I attended a wedding at Firehouse some 8 years back or so now and at that time couldn't imagine getting married but if I did, it would've been at a beautiful venue like that. Fast forward to 8 years later and we got married at Firehouse. My wife fell in love with the venue as soon as we pulled up. Its a 1920s firehouse and alll the beautiful, unique, and intricate details make the venue absolutely gorgeous. The details from outside, inside, and the rooms are beautiful. The location is amazing and everyone at the wedding loved the ambience. You don't even need much decor with how beautiful the space is. Highly recommend the 3 rooms upstairs.

Now for the staff, Sarah and Teddy helped us up to the wedding and were organized and very communicative. They supported us throughout with decisions and made sure the day of went perfectly. I literally cannot think of a thing I would change because how smoothly their help made the event go. The staff who opened put out the decor and it was perfect. They were extremely caring and helpful. One Firehouse member had helped fix our polaroid cause a guest messed up putting in film and he was right on top of it. The staff was so caring and helpful! Thank you all sooooo much!

Book firehouse for all your events. You would not regret it at all!

My husband and I had our wedding at the Firehouse and it was perfect! The venue is GORGEOUS and has a million little details that our guests loved. Sarah and Teddy were incredibly kind, helpful, and professional throughout the entire planning process. They answered all of our questions quickly, and were amazing at coordinating with our vendors and making sure everything went smoothly on our wedding day. The rest of their team were INCREDIBLY helpful on the day of, and were asking us constantly if we needed anything. I would highly highly recommend!!

Our guests could not get over how unique and charming this venue is! The flow between rooms throughout the evening was perfect. We rented the whole upstairs and got ready there, which was a huge bonus. There are so many great places to take photos here without having to leave the premises. Not to mention, THE COOLEST reception entrance ever--the fire pole!!

Firehouse is an adorable, vintage wedding venue in the city. When my husband and I saw it we immediately knew it was the perfect place for us to get married. We didn’t realize that on top of a perfect venue we would also be able to work with above and beyond staff who made our wedding an absolute dream. Sarah coordinated everything while being so easy to work with including answering all of my silly questions! She made me feel at ease with everything going on, including when a vendor changed their timeline just a few days before the wedding. The day of staff were also amazing, on the ball helping with everything, and so kind. I can’t say enough amazing things about Firehouse! Go check it out and you will fall in love with this space and it’s people!

From the moment my wife and I walked through the doors at Firehouse we were in love with the location! It was the tin roof ceiling, then the spiral staircase, the large sink-in tub, and all of the decor details that just had us swooning and ready to start planning our whimsy vintage themed wedding here.
The staff seriously exceeded our expectations. Throughout the year that we planned our wedding they were consistently attentive and responsive to all of our inquiries. And when it came to the month coming up to our big day they were on it with our plan and had several back up plans for us. We were eternally grateful for this level of preparation and coordination between vendors when our Chicago Spring weather did a complete 180 5 days from our wedding. They worked diligently in the final days to rearrange our plans and pitched in to help our florist and caterers with a flip that was a drastic change to our original plans in order to make our wedding dreams come true.
Day of they were amazing, starting from first thing in the morning until hours after our event was over they were working so hard making sure we had everything we needed. They were miracle workers packing up all the stuff our wedding party and guests left behind and making sure our family were sent off with everything. Days after the wedding they were still just as accommodating and responsive while we were getting ourselves back together and organizing pickups from vendors.
But also you get to slide down a fire pole for your grand entrance - does it get any cooler than that?!

Ben and I could not be happier with how our wedding turned out at Firehouse Chicago. The event planners were unbelievable throughout the entire process - super responsive to our millions of emails - and so willing to meet with us whenever we had questions or concerns. On the day of our wedding, we planned to use the tent and unfortunately, weather had a different plan for us. Firehouse Chicago jumped into action and came up with a solution that was amendable for our situation. They also were willing to work with us about guest count and the space upstairs. They really were such gems. I would STRONGLY suggest splurging on the candle package. It was such a beautiful touch to the space. Everything turned out perfectly all because Firehouse Chicago knew what to do and made our wedding feel so special. If you are looking for a unique space with lots of history and charm, look no further than Firehouse Chicago. The tables are beautiful for dinner and everyone from our wedding continues to rave about how homey and cozy it felt there. (Also, such a PLUS, was having a day of coordinator included in the cost of the venue. We went to SO many venues that did not have this and it was such a relief to have someone there that knew EVERYTHING about the space.)

I may be a bit biased, but everyone should get married at Firehouse! My husband and I had a beautiful wedding there this past weekend. Erika and Angelina are excellent wedding coordinators and run a very smooth program. Everything went as expected-- maybe even better?? They are both so kind and fun and the space is gorgeous. Our décor was put up perfectly, my husband and I didn't have to worry about anything on the day of. It is an excellent value for what you get, as well. I could not recommend this venue more!

This was a great venue for our wedding of 80 guests. Plenty of off street parking made it a stand out in Chicago. Everything ran smoothly thanks to the day of coordinator at the venue. Very affordable compared to other Chicago venues.

