Cannot recommend FIVE enough!

We held our wedding reception at FIVE on 10/12/19. We booked the venue in August of 2018 after seeing a number of venues in the Twin Cities. Nothing compared to the modern/upscale industrial feel that FIVE has. Their price is unbeatable and they are so easy to work with. They have a lot of fantastic vendor partners and are willing to help you with any crazy or unique ideas that you may have (please see more details below). We originally did our planning with Shauna but after she moved we began working with Renee who was absolutely fantastic. She made us feel so calm and secure that our day would go just as we had hoped for. Cannot recommend FIVE enough!

We had 175 guests, 20 guest tables, a pizza buffet, a photo booth, a dessert table and a popcorn bar table. FIVE did a fantastic job helping us coordinate all of our special requests (we had a mobile wood fire pizza oven for dinner and individualized MN craft beer flights).

We were so happy to have booked the FIVE for our reception and would not have chosen any other location. Danielle, Shauna, and everyone we encountered exemplified professionalism. Our needs we well addressed throughout the planning process. On the big day, Shauna was well accessible and made sure the entire evening flowed as seamlessly as possible. We simply cannot express how impressed and thankful we were about our time with Shauna and the FIVE. The beautifully renovated space is so well styled that it stood out on its own, requiring minimal added decor. The top floor housed our 200 guests comfortably. And above all, our guests loved being at the FIVE and we had so many inquiries about the space. Every aspect was perfect. We will always think fondly of this location and hope to return for any future event.

My husband and I had both our ceremony and reception held at FIVE Event Center, and we could not have asked for a better venue!

FIVE is such a unique and beautiful space. The classic brick held over from the building's days as a police precinct provided a wonderful backdrop for our ceremony and pictures, and the architectural updates helped create a hip, modern atmosphere our guests absolutely loved. We wanted a venue that could host both our ceremony and reception, and FIVE handled it with ease. The upstairs accommodated our 140 guests for the ceremony, dinner, and dance, while the downstairs had enough space for guests to socialize as the staff quickly flipped the upstairs from ceremony to dinner. The on-site bridal suite was large enough for my bridesmaids to get ready, and had space for a makeup artist to be brought in.

The area surrounding FIVE is amazing, also. Our guests loved exploring the neighborhood nearby, and our photographer found wonderful places for pictures right outside the venue.

The staff at FIVE were absolutely amazing, especially our event coordinator Shauna. My husband and I never felt like a burden to the staff, and everyone was super helpful and friendly. Shauna responded to my many (and random!) questions in a timely fashion throughout our wedding planning process. Shauna and others were true professionals!

My husband and I went with FIVE's preferred vendors for catering, DJ, and bar, and did not regret any of our choices! Green Mill Catering was absolutely delicious, everyone loved our Buttercream Bakery cake, bar services were fantastic, and Instant Request did a fabulous job entertaining our guests.

You will not go wrong choosing FIVE Event Center for your wedding!

We had such a wonderful experience in having our wedding at the FIVE Event Center! The space was absolutely stunning and Shauna, the event coordinator, was helpful every step of the way! FIVE event center totally nailed everything we wanted and more for our wedding day! I was an oddball bride as I have never been one to dream of a wedding day or be super into the planning process - yet I still had a vision and some important aspects I wanted our day to encompass. FIVE event center staff were beyond awesome, the ease of the planning and making changed up until the last minute was so amazing, and our guests loved the space just as much as we did! It is such a beautiful space that it needs minimal decorations - and the bars downstairs and upstairs are so convenient (especially upstairs - right by the dance floor!!). I cannot stress enough how great and easy Shauna made it leading up to the big day - and on our actual wedding day her and her assistant were so awesome as well! I will always recommend this place for events!

This is an amazing wedding venue! We had our cocktail hour on the main level and dinner and dance upstairs. Our guests absolutely loved the venue and thought that it was a beautiful space. Shauna and the rest of the staff at FIVE were very responsive to all of our questions and extremely helpful on the day of our event. We had a wonderful experience!

