Joy is a master at her craft. She was great to work with for our wedding. She met with us a few times to go over ideas and inspo pics, and what she designed on the day was nothing short of glorious. The bouquets and boutineers were stunning and she designed centerpieces that also doubled as the flowers lining the aisle. Her team transitioned the pieces from the ceremony to the reception during cocktail hour in such a seamless fashion, and the pieces looked perfect during both events. We could not thank Joy enough!

We loved working with Joy (owner of Flowerthyme) for our wedding day, 12/1/23. She made us feel comfortable and confident, and was open to working with us from across the country (we live in CA but got married in RI). Joy has an array of knowledge, expertise and a great eye for detail which showed through all of the arrangements on our wedding day. We cannot recommend Flowerthyme and Joy enough for the dreamiest floral needs.

She really works with your budget and there is nothing better than a florist who you can give just a few photos of inspo to, and she RUNS with it and EXECUTES. Joy at Flowerthyme was an absolute joy to work with. To my surprise, up until I met with Joy, finding a florist was one of the more disheartening tasks in wedding planning. Various florists had ridiculous minimums and when I eventually found florists that did not have minimums, they were unpleasant to work with. The first time meeting with Joy, she said “planning your wedding day florals should be the most fun and stress-free part of wedding planning” ...and she made it so!
Joy was responsive, enthusiastic, and both receptive and encouraging when it came to to my vision and preferences. She was flexible and easy to collaborate with via Zoom, text, and email, as I am a D.C. resident and was doing all of my planning remotely. She was patient and understanding with changes. Most importantly, the flowers on my wedding day turned out beautifully. What she delivered was above and beyond what I had even expected or could have dreamed. I couldn’t be happier with my experience working with Joy and the outcome of everything on our wedding day. I’d recommend Flowerthyme to anyone looking for a florist in RI.

From the moment we spoke to Joy over the phone we felt an instant connection and knew this was the best choice ever! Joy was incredible to work with! She got my vision from the start and made the process fun, easy, and efficient. As a bride, you are always looking to find vendors you trust with your ideas for the big day. Joy just GOT IT right away! She has such a successful business and is very busy but always makes the time to make you feel like you are her priority. Amazing service and beautiful flowers.
We planned our wedding fairly quickly after COVID restrictions finally came up. We did not give things the usual timeline, so we were worried about finding a good florist. Joy was so accommodating and helpful. We chose a popular date, which I thought would be too much of a squeeze, but she got it done and the flowers were BEAUTIFUL. With just one photo of our venue, she created something that worked perfectly.
The only compromise was we had to pick up because of the late timeline and popular date, but that worked out just fine for us. She was so accommodating about finding a good time for that.
I'd recommend FlowerThyme to anyone in RI or nearby CT looking for gorgeous flowers.

Our experience with Joy and her team at Flowerthyme for our May 2022 wedding was fantastic! From initial conversations about our floral vision, to our in-person meeting and wedding day, Joy captured everything we wanted for our florals and added some creativity to our arrangements that shine in our photos. Joy and her team are amazing, I would highly recommend. The most lovely flowers for my daughter's wedding day!

Flowerthyme did an excellent job with providing lush, fresh flowers for my wedding. My centerpieces were a perfect balance of whimsy and elegance -- just as I had hoped. My bouquet was perfection and all of this was done while I was wedding planning from the DC area and without being able to meet with Joy in person. Joy is a wonderful person who really understands what her clients want. I felt like I was in very good hands with Joy. Flowerthyme's prices are also competitive/very reasonable. I genuinely felt like I had a real connection with the owner, Joy. We immediately hit it off, and became friends on social media, keeping in touch from the first consultation until post-wedding day. Joy's floral designs for my wedding way were better than anything I've ever seen on Pinterest, and she brought my vision to life, going above and beyond to make our bouquets and the venue look perfect (including a long hunt for burgundy peonies!) Joy is someone who truly understands your vision, and can make it come to life on ANY budget. If there is one piece of advice I could give all of our Rhode Island brides...hire FLOWERTHYME!

To say everything was perfect at my wedding is an understatement. The flowers, centerpieces and all around decorations were breath taking! She is also very budget conscious and thought of creative ways to reuse flowers from the ceremony to the reception which was very much appreciated. At the last minute, we decided that we had a little more budget for flowers and even though the wedding was less than a week away she had no issue changing some of the centerpieces around with little time to plan. On the day of, all of the flowers were incredibly beautiful and exactly what I was looking for. I would encourage anyone to use Joy for your wedding flower needs.

Joy is absolutely fabulous to work with. Every time a vendor asked who our florist was, each one couldn't say enough great things about her work and how much they loved working with her. Her talent is the best of the best. She saw our vision and put her artistic touches and ideas with it which made it even more spectacular. She was easy to work with even when we had to make changes and additions to our plan. We wanted our flowers to be unique yet beautiful. She was able to find flowers that we have never seen before and they really played out our Tuscan theme. They were rustic yet soft and worked beautifully with our venue. Everywhere we looked from the hallway, stairs, bathroom, entrance way, to the reception area there were beautiful displays of flowers or designs that she created. People still talk about them. I truly can't say enough about Joy. We were so lucky to have her be part of our wedding!

