  Amazing venue

  My wife and I just had our wedding there this past weekend and it was amazing. Tory and Barry (the owners) are super nice and very helpful. They have been doing this for years and know how to plan a wedding properly. I highly recommend this place if you're looking for a barn wedding!

  We love the Farmhouse Inn

  If you are searching for a rustic, barn-like wedding in the most beautiful state of Vermont, look no further, the Farmhouse Inn is where you need to go. I am so relieved that we stumbled upon this absolutely amazing property and amazing owners. After having to reschedule our wedding 2 times because of Covid, the flexibility and understanding from the owners, Tory and Barry, was more than we could have asked for. The property itself is gorgeous, and they make the experience so easy and seamless from start to finish. Words cannot describe how much we loved this space and the memories that Tory and Barry gave us. We can’t wait to go back as soon as possible!

  One of a kind, authentic farmhouse, venue and owners!

  We stayed at the Farmhouse Inn four years ago when they were just starting to do weddings, and knew immediately it would be where we got married. In addition to a beautiful venue, it was also important to us that it was near a town so our guests could make a trip out of it and Woodstock had it all. Hiking, beautiful scenery, farmers markets, cafes, and boutiques in a quaint small town. When looking for the right venue for our wedding we wanted something that felt authentic rather than a barn built and designed for weddings and events. The Farmhouse Inn at Robinson Farm is historic, full of character at every turn and was everything we wanted for our wedding, allowing us to share an authentic Vermont experience with our guests. The rolling hills around the venue set a perfect scene and the multiple barns and open fields allow for a ton of flexibility in designing the ceremony and reception we wanted. We received so many compliments from our guests on the property and stunning five story red barn. The piece that really sets this venue apart from others are the owners, Tory and Barry. From Day 1 they were extremely helpful answering any and all questions we had about the venue before we decided to book it. From there, their dedication only increased and they felt like true partners throughout the wedding experience. They are genuine, friendly and exceptionally hospitable. It was such a relief having them coordinate all of the rentals and deliveries, making sure that everything came together the way we wanted and their support continued throughout the entire wedding weekend. They are there every step of the way making sure things go smoothly and helping with everything from tying ribbon on our bouquets before we walk out the door, to setting up the ceremony seating and making sure catering rentals were put away at the end of the night. It’s like having an extra set of parents in the best way possible! They welcomed us like family and were extremely supportive and accommodating with all of our layout requests. They are extremely dedicated to maintaining the farm and sharing its story. We had so many friends and families tell us that the venue was one of the most gorgeous they had seen and that they were blown away by the level of service that was provided. We would highly recommend the Farmhouse Inn at Robinson Farm to anyone looking for their wedding venue or even as a place to stay a couple nights for a trip to Woodstock. From the chickens roaming around the property, the beautiful horse Yuma, friendly dog Ben, and the nicest cat we have ever met Tilly, to the cozy and charming farmhouse, fresh coffee, tea and biscotti, homemade soaps, delicious farm fresh breakfasts and warm company, it is a remarkable place that we feel grateful to have found. Each time we visit Tory is experimenting with a new treat, like pumpkin donuts, morning buns and fresh pressed apple cider from the tree in their yard. These are just a few things that make this place so special, and we were thrilled to share the experience with our friends and family!

  Magical property and owners!

  We could not have had greater good fortune than to discover Tory and Barry and their Farmhouse Inn for our wedding day. As we rounded the curve and laid eyes on the red barn for the first time, our breath was literally taken away as it has been every time since then when this beautiful property has come into view. Just as importantly, though, we were struck from our first meeting by how thoughtful and genuine Tory and Barry were, and that sentiment only grew as we had the pleasure of continuing to work with them over the course of last year. Admittedly, we had a brief moment of hesitation at the start with regard to the cost, recognizing that the price we paid would not include food, drinks, etc. It quickly became clear, though, that we had invested in far more than just a magical property and beautiful tables and chairs....our decision paid off one hundred fold in the experienced support that Tory and Barry offered. They responded to our (many, many) nervous inquiries via phone and email, day and night, promptly and thoroughly, offered suggestions when we asked to help us troubleshoot the flow of our big day, provided vendor and lodging suggestions, offered to host on-site meetings with the vendors we were interviewing, and generally acted as wedding coordinators to ensure we had everything we didn’t even know we needed for the day to make things go smoothly, leaving us with truly no anxiety the day-of. Every single one of our guests (including ourselves!) was coming from out of state, and we really wanted the opportunity to showcase this state that we love so deeply. The nearby lodging that they suggested provided plenty of options for all budgets, and we could see in our guests’ eyes that the magic of this unique spot provided just that experience that we wanted for our loved ones as well as ourselves. We can also say that, over our year of planning, we got to see the property in literally every variety of weather, and it *never* lost its magic. And of course, in the end, having the option of selecting our own food, selecting our own alcohol options, etc, really made the day feel like “ours” rather than a cookie-cutter, generic wedding with programmed dances and dry chicken breasts. Tory and Barry helped us to execute this lovingly, wisely, and patiently and we really felt that our big day was everything we wanted and more thanks to them; we now feel fortunate to consider them friends and family!

