Elegance in september skies
Most beautiful setting ever, all within my budget. Larry transformed a Appalachian casual style restaurant into an elegant, graceful, glowing room for a rehearsal dinner. 9 historic tall windows filled with candles and votives, vibrant flowers atop of mirrored bases with votives and greenery on the tables. Larry listened to my thoughts, my preferences, and I let him create a visionary place that was beyond my imagination. I have always wanted to work with Larry for a wedding or an event, and this was a dream come true. No matter where the event is in the future, FBL will be there creating magic.

Beyond words can describe...
When Larry captured what Autumn wanted, He exceeded more than she ever imagined... His creations are not only beautiful but uniquely made and tailored to each bride... The bouquet was exactly what Autumn wanted and well Jordan loved the boutonniere (he didn't want - lol). Each table was beautifully created and the Bridal parties table and back drop made me cry when I saw it. Thank you so much for making my daughter's wedding beautiful!

I just haven’t found enough superior adjectives to describe what you did for us. The choice and quality of flowers was simply the best and the way you arranged them was perfect! I trusted you and your vision, and you surprised me with the very special end result. I was overjoyed with what you did with the structural highlights of the venue, especially that bar and the fireplace.

A Wedding Hero
Larry saved our daughter‘s wedding day by making it a very special event in a time of disaster. She and her husband married the day after Hurricane Helene. We were not able to contact Larry at all and had no expectations of any flowers being at the venue. Larry made the day by not only having a bouquet waiting for her but having flowers from his own yard to make sure that my daughter’s day was beautiful! For that, he is the wedding hero!

Perfection!
I knew when Larry sent me his thoughtfully detailed and artfully inspired floral plan that I was in good hands. I stressed about every detail of wedding planning except the flowers! We planned our Lake Lure wedding for over a year and a half, and when Hurricane Helene ravaged the area, Larry happily pivoted with us and traveled to Charlotte. I felt so grateful to have someone I trusted and someone so talented with us even though his community was suffering. Larry turned an early 20th-century cotton mill (that he had never seen!) into a place of beauty and joy that I will remember forever! His arrangments and vision were executed flawlessly. I can't recommend Larry enough, and I am so thankful for his vision, his expertise, and his professionalism. You will not be disappointed!!!

An artist that can be trusted
Larry came highly recommended by our venue and did a phenomenal job on our wedding flower arrangements. He provided centerpieces, a bridal bouquet, florals for our wedding party/family, as well as mossy baskets and crowns for our flower girls. While we did not know what the exact designs would look like prior, we trusted Larry’s written descriptions and previous work. As it turned out, what we got was even better than we could have imagined. Everything he made was stunning and personal without even meeting us in person or needing a preview. Based on everything we know now, Larry is a sweetheart with an artist’s vision. We worried that the large centerpieces would be left behind, but they were so beautiful that our guests took every single one home.

The best choice for flowers!
We were fortunate to find an opening on Larry's schedule for the date of our wedding. We were looking for a very simple approach - bridal bouquet, family members corsages, and a few flowers for the centerpieces of the reception table. Larry was easy to work with and we knew the arrangements were in professional hands that we would be pleased with. On the day of the ceremony, he was there personally to make sure that the arrangements were what we had wanted and he had promised. He was fantastic to deal with and treats each event as 'his' wedding. We cannot recommend Larry and his team any more highly.

Masterful artistry
When Larry described to me the floral arrangements he would do for my daughters Fall theme wedding, I knew that they would be both unique and absolutely beautiful, and he exceeded my expectations!!! The artistry of floral composition, variation of textures and color, luxurious blooms, and attention to detail were masterfully artistic and absolutely gorgeous!!! His designs were fully in keeping with the look and theme that I wanted, but infinitely more stunning than I expected. He also gave me a detailed description of each bouquet, and the table designs, in our contract, and he understood exactly what look I wanted. Each table was a landscape of Fall beauty, with candles, pumpkins, seed pods, and a vase for each bouquet. Sheer delight!! He is a joy to work with.

