    I originally was working with LaMacchia Travel Agency in Kenosha, and felt as though I was getting nowhere with them. Having met Pat Weber from Firstchoice travel & Cruise at a bridal show, I decided to email her regarding questions w/ my destination wedding I wanted to plan. Within 24-48hours she was able to get me the resort I wanted to go to, and a wedding date. I couldnt believe it, since I had been literally waiting several weeks, actually almost 2 months, to get a response from that resort with LaMacchia travel. The travel agent there was trying to get us to go with Iberostar, and I had my heart set on Ocean Blue & Sand in Punta Cana. With that being said, I called up the travel agent from LaMacchia and told her I no longer needed her services. Pat Weber took care of all my wedding, travel needs for myself and all 29 of my guests. She was great. My wedding was perfect!!!

    My husband and I worked with Tana from First Choice Travel and Cruise for our wedding this past January. Choosing a travel agent was harder than one would think and I believe it makes a big difference in the overall planning of a destination wedding. We worked with 3 other agencies before we met Tana and we are so thankful we didn’t settle. Tana was an absolute pleasure to work with and really went above and beyond for us. We traveled with 43 guests that she booked. More than just taking care of our travel arrangements, Tana became in so many ways my wedding coordinator. We were in constant contact from the time we met until the moment we left for the wedding. She helped my husband and I decide on a destination, resort… (We were literally all over until we met her) she aided us in deciding a date, time for the wedding and soo much more. When I say she went above and beyond for us, she certainly did.. from booking our flights to making our spa appointments for our hair the day of the wedding. She was my lifeline and such a godsend during the planning of not only a wedding, but a wedding that was in another country. She has a lot of experience as she’s worked with plenty of destination weddings, had a destination wedding of her own and has traveled to so many of the countries we were looking into. During the year we planned our wedding we booked a girlfriend getaway to Vegas thru her and she surprised us with a limo transfer! We appreciate everything she did for us and anyone who has the opportunity to work with her is quite blessed! We certainly feel so!

    Our destination wedding in Punta Cana was a huge success! We were on a budget, and Tana helped us find a resort that would not only meet my expectations as a bride for my wedding, but also keep the cost down for both us and our guests. We could not be happier with how it all turned out, and our family and friends are still talking about their trip. Thanks again Tana!

    Pat Weber was wonderful to work with, she helped in so many ways. Very knowledgeable, helpful, and knows how to put a bride at ease. Any questions or concerns I had, she either answered or found the person who could help me. Thank you Pat! I had a beautiful wedding, the wedding of my Dreams, at Dreams Punta Cana!

    What a great time we had on our parent's anniversary trip! Our travel agent reccommended a great vacation for our large group. There was something for everyone down to those who wanted to relax and those who can't sit still! She also set up great excursions to accomodate everyone's to do list and more. We left with a life time of memories, a ton of laughs and pictures to prove it all! She even made sure that we were set up for food allergy requirements. She went above and beyond to make this trip the best trip of our life!!!!

    I was amazed at how knowledgeable and helpful the staff at First Choice Travel and Cruise were. There are different rules for marriage in other countries that we had no idea even where to begin. The travel agents gave us great advise and a walk through step by step. We felt very comfortable talking to the agents and you could tell they really knew each destination. We also thought it was helpful learning the first hand experiences from the agents as well as past wedding couples. This advise helped make our decisions for our dream wedding!

    First Choice Travel and Cruise was great to work with. We had a destination wedding and needed a travel agent to help us pick a location, hotel and help everyone book and keep everything organized. We had the pleasure of working with Mary and she did a fantastic job. She was always professional, easy to work with and quick to respond. She met with us to help us pick a location and hotel and we did all other corresponding over phone and email since we did not live nearby. She helped us to find a great resort and followed through from beginning to end. She made sure everyone was getting everything in when they needed to, she followed up with people and sent helpful reminders and information. She had me CC her on all my emails with the wedding coordinator at the resort to make sure everything was going well and I was getting all of the help I needed. They set up a web page for your guests so that they could easily find any information they needed. We will definitely be going back to First Choice travel and cruise for future vacations, we were thrilled with the prices they got us and how helpful and friendly they were. Planning a trip for 30 people is difficult and they made it easy and stress free. I would definitely recommend them to anyone, especially if you are having a destination wedding.