  You can not top this place!

  Tory and Barry created an unforgettable experience for our wedding! They coordinated our dance party in the big red barn and were extremely flexible on the day of the event when we changed our wedding location from the small barn to the trellis area outside of the big barn! We had the rehearsal dinner in the small barn and the Milstones were fantastic at coordinating our caterer and bartenders. They dealt with all of the vendors in terms of linens, glasses, etc!They worked well with our band and flower arrangers too! They posted signs with our names on the road so that it was very easy for people to find. You can not top this place! This was as stress free as a wedding can get thanks to their professionalism. Our family stayed at the Inn and were treated like family. Rooms were great and the breakfasts were amazing! Much love and gratitude to this wonderful family!

  The perfect canvas to create your dream wedding

  Barry and Tory (owners) were an absolute pleasure to work with from start-to-finish. Our original venue plans fell through and we couldn't have been more grateful they did! They are willing to be as hands-on (or hands-off) as you'd like throughout the planning process. My fiance and I wanted to do a lot of the planning/logistics ourselves and we were able to do exactly that. Not to mention, the venue is beautiful and had our guests wow-ed. We had about 65 guests and the white barn was the perfect size for a few tables and a dance floor. Couldn't recommend highly enough- wish we could go back and do it all over again!

  Perfect Wedding Venue!

  We called Barry as soon as we got home from the venue tour and feel beyond lucky to have secured the Farmhouse Inn for our wedding day. Barry and Tory are extremely kind and the quintessential hosts for a Vermont wedding. They were so easy to communicate with and always accommodated us when we dropped by multiple weekends to either show family, to talk logistics over with them, or sometimes just stopping in to look inside the barn and help us envision how we hoped our day would look. The property is stunning and versatile, allowing us to have multiple options of where to get married.
  We hired Ana as our wedding coordinator and it was one of the best decisions we have ever made. She went above and beyond to be sure all vendors were contacted, informed and knew exactly when and where to be the weekend of our wedding. The timeline she created for us was super helpful and by the time the weekend arrived, we were able to take a deep breath and relax knowing Ana had it all under control. Not only is Ana amazing at what she does, but she is absolute sweetheart who we both connected with on a personal level as well.
  As for the Inn, the bride’s relatives stayed the weekend and loved it. It was an absolute perfect representation of Vermont in the fall. Each room is unique with its own charm and a cozy, welcoming feel. Tory’s breakfast is an incredible (fresh, fresh, fresh!) spread that we still hear about months later. We wholeheartedly recommend the Farmhouse Inn for anyone looking for a true Vermont barn wedding.   Barry and Tory are the most wonderful people and hosts we have ever had the privilege to know. The Inn was spectacular, it was warm, comfortable, welcoming and beautiful. My daughter was married there this weekend and my wife and I were completely elated with the venue. The wedding party stayed there for the weekend and we had a great time. The food was fresh and spectacular, the animals were great additions and getting in and out of Woodstock was simple. The rooms were roomy, clean, beautiful and spacious. Everything was ready and delivered as promised; from the smallest details to the coordination of the vendors, suppliers, caterers, etc. The chickens are a wonderful addition. We would highly recommend this Inn for a wedding, a party or just a weekend visit. You will find yourself absolutely pleased with everything.   Best Possible Experience!