Joy Rich (FlowerThyme) did an amazing job for our wedding in November! Joy listens / internalizes your vision for your day and helps you tailor your flower arrangements to bring that vision to life. She spent time looking through my Pinterest page, doing research, and collaborating with me in-person and over-the-phone to create the most beautiful English garden arrangements. On top of all that, Joy is very reasonably priced for the quality of her work (top value) and is incredibly pleasant to work with. Our flower arrangements were our favorite part of our wedding - she truly brought "Joy" to our day!

We walked in, talked to her for 30 minutes and gave her some ideas (pretty vague ones) and told her the colors in our small seaside wedding (except my husband-to-be and I couldn't exactly decide whether my dress was dark teal - my vote - or blue - his). In other words, we weren't really that helpful. Nonetheless, Joy fashioned us a beautiful bouquet and boutonniere, and did so in a matter of days. I was so very happy! She is intuitive and marvelously talented.

We worked with Joy at Flowerthyme for our May wedding. We only ordered bouquets and boutonnieres as we chose to make our own decorations. Joy was easy to reach and did a fantastic job with the bouquets! I couldn’t even imagine something as lovely as what we received.
All of the flowers were fresh and colorful and were packaged in vases of water (all of them!) to keep them that way. She had the best reviews in our area for a reason. I would definitely recommend her shop to anyone.

We recently got married, on May 6th, and contacted Joy, at Flowerthyme, to do the flowers for our wedding. From the start, Joy was a pleasure to work with. She was so helpful and offered up many great ideas/suggestions. She was quick to respond to all our messages and everything was delivered perfectly on our wedding day.
The flowers came out beautiful and she also put together our centerpieces. I provided a picture of what I wanted, for our centerpieces, and what she created came out FAR better than the picture. I highly recommend hiring FlowerThyme (Joy Rich) as your florist for your wedding. Joy listened closely to all of our requests and executed them just as hoped for. She helped guide us during many of the decisions in the planning process. We met Joy twice before our event to go over the details. We were able to see a mock up of the table centerpiece and then work together to perfect our vision. The quality of the flowers and beauty of the design was absolutely stunning. We had our Wedding this summer in Rhode Island, and had Flowerthyme do our entire wedding. I had heard that they did beautiful work but never imagined how they could transform an ordinary room into a magical enchanted garden filled with beauty, warmth and elegance. It simply took my breath away when I walked into that finished room! Additionally I asked them to decorate the Chuppa which we were married under. They carried out the theme of the room onto the Chuppa which only enhanced the entire ambiance. Joy did everything that I asked for and more. I highly recommend Flowerthyme. I could not have imagined more beautiful bouquets for myself and my bridesmaids, and the table arrangements were absolutely perfect. They were so romantic and lovely. I also wanted to mention that the flowers Joy chose for the men's boutonnieres were gorgeous and a couple of the guys even got compliments on them from the guests (I've never heard of that happening before!)! My parents, husband and I were so thrilled with how everything came together and Flowerthyme was such an integral part in that. Joy at Flowerthyme was wonderful to work with! She is amazing at what she does and truly helps with additional ideas that you may not think of. We were married across the street from the ocean so I wanted to incorporate some aspects of the ocean, keeping it elegant yet fun. Joy helped so much in this area, one of her ideas was to put a black ribbon band around all of the centerpiece vases with a starfish in the middle. I cannot tell you how many compliments I received on that one small touch! Her flowers from the centerpieces, the flowers for our ceremony at the gazebo to the absolutely stunning bouquets for myself and all of my bridesmaids were absolutely gorgeous! Joy is such a sweet and nice person to work with and will spend as much time with you as needed to be sure everything is the way you always dreamed it would be on your wedding day!

2 days before the wedding I dropped off two huge boxes and about 4 bags of vintage books, milk glass vases, mason jars, burlap banners, colored glass sorbet cups...I had no idea how it would all come out, because it looked like a pile of junk in my living room! The way she took everything and put it together was amazing... She also took some of my ideas and added the necessary details in order to make everything look cohesive, and it did. Joy is FABULOUS! She does an amazing job with flowers, truly knows her business inside and out, and really listens to what you want. Given that I'm not a big flower person, she was incredibly helpful and asked me to bring a picture of my dress and talk about my broader "vision." She then suggested a few things, we discussed them, and she went off and made it happen and the end product was exactly what I had been wanting (but couldn't have verbalized myself!). She also was able to help us use some of the flowers from the rehearsal dinner at the actual reception, which we all thought worked really well and saved my husband and I money. Working with Joy is such an easy decision - you won't be sorry!!

