, they made it easy. Planning a wedding can be stressful, but they take a load off. They make you feel seen, and heard, and ultimately, a beautiful vision came true as a result. I literally couldn't be happier. The venue was simultaneously stunningly beautiful, and quaint, both in presentation and maintaining a "Maine-like influence. "The devil is in the details." Everything was perfect, literally everything. Food was exquisite 👌. Shoutout to my boy Rob, the bartender, and a master of his craft. The band "Get On Up" filled the air with banging music. A million wonderful comments to the bands talents bombarded my phone. I can't say enough nice things about these guys. -

Bill and Wendy catered our wedding on 7/9/22 and the food was absolutely amazing along with the service!! We did an upscale BBQ buffet with passed apps and it was all incredible, we highly recommend!!! Wendy also provided coordination services for our wedding and I can not say enough great things about her!! She really made our wedding come to life and was extremely responsive and helpful! She got on plenty of phone calls with me to ease my nerves and made sure the wedding day timeline went without a hitch. I cannot begin to express how great Wendy and Bill were to work with. My fiance and I were originally going to get married in June of 2020. We hired an event coordinator to help us facilitate planning, vendors etc. etc. We picked Ocean Gateway as our venue which is a blank slate. Our event coordinator was pushing another caterer that she worked with often onto us. After rescheduling our call multiple times, being late for said call, talking over us the whole time, and then delivering a proposal that didn't match anything we asked for, I started doing my own research. I came across For the Love of Food and reached out. Wendy responded right away and set up a call with my Fiance and I. We explained that we were looking for food and bar services for about 185 guests, and wanted to have food stations that allowed people to eat whenever they wanted. Wendy worked with us to create a full menu that included an array of passed apps, and food stations that included a taco, sushi, lobster roll, and dessert stations just to name a few. She put together a full bar package and made suggestions on fun signature drinks. We even went up to meet with her and Bill at their cafe prior to the 2020 wedding date. We ended up moving our wedding 4 times due to covid, and Bill and Wendy stayed with us the whole time (2+ years). Wendy checked in over the years, and in the weeks leading up to the wedding, went back over everything with us and made sure we had it all covered. The day of the wedding, she came up to us and said she had put a plate of food down for us, and honestly thank goodness for that because it was the only food I ate during the wedding. All of our guests said the food was wonderful, and definitely had plenty to drink. We also got a lot of comments from guests on how wonderful the catering staff was from food service to bartenders. Also, the pricing was reasonable and clearly communicated to us from the beginning. They did not come back and change things on us (we had this experience with another vendor) as we went. Overall they were amazing to work with and I cannot say enough good things about them!!! -

For the Love of Food and Drink did the catering and bartending for our family style wedding on 10/23 in Fryeburg, ME. They far exceeded any expectations I had. We knew leading up to the event that they were great - Wendy is a top-notch communicator and had set time aside to have calls with us going through each detail of the day. They executed it all beautifully!
They started the day with warm apple cider & bourbon as guests were entering the ceremony, then moved on to cocktail hour with passed apps, and finally the family style meal. They helped pick a seasonally appropriate, delicious menu that guests were raving about. They also staffed our bars with a great bartending crew that added to the event.
Bill and Wendy have a great business, great staff, and great food that we would recommend for any event! -

The whole party was a huge success, and the food was the centerpiece of it all. Everyone raved about each item, and despite how full we all were none of us wanted to stop eating. It was so nice to be able to spend our time at the cabin with friends rather than cooking for them and still have an amazing, homemade feast to gather around. You both were a dream to work with, and we can't thank you enough for your flexibility throughout this whole process. Bill & Wendy and their team were so easy and fun to work with for the wedding. They were very knowledgeable and helped us to pick a menu and set up that fit what we wanted. Our buffet styled meal at the wedding was incredible, all of our guests were raving about how good the food was. The appetizers were great! They were also accommodating to those with allergies as well as our guests who were vegetarian and vegan. The servers were were friendly and professional. Lovely post-wedding brunch
We reached out to Wendy and Bill looking for someone to cater our morning brunch the day after our wedding. It was only going to be a brunch for 12 people as we were having a very intimate ceremony. Part of me was worried caterers would feel like such a small group wouldn't be worth their time, but Wendy and Bill never made us feel like anything less than valued customers. Despite the small group, we were still invited to go up to Maine to try their food and check out their restaurant. They were gracious hosts and I love the vibe in the restaurant - bustling, friendly, and most importantly, DELICIOUS FOOD! On top of that, Wendy still went all out and brought beautiful plates and silverware and napkins to our catered brunch so we had a beautiful set up. Paying was easy, she arrived on time with one of her cooks, the food and drink were plentiful, and everyone loved it. We ate the leftovers for days after! Apparently they are opening up another location this year in a big space and looking to get into hosting weddings as well. You won't regret choosing them for any of your catering needs. We'll have to go back up soon for some more brunch. THANK YOU WENDY AND BILL! -

