Bukky .. Bukky .. Bukky.. Where do I even start.. throughout the entire wedding process she has been absolutely AMAZING. Her and the Team took care of us from the start of us inquiring, leading alll the way up to our wedding day. The fact that she has a schedule full of couples but still manages to give her all to everyone is absolutely outstanding. It’s clear that she’s a professional and knows how to plan a wedding with passion , trust and commitment. We are soo greatful for you beyond words, thank you for truly caring about us , we felt soo closely connected with you through the whole entire time!! Our wedding day was absolutely beautiful and seamless because of you. Exquisite Events and Floral Design will not miss a beat and will make sure you are satisfied !!! Bukky and her team did an AMAZING job on our wedding day. The day went flawlessly. Exquisite Events & Floral Design handled our wedding planning and all the decor as well. Some things I really appreciated were Bukky's professionalism and her consistency throughout the whole process. She was beyond helpful, experienced, and knowledgeable, especially since we had no experience and really no external guidance. She gave us a calming feeling throughout the entire process. We also loved working with her whole team! On the day of the wedding, she had her team split up, one with my wife and one with me, while Bukky ran the show at the venue. They were great resources for us and worked seamlessly with our videography/photography team. Overall, we are SO grateful and blessed to have been recommended to Exquisite Events & Florals. It’s a 10/10 for anyone looking for assistance. -

Lives Up to the Name
Bukky from Exquisite Events & Floral Design really did love up to her business's name. She helped to create an absolutely exquisite floral design for my wedding and I have received nothing but compliment after compliment since the event, with people describing the set up as "like a fairy tale," "a winter wonderland," and "like a scene out of Bridgerton," (I'll take it! Haha). I can only take credit for the initial idea of what I wanted. Bukky listened to my ideas, developed a beautiful design mock-up to share with me and executed it flawlessly. Beyond that, she was kind and friendly to work with, open to unique requests (I had some personal items I wanted to incorporate into the bridesmaid bouquets and she was so accommodating!), and so clearly concerned with making sure that my husband and I were happy with how things turned out. I can't recommend her enough. She is an artist. She is a professional. She clearly has integrity in her work. Heck, she was even an advocate for me when ones of my other vendors tried to bully me.
TLDR: YES. I would hire Bukky all over again, and you should, too. She will exceed expectations. -

Bukky was responsible for the decor for my intimate wedding ceremony. During our initial conversation, I explained my vision and presented some general ideas I had and she assured me that she would deliver. There was a little bit of skepticism - not in her abilities but in the vision itself and how it would come together at my specific venue. Come the wedding day, I saw that she had perfectly executed all that we had discussed down to the last detail! Plus she convinced me to have a bouquet and even threw one (a very beautiful one too) in for free when I considered going without one; glad she brought me to my senses there as that definitely completed the look! Bukky was a perfect picture of professionalism and likeability; I highly recommend her- definitely one to have in your corner on that special day! -

Where do I even start?!?! From day 1 of meeting Bukky I knew she was the one we were going to go with. We ended up hiring her for our wedding decorations as well as our planner and it was by far the best decision we could've made. Her professionalism, responsiveness, creative mind, and overall ability to bring my vision and many ideas to life made our experience with her one to remember. My husband and I couldn't be any more pleased with the way she came through for us. Not only on our wedding day, but throughout the entire wedding process. She was there every step of the way; whether it was meetings with the venue, creative brainstorming sessions, my venting phone conversations or being flexible enough to meet in person when needed! Oh did I mention she managed 275+ friends and family the day of the wedding (all while making sure I stayed cool, calm and collective)? She was able to adapt and make quick adjustments when things went wrong that were outside of our control. Her problem solving and multi-tasking skills are exceptional! I can not even begin to imagine my wedding day without Bukky.
Bukky did an amazing job at really listening to what I wanted for my wedding day and adding in her expertise for all design ideas. The ceremony room was very elegant. The Chuppah she created for the ceremony surpassed our expectations in quality and overall beauty. The sweetheart table and centerpieces were the talk of the night! The overall detail her team has when designing a ceremony and reception room is remarkable to say the least. It was worth every penny! She is truly gifted. I am still getting compliments today at how beautiful our room was and we owe it all to Bukky! -

Wonderful Experience
The Exquisite Events & Floral Design team did a wonderful job on our wedding. The team was organized and professional in interacting with celebrants, our guests and vendors. Communication from the beginning was top-notch with a prompt response to our text messages, phone calls, and emails. Bukky helped us with vendor recommendations including hotels, event venues, DJs, MCs, caterers, videographers, and photographers. She also helped us with recommendations for wedding attires for bride and groom clothing, and transportation across all venues (hotel, church, reception). Hiring Exquisite Events & Floral Design was one of the best decision we made through the wedding planning process. Our wedding was beautiful and we also gain a friendship in return. Exquisite Events and Floral Design did an amazing job on my big day! I can't believe how everything turned out so beautiful and elegant. I was so all over the place but Bukky took care of everything, she put my mind to ease! I gave her last minute requests to take care of and she handled it so seamlessly.
Bukky was like my counselor, my partner and my friend during this whole process. I don't know how she was able to do it all because I must admit I was not the most organized bride. Somehow Bukky managed to work her magic and handle all the things that seemed like it was too late to address.
Exquisite Events and Floral Design handled all the floral for my wedding party and it all came out so gorgeous! The décor for the stage and overall arrangement for my wedding was top of the line! I would definitely recommend Exquisite Events and Floral Design to handle all your event planning and décor. I don't know what I would have done if I didn't find Exquisite Events and Floral Design. -