The staff there is very knowledgeable and thorough. They make your day your day. Shauna helped us get a keg of my husband's favorite seasonal beer. She also helped us make our day our day. I'm glad that we worked with them. They're rock stars.

Our reception was flawless at FIVE. Shauna was so great about answering all my last minute questions, was so knowledgeable about bar service and in general was everything we could've asked for in a venue coordinator. We have received so many compliments on how gorgeous the space was and we had the most perfect night at FIVE. Thank you!

FIVE Event Center was the perfect spot for our wedding reception! We fell in love with the venue the first time we walked in - the space was exactly what we were looking for. The wood floors, brick walls, modern décor, the two huge bars, the fact that we got to use both stories throughout the night, and the reasonable price made our decision pretty simple. Shauna was awesome to work with and helped us out a ton when last minute changes popped up in our schedule a week before the wedding. All of our guests absolutely loved the venue and we got so many compliments on the space. We couldn't have imagined having our wedding anywhere else and would highly recommend this venue to anyone!

Five Event Center was a perfect venue for our daughters wedding celebration! Initially I worked with Danielle and could not say enough about her. She was very professional and knowledgeable, yet she was very personable. I left our first meeting feeling very confidnet in her abilities. A couple of weeks prior to the wedding, Danielle told me she was going to pursue other opportunities and I would be working with Shauna. I was a little nervous at first since I had not worked with Shauna, but she proved to be just as capable and professional. Everything went smoothly and the wedding was beautiful! I really appreciated their flexibility to our requests. All of the staff that I have worked with there are so nice and friendly. I loved having the 2 seperate floors (one for cocktails and the other for the ceromony, dinner and dance). On the day of the wedding, we had a lot of snow and icy roads. Five Event Center provided us with complimentary valet parking due to the weather. This was so appreciated and not expected. I would highly recommend this venue.

I have so many good things to say about FIVE. We had our wedding ceremony and reception in the space and the whole day was pretty much seamless. Danielle was amazing to work with and went above and beyond expectations, answering every question and call with so much patience and detail. Our Sunday brunch wedding was incredible, and we owe a lot of that to Danielle’s thoughtful coordination. I would recommend FIVE to anyone.

We recently had our wedding ceremony and reception at Five and it was amazing! Danielle our point of contact was great at answering all of our questions really quickly and she was great to work with the day of the wedding! Everyone that we worked with there was great! The venue itself is perfect! It is really pretty and it already has some decorations and lighting and so you don't have to add a lot more. From first time we saw the venue we could not imagine going anywhere else!

We loved using FIVE for our cocktail wedding reception in June! Danielle was amazing - so helpful, friendly, and reassuring. The venue itself has great character so decoration is easy. We used them for our bar as well and Danielle was helpful in choosing what we wanted and was spot on with quantity. So happy we chose FIVE!

My husband and I were married last Sunday at FIVE. We had our wedding ceremony and reception there. Danielle was wonderful to work with in helping us plan, and in making our wedding day so special.

She is fabulous to work with! She has a very upbeat attitude and would always get back to us right away when we had questions. My sister in law was intricate in helping us organize things from our end, and Danielle was very willing to work her as well. She helped us coordinate the valet (which was a big hit with our guests), worked with our cake and flower vendors, and even put up some decorations for us. No matter what we needed, Danielle was always willing to help.

Our wedding day was everything we had wanted and imagined, and Danielle was a huge part of making that happen! FIVE is a great venue and worked perfectly for what we wanted.

February 10, 2016 we had my daughter Kelly's and her wonderful husband Dan's wedding celebration. Danielle our event planner from FIVE helped us every step of the way. When we saw the venue we were blown away by how beautiful the space was. Danielle helped us plan from start to finish. Our photographer called 3 hours before the event to cancel because of illness and Danielle helped us find an awesome husband and wife team from 85Photography to step in. I only had 2 months to plan and expedite the event and couldn't have done it without Danielle. She went out of her way for several meetings we had and was always available to help. She accommodated our budget restraints and made costs very clear and affordable. Our 200+ guests continue to rave about the space and how much fun it was. I will continue to recommend this space to others. We will miss you Danielle. Wishing you continued success in all you do.

