My husband and I had a horrible time finding a wedding company that seemed like they actually cared about us. The first time we talked to Gayle on the phone, she made us feel like family and she took time to understand us as a couple. That's when we realized having a small beach ceremony was exactly what we needed. Weddings on a Whim made everything so simple and stress-free. Gayle provided all the information we needed, especially since my family had never been to Treasure Island before. I am so grateful for the wonderful people who helped make my wedding magical. They were there every step of the way and kept up communication. They were understanding if I wanted to add or remove anything from the package we selected and made our dream a reality. They were honest about expectations and provided a lot of advice on preventing any wedding mistakes!
We weren't just customers to them, and it showed. The look on Gayle's face as she was reading our ceremonies was that of pure love for us, which I'll never forget. -

PLEASE PLEASE book with Weddings on a Whim. The whole experience was just incredible. I got married 3/21/26 on Sand Key Beach. Gayle had my back since day one. She was so personable (literally felt like I was talking to my Grandma). She responds so quickly. I am one to send choppy messages since my ideas all come at different times. She makes sure to respond to each and every question in detail. I had a dilemma pop up a couple weeks before the wedding, even though it had nothing to do with Weddings on a Whim...she still sat on the phone with me for hours getting to the bottom of it (including her silly/witty comments to make me feel better). She is the most wholesome person you will ever meet. I also got the pleasure of meeting the rest of her team. They were just as helpful and really made the whole wedding such a breeze for me.
Also, the price.... are you kidding me?! Sooo cheap. Everything came in a beautiful little package. There was no pain of searching up different venues, it was all included (officiant- the lovely Gayle, readings, music, decor, photographer) AND if you book the Queen Calypso (like 10 min away) for your reception.. they have a VERY AFFORDABLE package as well. They also have such lovely people to coordinate with.
My whole experience was amazing. I cannot recommend Weddings on a Whim enough. Please book through them. You will not regret it! I miss my wedding already! -

We wanted something small, on a beach with minimal to no stress and Gayle did just that for us! I am so grateful for her and her entire team who helped us make this day so special and stress free. From beginning (the planning process) to the very end (day of the wedding to the very end of the ceremony) she made everything go so smoothly and when I say stress free I really mean no stress whatsoever! I stress about the smallest things so for her to make me feel no stress on one of the most important days of my life, I couldn’t be more thankful for her and her team! Not one thing went wrong, there was no part that didn’t run smoothly. To top it all off, Gayle is the sweetest person ever, and her whole team are all so nice, so professional and so welcoming! -

Absolutely perfect!

Booking with confidence
8 years ago weddings on a whim prepared our wedding blessing it was amazing & now they are organising a very special surprise engagement on the same beach for my granddaughter as her partner. He is going to propose and she has no idea. We are in the uk but have received such personal but professional assistance from Gayle at weddings on a whim. So it was no wonder that when we finally met Gayle on the day of our wedding, she put us right at ease with her beautiful personality & good humour. Outstanding experience!
Weddings on Whim was so professional, Gayle treated us like her own family was getting married, one of sweetest people I've met.
Our wedding was on Sand Key Beach in Clearwater FL, we live locally and when my husband and I decided we knew we wanted to elope and do something very small and intimate. We were doing some research and Weddings on Whim came up and they were a perfect fit.
They had an option to pay just for the location and service itself no decorations or music exactly what we wanted. The price was unbeatable, we only had to go to the courthouse and buy the license prior to the wedding! Other than that Gayle sent a list of what we desired for our wedding vows and important details. We chose the Irish Blessing for ours and my goodness she made the experience magical.
She treated my family with care and showed us so much kindness. Our wedding was gorgeous and I am so happy we chose Weddings on a Whim. Thank you fo such a amazing experience!!! ❤️❤️ -

The officiant was perfect for us, and delivered a beautiful ceremony. The production manager was creative and friendly, and the photographer is top-notch, caring, and professional.

Gayle walked me through everything I needed to do. When a hurricane threatened to cancel our wedding, she and Matt went above and beyond to make sure we were able to get married 2 days early. All our beach wedding dreams come true!!