Larry and his team are outstanding! We were able to meet with him in person months prior to our wedding to talk through our vision, and they nailed it. Larry is incredibly accommodating, easy to get in touch with, and a joy to be around. He was one of our most trusted vendors-we never had to worry if we were on the same page or timeline with him. Larry did our September wedding at the Cabin Ridge in Hendersonville, NC. I knew from our first meeting that he would create exactly what I had envisioned, and he somehow managed to do even more on our big day! He perfectly captured the look I was going for, was so thoughtful and helpful when setting up, and of course created stunning arrangements. Larry captured our vision for our floral arrangements and amplified them in a way we never thought possible. Larry is not a florist, he is an incredible floral designer. He takes what you think you want and turns it into what you really want. His shop is an incredible creative space where flowers become a medium of design, not just a means of adding beauty.
I came to Larry with a challenge for our wedding. I am an architect and graphic/industrial designer, so I saw the opportunity to express my love of mixed materials and mediums through my bridal bouquet. I told Larry that I wanted my bridal bouquet to be a metal or wood tectonic sphere with flowers in the middle. I wanted all of our designs to be extremely modern and interesting with sharp shapes, neutral tones, and flowing vines. I told him we wanted an outlined path of rose petals strewn over logs and lanterns leading to the aisle. Garlands running the length of our reception tables with low votives so people could freely converse without having to constantly move their heads to see over vased flowers. We let him take our vague concepts and run.
When he came in the day of our wedding, I was stunned! His designs were incredible. I was breathless. He took part in arranging the decor to flow with our garlands, flowers, and petals. He was attentive to every detail.
My husband, his family, and part of my family have been in the wedding industry for over 20 years. They ALL commented on the uniqueness and beauty of the floral designs. Larry's work captured our personality and shared it with all who saw.

FBL is the best. Period.
We felt like we had the best vendors in the world for our November wedding, and Larry was no exception. Larry has a unique eye for arrangements and will take your vision and marry it (ha) with details you couldn’t have even imagined. I don’t even really care for flowers, but my fiancé and I felt like Larry and his team took the vibe we envisioned, and when we saw our arbor (gasp), our table greenery (stunning), and the boutonnieres and bouquets with hops and thistle (y’all.), it was all so perfect. The arbor even became an unofficial picture-taking station for our guests!
Even that aside, Larry’s demeanor and care for his wedding parties is unmatched. He came by the bridal suite on the day of to say hello and give hugs, make sure we had everything we needed, and thank me. He helped my brother-in-law tie his bowtie. He was a voice of calm for my husband, who was stressed about some details. I cannot recommend him enough, and am so grateful that he was a part of our day.

Simply Wonderful
To say Larry (and team!) did an amazing job would be an understatement. He took my thoughts, ideas, and numerous Pinterest photos and turned my vision into a masterpiece. I felt like I was the Princess in a fairy tale as I walked down my beautiful eucalyptus and lantern lined aisle. The reception flowers were also everything I dreamed of and more.
Larry was more than a florist on our special day, and I would chose him over and over again.

I recently worked with Larry for our wedding in October. I can't even begin to explain how incredible Larry is. At our first meeting we just clicked. To say that Larry made our wedding dreams come true is a complete understatement. He and his staff were extremely responsive, and timely throughout the ENTIRE process. One thing that is hard to find with customer service, is someone who is willing to take the time to sit down, and figure out how to best serve you. Through my first meeting with Larry, I could tell that he genuinely cared about making our special day beautiful, even from the smallest detail. Our wedding happened to be the weekend of Hurricane Florence which created a good bit of anxiety. Larry was in touch with me almost every other day that week to see how I was, and how he could make things as easy as possible for my husband, and my family. Larry was so lovely to work with for our wedding! He listened to our vision and complimented it with his expert opinion. We were so pleased with the atmosphere his floral and decor created! He was comforting and laid back and we found our flowers to be one of the few things we were not worrying about the week of our wedding!

I live in NY and spike with a very nice woman at the shop. I explained I needed flowers sent to a 10 yr old boy and 11 yr old girl to congratulate them in birth of their sister. I voiced my concern that the arrangement not be too girly as one child was a boy. Just received a photo from the children and Larry nailed it with a beautiful arrangement.

There are no words to truly describe Larry! From the minute we stepped into his shop we knew that someone with his kind of shop was the florist for us. He was able to blend our likes so our flowers were a distinct reflection of us. His ability to understand a feeling & not a theme and then translate it into a piece of living art is undeniable. We would recommend Larry for any occasion as he is truly an artist.