FIVE Event center was the perfect spot for our intimate, cozy and urban winter wedding. We absolutley loved working with Danielle and all of the staff at FIVE. They went above and beyond to make our wedding just what we wanted. They were professional, always in communication and allowed some flexibility for us to make the event just the way we wanted. We loved the space, both floors, the amount of bar space and really everything. FIVE is so beautiful already that we didn't need to bring in many decorations to make it look fantastic. We were so happy we chose Five Event Center as the venue for our wedding. We liked the fact that it could host both the ceremony and reception easily. It was perfect as guests could head downstairs for the cocktail hour while they transitioned the upstairs space. The building is unique, has a cool history, and is in a great location in uptown. Krista and the staff at Five were wonderful! She was always so friendly and happy to answer my many questions. They accommodated everything we needed and helped to make the day go super smoothly. It’s a beautiful and fun space with excellent service that made the night perfect!

I found FIVE Event Center on TheKnot.com and it was the only venue my husband and I chose to see. Krista was great at showing us around the venue and extremely helpful in answering all of our questions (and the many emails I sent her afterward, very promptly). We loved the history behind the building, and thought it was unique compared to other wedding reception venues we had been to for other weddings. We also loved that free parking was offered to our guests. Since we had a destination wedding, this reception was going to be a celebration of a marriage that had already taken place a few weeks earlier. We had dessert, a candy bar, photo booth, DJ and Video of our Wedding playing. We loved that there were two floors, and it's perfect for a mix and mingle type of wedding, but can easily be made to fit any event. We also loved that we didn't have to bring a lot in to decorate since the ambiance is perfect the way it is. We did not have one issue with this location and would do it all over if we could :) Definitely recommend this event center.

My husband and i looked at a lot on venues. We were getting to the point where we were about to settle on a place because we just weren't finding the " this is it" place. As soon as we walked into the Five Event Center we knew that this was the place we wanted to get married. The staff is wonderful to work with, answers any questions that you have, and very quick at responding to those questions. They were very patient with us when we were deciding how we wanted things. I'm not saying this just because it was my wedding, but it was hands down the best wedding I've ever been to, just because of the five. I would defiantly in the future consider renting out this location for a different occasion. I recommend this place to anyone i know that is getting married.

Walking into FIVE the first time I instantly knew that we would be married there. The venue is beautiful, modern and unique. What I didn't expect was the amazing service I would receive from that day until well after my wedding day. The staff is always available to answer questions and let you do (yet another) walk through of the venue. There weren't any surprises and everything we had talked about was done. They even handled my set-up and clean up including loading a trailer for us so we wouldn't have to do it ourselves. I worked in hospitality and saw many different events take place but I have never seen anywhere with this type of great service and professionalism. If you're looking for a venue do yourself a favor and stop by FIVE. You will be blown away! Thanks to Krista and the rest of the staff.

We LOVED this space! It is so funky and different and was incredibly elegant once we had it decorated for our reception. People raved about how cool the space was. It is not your typical ballroom or country club atmosphere.

The people that work at Five are so fun and flexible. I dealt with our event planner weekly and she was so on top of everything. We felt completely comfortable having our trust in her that the evening would be spectacular.

The only thing I would do differently is, because we drink a lot of wine with our family/friends, we would have done the specific brands of wine brought in for a fee. We went with the house wines and they were not a big hit. We were thinking that we didn't want to pay anything extra, but it's worth it.

I would absolutely use Five for any other event.

P.S. We had 130 people and I would not want to have more than 150 in the downstairs bar area for a cocktail hour. It would be crowded.