Wonderful from start to finish.
I recently planned an elopement wedding for my sister who was visiting Florida from Canada. My sister and her fiancé have been together for 29 years and after all that time of waiting to have a wedding, they couldn’t have had a more intimate and beautiful ceremony. Gayle with Weddings on a Whim was beyond wonderful to work with. From the initial email she was attentive to details, prompt with her replies, and very in tune with what the couple wanted. She has a level of discernment that is only possible when you not only love what you do but you are meant to be doing it. She was able to know exactly what the couple wanted after a few quick emails. She was beyond kind, warm, and she went out of her way to ensure that their day was successful. So much so that she even had them meet her early and follow her vehicle to the place of the ceremony and took the most beautiful photos of them afterwards. We all have so much gratitude for Gayle and can’t thank her enough for making my sisters dream of a wedding come true. -

My fiancé and I booked a vacation to Clearwater, FL in February 2022 before he proposed to me. Once he popped the question in March and I started to look into planning a wedding, I jokingly turned to him one night and said "Why don't we just get married while we are on vacation?" Here we are now in August and we are happily married, all thanks to Weddings on a Whim!
We decided to fully elope - just the two of us. No family or friends...which definitely makes things a lot easier when trying to plan. Weddings on a Whim made planning an elopement so easy, even all the way from Maryland. They were always responsive, kind, and helpful every step of the way.
When it came time for our wedding day, we couldn't have asked for a smoother day. It was everything that we had hoped for and more. We cannot thank Gayle and her team enough for making our day so perfect. -

Exactly What I Wanted
My new husband and I are so thrilled with WeddingsOnaWhim! I wanted a sunset beach wedding and I got everything I could have asked for. The setup was perfect. The music sounded great. Saunceria was so incredibly helpful. We had to use a “beach wheelchair” to get my mom onto the beach and Saunceria helped get my mom in the wheelchair. One of the other staff members helped to “steer” her on the sand. We couldn’t have done it without their help! Our Officiant Kim did a wonderful job of bringing us into married bliss. I totally think Gayle and the entire team do a fantastic job and highly recommend them! -

We decided at the last minute to put a wedding together on Indian Rocks Beach (3 1/2 weeks!) After calling several wedding companies and feeling slightly frustrated and thinking maybe we needed more time to plan, I found Weddings on a Whim and contacted them. I spoke with Gayle the owner and what a nice experience it was! Gayle was so kind and willing to help me and accomodated what we were looking for. There was no more thought that this couldnt be done in such a short time. The whole team is just superb! From beginning to end, this was pretty much no stress for me. My now husband Tommy and I highly recommend Weddings on a Whim!!! Gayle, Saunceria, and Jerry were an amazing team of professionals to work with! They were efficient, helpful, kind, and extremely flexible! We were unable to carry out or planned large wedding in July due to COVID so we had to change our plan. WOW was the absolute answer to our prayers to assist in carrying out our small, safe, sunset beach ceremony! Amazing experience
Gayle was a delight to work with. Our Jamaica trip booked last November was cancelled at the last minute due to the pandemic. I literally had two weeks to get our elopement beach wedding together to save our wedding date. These folks helped me get it done in three days. I was so relieved! Their team had everything ready to go on time, had a beautiful ceremony and awesome photos afterwards. I would highly recommend them to anyone planning a beach wedding in the area. Great experoence!
We did our ceremony at Sand Key Beach Park near Clearwater Beach. Everything went as planned for our ceremony. We got to pick what was said in the ceremony. It was really nice to get to include a message for my late father, and also one for our unborn baby. We were sent an itinerary of the ceremony as well as reminders of what to bring which was really helpful. Gayle did a great job with the ceremony, Jerry took amazing pictures for us and everyone else on their team did a great job with set up and organizing everything. Thank you all! Joe steered us to a quiet intimate place on Treasure Island. It was a good value. I’m sure we would have preferred less wind that day, but it was blissfully cooler than our summer heat. Gayle and the team were fantastic. We planned the wedding from Maine and Gayle couldn't have made it any easier. From the beginning, she was friendly, positive and responsive. Even the week before the wedding, we needed to ask Gayle to be a backup officiant if we needed it, she was so flexible and accommodating. The day of the wedding went perfect, from the setup, music and the ceremony.

