As stunning as it was delicious!
Beautiful, beautiful, beautiful and SO delicious. Brie and the Flourish team did an exceptional job with our wedding cake, working with us to stick within our budget while achieving the our dream design. They were happy to arrange a second tasting to allow us to make sure we were getting the flavors and combinations we were most excited by. The sugar flowers on the cake looked completely real and were absolutely stunning, and the result was more than we could have hoped for. This was hands-down the food highlight for me at our wedding!

I cannot describe my gratitude towards Flourish and how absolutely perfect, seamless, and DELICIOUS it was to work with them! We had a delightful time getting to choose our flavors and meet with the Flourish team at their bakery. They make you feel so incredibly special and provide you with one on one attention. Flourish brought our cake vision to life by utilizing our custom monogram and bringing the lace details from my veil to life on the cake as well. It was not only stunning but insanely delicious! We had guests gushing over the three different flavors we picked! Flourish was always very communicative and seamlessly worked alongside our other vendors. -

We LOVED Bria and Flourish Cakes. Most wedding vendors are great at what they do, but there are some that go the extra mile to really stand out -- Bria is one of these. Her cakes are an artistic masterpiece, they taste delicious, and the level of customization that you can do is incredible. We got a 3-tier cake where each tier was a different cake that we got to custom build (for the same price!), and even though we majorly hyped up the cake before the wedding, it still exceeded expectations for most of our guests. Finally, Bria herself is a gem -- her passion for her craft shines through in every interaction, and we loved just hanging out with her! Highly highly recommended. -

Bria made not one by two cakes for us! We held a small ceremony in my parents backyard during the height of covid for which she made the most beautiful mini-cake for our summer wedding. This past December she also made the most gorgeous christmas inspired wedding cake for our large reception. She puts a lot of thought into the initial sketches of the cakes and then makes them come alive. Only wish we had a third reason for one of her beautiful cakes. -

We worked with Flourish to design a small cake for 10 guests at our recent wedding. We took full advantage of the cake tasting and stuffed ourselves with different combinations of cake flavors, buttercream fillings and other additions. Bria was tons of fun to work with and she helped guide us to an amazing cake featuring alternating layers of chocolate and almond cake with coffee buttercream between two layers and dark chocolate ganache with a caramel drizzle between the third. We also added their chocolate crunchies and all of our guests said they were the tastiest component of the entire cake. If you're considering working with Flourish, and no matter what other flavors you decide on, add in those chocolate crunchies! We picked a simple semi-naked white buttercream finish and loved the simple yet classic final design. We felt the price was more than fair, especially considering the quality of the final cake. Next to actually getting married, this cake was the biggest highlight of our entire wedding celebration. -

Flourish is AMAZING! I have been working with Bria for years as a wedding planner, and I knew there was nobody else I would rather have as my wedding cake baker. She outdid herself with design and of course, as always, the flavors themselves were delicious! Do yourself a favor and book Flourish Cake Design! -

Bria was an absolute dream to work with! My husband and invited both of our mom's to join us for the tasting, which was a highlight of our wedding planning process! I didn't think I wanted to serve cake at our wedding (thought about serving donuts instead) but after our tasting I was SOLD. Each cake combo we tried was better than the next - it was so hard to select just three flavors to serve to our guests!! We received so many compliments on our cake and the design was everything I hoped and dreamed it would be. Bria also made an INCREDIBLE gingerbread card box for us, modeled after Miami University's Upham Hall (where my husband and I attended college). To say our guests were blown away would be an understatement. The detail she put into this gingerbread house was breathtaking. From the sugar glass windows, to the battery operated lights to illuminate both the inside and the mini lantern lights on the outside of the hall, to the bell tower at the top - every little detail was PERFECT. We had the pleasure of working with Bria over the last few months.
She not only made our wedding cake but she made cupcakes for my intimate bridal shower with my friends, she made a GORGEOUS cake for my wedding shower and then she made a SHOWSTOPPER for our wedding cake. Cake is something that's very important to me. I remember my childhood birthday parties and the joy that cake brought me when I saw it and took my first bite.... It was something that was more important to me than my wedding dress itself. Both of those three instants with seeing and eating her cakes brought me back to those same happy memories of my childhood. Thank you Bria for being a part of the happiest time of my life and also making it special for the others that saw and ate your cake. Amazing work! I was clueless on trying to get a cake picked out for my wedding. I live in Texas and couldn't make it up to Chicago,IL just for a cake tasting. But Bria was friendly kept in contact with me and made it easy for me to work with her. She asked what I wanted, sketched it out and sent it to me. I agreed! The price on my cake was so affordable, my cake looked like a million dollar cake. On my wedding day I couldn't believe my eyes on what a beautiful cake I had on my big day. The cake was delicious all my guest loved it. I will make a trip to the shop everytime I visit Chicago, just to have a taste of some amazing cake.Flourish Cake Design's reply:

Last minute savior
Our original cake designer went MIA just a few months before the wedding and we were so lucky to find Bria when we did. She was extremely flexibility and accommodating to our needs. She produced a beautiful cake and everyone at the wedding was in awe when they saw it.Flourish Cake Design's reply:

From the minute we met Bria, we knew she would be able to execute our ideas for the perfect wedding cake. She is pleasant, professional, responsive and was not aggressive in her presentation which shows that she is confident in her work. The cake not only was aesthetically pleasing in which all of our guests talked about after wedding, but most importantly, the cake was delicious!

We absolutely loved the personable and professional demeanor from Bria and the staff at Sugar Fixe Patisserie ( I know they have recently moved from this location) from consultation to tasting. We honestly felt very well cared for...it was truly a great experience. Bria worked with me and my ideas for the design of our wedding cake, and I felt as though I had nothing to worry about! The presentation for the tasting was so fantastic, We found it difficult to chose just one flavor and chose the carrot cake and red velvet cake. They were moist and rich..my mouth is watering just thinking about it. We loved the frosting...there was a decadent lychee rose frosting for the red velvet cake and for our carrot cake..the cream cheese frosting melted in our mouths. Almost a year later and my friends and family are still raving... The design was spot on to what I envisioned and we were so grateful for their talented and creative work. I recommend them all the time... Oh, and be sure to indulge in the bakery goods... You wont be disappointed! Thank you Bria and staff. You were all amazing...

Bria is AMAZING! From start to finish she was always happy to answer any questions I had, she was absolutely so kind and so professional. I found her with a simple google search and I thought her cakes looked beautiful, but I’ve had beautiful cakes before and the taste was horrible. We decided to order a sample from her and instantly we both were in love. Every flavor cake, filling, and frosting we tried was magnificent. The cake melts in your mouth because it’s so soft and moist. The fruit fillings were fresh. The buttercream icing tasted like she had been in the kitchen all morning whipping it up with her bare hands. We wanted to keep ordering samples so that we could taste the entire menu (and we are very plain vanilla kind of people). We also thought the pricing was a little high but I honestly feel like the money spent on our cake was the BEST money we spent on the whole wedding! I was so bummed that we didn’t get any cake at our wedding because guests were literally smuggling multiple slices out of the venue! If you are deciding between flourish cake design and another baker, please… choose flourish cake design. You won’t regret it! -