We had our wedding ceremony and reception at FIVE last month and it was a fantastic experience. Chelle was great to work with! She was incredibly helpful and quick to respond to emails. FIVE was the perfect venue for us, the space is amazing, modern, unique and fun. Everything, including the transition from ceremony to reception went perfectly! I received a lot of feedback from guests that LOVED the atmosphere. I am so happy with our choice, FIVE was wonderful!

My wedding was 12.1.12 and took place at the FIVE Event Center in Minneapolis, MN. I cannot rave enough about the level of service, professionalism and warmth that I received from Krista throughout the planning process and into the big day. This venue is hands-down the most modern and beautiful space I've seen and I've felt confident in my decision to choose FIVE from day one. With the day now behind me, I know I made the perfect choice. I enjoyed the flexibility of working with outside caterers and vendors of my choice to put together a reception that was reflective of my groom and I's style. Krista was terrific at staying in communication with me at all points of the planning process and touching base with all of my vendors for a streamlined and hassle-free evening. I would highly recommend FIVE Event Center above all others as the perfect venue for your wedding reception

Working Chelle and the entire staff at Five Event Center was more than an exceptional experience. I felt like I had a personal wedding coordinator at all points in the planning process and could not have asked for better. The venue was perfect for the feeling of my wedding I was going for from the lighting to the brick walls to the cocktail lounge. Our ceremony was beautiful, the transition from ceremony to reception was flawless and the staff anticipated our every move. Everyone at FIVE Event Center is so personable and fun! They made us feel like our wedding was the only one they had been planning for the last year and we couldn't be more grateful! Not only did FIVE help us with the details for the venue, but they provided us with a list of recommended caterers, photographers, bands/DJs and so much more! The staff at FIVE made the entire wedding planning experience so much easier and any time I had a question about anything pertaining to the wedding, my coordinator Kelly, was right there to help me and responded promptly to all my needs. Again, we are so grateful and I would tell anyone who is planning a wedding in the Minneapolis/St. Paul area to definitely consider FIVE. We’re so happy we decided to have our wedding ceremony and reception at FIVE Event Center. It was the perfect venue for the modern, fun, personal celebration we wanted. First, the building itself is amazing. It has the vibe of a cool, urban club or restaurant. Between the lighting, the furniture, and the painted walls, we did not need many decorations. We were also able to save money by choosing our own caterer (Jimmy John’s and Chipotle!), which most venues will not allow. The best part of having our wedding at FIVE was working with our event coordinator, Chelle. During the entire planning process (which took place over the course of 15 months), Chelle was extremely prompt and thorough in responding to our emails and phone calls. She listened to all our crazy ideas and found ways to make everything work. At our meeting one month prior to the wedding, I was beginning to feel nervous about making sure everything would come together without a hitch, and Chelle set me completely at ease. The week of the wedding, she checked and double-checked every detail and contacted our vendors to make sure our deliveries were coordinated. On the day of the wedding, everything turned out perfectly! We were able to enjoy our party without worrying about if there was enough food, if the tips would get to the vendors, or who would pack up our gifts. We would also recommend using the Apres Party Rental company, which works with FIVE.

We had our daughter's wedding ceremony and reception at FIVE in June. It was a wonderful experience, from the ease of booking and making arrangements to the day of the wedding and reception. The staff at FIVE were informative and helpful without making us feel pressured. We were able to have exactly the kind of wedding she had envisioned. We received many compliments from guests on the venue, saying it was one of the most fun weddings they had attended and that they loved the atmosphere at FIVE.

Absolutely the most unique space in Minneapolis for a wedding. I knew immediately after walking in that I needed to have my reception here. The staff was wonderful! Always answered any questions I had in a very timely manner.
We continue to recieve compliments on how awesome the venue was. We had the time of our lives.

