Wedding Planner
Words can not describe how wonderful Amy is and her planning services.
We were in the middle of planning our wedding in Valle de Guadalupe, MX, and we were feeling overwhelmed and like we were not making progress by doing it ourselves. I really did my research and had a couple of phone interviews and we decided on Amy because of her experience in the area, expertise in the wedding industry and her amazing attitude with taking everything over for us so we can actually enjoy the planning process. That’s exactly what happened, as soon as we hired her, she took over the whole process and really took away all of the stress Justin and I were dealing with prior to meeting her. She is extremely professional, very responsive, and always steered us in the right direction for every decision we had to make throughout the planning journey. Our wedding turned out better than we could have ever imagined, truly the best couple days of our lives, all thanks to Amy. Most of guests even said it was the best wedding that they had ever attended and how organized and easy going everything was. None of this would have been possible without Amy’s guidance and planning expertise to make this day so incredible. If you are looking to actually enjoy the process of planning your wedding and have everything be taken care of and flawless, Amy is your girl. We can’t thank her enough 🤍 -

Without Amy, our day wouldn’t have been the best day of our lives...Initially we thought we could go about putting our wedding together on our own down in Guadalupe Valley, Mexico and we quickly learned we weren’t getting anywhere fast. We were getting zero response from anyone we tried to get a hold of down there and started to worry our plan wasn’t going to happen. We knew we needed a professional. We found Amy online and had an initial phone call consult and that was pretty much all we needed.
When we first met Amy, I knew she was the one to get it done. She’s straight forward, very direct(which I love), extremely responsive(trust me, my then fiance hit her up constantly and she was ALWAYS so responsive and patient), she is extremely professional, and she just gets SHT DONE! Every step of the way, she was there for us. She kept us calm, minimized our stress levels and gave us the confidence that our day was going to be a success. She made several trips down to Mexico to deal with the different vendors and always gave much needed guidance and advice.
Come to our wedding day, all of her and my wife’s work came to fruition. The day was absolutely PERFECT. Everything flowed as planned and Amy was just as good as it gets. I wouldn’t recommend anyone else. She’s the consummate pro. THANK YOU for making this day the most memorable day of our lives!! -

Working with Amy and the First Comes Love team was easily the best decision I made for the wedding planning process. Amy was with us every step of the wedding planning process - she helped review our venue, all contracts, had amazing vendor recommendations, and was just the best support over the 1.5 yrs of planning. We had monthly calls with her on the books to stay on track leading up to the wedding and was also always available via text/email if we had ad hoc questions for her. The entire planning process was stress-free and we owe it completely to her.
Amy came recommended to me after a friend of mine also partnered with her for their wedding - easy to say that I will be passing along that recommendation to any future friends looking for a wedding planner. Thank you for everything, Amy! -

Wedding Coordinator
Amy was a really great wedding coordinator! I worked with Amy and her team for the month of coordination package and it was exactly what I hoped it would be. Amy was such a helpful resource before the wedding, answering any questions, communicating with vendors, and finalizing the schedule, layout, and day of details. When it finally came time for our rehearsal and wedding day, I truly didn't worry about one thing knowing that we were in great hands with Amy. Our entire wedding party complimented how well the day went and all of our vendors said they love working with Amy as well. -

Amy was the absolute best wedding planner we could have ever, ever hoped for. Pre-covid, she helped us plan everything early, kept us on track and was always available to answer our questions. We always felt better after talking with her, which was key for any stressful moments. Once all of our plans changed, she worked tirelessly to help us navigate what our wedding would be. She helped us turn our covid wedding into the actual wedding of our dreams. She took care of all the negotiating and coordinating with the vendors, so thanks to her we kept our original date, location and in a matter of weeks put together a brand new design that was better than our original.
In general, I cannot recommend having a planner enough, no matter what size your wedding is. Definitely go with Amy and the First Comes Love team, they are truly incredible. -

