  Amazing! And helpful!

  We have had cakes here in the past so we already knew what we were gonna get and that it was going to be amazing! What the shocker really was, was the size of the cake! It was so big! But sooooo yummy! Thank you! They even helped when we were in a bind so thank you!

  Flowers was absolutely incredible! I had a Christmas wedding this year and one of my favorite seasonal foods is orange cranberry muffins. Flowers made that into a cake flavor for me!!! Every single person I spoke to said it was the best wedding cake they've ever had. It was orange cake with cranberry whip cream filling which they used fresh cranberries! It is literally one of the best things I've ever eaten in my entire life. I also came in with a photo of what I wanted and they said no problem and it was PERFECT. My family has been going to this bakery since they opened justfor even a cup of coffee or grabbing an assorted box of treats because everything they bake is just perfection. When I told my parents I wanted to use flowers bakery for my wedding cake, I had no doubt in my mind it would be anything but the most delicious cake ever!!!

  This cake was perfect! It was a 10! Light, not too sweet, moist with buttercream frosting that was so pure. I know that everything this bakery turns out is good as I have been customer for birthday cakes and other desserts. However, this cake blew me away! It was beautiful and delicious! Since my daughter was married abroad we had 2 previous cakes. This cake for the U.S. reception hands down was the best one!

  We got both our wedding cake and our rehearsal dinner cake at Flowers and they were both beautiful and delicious. I would say the wedding cake was more beautiful and the rehearsal dinner cake was more delicious. The wedding cake was a strawberry peach custard and people commented that it was very good (since wedding cakes are usually not very tasty, we were very happy with that). The rehearsal dinner cake was a dark and white chocolate mousse and people loved it (I had initially wanted the mousse as our wedding cake but it wouldn't have been as easy to cut).
  
  Service-wise, Flowers was great. We ordered our cake a month before the wedding and they were able to help us (it may have helped that the wedding was on a Sunday in December so I would recommend giving them more time than that). They delivered the cake to our venue on time and in perfect condition.

  If you don't want to spend more on a cake than on the wedding dress, visit Flowers Bakery. I found their prices reasonable and the selection of simple cake designs adequate. The cake itself was delicious in two alternating flavors. They were flexible to change the size of the cake needed just 5 days before the wedding.

  The cake was the most touted part of the wedding, and it was a great wedding. It looked great and tasted even better. The price was fabulous and they worked with us to create the exact look and flavor that we were after. I can't wait until the anniversary for the cake alone.

  I've had a lot of cake in my lifetime, but seriously, our wedding cake was the BEST. I was looking for a bakery near us in Silver Spring, but many of them were either overpriced, or they were too busy to do a tasting for us. I found Flowers Bakery Cafe on Yelp, and I called just a few days before, and I asked for a tasting, and Eduardo (the owner) prepared several different types of cake for us to try. My then fiance (now husband) doesn't like lemon flavored desserts, but after tasting the lemon cake there, he suggested one of our tiers be lemon! I asked for a custom dulce de leche (caramel) / strawberry cake, and it was WONDERFUL. We also did a dessert assortment of different pastries and our guests LOVED them. Not only was it great, but the price quoted was completely affordable. If you want to get the contract in writing, it's best to go in person and get a copy because this shop doesn't really email that much. I also dropped off a specific handmade cherry blossom decoration and they did a wonderful job incorporating it onto the cake. I highly recommend them!!!

  Our wedding cake was so delicious! However, it turned out looking a little different from the photos. The staff there was incredibly nice and it was a great value!!

  We loved using Flowers for our wedding cake. We did a tasting with JK and it was clear that they could way out bake the competition. We didn't want a standard wedding looking cake, so we ordered two 16" mousse cakes. FYI, this is a much cheaper option and looked beautiful on our table. They arrived on time and beautifully decorated to our venue. Our guests were raving about how good they were. I was a little nervous about Flowers' paper receipt system. When I went in to adjust our order it took them a minute to find our order- and they couldn't find a record of what I'd paid. Save your receipts!

  Flowers Bakery was recommended to me by a co-worker. It was fantastic!!!! I called a few bakeries and couldn’t believe the price of cakes! When I contacted Flowers Bakery their price was by far the cheapest. My fiancé and I went in for a cake tasting and absolutely LOVED the cake! It was moist and the fillings were to die for. We had a hard time picking the fillings because they were all so delicious! I wanted a heart shaped cake and a lot of places wouldn’t do that without that hard icing. Flowers Bakery not only made me a 4 tiered heart shaped cake, but used the soft, butter icing on the cake. Our wedding cake was delicious and beautiful! I would highly recommend Flowers Bakery to any bride looking for a great tasting cake at a cheap price!

  I went to Flowers Bakery because I had a previously wonderful experience. I requested a gluten-free cake from them, due to health reasons, and they did not deliver. I learned the day after my wedding that they made the cake completely non-gluten-free. Luckily I had been warned that day, or I would've been very sick. The cake itself was a gift from a family member, so I was not the one to communicate the concern with the bakery following the wedding. However, to make up for the mistake they made me and my husband a replacement topper. This was a wonderful gesture, but it did not negate the lack of communication that occurred prior to the wedding and the grand mistake made. On a positive note, the guests all said the cake was delicious. There is no doubt that they make amazing cakes!

When it was late arriving, our wedding coordinator called to find out where it was and was told it was on the way. When it hadn't showed up an hour later, she called back and no one answered the phone. No one answered for the rest of the night. We found out later, they had another wedding that day and thought she was from that wedding when they told her the cake was on the way. They completely forgot to pull our cake off the board and make it. It's unfortunate and definitely something the rest of my vendors had never experienced in all their years of service. Luckily, my wedding coordinator was awesome, and her assistant went out and got a cake. They decorated it with the flowers from my florist, and my husband and I had something for the cake-cutting! The only reason I gave Flowers Bakery two stars for "Responsiveness" is they did immediately refund all our money after the wedding and were apologetic. I guess you can't have your cake and eat it too.