From the first day we called FIVE to the days after our wedding, everything was extremely easy and well-managed. We held our reception only upstairs and it was the perfect setting. Jennifer and Chelle were extremely responsive at all hours of the day and any day of the week, and they thought of everything we would have forgotten. The only minor thing I'd improve on in the future is allowing people to keep tabs open at the bar, instead of requiring payment for each drink. This is only after our hosted bar was over anyway, but still, might even lead to more revenue if it could be managed. But that is not at all an important issue on your wedding day - book with FIVE and don't worry about anything else. They'll take care of it!

My husband and I did not want a stereotypical hotel ballroom for our reception. We wanted something classy, elegant, chic and fun....we also wanted to show off our city, so urban was a must. FIVE Event Center was the ideal location.

The Space is everything stated above plus it is very easy to get to and provides free parking. We decorated with votive candles and minimal flowers that we bought at the farmers market - the space is gorgeous on its own. We were able to have our guests gather on the main floor (picture the lounge of a restaurant) for drinks while we took a few quiet moments upstairs to ourselves. It was so fun to hear the noise build as more and more of our guests arrived. Finally, we were introduced as Mr. and Mrs. as we came down the stairs to join our guests. It was a wonderful and overwhelming feeling to be standing on the stairs and being able to see ALL of our closest friends and family. This also provided an easy way to say a few words to the group and then greet everyone individually before the whole group moved upstairs for food, toasts, drinks and dancing. The tremendous staff made the transition extremely smooth. Once upstairs, our guests were further impressed by how beautiful and modern the space was (picture part upscale restaurant and part dance club). Another benefit to mention is that it was equally as comfortable for guests who wanted to sit and have a conversation as it was for others who wanted to party and dance. The room's acoustics are set up so that you can easily carry on a conversation on one side of the room while watching the dance floor (and not have to scream over the music).

The Staff is AMAZING!!! I can't say enough about their professionalism, friendliness and how great a job they did. Jennifer was our main contact and she was outstanding! From the first time we met her, all the way through the planning process and even after our event (when I left my shoes there and she held on to them for a month). She took so much stress and responsibility off of our shoulders. We gave her our contacts for food, music, photos, etc and she organized everything. Again, I could go on for hours about how happy we both are. Additionally, I should mention the other staff...this sounds clich� but it's true, our guests actually commented on how friendly the staff was. Another great thing is that we didn't have to deal with a million questions about where, when, what, etc. because the staff took care of that.

Finally, and this may be hard to believe, our wedding budget was under $10,000. FIVE Event Center will work with you to meet your needs and vision for your event.

We could not imagine a better place for our wedding reception. I told Jennifer at FIVE that either my husband or I would be honored to tell others about our experience.

My new husband and I had a fabulous wedding ceremony and reception at FIVE Event Center. When we were looking for a venue, we toured FIVE and after that no other venue could even come close to competing with it. FIVE is gorgeously decorated and the staff is so helpful! I received prompt answers to all of my questions before and after we decided to book it for our wedding. All of our guests also fell in love with the space. We received so many compliments on what a beautiful and fun place FIVE is, and our guests were also very impressed with the quality of service! I am so glad we ended up choosing FIVE for our wedding, I wouldn't have changed a thing!!

I had an amazing time working with the staff at The Five Event Center. The site is absolutely beautiful so you save a lot of time and money since you don't really need decorations. I'm a big Pepsi drinker and they accomodated my request to carry only Pepsi products that night. :) I will always recommend this site to other brides and party planners. Please go and check them out if you are planning an event. It'll blow your mind away!!

We LOVED Five Event Center! The space is absolutley beautiful- it needed very little decoration. We also loved working with all the event planners there, they are all very nice and extremely quick to respond!

Working with FIVE Event Center was great. Everything was clearly layed out from the beginning. The service we received was always prompt and professional. We choose FIVE originally because of their flexibility in allowing outside catering and we were happy every step of the way with our decision. Every time we went to the space for a meeting or to set up we liked the space more and more. Our event went off without a hitch. At and after the event many of our guests commented on the unique and fun atmosphere as well as the quality of service from the staff.