After interviewing a handful of wedding planners - there was one thing Amy said that caught my attention and set her apart from the rest. She said, "I'm not unicorns and rainbows, but I get things done." Little did I know just how much I would need a bada$$ on my side when the pandemic began. Amy is all about moving down the to-do list, making decisions, and moving forward. Because of this, she keeps you AHEAD of schedule on most things so that you really get to enjoy not just your day, but the weeks leading up to the big day. When I had to completely reinvent my wedding due to COVID-19, no idea was too crazy and she always knew exactly what I was explaining, describing, trying to articulate...even when I didn't really know what I was saying. If you want a wedding planner with experience, a wide network, and a go-getter - First Comes Love is there for you. -

Amy was the best teammate a bride and groom could ask for!
We hit the wall interviewing too many wedding planners and felt a huge weight fall off our shoulders when we met Amy. After just one phone call, we knew that we wanted her on our team! Her communication style was so easy-going and she was always right on top of everything--she would mention an update and before we knew it, we had an email with details in our inbox. Our wedding was in Valle de Guadalupe, at a facility that had hosted only a handful of weddings prior to ours, so we had our work cut out for us in carving out an event path with them. Amy was a very flexible partner in meeting us down in the region several times for walk-thrus and face-to-face meetings. She helped iron out wrinkles and was very resourceful in making our dreams come true. We would send her pictures of things we wanted, like shot glasses to gift our guests, and within a few pushes of a button she found them for us. On the day of, Amy and her team were swiftly organizing everything behind the scenes with smiles on their faces, making us and all of our guests feel supremely cared for. They set everything up to a tee, with meticulous attention to detail, moved the day along right on schedule, and even met us with a plate of appetizers to scarf down before we walked into our reception. So many of our friends came up to us afterwards to say that our wedding planner did such a wonderful job! We are so pleased to have met and worked with Amy. She executed our wedding exactly as we had envisioned, and has given us the fond memories of the day to last a lifetime. -

Best choice we made, second to getting married!
Amy with First Comes Love went above and beyond anything we could have hoped for! We got married in Valle de Guadalupe in Mexico and they made the international communication smooth and effortless for us. All anyone wants in the wedding process is; low stress, easy, constant communication, and for everything to go as planned. With First Comes Love, this is exactly what you'll get. Amy has tons of experience, and it truly shows. Amy was always available for us to call with a question and never made us feel as though we were an inconvenience. She paid attention to every little detail and made us feel like we were her first priority. We had an amazing wedding and without Amy, it wouldn't have come together as well as it did. WE HIGHLY RECOMMEND HER! -

Amy was the best planner I could've hoped for! She made the entire process seem organized by dividing each "to-do" into monthly tasks. She recommended amazing vendors, gave candid and honest feedback when we asked for her opinion on something, and was fun to work with. First Comes Love (for us, that meant Amy and Ally) was easily the best and most important expense of the wedding. I will tell everyone I know who's doing a wedding to NOT MISS THIS CHANCE!!
Planning the wedding was fun to do but let's be honest, a month out you're just trying to stay cool, look good, and relax so you can have the best day of your life!!! I was completely able to do that with FCL. I got married at the Prado in Balboa Park, and these ladies are all friends with everyone there and seem to know everyone in the business! Every time I was worried about something, they told me they had it under control. I had nothing to worry about on the day of and enjoyed my wedding the way it was meant to be experienced - relaxed and feeling awesome!!!
Thank you Amy and Ally and the rest of the team for helping couples everywhere execute the wedding of their dreams!!!! -

Amy more than "paid for herself" starting with the contract negotiation at our venue - then following up with EVERY ONE of the vendors she recommended. Through Amy we had a first class, first rate "team - and the photos prove it (Of course you won't see Amy anywhere, but trust me, she was there!) Amy was a steady head, a calming presence and a completely savvy and organized planner. If you have a wedding in your future, the FIRST thing you should do is hire FIRST Comes Love!!