  We are so happy we chose to have our wedding at the Farmhouse Inn. We got to choose our vendors, had an incredible day-of coordinator, and had our family stay with us at the Inn. All of our guests were so happy with the location and kept commenting on how gorgeous it was. By far the best part of this experience was working with the owners, Barry and Tory. They are professional, responsive, knowledgable, and incredibly kind. They made our day perfect. Highly, highly recommend!

  We are so happy we chose to have our wedding at the Farmhouse Inn. We got to choose our vendors, had an incredible day-of coordinator, and had our family stay with us at the Inn. All of our guests were so happy with the location and kept commenting on how gorgeous it was. By far the best part of this experience was working with the owners, Barry and Tory.   We looked at upwards of 20 wedding venues and as soon as we stepped on the Farmhouse Inn property knew it was a special place. We loved having access to the entire property for a weekend and felt that Tory and Barry were truly dedicated to holding special events for each and every couple. And we couldn't have been more right!
  
  Our wedding weekend was better then we could have imagined. The property was beautiful, all our vendors came together perfectly and our guests had a great time. While Tory + Barry host a small amount of weddings per year (compared to many of the wedding factories out there) they are pro's at the planning and supported all our endless questions/concerns throughout the 8 months leading up to the wedding. One of the things I liked most about the venue is there are so many ways you can use the property, the barns and the field depending on your needs and size of the wedding. We were able to bring in flowers and decorations that reflected our style and put our spin on the day which was also so fun. I also cant recommend Ana, the wedding coordinator enough. She was key to the weekend success and took things over from a planning perspective the day of and ran the show! (It's also like she could read my mind, and did so many things behind the scenes that I really appreciate).
  
  If you are looking for a unique outdoorsy/barn venue I can't recommend this venue enough. I am so happy we will have a special place to visit in the future and that Tory and Barry are part of our wedding weekend story!

  After touring and evaluating multiple locations for our daughter's wedding, her fiancé and family, she, and we picked the Farmhouse Inn. And we are really glad we did. The barn is a spectacular piece of historical beauty and probably the highlight of our event. Barry and Tori, the proprietors and hosts, were totally transparent, that is, unless you needed something. Then they were at our beckoned call. In addition to being accommodating for all our needs on the property, they were also able to recommend reputable local services for flowers, catering, and other event needs. The Woodstock area, besides being centrally located, has plenty for people to do. Restaurants, shopping, hiking, rivers and more. If we were to ever again have a need for a venue, this would be the place.

  After touring and evaluating multiple locations for our daughter's wedding, her fiancé and family, she, and we picked the Farmhouse Inn. And we are really glad we did. The B&B is very comfortable and laid back. It has the New England charm and amenities that one would expect.   The Farmhouse Inn at Robinson Farm was the most beautiful and PERFECT place for our dream wedding!! The 5-story barn is an absolute showstopper (everyone is still raving about it!!!). When you walk in, it really takes your breath away. Not only is it impressive in size, it is of great craftsmanship. It is such an amazing space and very customizable. Barry and Tory were extremely flexible in helping us design the space the way we wanted it. And yes, the floor can hold 100 people dancing their hearts out!! The Inn is amazing – our whole family instantly felt at home there. It is cozy and everything is exceptional and high-quality. The rooms are all unique and gorgeous. And bonus – Barry and Tory make a lot of homemade items including honey and bath products, plus Tory makes the most incredible and delicious breakfast every morning. I still can’t stop dreaming of those meals!!! The property is also incredible - with multiple location choices to hold the ceremony, reception, and other weekend activities. The space is gorgeous all year round – we visited in winter, spring, and summer (in all types of weather), and it is just a peaceful and beautiful place. Owners, Barry and Tory, are amazing. They are so warm, friendly, accommodating, talented, and just overall wonderful people. They went over the top to make sure everything was perfect. The planning process and the weekend of the wedding ran so smoothly. They were always quick to respond and we always felt like they had everything under control. They are professional but also very personal and flexible, which was perfect for us. They really made us feel like family. Overall, the Farmhouse Inn is a really special place that I will always hold near and dear to my heart. I would recommend it to anyone, and I cannot wait to visit again soon!