Flowers by Larry did an amazing job at my wedding at The Cabin Ridge. The flowers were beautiful and everything looked wonderful. They made everything easy by arriving to install the displays and centerpieces early in the day. We loved the decorations they put on our arbor and I loved my bouquet.

Larry and his team were amazing! We were unable to do an in person consultation due to being out of town. During the phone consultation, Larry helped us to visualize our vision. After the initial phone call, we knew that we would not have to worry about floral. On the day of the wedding, we were blown away by the floral arrangements. They were absolutely beautiful. Working with Flowers by Larry proved to be more than I could have ever dreamed of for my wedding day. Not only was Larry exceptionally responsive and flexible, he is such an incredible artist and person. I met with him months before my wedding day to attempt to explain my vision (including color palette and design), and he superseded my expectations. Flowers by Larry was a dream to work with. We approached Larry, who's a visionary and a delight!, with a small to medium sized budget for our 95 person winter wedding. First, he spent over an hour with me discussing my vision and preferences for the look and feel of the floral offerings. We really felt listened to -- and the final results showed. Larry and his team were very responsive to us throughout our planning process, and delivered personal attention to all floral detail throughout our wedding day. Larry and his team take great pride in their artistry and making sure no detail is overlooked. From our contract process to the very last moment of our reception, Larry was there to make sure everything was executed beautifully. We were blown away that we could have flowers and adornment for our ceremony and reception that were this beautiful for the price we paid! Thank you, Larry and team!

Larry and Lisa did a fantastic job on our florals and wedding day design. Larry met with me in person to go over my vision for the reception and was able to make everything I imagined come to life. He added so many wonderful touches that really pulled everything together. He was even able to accomodate some last minute changes and additions that we forgot - (renting a cake stand!). I highly recommend Flowers By Larry for your wedding events. They went above and beyond our expectations and truly transformed our reception space.

Flowers by Larry is a special,little shop in beautiful downtown Hendersonville. When you walk in the front door you know this is not just any flower shop. There is a uniqueness that permeates from the front all the way to the back of the elongated room You can feel the passion for flowers in the air,these people mean business. When you meet Larry and his crew you realize the energy and warmth is coming from them and it is contagious. What Larry created for my wedding is hard to put in words, everything was perfect. His artistic vision captured perfectly what had been flashing in my mind for months, I sent him a picture from Instagram for what I wanted and he came up with the picture idea and his personal vision and it came up better than the picture I originally sent him. Larry was AMAZING! Both the Bridal and bridal party bouquets looked wonderful! I personally do not know too much about flowers and didn’t know exactly what I wanted for the wedding. We met with Larry for about an hour and he asked us a lot of questions about what we liked or didn’t like and I showed him some images from Pinterest and left the rest up to Larry. What he put together was perfect. We received so many compliments all night! I would totally recommend anyone to Larry for any wedding or event. They were very reasonable in price, great response time and listened to everything I wanted or didn’t want for the wedding.

Larry and team went above and beyond to make our wedding absolutely beautiful. From our consultation meeting (which was full of laughs) to the our big day, I could not have asked for more. And just an anecdote to let you know how great he really is -- somehow in all of the commotion of the end of the night, my bouquet with my grandmother's broach attached was left at the venue. While I was on my honeymoon, my mom got in touch with Larry who had my bouquet and had already gotten started on the drying process for me. Icing on the cake -- he drove an hour plus to deliver it to my parents house for safe keeping. Flowers by Larry is the best!

He gave helpful advice on where to spend and where not to spend money, showing that he truly cares about his clients/customers! When I sent an inquiry to Larry and his team, I had a very vague concept in my head of what I wanted, so I was pretty much told to just send along anything from my Pinterest board (along with many other helpful guiding questions they asked) so they could take the stress out of my hands and leave it to the professionals. Flowers by Larry worked with me to remain in my budget as well and was more than happy to do so. On my wedding day I could not believe that Flowers by Larry was able to create the absolute perfect flower arrangements based off of a few pictures and a bit of information! Incredible person to work with. Larry and his team went above what one would expect from the florist. I saw team members cleaning up winter flower beds at the venue. Larry saw that the picture mat we were having signed for a future wedding photograph was empty and he quickly added the touch of a a few blooms which took the item to that of elegant decoration as opposed to unfinished signing "book". I couldn't find the pens I had purchased for the mat to be signed and his staff went and got them. There are many more kindnesses and bits of creativity too numerous to list. The flowers were scrumptious. I lush design of deep burgundy, inky purple, Ivory, candy pink, silver and green! Gorgeous and exactly as envisioned. Thank you Larry for making the day extra beautiful!!

