Highly highly highly recommend! My wife and I were married in June 2023 and after a lot of back and forth on venues a year prior, we settled on the Mission Inn (specifically the Sonoma Golf Club) as our venue. The SMI team was absolutely incredible. Debbe was amazing during the beginning stages of getting us under contract. Tracy took us the rest of the way as our wedding coordinator - I couldn’t imagine working with anyone else for the year prior to the big day. Both Debbe and Tracy were phenomenal, I can’t say it enough. Between the welcome event we had at the Mission Inn and the actual wedding at the Sonoma Golf Club, the SMI team blew us away. The food was perfect and most importantly - served on time. Every detail was accounted for all weekend. This team is so incredibly competent at running an elegant wedding weekend, we were so impressed. Anyone that is considering a wine country wedding should consider a wedding at the Sonoma Mission Inn and/or the Sonoma Golf Club. Thank you again Tracy, Debbe, and the entire SMI team! My wife and I will forever be grateful and we can’t wait to come back and stay at the hotel for many years to come!

I cannot say enough amazing things about Tracy and the team at Fairmont Sonoma Mission Inn! Our wedding took place at the Sonoma Golf Club (part of their properties) on May 19th, and it was everything we could have dreamed of and more. We knew we wanted to get married in Sonoma, but found hurdles with winery venues that we didn't want to compromise on. The Sonoma Golf Club felt like it was our own estate for the day, with a variety of locations that created our perfect backdrop. Eating dinner outside on the lawn under twinkling lights was a highlight and felt so romantic and special.

Food and beverage here is second to none - all of our guests told us the food was the best they've ever had at a wedding (and in general!). SMI worked with us to have a tasting to land on the perfect menu, and even collaborated with us to do fun unique touches like donuts and ice cream instead of cake.

We were able to keep the night going until past 11 due to the fact that dancing took place indoors - such a highlight for us! The reception also had space for a variety of activities for those who didn't want to dance - the fire pit with s'mores station was a favorite of many of our guests!

All in all, we highly recommend the Sonoma Mission Inn - stay there the weekend and make a true escape of it all, you won't be sorry!

Getting to work with the Fairmont team, specifically Debbie and Tracy, made our entire wedding planning experience so seamless! What an experience. Both ladies were incredibly helpful from the first meeting on-site, guiding us through all the decision-making, and helping us bring our Welcome Dinner and Wedding Day visions to life. Having our Welcome Dinner at the Fairmont was the best decision since the exquisite aesthetic, service and style of food carried from day to day. Both of our families and guests were so warmly greeted upon checking in and our guests felt so pampered with the many amenities that Fairmont Sonoma had to offer during their weekend visit. Our families were catered to and with all the hustle and bustle, the Fairmont staff ensured we had everything we needed throughout our stay from in-room catering service to assistance with all our wedding items being shuffled around. The Golf Club was the perfect venue in that it provided an outdoor and indoor experience from ceremony, cocktail hour and dinner. Whether it was dancing the night away or coveting the dessert bar to lounging by the fire pit with a cigar, it couldn’t have been a more perfect night with all of our loved ones. My husband and I only wished that the night would have lasted forever.

My husband (of five days) and I desired an intimate wedding in a beautiful location, surrounded by 40 people we love. We chose the Sonoma Mission Inn because it combines old-world elegance, wine country amenities, rustic charm, and great food. We know the hotel well because we live in the next county, and our family has enjoyed many joyous occasions there, including my nieces' wedding for 150 people at the golf club. This time the hotel staff outdid themselves.

Because we're in our seventies, it was a bit of a shotgun wedding, taking place within two months of our initial contact. The event planning team did everything possible to graciously streamline details that usually take months. During the following six weeks, the guest list more than doubled, and the staff was amazingly flexible and graciously reworked logistics numerous times.

Everything about the wedding was magical. The hors d'oeuvres were delicious and plentiful, the room for the ceremony and dinner was lovely, there was never a wait at the bar, and they served 94 meals and paid careful attention to our gluten-free, lactose intolerant, diabetic, and kosher guests!

With the help of the event team, we still had out intimate wedding! Everyone had a fabulous time. In addition to the wedding of our dreams, it was even more special because twenty-two guests stayed at the hotel with us.

Amazing service, great food and very professional! You can’t go wrong as they go above and beyond to make your day as perfect as you imagined it! Especially thanks to Lisa Hale and her team!

SMI is the most amazing place to have a complete wedding weekend in wine country. It is a perfect blend of upscale rooms and food, but still family friendly for those with kids. We hosted our wedding weekend here with a Welcome Dinner, wedding ceremony, and wedding reception all on the property. We spent the remainder of the weekend relaxing with family and friends by the pool and firepits. Everyone had the most amazing time and loved all the food and staff.

Patti and Debbe are execptional to work with. They got every single detail right, were flexible with specific needs, understanding with last minute changes to ensure safety (during ever changing Covid restrictions) and spoiled us with champagne, chocolates, and roses. Our wedding weekend at SMI was more than I ever could have dreamed of and all our guests agreed!