Joy at Flower Thyme was great to work with. I was having my wedding on Block Island which posed a challenge to get all of my flowers over there. She was incredible as she even coordinated the delivery of the flowers to come over with my hair and makeup vendors to make things easy. She did an incredible job on my bouquet! I described what I wanted and it turned out more beautiful than I had imagined. She also worked with my by letting me purchase hydrangeas from her wholesale so I could put them together myself (well family and bridesmaids did) for the church which helped me keep my costs down greatly. She came in under budget! I definitely recommend.

My Daughter Emily's wedding was 6-19-2010. We were so very lucky to find Flowerthyme. Joy the owner of Flowerthyme made us feel like we were the only Mother and Daughter she was working with.
She took our ideas and favorites and put together a product that took my breath away. She made sure she walked thru our wedding location and church. She was patient, returned every phone call, and emails.
Joy is very talented and truly loves her work. And something so very important Joy never pushed the envelope for spending. Just look at her work it speaks volumes about her talents.

Joy helped us put together some gorgeous bouquets and perfect decorations. One of my favorite idea's came from Joy. Which was luminary bags for our walk from the reception to the campfire. Everyone loved all the flowers and our day was perfect. I highly recommend flower thyme !

All of the flowers were beautiful and I got lots of compliments on them. She delivered the flowers to my hotel room and then set up everything up at the ceremony location and reception hall. Flowerthyme is an amazing florist! Both of our families have used Flowerthyme for over ten years. Joy has an amazing eye and can capture exactly what it is a customer is looking for and create the most breathtaking pieces. She worked diligently to create the right look, color and flower choices that we wanted. Her and her staff arrived on time the day of the wedding and the flowers brought tears to my eyes. We can't thank Flowerthyme enough for transforming our ceremony and reception area to something out of a fairy tale. I loved my flowers! I had never seen anything exactly like I wanted for either bridal or bridesmaid bouquet so I couldn�t really provide any pictures to flowerthyme as inspiration, I just had to describe the best I could! But they pulled through and everything looked perfect! We got from them bridal bouquet, bridesmaids bouquets, bouts, floral centerpiece at church, throwaway bouquet and pew ribbons. They were on time, set everything up, no complaints.

Joy is great to work with. She knew our venue and made so many suggestions that when I saw them the day of the wedding, were just as I had envisioned the room to look like. Joy was wonderful to work with. She was so friendly, and really took time to work with me and ask questions so she could understand what I wanted. When I told her my theme was stars, Joy suggested that we use fairy lights to give the centerpieces some extra flair. She also did a mock up of the centerpieces so that I could see what they would look like ahead of time. The flowers looked beautiful. I am glad we chose to go with Flowerthyme.

Joy Rich at FlowerThyme was great to work with. All of the flowers were SO beautiful and were exactly what I had imagined for my wedding day. She has a great team who dropped everything off to each of our locations and even moved the flowers from the chapel to the reception venue between the service and cocktail hour so that I could save money by reusing the decorations. She was a bit unresponsive at times to emails, but I think only because she is so busy.. which is merely a reflection of her pure talent and creative genius! She has a great website, and you can follow her on Pinterest too, which is especially helpful to start doing before you meet with her. She'll follow you too and use your pins to get a sense of what you're looking to see in your bouquets and decorations. Bottom line, she's awesome, and she does amazing work!

I just used FlowerThyme for my wedding in May and was so happy with the way everything turned out! Joy was very easy to work with, as I was planning from a distance, and was very responsive via phone and email. She was also able to understand my vision even though I didn't know much about flowers when we started and easily worked within my budget. My bouquet, the centerpieces, and especially the flowers in the church were just gorgeous! I would highly recommend FlowerThyme as I feel that I got very high quality flowers for a reasonable price, and also got to work with great people!

Joy and her team did an impeccable job creating beautiful flowers for our ceremony and reception! We also hired her to do the flowers for our rehearsal dinner, and they were beautiful as well! She did a great job understanding our aesthetic, and was also very helpful in suggesting options that worked within our budget. She does many weddings a year, so sometimes it can take a few days for her to get back to you, but as your wedding gets closer, she is extremely responsive and communicative. We would definitely recommend Flower Thyme to any bride/groom!

Joy was very responsive and organized in the planning leading up to our wedding and she was able to execute our vision perfectly! Joy was amazing!! I wanted a simpler look for my wedding with just babies breath & my bouquet to have white hydrangea... she nailed it! Made the centerpeices look so full and even added details to the jars!! My bouquet was absolutely gorgeous! It was being complemented all night! Joy at Flowerthyme created flower arrangements for my elopement in Newport, RI in August. The flowers came out stunning and she was so easy and helpful to work with. All our communication was over the phone and through e-mail and Joy called anytime that she had a question about what exactly I wanted. She was responsive, friendly and tried to save me money where she could. The flowers were delivered on time and stayed perfectly for hours. They also survived the car ride home to CT and in total lasted about a week. I would highly recommend Flowerthyme for your flower needs. Just so you know, I ordered a bouquet, 3 table arrangements, a boutonniere and a flower collar for my dog.