Our 6.9.19 Clearwater Beach Wedding
Weddings on a Whim, Gayle and Joe were amazing. Even though we knew there was a chance of my perfect beach wedding getting rained out last minute, Gayle, Joe and team still set up the most beautiful set up on the beach. Looked just like all the pictures on their site. Unfortunately a monsoon blew in right before the start of the ceremony and we were unable to get married on the beach. The team was completely prepared, had a back up setting for indoors and the wedding continued as scheduled and on time. They completely communicated from the time I contracted them until after to say thank you! I would highly recommend their service. I even want to use them again hopefully to renew our vows and get to do it in the beach this time. -

A Dream Come True!
Our wedding ceremony was perfect! We couldn't have asked for anything more. Weddings On a Whim worked with us from our initial contact till the very end. They were very professional and catered to our needs. No number of questions were too many.
We absolutely loved everything they did for us. They even went so far as to helping us with emergency pocket squares. They truly went above and beyond.

We absolutely could not have picked a better company to work with!!! My husband was actually the one that found Weddings On A Whim, after we decided to get married while vacationing in Florida. Gayle was phenomenal to work with! She responded quickly to all of my questions, and made every accommodation for the changes we needed to make prior to our ceremony. All of our planning was done via e-mail and phone calls, and it all went quite smoothly. She also matched us with an amazing photographer, who far exceeded our expections! Fast forward to the day of the ceremony, and our first official meeting with Gayle. She was the most perfect addition to our celebration of love, her presence is vibrant, and she exudes peacefulness! A wedding even I could plan!
Everything was made so easy it is clear that planning from another state has been streamlined by Gayle & Joe. Talking directly by phone is an option, but I was able to handle everything via e-mail without any issues. I would recommend this option if you are looking for a beach wedding. We were so nervous when we arrived, but the team was so friendly that we felt comfortable immediately after interacting with them. It was a very positive experience! -

Planning a wedding from NY in FL was overwhelming. I was referred from another raving fan of this family. Gail had communicated from day 1, giving simple and elegant options. Each time I saw a new wedding post I kept adding wants, and with a quick yes to every request made it so easy. She provided support from color matching to weather fears. It was easier to plan our wedding with them than any other of the details. They provided a variety of choices of our ceremony and when I added a few tweaks along the way, it was always met with love. It helps that they are a amazing team as well and that their love for each other transcends in all that they do. We are so glad that we went with their team (all of them are amazing!!) because we had the most relaxed beautiful wedding we could have asked for and I will always be thankful! They all are the best!!

Beautiful venue, superbly decorated. Joe was an excellent officiant. Put everyone at ease and made our guests part of the ceremony, not just spectators. Would highly recommend Weddings on a Whim.

I talked to her on the phone before I even looked at the reviews and I knew I wouid love her and once I looked at the reviews I knew alot of other people thought the same way! She set up the photographer (Jerry) for us too which made it so much easier and he was great as well! We felt like we already knew them both! We had an excellent experience and I would definitely recommend them both!

Our first communication with them was about 2 weeks before the ceremony and only required a series of about 6 emails. I appreciated the convenience. They were both very personable, professional, and sincere.

Nichole Sent on 12/28/2017Joe and Gayle made me and my husbands wedding dreams come true! We did not want a huge wedding, but didn't want a tiny one either. We chose Indian Rocks Beach where he proposed. Weddings on a Whim had no problems setting up for 40 guests. The sound technician ensured that the aisle song was started exactly where i wanted it and Joe made sure the ceremony was not only perfect but also light-hearted as well, which we loved. The setting was perfect and it was just such a beautiful day all around! The only thing I WOULD change is that if we had the chance to repeat our special day, we would in a heartbeat!