November 7, 2020, ended up being a moment the nation will never forget and an even more memorable moment for Jason and me. We had to move our wedding date several times due to COVID-19 (originally in May of 2020). This unprecedented year brought so many twists and turns for any couple trying to tie the knot. Fairmont Sonoma Mission Inn helped us figure out what we needed most to make this year have a positive and forever memorable moment! Pattie Lucero helped us move our original 150+ wedding to late 2021 at the Golf Course location, and we decided to do a small intimate ceremony in 2020 at the property. I was able to use my same wedding planner (Tan Wedding & Events), which made this even more effortless as they already knew us as a couple and were on top of everything! Only our immediate family was present, and everyone felt safe by the Accor ALL SAFE protocols at the property. We wanted to save all of our original looks for 2021. All our original vendors were fantastic in making new colors/concepts happen quickly, from flowers (Bloom & Vine) to hair & make-up (Rachel Lusk) to the location of the ceremony (Fairmont), photos (Kreate Photographery), even our cake (Batter Up Cakery) was different. We were able to set up a Live Zoom Stream for the immediate family who not able to attend from far away. We had a small dinner after the ceremony in a private outdoor space at the property; and Suzy Goodacre and her team did an outstanding job, and the food was delicious. We now have the opportunity to have the best of both worlds! A small intimate wedding ceremony this year and vow renewal with a reception and keeping our original look for all our guests for next year. My husband even surprised me with a final rose (Yes, we are avid Bachelor Fans!) Thank you to Edward Roe and his team at the Fairmont for making this happen for us and our dedicated wedding planner, Jennifer & Rick Tan, and all our vendors for diving in with us and helping make thoughtful touches to making this intimate ceremony memorable. We looking forward to doing it all again next year!

My wife and I had our elopement here this past October (2020). The staff, service, and venue were all absolutely amazing. The staff, Pattie Lucero especially, were extremely helpful in navigating the entire process! They made a day, which could end up being unbearably stressful, the most pleasant experience either of us could have asked for. Richard Wood was our photographer shot the most amazing photographs we have ever seen. We would definitely recommend Fairmont Sonoma to anyone looking to get married in California, elopement or traditional!

Two weeks ago, my daughter was married at the Fairmont Mission Inn and Spa in Sonoma. (The wedding and reception were actually at the Sonoma Golf Club, but all the arrangements were made by the Fairmont.) The wedding, the reception, the brunch the next day, and the miscellaneous gatherings we had at the hotel were all spectacular. The extraordinarily high level of service, the quality of the food, and the quality of the vendors suggested by the Fairmont, made the whole experience both fun and easy. The entire weekend of the wedding, we didn't have to worry about a single detail: we could just all relax and enjoy our friends and family. In particular, I would like to mention Lisa Hale, the wedding planner assigned to us by the Fairmont. She was amazing. She responded to every question promptly, and her attention to detail was critical to making the wedding such a success. The entire wedding weekend was magical. Kudos to the Fairmont Mission Inn and Spa!

In a year full of unknown, Pattie & the entire team at the Fairmont has put my mind at ease. They’ve worked with me as I’ve planned my wedding (twice) from across the country and even made a tasting happen during the unprecedented times. The Fairmont has made the wedding planning process seamless, and as a “covid bride” I couldnt be more grateful knowing whatever curve ball the world throws us next, the Fairmont is there to help me pivot!

Post-wedding, it's actually been hard for me to move on from the Fairmont Sonoma. We fell in love with the venue the moment we saw it. And from our booking to our wedding date, Sasha and Lisa at the Fairmont became both friends and partners. They went above and beyond for us at every turn to make our wedding dreams a reality. We couldn't be more grateful to have chosen this venue.

Response time from Sasha and Lisa is unmatched - they are INCREDIBLE and it's hard to find that level of service in wine country.

Food is AMAZING.

The venue is totally stunning (and you can serve hard alcohol!!! unlike at vineyards)

They become your partners, which is something that (you'll see) is invaluable once you've booked!!! they allowed for food customizations and cake customizations - it was awesome.

Beyond that, the whole experience was just enjoyable. You only have a moment for your wedding, but you have a WHOLE LOT of time planning. Make sure you do it with people you love and at a venue you love - this was unquestionably it for me.

