Amazing staff.
The manager is wonderful, very understanding and pays attention to detail. They catered our wedding as well and the food was so delicious. Amazing in Every Way!
I have only good things to say about my experience with Five Oaks Country Club. My husband and I got married there October 2018 and couldn’t have asked for better people to work with! They were super affordable and extremely helpful in every way. Not to mention the venue is beautiful. Our dream wedding was here - highly recommend!
I got married at Five Oaks in August of 2017, and I would choose this venue all over again. Our day was a dream come true, yet humble and affordable. Our guests still talk about our day, and I have had several people tell me it was the most beautiful wedding they've ever attended. Sitting at the highest point in Wilson Co. this site is BEAUTIFUL. When you get married outside, you and your guests have an amazing view. The inside of Five Oaks is equally great, and a very elegant experience. I would say that you can very comfortably fit 120 people into the main room and still have a nice dance floor area. One other thing I truly love about this venue is it already has so much natural beauty - so I didn't have to go overboard with extra decorations and start with a blank canvas like I would at so many other venues I had looked into. The venue has a very high ceiling and a lot of windows, which showcase the outside view. It is also great that they make all of your food for you (so no worries about any outside caterer) - and the food is GREAT! Many different options. You can also rent out their board room (works great for your buffet area - this is what I did) and you can also have some of your guests sit on the veranda for extra space purposes, but either way, guests love that view and that little area to walk out and take pictures on. What's more? They are incredibly personable and helpful here. My event coordinator, Ashley, was so kind and always quickly answered my questions. She helped me to feel at ease for my day and everything felt so laid back, which is exactly what I wanted. I went in feeling prepared and like I had a great helper that would assist with everything running smoothly. They also allow you to use their locker room areas to get ready and relax in, which was great! What's more? They do not make you feel pressured for time or like you have to rush - you can just enjoy your time and savor the day. Lastly, it's nice that it is located in a gorgeous subdivision in Lebanon away from the hustle and bustle of Nashville - therefore, you have zero parking worries, as they have a nice big, free, lot right there. I also highly recommend that couples take some photos at sunset here if they can. Though we took some photos at a nearby mansion as well, some of our favorite photos were right here on site - especially at sunset. I cannot say enough about this venue. You definitely cannot beat the view of this venue. We loved the privacy that we had for dinner, as well as, the party. Rachel, the event planner, is wonderful to work with and went out of her way to make sure everything was perfect and that we had plenty of space and time to set up. Five Oaks was a wonderful venue to hold my August Wedding Reception. It has the most stunning view of the city, especially at night. Five Oaks has a beautiful set up on top of a hill overlooking the rolling hills of lebanon. The large windows in the back wall of the main dining room give the perfect view needing minimal decorations. There were definitely pros and cons working with this venue.
Pros:
-Location, location, LOCATION - The venue is at the highest point in the city and is absolutely gorgeous!
-The food is delicious
-Some of the rentals are included (but not ALL of them - That's where they get you!)
-They let me bring in flowers and decorations the day before, which saved me a headache on wedding day
-On-site area to get ready - We brought in a hair & make-up stylist for the girls, and it was nice to be right there
-Venue is big - Inside and outside spaces available
-Staff is very friendly!! That's why it's hard to write parts of this review.
Cons:
-The event planner is very unorganized. I was very displeased with her lack of organization and professionalism.
-They told me that tables, chairs, silverware, plates and drinkware were all included. I didn't find out until about a month before the wedding that they didn't have enough chairs and I was going to have to rent them. That cost nearly $2,000!! And there was a big mix-up with the chair pick-up. Thank goodness I was on my honeymoon and they had to figure that one out on their own!
-I didn't get a final total until literally two days before the wedding. I was required to send them final numbers two weeks before, and they were supposed to send me a bill within a few days. That didn't happen. And I had to spend an hour of my day on the phone with them literally doing the math for them! Not cool!
-Everything ended up costing way more than expected/agreed upon
Overall, our wedding was beautiful and our guests really enjoyed the venue. However, I wouldn't use them for another event. Dana, the head chef, is amazing and was a LIFE-SAVER! But until the event coordinator gets her act together, I can't recommend this venue.There were definitely pros and cons working with this venue.