Not only did we make the best choice when we choose First Comes Love but it took our wedding from dream to a real life fairytale! Every request I had was handled with precision, every question we had was met with invaluable advice and First Comes Love took ownership of our wedding as if it was their wedding.
Amy was amazing and reviewed my Pinterest board for what I was feeling. Even though my Pinterest board was all over the place, Amy took the time to help me visualize every detail. Her vendor recommendations were on point with our budget and personality.
This is a once in a lifetime day and First Comes Love treated it as such! I could not ask for more professionalism or attention to detail than First Comes Love delivered. Thank you Amy, you were the best! -

The only things I stressed out about were things that had nothing to do with the wedding. She made my dream wedding come true with all the little details. She looked for vendors for me, negotiated prices, and went out of the way to make everything beautiful. I worked with her a year and a half before our wedding! She is amazing!!! -

Could not have asked for anything more - from helping get last-minute rain plans under control (which we ended up not needing!) to sewing the button back on my fiance's coat, to dealing with my mother (not easy)... she made everything as close to perfect as we could have ever asked for! We worked almost exclusively with vendors she recommended and every single one of them delivered above and beyond. I'd recommend her to anyone and everyone :)

She walked us through the whole process. She is always quick to respond and it very helpful and organized. She really does listen and knows how to guide a bride to her vision. She was awesome at making sure that we were on our budget. Vendors love working with her as much as I did. I am going to miss my monthly checklists. This made the whole process feel easy!
The day of the wedding was truly AMAZING! Amy was with us the whole day and made sure that we were on time and everything ran smoothly. I would highly recommend Amy. You will love her! -

Planning a wedding is difficult enough. Planning a wedding during a pandemic is near impossible, and probably would've been if it weren't for the patience, kindness, and expertise of Amy and her team. She helped us navigate every aspect of the wedding, including finding vendors, managing the budget, responding to unsolicited feedback from family members, and putting it all together for the big day! Eily Sent on 09/13/2011Yikes! My biggest mistake I made in wedding planning, was not hiring a planner sooner - I was trying to save money. Amy and Adrienne made my life so much better once we hired them about 2 months before the wedding - it was like I could breathe again! They were hired as 'day-of' coordinators, but they really start working a few months before. They are incredibly professional, and really listen to what YOU, the bride want. It is so easy to get lost in trying to please all of the parties - parents, family, groom - that what you want gets lost, and before you know it, you're in over your head trying to please everyone else and no one is helping. They were my alli. Adrienne was my day-of coordinator, and every time I saw her face, it was a relief! She was so on top of everything, and really kept us on schedule, and probably took care of problems I don't even know about. She took care of our reception setup and take down - of which we had tons because we brought our own centerpieces. I can't thank First Comes Love enough! I HIGHLY recommend them - there is a reason they are award winning! Completely worth the money. -

Kim Sent on 05/08/2012Amy was always quick to respond to any and all of my questions and concerns. Our wedding was a destination wedding and she was extremely helpful!!! I couldn't have pulled it off without her! There was some confusion the week of the wedding with the timeline and vendors but ultimately I had the PERFECT wedding! One disappointment -- at the end of our wedding we would have preferred to clean up ourselves after our guests left.(the wedding was at an estate we were renting). Unfortunately, food/drinks were disposed of when our guests were still with us . -

We used first comes love for the month of planning. I would say our overall experience was just okay. From a pricing standpoint they are very fair, but I feel like I could have just used their day of service. I heard from previous brides that their month of planner was a life saver and was so helpful, but that was not my experience. Their response time was terrible, and they did not deliver documents in a timely manner; I had to follow up repeatedly. I personally feel like I could have done their prep work for them. Even 1-2 weeks out I didn't feel like a priority for them. On my wedding day I worked with Lindsey and her assistant. They were pleasant to be around. There were a few instances where Lindsey was rude to my mother and maid of honor. They did beautiful work setting up, and helping the day run smoothly in terms of timing. Overall, they were the only vendor my bridal party and family did not like. If I was planning my wedding again I would go with another vendor. -