Hands down, Fairmont is the best caterer to go with for a wine country wedding. We received so many compliments on the quality of the food at our wedding. Our guests loved the creative appetizer (goat cheese flan) and the chicken dish (with amazing risotto) and vegetarian dish (Thai curry) received rave reviews. We did not have red meat at our wedding, but from our tasting, we know that ANY of the Fairmont food is delicious. We had guests tell us that our cake set the bar for all wedding cakes and they loved the surprise of a late night snack. During the planning process, every interaction we had with Fairmont was helpful, professional and so friendly - from Sasha who did our first tasting with us, to the chefs, and to Lisa who we primarily interacted with. We had a lot of different questions and requests and Lisa was always responsive and flexible with us. We had a special family recipe that we wanted to incorporate into our hor dourves, and Lisa worked with the chef to make sure we were able to serve it to guests on our wedding day. Lisa and the chef even went out of her way to let us do a special tasting of the family recipe prior to our wedding day. In addition, on the day of our wedding, we got ready at the Fairmont with our wedding party and did our first look on the property. The bridal suite was perfect for us to have many girls in one place getting hair & makeup done. The Fairmont property was a beautiful setting for our first look. We are so happy to have chosen Fairmont for our wedding day!

We were very happy with food and service. Our cake was stunning and good to eat. The food was excellent.

This is a stunning venue with impeccable service. I love that it combines rustic elegance together so that you feel comfortable while enjoying the finer things in life simultaneously. It is black tie without feeling stuffy. The staff were very accommodating to my vision and worked hard to make my wedding weekend one to remember!

We had our ceremony and reception here on October 23, 2010. First off, this site is absolutely beautiful, romantic and intimate. We were so excited to have an outdoor wedding in the beautiful fall weather. We were thrown for a loop and it POURED RAIN on our wedding day! The Sonoma Mission Inn (Catherine Merry and her employees) had to provide a last minute back up plan for our outdoor wedding. At the last minute, they were able to move everything indoors and still make the wedding absolutely beautiful and memorable. They also provided very nice and expensive umbrellas for all 150 of our guests to use during the wedding! So many things had to be changed the day of the wedding to fit the weather and the Sonoma Mission Inn did an amazing job executing it.

Also, the wedding coordinator Catherine was just amazing. So responsive, polite and professional. The servers and bartenders at the reception were as incredible. The food was DELICIOUS!! And the pastry chef put together an absolutely stunning 5-tier cake. I would not have changed a thing!

We had a small outdoor wedding right on the Fairmont Sonoma property and it was absolutely perfect. We chose to to the elopement package for up to 10 guests. It was exactly what we had envisioned. We both wanted a short but sweet outdoor ceremony with our immediate family present. We had our champagne toast on the lawn and Dinner and Sante afterwards. The food was some of the best I've ever had. If we had to to it all again, we wouldn't change a thing!

I had my wedding ceremony and reception at the Sonoma Golf Club this weekend and it was more amazing than we had anticipated. The location of our ceremony and cocktail hour was so beautiful that we didn't need to dress it up with large floral arrangements and rented linens. Guests were excited about the cocktail canapes and service, but were especially wowed during the dinner reception. The room was beautiful and the service was extremely professional. The staff paired our own wine with the food (just as we had requested) and were wonderful about staying in the background to allow guests to enjoy their food and conversations. I highly recommend this location for weddings as well as the preferred vendors they work with in the area.

We had our cocktail hour and reception here (Sonoma Valley Room) and it was just perfect! The service was fantastic, as was the food, and all the staff. Perfect, perfect day!

We had a beautiful wedding weekend at the Fairmont Sonoma Mission Inn and Sonoma Golf Club. The food, service, location, and overall experience could not have been better for us! We are so glad we chose to host our out-of-town guests here in the heart of Sonoma Wine Country.

I can’t put into words how amazing Sonoma Fairmont Mission Inn & Spa is. Sasha and Lisa gave us our dream wedding in 4 days time, after our venue canceled on us because of the Kincaid fire. Literally, we had a meeting with them on WEDNESDAY and they had every detail in order to host are truly beautiful wedding with a 130 guests by the next day, with our wedding happening on Saturday. They are not only extremely professional and capable but also were so compassionate and down to earth.

Our guests raved about our wedding. The location, the beautiful grounds, the food, and the service. We got married on the lawn underneath a beautiful arch, had our cocktail hour outside with bocce ball and lawn jenga, then hosted dinner and reception in the pavilion. Everything was beautiful, well thought out, and there was never one issue. They listened to what we wanted and accommodated it to the best of their ability.

Not to mention it is the most instagram able wedding location in Sonoma county: beautiful ivy, grounds, Spanish inspired building with tile steps, fountains, and an insanely gorgeous lit up massive oak tree steps outside the pavilion.

We also stayed there for 2 nights, as did a handful of our guests. Their customer service in the hotel is just as amazing, and the morning breakfast and hotel bar cocktails are a must !!! They even laid out rose petals in our honeymoon suite and left us champagne and chocolate covered strawberries.

It was an unforgettable experience. You will not regret having your wedding here!

We chose the Fairmont Sonoma Mission Inn & Spa because we wanted something close to San Francisco but also really wanted a beautiful outdoor ceremony with great weather. The team at the Fairmont was beyond fantastic- particularly Lisa Hale and Sasha Talsky. They were super responsive and made sure that every detail was taken care of. We are so happy with how everything turned out and would definitely recommend the Fairmont Sonoma for a wedding.