  Barry and Tory truly made our day spectacular. They stayed in touch with us as we prepared for our big day and were very accommodating to us as we made changes to our ceremony location. Because we were having a very small, intimate wedding, Barry and Tory opted to cater our ceremonial dinner for us -- the tables were set up beautifully, the food was probably the best meal I've had in my life, and they were happy to accommodate some of our picky guests. They even let us use their horse for photos and started a fire for us as the night came to an end. The grounds at the Farmhouse Inn are absolutely stunning! The day was absolutely perfect.

  We had the wedding of our dreams here! The Farmhouse Inn is an incredibly beautiful, versatile, unique setting run by one of the best couples you'll ever meet. There's not another venue quite like this - it really is a magical place.
  
  All it's beauty aside, the truly special thing about The Farmhouse Inn are it's owners, Tory and Barry, who are genuine, warm, wonderful people to be around. They are on top of the planning and organizing well in advance and they are also adept at reacting quickly to any last-minute things that may come up. They are absolute professionals with loads of experience, they are great communicators and they have so many talented local contacts and resources ready to offer up. We always felt like they had absolutely every detail under control which really put us at ease. They guided us through the process, coordinated vendors and deliveries and answered our questions every step of the way. Most importantly they were focused on accommodating our personal tastes and style and never once tried to push any element or aspect on us. They really worked with us to make sure that our wedding day was exactly what we wanted. And it absolutely was, from top to bottom.
  
  Tory and Barry helped us throw a sincere, heartfelt, joyful, fun-as-heck party. The major takeaway from all of our guests regarding the events and moments that we had planned for the day? "This just feels so much like *you guys*." It really was the best day of our lives. Barry and Tory were incredibly organized from the start and were very helpful with any questions that we had- whether about vendors, set up details, time lines, deliveries, etc. They were always prompt with their communication and really supported us in our vision for the wedding. The small details of wedding planning can be overwhelming and every conversation we had with them was always productive and left us feeling confident that the day would run smoothly. The Inn itself is stunning- all of the rooms are clean, bright and lovely (not to mention the beds which are heavenly). The breakfast Tory makes is delicious and it is wonderful to know that everything is fresh and local. The property inspires love, fun and happiness, while connecting you with the incredible history of the Farmhouse and unmatched natural beauty of the surrounding landscape. The barn is entirely unique and will leave your guests saying 'WOW!' We had about 136 people (including our band) and everyone fit very well into the reception area of the big red barn, with plenty of room for people to get up, mingle and of course, dance their pants off. The acoustics are amazing and we tested the barn floors when everyone was jumping up and down to 'Shout' at the end of the night- they held firm! Instead of being limited to one space, guests are able to explore the grounds which is really nice if people want some fresh air or a bit of quiet. Barry and Tory were amazing on the day of our wedding- they worked non stop to ensure everything was running smoothly and were always available to assist with whatever was needed. Any couple would be lucky to start their lives together at the Farmhouse Inn and I would highly recommend to anyone. We can't wait for our next visit.

  Our wedding at the Farmhouse Inn was absolutely more amazing than I could have ever imagined! Barry and Tory were extremely helpful throughout the entire planning process. The entire wedding went smoothly thanks to their help! The barns, along with the entire venue, was in pristine condition and beyond beautiful! Our amazing photographer, Ben Hudson, had so many options on the property with beautiful landscape and rustic barns to capture the photos I had dreamed of. The Red Barn itself was the perfect place to have our reception with the gorgeous rustic wood and so much that is provided in the venue cost! Some of our guests were able to stay at the Inn and absolutely loved their stay. If we could do it all over again we wouldn't do it any different! Thank you Barry & Tory!!   Beautiful Venue

  BEAUTIFUL VENUE: The Red Barn at Robinson Farm is an idyllic location for a Vermont wedding reception. Barry and Tory are a hardworking couple. They sent us honey from their bees for the holidays! The were incredibly gracious in letting us reschedule our wedding from August 2020 to July 2021. Tory expertly coordinated with the venue's preferred vendors. They consolidated our flowers and decorations after the wedding to expedite the take-down process. We are grateful for all they did to help us execute our wedding plan.
  
  MISCOMMUNICATIONS: Yet working with Tory (the main venue coordinator) added stress to and sapped some of the joy out of the wedding planning process, mostly due to poor communication. This is a hard review to write as someone's livelihood is on the line (we'd much rather write a glowing review), yet we feel compelled to share our experience to help other couples make an informed choice about whether this is the right location to host their wedding, a once-in-a-lifetime happy occasion.
  