Larry went above and beyond since the beginning, to make sure our decor worked with well with the space, my previous plans and most importantly, my vision. My outdoor ceremony ended up getting rained out and we were forced inside the pavilion for the entirety of the wedding - and if it wasn't for his amazing head table and fireplace decor, archway and dessert table, my wedding day would have turned out very different. I can't even begin to put into words how beautiful everything turned out. I am a writer by profession, but I am at a loss for words to describe Flowers By Larry! Larry himself is incredible to work with and his creations left me speechless, not to mention completely affordable (which was the ONLY part of our wedding that came in under budget). Larry was a phenomenal florist to work with and is truly an artisan of his craft. From our very first meeting with Larry, we felt confident that he was the florist for our wedding through his artistic ideas and style. He was sure to convey the theme we desired for our wedding, and was willing to alter any designs along the way to ensure our needs were met. Larry was incredible!! He walked into our venue on the wedding day and told us all to go relax and when we walked into the venue for the first time we were blown away by how gorgeous everything was. We received SO many compliments from friends and family on how beautiful everything was. Larry and his team not only took into consideration what we wanted from a flower standpoint, but they took the time to decorate the entire venue with their own style and it seriously turned out incredible. They did not miss a beat! Larry is truly amazing at what he does!!!

Any couple would be lucky and extremely grateful to have Larry as the florist for their wedding. Larry is the absolute best in the business. He created my dream wedding- I was truly amazed at how he turned my vision into a reality. He combined details from my Pinterest board and from our conversations to create a wedding tailored exactly to me. It truly felt magical. I received endless compliments on the floral arrangements. And to top it all off- Larry is a joy to work with. He is fun, proactive, responsible, dedicated, passionate, and extremely likable. Larry is incredible. He is the most creative person I have ever had the experience of meeting. Everything he creates is a work of art and beautiful. We hired him for our wedding in Asheville, and he did beyond excellent! I pulled up in a little red vintage truck and looked out the window to the most stunning alter. He saw my vision precisely, was very easy to work with, and also delivered my bouquet to my cabin personally the day of my wedding! Our wedding was one of the most beautiful weddings I have ever seen- all thanks to the talented Larry.

If you are looking for a talented florist, look no further because Flowers by Larry is AMAZING!! We booked this vendor for our wedding in September of 2016 and I have to say, it was one of the best decisions we made!! Planning a wedding can be extremely time consuming and the fine details can feel a bit overwhelming, but Larry offered great advice, showed us pictures for inspiration from other weddings, and even friended me on Pinterest so he could get a better idea of my wedding style. Not only did he help us with our floral arrangements, he went above and beyond and helped us with the layout of the entire reception hall to maximize our space and functionality! If you are busy and indecisive like myself, Larry and his team have an amazing ability to fill in all the little gaps/details that otherwise would've been overlooked. Our wedding bouquets and boutennieres were absolutely PERFECT! The ceremony and reception was exactly what I envisioned AND MUCH MUCH MORE!! If you want to work with a florist who genuinely cares about his clients and the finished product, book Larry and his team!
PS. How can you resist a florist with a pet pig, named Lafawnda, that hangs out in the store?!

My mom and I met with him once and I felt completely confident that he would create exactly what I wanted; he did! The day after, he collected the remaining flowers and gave them to our local hospice. What a beautiful way to share them!

I absolutely loved working with Larry. He's super nice and very professional, I would definitely pick him again to do my flowers and decor. Larry did an AMAZING job with my flowers for my wedding, he knew exactly what I was looking for and made our wedding day that much more special. Weddings in general are super stressful so I greatly appreciated the fact that I knew he had everything under control and that was one less thing that I had to worry about.