    Sarah did a wonderful job helping us book our wedding! She helped us narrow down a destination, got us a great deal and was very quick to answer any questions. I would use First Choice Travel and Cruise again!

    Don't buy travelex insurance this company sells to you!

    We had a cancelled flight from Athens to Chicago. We called First Choice travel company, no answer. We called the emergency help line for travelex and the representative told us we were covered to go ahead and buy the replacement airline tickets to get home. After we returned home and filed a claim, a representative told us we were NOT covered. The airline cancelled the flight, we did not! We were in a foreign country with no reservations for a hotel or future flight home. So, we made a split second decision to buy last minute tickets home, which were very expensive!
    After returning home we were told it was not a trip cancellation, which is a play on words by this insurance company-- Making people believe they are covered for a cancelled flight and in reality they are NOT! We thought we would be covered for cancelled flights and that is why anyone buys travel insurance. We did not need this insurance especially if it does not cover a cancelled flight! Be careful what you are buying! Needless to say, we will never use this insurance company again or First Choice Travel & Cruise In Waukesha, WI for selling me this product. I am out over 6,500.00 dollars and all the travel company told me was, "IT HAPPENS." Their customers need to know about this situation and that is why I am writing this review and sharing it with everyone I know.

    Hello Tracy,
    We are sorry to hear that you are disappointed with the reimbursement amount from the Insurance Company for your flight issue.
    Unfortunately there is such a time difference between Europe and the States that if you called our office on that Sunday it was most likely closed. We do check daily and there were no messages on our voicemail nor an email that you had any issues. We would have directed you to talk to the airline since they are in charge of the flights. The airline reservation agents would have explained to you why your flight was cancelled or delayed and worked with you to book another comparable flight ....without an extra fee too!

    Sara was unaware that you contacted the Insurance emergency line. She did contact them again on your behalf and asked them to listen to the recording of your call. They went back to the recording and Philippe (at the emergency contact center) told you that you had trip delay benefits but it was up to the insurance company how much you would be reimbursed. You proceeded to tell him that you found tickets for $7400.00 and he replied that it is up to Travelex to determine the amount you would be reimbursed. Philippe did not have the ability to authorize ANY amount. Please understand, You originally booked premium economy airfare with your package and chose to book flights home on your own and upgrade yourself to a last minute First Class ticket. The flights you booked online would show all the classes and costs available. Business class is always around double the cost of premium economy.

    The insurance package you purchased was a combination of airfare, hotel, cruise line, train, transfers and excursions. Travel Insurance covers a variety of issues that can occur. Emergencies happen everyday. As your travel agent, we provide you with a copy of the Travel Insurance policy with the international emergency contact numbers for this reason, so they can help and explain how to proceed. The policy will have "Limits of Liability" that cap the amount you can claim. Travel Insurance, Home Insurance and Auto Insurance all have limits of liability.

    Please understand that First Choice Travel has no control over flight cancellations nor insurance claims. We are so glad that the rest of your very detailed trip went perfectly. My understanding is that our agent Sara even assisted you personally with filling out all the insurance claim forms for you and called the airline direct to get your airline refund along with many calls and emails following up with you. Now she even went back to the insurance company on your behalf to see if there was any misunderstandings on the flight reimbursement for you. The airline and the insurance company provided you with a refund, even though it wasn't exactly what you hoped for. I am glad you did get a refund.

    We always suggest travel insurance. Some countries even require proof that you have it. Throughout the years we have heard from clients that have had flight issues, medical issues and hotel issues and they have thanked us for giving them the option to purchase insurance. It is critical to have insurance when needed in an emergency situation.

    I feel comfortable that Sara did her job and even went above and beyond with helping you with the forms required and all of the follow up. While we share your frustration with the airline changes and the insurance company, we are not responsible for your purchase of new First Class return tickets that would have exceeded the cost of the original tickets by a substantial amount when you booked them.
    It is disappointing that you are giving our company a bad review for a situation that was completely out of our control.