We got married at the FIVE Event Center on 02/24/18 and it was perfect. When we first signed the contact, we worked with Danielle and she was fantastic. When Danielle obtained a new opportunity at a different venue we got to work with Shauna. Shauna was amazing to work with, especially when we made a bunch of last minute changes. She helped up finalize our timeline and other logistical matters as neither of us have been married before. On our wedding day, Shauna and Carmen helped to make sure everything went smooth for us (and it did!) Because we had our ceremony at the FIVE Event Center, we had to flip our ceremony room to the reception room while the guests had a cocktail hour. While they only had one hour to flip it, they did it seamlessly, even while we were taking family photos! For anyone looking for a venue with historic appeal, excellent wedding coordination, and a WOW factor, my husband and I highly recommend FIVE Event Center.

We knew the FIVE Event Center was going to be our reception site the moment we stepped in. It's incredibly reasonably priced and has a lot of character. The brick walls, wood floors, and stone steps give it such a classic, elegant feel and is SO much better than a typical hotel ballroom.

The staff (in particular Danielle) was incredible to work with. They were calm, cool, and collected the entire night which helped calm our own nerves right before everything started. They were available for questions always and got back to us right away. The two weeks leading up to the event Danielle reached out to us more than once to make sure we were doing okay and if we needed anything.

Since the bar details is done through FIVE Event Center we relied heavily on their advice on how much to offer and what tastes are generally good ideas. While we didn't have a full open bar (again, we were determined to stay on our predetermined budget), Danielle helped walk us through what we could provide within our budget and worked to get us the best price.

We truly couldn't have had the wedding we wanted without this event space and their fantastic staff. I would highly, highly recommend and if we were to do it over I think we'd choose the venue again!

The space itself is impressive. It struck the hip/urban/modern vibe that we were looking for in our wedding venue. My husband and I also appreciated being able to select from a number of preferred caterers...many of the spaces were considering had exclusive deals with a single (pricey) caterer. We worked with Kelsey, and I can't say enough good things about her. She was upbeat and easy to work with, always professional, and prompt to respond to my questions, which of course became more frequent as the big day approached. FIVE handled our ceremony, reception, and all of the beverages for our event, including a champagne pour for toasts right after dinner.Overall, we were both very happy with our selection. It was truly an unforgettable day!

FIVE was a great venue for our wedding. The location was perfect in Lyn/Lake, and the modern, urban space suited our wedding wonderfully. Krista was so helpful throughout the planning process - getting back to me promptly when I had questions and being extremely flexible as we were figuring out the schedule. I loved that I didn't need to add a ton of decor to make the space feel special, and there were tons of layout options for us to use. It was great to have a live band play our reception as we danced the night away - not necessarily an option at all venues. Finally, I LOVED that we had the choice of what caterer we wanted (for a small fee). That added flexibility plus the great space was what clinched the decision for us.

I loved FIVE. We worked with Krista at first, and then Chelle, both of whom were enthusiastic, helpful, and professional at every step of the process. Chelle acted as our wedding planner of sorts the day of, and it was so great to have her as the point person. The venue itself is beautiful, clean, and modern, and our guests really enjoyed the separate rooms — upstairs for the ceremony, downstairs for the cocktail hour, upstairs for the reception — it broke things up and helped with crowd control. Costs do add up — alcohol is pricey, and you have to pay for a security guard — but overall we felt good about the value. We paid extra for setup, and as a result FIVE had everything taken care of so we worried about very little the day of the wedding. I highly recommend this venue.

We had our reception at FIVE Event Center and worked with Lesley, Chelle and Krista (mostly Krista) and had a wonderful experience!! When I toured it with my sisters and fiance, we all fell in love immediately and knew it was the perfect ambiance that we wanted...modern, chic, lounge-like, its absolutely gorgeous. I worked out a deal with FIVE because the rental fee is very expensive and really all you get for that is the space, tables and chairs. I negotiated a contract with them including alcohol sales and the rental fee that worked with my budget, and they were accomodating! I ALWAYS got an email response within a few hours, and all the coordinators were VERY polite and professional!