We were so thrilled with how our Firehouse wedding turned out. Paige was so fun to work with and made sure everything went smoothly for us, including working closely with all of our vendors and setting up our super-customized table decor without a second thought or a single question for us on the day. She made the whole process as stress-free as possible for us. Firehouse was perfect for our small (~50 guests), quirky wedding, and we got so many comments about how great the venue was. It's a great choice for a wedding in any weather, because the inside is just as beautiful as the outside and they have indoor/outdoor options for any circumstance. We chose it not only because it's a gorgeous, unique space - but also for the level of support and coordination included in the price, and it did not disappoint.

I can't imagine having had my wedding anywhere other than Firehouse Chicago! It was truly a perfect night, and my vision came together better than I ever thought possible. Paige is an amazing venue director and she made the entire planning process so easy! She met with me multiple times, answered all of my questions, and helped to ease my worries about the big day. She truly cared about making sure everything went perfectly for us, and I had complete trust in her. We went with several vendors off Firehouse's preferred vendor list, which was wonderful because these people know the venue so well and can help calm your wedding planning nerves.

This venue is so unique and different! We didn't want a "cookie cutter" banquet hall wedding and I'm so glad we decided to go with Firehouse. We had a cocktail style reception with Big Star catering from their food truck and everyone loved it! The venue was the perfect size for our 80 guests. We decorated with some greenery and floral, a few photos, and the Firehouse candle package - that's all you need! The venue is so beautiful on it's own, with it's creamy subway tile, reclaimed wood tables, and outdoor garden. It is truly a hidden gem in Chicago!! I would get married here every weekend if I could.

Michelle and the Firehouse were a dream come true for our wedding! The indoor space is beautifully curated and the outdoor garden is stunning. We used the gorgeous bridal suite as well which was the perfect place to spend time and relax prior to the festivities. And so cute! Michelle is a delight to work with and made sure that all our questions were answered and all of our vendors had all of the information they needed. She was on hand during the wedding ceremony and reception to make sure everything was running smoothly. Michelle and the Firehouse team have built a lovely team of vendors that they recommend. We selected all of our vendors from their list and were not disappointed by a single one. Lovely people attract lovely people! The Firehouse is a lovely, intimate, truly Chicago venue that I would recommend it to anyone!

Hands down, one of the most unique, charming, and intimate wedding venues in all of Chicago!

From the moment we walked through the doors, we knew this was the venue for us! The authentic detail and rustic vintage charm of this venue speaks for itself. Fully furnished with the highest quality and handmade features and fixtures, this place is a photographers dream. We stayed true to the Firehouse and barely added any decor which ended up looking fabulous and impressing all of our closest family and friends. One thing to note, this venue stays true to it's core and is meant for weddings of a certain size. We had 65 guests and it was amazing! Definitely rent the bridal suite and take some time for you and your fiance before saying "I do".

Additionally, we cannot say enough wonderful things about our experience with Michelle and the Firehouse Chicago team. When planning a wedding or any big event, the best advice we can offer is hire the pros and trust them to do the work and do it well. Never could something be more accurate than with Michelle and her team who were a dream come true from start to finish. Her attention to detail, interest in us as a couple, excitement for our big day, logistical help day of, and willingness to meet at the Firehouse as many times as we needed, made us feel as if our wedding was a top priority. We did not hire a wedding coordinator and with Michelle and her team onsite for the full day and affair, you don't need one.

It's not too much to say that we'll remember our fantastic experience with Michelle and Firehouse Chicago as defining parts of what made our wedding day so incredible. As soon as we set foot in the Firehouse, we knew we wanted it to be our venue. It's unique, beautifully detailed, and both a characterful and comfortable venue space (you don't often find all that in one). There's a lovely outdoor garden (where we had our ceremony) and a classy indoor space that allow for various combinations for ceremony/meal/party, depending on what the couple wants. The fact that the venue comes with Michelle as its venue director makes this choice a no-brainer. Vendors love working with her as much as betrothed couples do--she's detail oriented, incredibly personable, and her absolute top priority is making sure that couples have the day they're hoping for. As one example of this, she makes sure that couples get a few private moments right after the ceremony in a tucked-away part of the Firehouse--we even had food and drinks waiting for us when we got there. She thinks of everything. So many of our guests told us the Firehouse had to be among the coolest Chicago venues they'd been to--and we agree! Can't recommend the Firehouse highly enough. (PS Keep in mind that the Firehouse is one of the only venues in the city where it's possible to cater with a food truck ... which we did, with Big Star, and it was an enormous hit.)

We had our wedding at the Firehouse and it couldn’t have been more perfect!! Both the venue and Michelle are just the sweetest- we loved everything about it (and her)! Michelle really listened to us, even when our response was “we have no idea” and she asked all the right questions to get us thinking about all the details we hadn’t even thought of yet. She was available any time we needed to answer questions, set up meetings with vendors or even provide moral support (aka calm down my mother)!