Larry and his crew were very easy to work with! I enjoyed planning everything with them, and they were very easy to talk to. I had to change and add thing during the last week and Larry was very understanding and made my day more than amazing. I am a very picky and particular person and I like everything to be unique and different. I knew what I was looking for and Larry made it real for me. Larry was amazing. He was accommodating and patient when I tried to explain in layman's terms what I envisioned for our wedding flowers. We were able to get the most for our budget by double purposing almost everything- the aisle running flowers moved to the reception tables, the bouquets were displayed in vases, the alter flowers were even able to be moved. Unfortunately the wind wouldn't let us display his beautiful tall centerpieces, but that's not his fault, I should have tried harder to get wind screens for my mountain wedding. Honestly, the garland runner he made and the repurposed aisle runners were plentiful enough that no one noticed that the centerpieces couldn't be put up. The centerpieces were too beautiful to not be seen, so we lined them up by the fireplace at our pavilion...they just served a different purpose.

Larry was so easy to work with from the start. He designed the flowers for my sister's wedding. When we met with him, he immediately picked up on her vision for her wedding. He was able to stay within budget and provide beautiful arrangements. He also had a lot of rental signs/buckets/etc available to rent at a reasonable price. I work in the wedding industry as well, and I can say Larry and his team or top notch professionals and artists. I highly recommend him for your wedding or event.

Larry was a godsend for our April wedding! We met with several florists and wanted to maintain a fairly small budget for flowers since we were having a destination wedding. Other florists tried to talk us into several other elements that we expressly did not want and felt our money would not be well spent in those areas. Larry was the opposite - he reassured us that our vision could be fulfilled with exactly what we were asking for and within the budget that we had proposed. Larry delivered the most beautiful bouquets, boutonnieres, aisle flowers and centerpieces that I could ask for, along with several other elements. His decor of our ceremony site was exquisite and truly expressed the vision that we had shared with him months prior. Larry is nothing short of a floral prodigy! Plus, he's wonderful to work with - quick to respond to questions, easy to get in touch with a overall a truly kind person.

My daughter and I were lucky to find Larry of Flowers by Larry in Hendersonville, NC for her May 7 wedding at Highland Lake Inn in Flat Rock, NC. We had some very specific ideas and Larry really listened and understood the look we were going for and produced exactly what we wanted. His execution was perfect, his flowers of the highest quality, his delivery was exactly on time and his price was extremely fair. Best of all he was a joy to communicate with -- not only very professional, but also delightfully fun. Incidentally, all of our communications were initially by phone, but mostly by e-mail and he still was able to grasp and perform. I could not recommend him more highly and wish I had more occasions to partake of his services. That I never got to actually meet Larry in person was a great disappointment.

Larry rocked it out for us in the flower department on our wedding day. Everything was beautiful and I could not believe everything for the price compared to other estimates. He was super reliable communicating via e-mail and was so nice! You can tell he loves what he does. I could not recommend him more! Everyone commented on his arrangements, especially on the large mantle at our venue, which was his idea since he was familiar with it. Floral Genius!

I can not say enough wonderful things about Flowers by Larry. As soon as I spoke to Larry on the phone, I knew he was the one who would transform my "Hauntingly Beautiful Halloween" Wedding vision into a reality. He did such an exquisite job on my bouquet and all the men's boutonnieres. He decorated the ceremony space perfectly. The reception table centerpieces and flowers on the fireplace were stunning. I was looking for more than just flowers in a mason jar and Larry was able to deliver with exquisite velvet covered branches/flowers alternating with gorgeous candelabras w/draping flowers. He was not only very affordable but did an amazing job!

I read review after review praising Larry and his work, but working with him for our destination wedding in Asheville still completely exceed our expectations! From the first meeting, Larry understood my vision for the day. He shaped the mood of evening, had an eye for the smallest details, was enormously patient with my last minute questions, and took the time to wrap my bouquet with lace from my mother's wedding dress. Larry did wonders with our small floral budget -- we gave him a very long wish list and prepared to be told to be more realistic, but he delivered every item beautifully. We received so many compliments, and we highly recommend Larry and his team!

We absolutely LOVED working with Larry. He was truly our favorite vendor that we engaged with throughout the entire wedding planning process. Larry's humor and wit put my mom and I both at ease and made it very easy for us to make decisions together. He has impeccable taste and will go above and beyond to fit in any budget and still fulfill a particular vision.