We had a walk through two days beforehand and Krista had everything taken care of. We decorated ourselves the day before, and she even offered to help and light the candles the day of!

We chose Green Mill for the caterer (one of their "preferred caterers") which I also highly recommend, not only because Green Mill was awesome, but because if you don't use one of their preferred caterers, you incur a charge. The other charge we got that I wasn't totally expecting and don't really agree with, was a $197 charge for our photographer who didn't have a very specific insurance, so he had to be added to their insurance, so read the contract. You also have to pay hourly for the bartenders and a cop if you are having alcohol. I would think all of that would be included in the high rental fee. That was the only reason I gave them a 4/5 for flexibility.

I received sooooooo many compliments about the space and bartenders being awesome, and Krista was right there the whole night for any last minute questions I had! The whole night was the BEST night of our lives, and all my guests had an absolute blast, the dancefloor was packed the entire night! FIVE is an amazing place to have your wedding and I highly recommend it!

When we walked into FIVE for a tour, we knew right away this was the place our wedding was going to be at! It fit our style perfectly. We got so many compliments on our wedding day for the space and how awesome it was. It was everything we were looking for!

The staff was great to work with and very responsive to any questions I had. Everything was wonderful. IF you're looking for a unique, modern venue, FIVE is definitely the place for you! We loved it!!!

I would recommend FIVE Event Center for anyone looking for a unique wedding venue spot. I had many guests at my wedding comment that it was the best venue they'd been to for a wedding. It is a fantastic setting that can easily be personalized and yet doesn't need much in the way of decoration since it is already full of character. You have the entire venue to yourself for the event (downstairs bar area and upstairs ceremony/reception space) which allows you and your guests to truly enjoy the evening without worrying about what else is going on around them.
The staff at FIVE is incredibly helpful and worked with me every step of the way which was especially difficult since I live out on the East Coast. The day went off without a hitch in large part due to the staff at FIVE.
The cost may seem a little expensive however with the ability to select your own caterer and no food minimum as well as the savings of needing decorations helps.
Regardless I would recommend FIVE without reservation!

FIVE Event Center was the perfect space for our wedding reception! We looked at several venues in the area- and nothing came close to the uniqueness of FIVE. I wanted a unique venue, that didnt need much decorating and good service- and we found it! We received so many compliments on what an awesome venue we chose. I worked with Chelle and I cannot say enough about how great she was! She was very prompt when responding to me, gave suggestions when needed and very flexible. Chelle did a great job at making sure our reception ran smoothly and that we all had a great time.

My fiance and I toured this venue. There was on street parking and it wasn't too hard to find.

The person who helped us was great. The space is amazing! Seriously AWESOME!

The only reason we didn't choose FIVE is because of the cost. You have to rent your own chairs, pay an off duty cop, ... It was just the little expenses that didn't fit into our tiny budget. The venue we choose includes a free hotel room and is a little cheaper.

I would definitely recommend FIVE! Even though I didn't choose it, I LOVE it! Definitely go check it out. You need to see it in person.

Five Event Center was a beautiful modern space for our wedding! The staff did an excellent job of quickly flipping the space between the ceremony and reception while we had our cocktail hour downstairs. Both Danielle and Shauna were very responsive to any questions we had during the planning process.

FIVE is truly one of the best/most unique reception sites in Minnesota. It was absolutely perfect for our smaller reception with around 110 guests. We toured other event centers, ballrooms and hotel locations but nothing is even close to FIVE. The downstairs bar is amazing and absolutely perfect for the cocktail hour. The people we worked with were extremely fast at getting back to us on all of our questions and they made sure everything was taken care of throughout the event. They were flexible, easy to deal with, professional and a lot of fun to work with!