We had about 90 guests for a cocktail style reception and got married onsite. We had originally planned on getting married outside in the garden but we ended up tenting and heating the garden and moving the ceremony inside, due to chilly weather. Michelle executed the “plan b” inside ceremony flawlessly, even though we really hadn’t discussed it prior to that week, and both the inside and outside areas were popular with our guests all night. The onsite options for tables and seating arrangements are great- a perfect mix of comfy couches, high boys and sit-down farm tables.

The beauty of this venue is that it’s so pretty on its own, it barely needs any decorations. But Michelle worked with us on our tissue paper poms hanging from the ceiling (she hung for us), and she draped the window curtains beautifully and set up the tea lights…. We barely had to do anything in terms of décor and it looked fabulous!! She let us drop off anything we wanted to the day before, even before the rehearsal, so we had nearly everything we needed onsite before we arrived the next day- that was such a relief!

On the day of, we had rented the bridal suite which was beautiful. All day, Michelle was always around if we needed, but not in our faces unless we wanted her to be. We wouldn’t have changed a thing- I wish we could do it all again and we can’t recommend Firehouse Chicago highly enough!!

This is the coolest venue for a wedding and reception under 80 people. Michelle's help was comforting as we dealt with those jangly last minute planning nerves. On the day of our wedding, Alexis seemed to be everywhere! Her intuition for what I needed and what my wife needed was spot on, showing up at exactly the right moment. I had no idea how to fold a pocket square for my suit; in no time at all, Alexis figured it out, putting the final touches on my attire. Our guests loved this venue, too, with the beautiful, vintage interior and lovely, accommodating courtyard area. We can't say enough great things about the Firehouse Chicago, Michelle and Alexis!

Loved this venue so much. Knew it was the place immediately. Then fell in love all over again the day of my wedding. Michelle , the manager, is wonderful. Super helpful and attentive. Couldn't have chosen a better place.

My husband and I celebrated our wedding at the Firehouse one month ago. The whole experience exceeded all our expectations! Our most important "must-haves" were a COOL venue and a great photographer. The Firehouse spoke to us from the start, and it wasn't difficult to decide it would be a good fit for our special day. We had just over 70 guests total and that seemed perfect for the venue's size. And the outdoor side yard is excellent for a cocktail hour. Definitely use that if you do an event here. Our guests still talk about how great, how unique, the venue is. Really, it's an unforgettable space for unforgettable events.

A few other notes: the rustic touches (like the big barn doors, custom-built bar, etc.) are fantastic. Also, the room is perfect for doing some great mood lighting. We used the Firehouse's quaint collection of Edison bulb lights for our wedding. There are options for rentals, too--chairs, tents for the side yard, and vintage dishes for smaller events. Caterers will love the kitchen as they prepare food for guests. And, of course, the place is VERY photogenic.

I only had one major drawback to the space. It was difficult to be super creative with floor plans, at least inside. The main room is long and skinny, meaning you don't have a lot of options for fitting dinner tables, high boys, and a dance floor into one space. We made it work, but be prepared to spend some time on that.

Finally, I have to put in a good word for Michelle, the venue manager. What a great friend to have along the way. Her attention to detail, interest in us as a couple, excitement for our big day, logistical help day of, and willingness to meet at the Firehouse countless times to help us make measurements, work out floor plans, and everything else--ALL of this helped us feel like ours was a top priority wedding. Michelle cares about people, and she wants to make their weddings as personal, stress-free, and awesome as possible.

We would like to than you Michelle, for all your work and excellent interpretation of our vision for our wedding. We recommend firehouse Chicago and all the other excellent people involved in the event. All were top Notch...

Our wedding at the Firehouse was an absolute dream! Every detail of the space is so cute and full of character. It was the perfect venue for our intimate wedding of about 65 guests. As others have mentioned, the building is so beautiful that you barely need to add any other decorations. Michelle, the venue coordinator, is AMAZING - she is super sweet and very organized. Her and her team set up our decorations on the morning of the wedding, and it looked even better than I could have imagined! We were able to enjoy our special day without having to worry about a thing. In addition, during the planning process, Michelle also provided a very helpful list of vendors that they have worked well with in the past, which saved us a lot of time and helped us find our wedding dream team of officiant, bakery, caterer, photographer, and even the hotel where we had our room block. We honestly couldn't imagine getting married anywhere else. :)

I'm still in love with The Firehouse and I want to go back and visit- this place is the best. Michelle and her team are experts at running and event - so helpful with planning the outline of the day, decorating, and basically making sure we could pull of a magical wedding ceremony and reception! What I particularly appreciated was The Firehouse working so well and directly with my caterer to get the details down - they kept me in the loop bu took care of business so nothing stalled along the way. No complaints, loved every second of working with and parting at The (beautiful) Firehouse!

Very disappointed. Two emails and a phone call and no one ever responded to my request for more information. Bummer. I really had this venue as my #1 choice. Moving on now to a venue that is more responsive (or will generally just respond).