There are not enough great things to say about Wendy & Bill. Between the AMAZING food & A+++ service & response, the entire planning process was easy and fun with the help of Wendy and the wonderful menu by Bill. My wife & I had a "backyard" wedding on the beach in Wells and Wendy had amazing suggestions for helping the day be wonderful. We also had them cater our rehearsal dinner at their cafe and it was the best start to our wedding weekend. Their food (the apps - omg!) and STAFF were the talk of the weekend - by the end of the night our friends were trying to get the bartenders out on the dance floor because we loved everyone working so much. 110% would recommend Wendy, Bill, & Co - seriously do yourself a favor and use them for your special day! -

My husband and I had a tough time finding a caterer because everybody was WAY overpriced, making our wedding unaffordable. We came across FOR THE LOVE OF FOOD & DRINK and everything went very smoothly after that! We worked mostly with Wendy over the phone because we live out of state and she is the kindest person, a true pleasure to work with. Bill handled all the food and it was AMAZING. We had a FULLY VEGAN WEDDING because my husband and I are both vegan, however, our guests are not. Every single guest was loving every minute of the food! They said they wouldn't have even known it was all vegan if we hadn't advertised it! We all ate leftovers the next day as a family. I cannot tell you enough how wonderful this company is. They helped us with not only the catering but with the planning. We had to switch our wedding date three times due to COVID and Bill & Wendy made it work each time. They made our lives so easy and our wedding day very special!
I wish I had more photos to provide but we ate so quickly - it was that good!!! Here are some pics of the appetizers. The Thai noodle cups were everybody's favorite app! We also had a family style dinner with TONS of food. So sad we didn't get more pictures to share. The entire meal was incredible. -

Wendy, Bill and the whole For the Love of Food catering team were absolutely fabulous. From planning, then replacing a wedding during a pandemic, Wendy and her team were flexible and worked with us to build our dream wedding menu not only once but twice.
They were incredibly responsive, organized and professional and the food on our guests just raved about the entire dining experience - from cocktail hour through dessert. The presentation was beautiful and absolutely delicious! -

Exceptional catering service for our fall wedding!
For the Love of Food and Drink catered our 10/3 wedding at Hardy Farm and they were amazing from start to finish. We ended up moving our date up 7 weeks earlier due to Covid-19, and they easily accommodated us and helped us replan our menu to meet the state regulations with very minimal disruptions to our original plan. The food and desserts were all delicious (cutting cake, mini pies, tarts and cheesecakes), and service was impeccable. They also served our alcohol, and helped curate our welcome and signature drinks which were all a huge hit! They were flexible, personable, and reasonably priced for everything they included, and we cannot recommend them enough! -

Bill and Wendy at For the Love and Food and Drink catered our daughter’s wedding at Ocean Gateway in Portland in August. We were so happy with their food and their service! We traveled from California and our daughter and son in law are from Boston, so many of the details were handled from afar. Wendy was so easy to work with and coordinated seamlessly with the rental company and the wedding planner. The food was beautifully prepared and delicious, and their china was so pretty. Wendy and her crew were very professional and took care of so many details. Their prices were very reasonable and they were flexible, with many choices. The best part was the confidence and comfort Wendy gave me when I met her two days before the wedding that: “everything is under control and all will go well” - that was priceless!! Must Hire Wedding Caterer
We’ve hired Chef Bill and Wendy for more than one occasion to cater for us, but the most memorable experience was our wedding. Being in the food industry myself (bride) I knew what I wanted and they delivered! We enjoyed cocktail hour with passed HDs, family style service under a tent starting with a salad/soup followed by main dishes with sides. We opted to use their beautiful vintage china and silverware. Everything was delicious and our guests agreed. They also catered my in-laws wedding and I frequently recommend them to other people. Hire them! You won’t be dissatisfied :) -

I can't say enough about Wendy and the whole staff at For the Love of Food. I was scrabbling to put together an amazing party for my husband who had recently earned his doctorate and turned 40. After speaking to Wendy for 5 minutes I knew that where ever I hosted this party I had to use For the Love of Food. On the day of the party we arrived home to find the staff had it all set up ready to go, they kept the food stocked the guest fed and were very easy to communicate with. Our guests are still talking about the food. When my nieces college graduation party was coming up I quickly called Wendy asking for help. I this time used their services to pick up the catered food and bring it to my sisters house in Arlington Ma. It was once again amazing, I can't say enough about the experience and how easy they are to work with. -

We had a great experience with The Love of Food & Drink for a large family gathering for a lobster feast. The food was absolutely delicious and they were super easy to work with. I absolutely recommend them to anyone for their food services. -

My wife and I ended up, for various reasons, planning our wedding somewhat at the last minute. We contacted For the Love of Food and Drink in mid-November 2018 with what, to me, would be a very difficult order: Our wedding was a month away, a six hour round-trip drive for them (into rural Maine), and we needed the catering to be vegan and gluten free. Under the circumstances, we would have completely understood if they'd said no. Nonetheless, they agreed to our [admittedly] unusual and difficult demand. We are very glad that we contacted them: They were super communicative with us up to the wedding date, their price was super reasonable, and they had delicious, amazing food and great service. 100% would recommend to anyone! -

Wendy and her entire staff are extremely friendly and have delicious food. I'd even give Bill the chef of the year award when it comes to his omelets! If you are in the Wells area and are looking for something to eat, look no further than here!