My Husband and I had our ceremony and reception at FIVE Event Center and I must say it was THE BEST DECISION ever!! The venue is absolutely beautiful inside and out! You definitely don't need to add much! The coordinator and staff were very helpful and attended to all of our needs before and during the wedding. They made our rehearsal, wedding ceremony, reception, and after party smooth and very enjoyable! We seriously didn't need to worry about a thing!! We are so thankful to have had a great venue and staff to work with us. Our guests loved the ceremony/reception hall, the downstairs bar and social hour area, as well as the small patio outdoors. We loved that there were 2 bars within the venue!! Best thing ever!! Thank you Five Event Center for a wonderful and unforgettable day!

FIVE was exactly what we were looking for. It provided character and Kelsey was fantastic to work with. She was responsive and knew what she was doing as well as suggested what has worked best in the past. She was flexible and was very accommodating when I asked to view the venue many times. I loved Five Event Center and from the moment I stepped in I knew it would be a great wedding reception venue. I loved the two floors so it was easy to allow for a great cocktail hour then a dinner and reception upstairs. It allowed for us to make an awesome grand entrance after we had already mingled with our guests downstairs. The space is gorgeous and you need very few decorations to put any final touches on it because of the decor in place.

It is more expensive than some other venues I looked at, but the location of it being near uptown is probably why. A couple guests told me that one of the female bartenders was rude, but I did not have a chance to interact with that person at all. The professionalism that I encountered with the staff on the day and leading up to it was okay.

We loved the uniqueness of FIVE as a wedding venue! Guests are still raving about the space and what a great time they had. Outside of the unique feel we really like the ability to choose from a variety of catering companies to find the best fit for our non traditional wedding meal.
FIVE made the day of the wedding a breeze for us we were able to enjoy ourselves without having to worry about all of the behind the scenes details. Once the venders were selected FIVE staff took over the coordination of equipment needed, arrival times, timeline for the day, etc... The Decor Service fee was well worth the money we dropped off decor and directions the day before and while we were enjoying cocktail hour with our guests staff was busy setting up all of the decor and at the end of the evening everything was packed back into boxes and available for us to pick up on Monday.
FIVE Event Center really set the stage for us to have the out of the ordinary wedding that we were looking for and that all of our guests would enjoy!

A little spendy with some hidden fees that they tell you about at the beginning but had to pay for later. (They had us pay for the cop that was there the whole time and they charge the caterer a fee to use the space which then gets charged to you. But the experience was well worth it! It's a BEAUTIFUL space.

From the moment we stepped into FIVE we knew it was the place for us. It's a beatuful venue and our guests raved about it at the wedding.

The staff made planning the event a cinch and were very professional in thier tasks. In general they responded to our questions within a day or so, but one downside is that the event managers aren't in the office to answer questions before 2 p.m. if you have a question that needs to be answered right away.

It is a more expensive venue, but the open catering policy evened it out a bit since you can use any licensed caterer from the Twin Cities. In all, if you are looking for an eye-catching venue, FIVE is it.

BEAUTIFUL and UNIQUE venue space!! Uptown's hidden gem!

So many different ceremony and reception floor plan options.

There is no other venue in MN that even compares to the uniqueness that FIVE has to offer. People loved all of the little hidden surprises around the space (the bathrooms are my favorite). The picture opportunities are endless in and around the venue-- a photographers playground!

Krista was so enjoyable to work with! She was so attentive and responsive throughout the planning process, with every little detail right up to the last minute.

Bar/liquor options are pricey and I wish they offered kegs instead of bottles... but one has to expect higher prices when having an event in Uptown.

The venue is very nice and modern. I loved the location and the vibe of the venue. However, the wedding planner I originally worked with left and it went downhill after the change. Lots of mistakes and follow ups were needed. Then the day of wedding the planner just seemed put out by having to be at the event. I did follow up with the owner and he was unresponsive and unconcerned about the issues we experienced.
It is unfortunate the unprofessional staffing at such a beautiful location.