  The biggest miscommunication was around the venue's decision to repaint the barn in the week before our wedding date. We arrived on Friday to set up the barn only to find the front of the barn had been scraped but not painted, making it look like a worn-down, poorly maintained Vermont barn (authentic for sure, but not what we thought we were paying for), rather than a nice wedding venue. When asked, we were told there were supply chain issues regarding getting the primer. The problem with this scenario is that we had to ask about why the barn wasn't its eponymous red the day before our wedding. No other couple will encounter this exact problem, but it is illustrative of a pattern of poor, defensive communication from the venue.
  
  FOLLOW THE RULES: Like all venues, the Red Barn has lots of rules to navigate. New rules were added after the contract was signed. However, when asked, Tory and Barry were occasionally willing to entertain exceptions to their rules, which was kind, but we felt uncomfortable having to seek exceptions to rules and doing so added complexity and stress to the planning process.
  
  Try not to run afoul of the rules. Guests and family members were scolded for parking in the wrong spot. We got an overly aggressive email from the venue after we mistakenly took a box of cleaning supplies (there were many hands on deck loading up cars on Sunday morning). We returned it right away. We did our best to comply with the rules of the venue and accommodate the needs of our guests, but we fell short. We don’t know what we did wrong, but somewhere along the line, Tory turned cold on us as if everything we were doing was annoying her. We suspect we did something wrong, but were not given a chance to apologize or make things right.
  
  HIDDEN AND ADDITIONAL EXPENSES: If you are a budget-conscious couple, be wary of added and hidden expenses. For example, the Farmhouse Inn, which you must rent out in full for an additional $3,300, charges $33 a night for infants (an unlisted fee and the same as an extra adult). Charging for children to stay at the inn because they consume breakfast makes sense, but we do not understand charging for infants who do not eat solid food.
  
  Know that for many caterers you'll likely have to spend an additional $1,500+ renting a tent and other prep kitchen items because they are not provided on site.
  
  If you use the main ceremony site, a porta potty screen will be visible in the processional and recessional photos of your ceremony.
  
  Miscommunications aside, a lot of happy memories were made for my husband and I and our families at the Red Barn! It is a beautiful venue run by kind humans who, like all of us, are coming out of a long and tough year.

  BEAUTIFUL VENUE: The Red Barn at Robinson Farm is an idyllic location for a Vermont wedding reception. Barry and Tory are a hardworking couple. They sent us honey from their bees for the holidays! The were incredibly gracious in letting us reschedule our wedding from August 2020 to July 2021. Tory expertly coordinated with the venue's preferred vendors. They consolidated our flowers and decorations after the wedding to expedite the take-down process. We are grateful for all they did to help us execute our wedding plan.
  
  MISCOMMUNICATIONS: Yet working with Tory (the main venue coordinator) added stress to and sapped some of the joy out of the wedding planning process, mostly due to poor communication. This is a hard review to write as someone's livelihood is on the line (we'd much rather write a glowing review), yet we feel compelled to share our experience to help other couples make an informed choice about whether this is the right location to host their wedding, a once-in-a-lifetime happy occasion.
  
  The biggest miscommunication was around the venue's decision to repaint the barn in the week before our wedding date. We arrived on Friday to set up the barn only to find the front of the barn had been scraped but not painted, making it look like a worn-down, poorly maintained Vermont barn (authentic for sure, but not what we thought we were paying for), rather than a nice wedding venue. When asked, we were told there were supply chain issues regarding getting the primer. The problem with this scenario is that we had to ask about why the barn wasn't its eponymous red the day before our wedding. I'm not sure how Tory and Barry can defend the refusal of the refund of our wedding deposit by stating they are paying their taxes with our wedding deposit months before our event (that was not possible due to COVID) but they did. I'm not sure how a venue can withhold deposits, made "on our behalf" to various vendors, but they did. Legal Council, Local Businesses, and Wedding Vendors notified. In fact, it was local businesses and vendors who suggested their handling of our event was very uncharacteristic of any reputable, sustainable, and worth-while venue in the area. Our former wedding coordinator, Ana DiNatale (recommended by them, since fired for failure to perform) even said they have a hard time being flexible. Sorry, Farmhouse Inn. Really wish you didn't sell us an empty bag of goods.