Best Wedding Planner
If you are reading this review and you are thinking “nah I don’t need a wedding planner.”...STOP IT...Yes YOU DO need a wedding planner. When my wife and I started our wedding planning in July 2018, we were working, attending school full time, and planning our multicultural wedding became overwhelming with shopping for different banquets, vendors, etc. When my wife proposed hiring Bukky, I was against it. But after consulting with Bukky and explaining our budget and our vision. She told us that she can make it happen...And She Did!! From the moment we hired her. She helped us choose vendors suitable for us and our style. She created deadlines and that relieved a lot of stress during our planning. My wife and I were at time indecisive, and she remained patient and guided us to make decisions. Bukky was always available. She communicated to vendors that were unresponsive to us. She was flexible with some last minute changes that we made and quickly informed our vendors. Even with the last minute logistic stuff that needed to be done, she was emotionally available for us. Two days before our wedding, my wife was concerned about her hairstyle. Bukky called and reassured my wife that her envisioned hairstyle will look good. Overall, Bukky delivered the vision we had for our wedding. As the groom, I was mostly concerned with staying within budget and she made sure we did. African wedding can be a bit chaotic and out of order at times and we were afraid of that. Bukky made sure that we remained on schedule and everything was well organized and beautiful. Every guest at our wedding complimented on how beautiful our wedding was and everyone had fun. We were pleased with her services and as the husband who wanted to do this wedding DIY, I am so glad we hired her. THANK YOU SO MUCH BUKKY!!! -

Tremendously accessible, Bukky walked my bride and I through choice after choice to compose a story that was perfect - perfect for us. While working with her on those big picture pieces, Bukky a thousand lesser decisions on our behalf.
In addition to having good vendor relationships of her own, Bukky seamlessly managed the vendors we brought to her (including one or two international ones. My bride and I both work, a lot. We were purchasing our first home at the same time as the wedding - it would not have been possible to close without Bukky.
I'd recommend reviewing her instagram, her website, but you'd need to catch her at a vendor fair to get the full effect of her design sense. As a florist as well as a planner, she has the eye for the vision as well as the details. -

Our wedding was a dream! We had told Bukky exactly what we wanted and she delivered an excellent, flawless & exquisite wedding. Everything went seamlessly, the decor was whimsical and they were also able to take into account our intercultural differences as we planned our big day. She is professional and will help you find the vendors which suit the visions for your wedding. Plus, she will get the best bargain for you on things that you aren’t not even aware are possible. This company was the best choice for our wedding needs from planning, decor, and I must say Bukky did her thing as the “day of” coordinator!! We got so many compliments about how classy our wedding was and how smoothly things went! Plus, the planning was really fun looking back at it all now that it’s over because honestly, it didn’t not seem like we hired a company to help put the wedding together, but moreso like a friend or family member was helping us because she is there with you every step of the way. On behalf of my husband and I, We like to say THANK YOU for the success of our wedding on March 31st. From the beginning of the planning of the wedding, you have been great! I enjoyed every single moment we spent planning my wedding. You paid close attention to details I wanted. I wanted a stressed free day and I was stressed free and worry free. The morning of the event was relaxing and I wasn't worried about anything. All vendors delivered on time and I got so much compliment on all of the vendor selections you recommended. The decor was EXQUISITE and few details I wanted was done perfectly. Our wedding favors were placed on each table accordingly and the floorplan was exactly the way we planned it. You executed the timeline perfectly and coordinated the day; Everything was on point! Your company exceeded our expectations and your professionalism was top-notch. The Lord almighty shall continue to enlarge your company beyond your imagination. I will definitely refer friends and family to your company. There is no limit to height God will take you. FYI we used her service for decor and planning. -

I thought long and hard about leaving this review but felt I needed to share my truth.
Bukky was a referral from a friend, therefore, I assumed she would be trustworthy. I hired her to coordinate my landmark birthday. She gave me many ideas when we spoke on the phone prior to being hired. Because she was so expensive, we agreed that she would serve as a coordinator and she promised on the day of my event I would not have to do ANYTHING. She said the cost was to cover the 8+ hours she would be working on that day.
She mentioned on several occasions how she’s been honored in magazines for her weddings. I was excited to work with her. She convinced me that I wouldn’t have to do anything on the day of my event but show up and enjoy myself. That’s not quite what happened.
I was a little reluctant when she required 1/2 payment immediately, and the remaining in full 2 weeks before event. I’ve never paid anyone in full for services not performed. But I proceeded since she was a referral. When asked about this she told me “you can cancel if you’d like”, even though payment was non-refundable. Red flag.
Her contract had many restrictions (ie, don’t call/text outside of her business hours, non-refundable cancellations, etc).
Two weeks prior to event, I was getting a little worried because she had not visited the venue and I felt we hadn’t accomplished much outside of our phone conversations (we’d spoken on the phone twice for at least 2 hours each call).
She was offended and replied immediately with a written recap of all we discussed on the 2 phone conversations. (I wondered why I didn’t get a recap prior.) Day before party, she agreed to pick up items from me to take to party next day. She was purchasing a car that day and wasn’t able to come at the agreed time, but offered to come late that evening at 10p. I agreed although I mentioned that she didn’t have to come so late. She picked the items up and delivered them to the decorator next morning. I told her the decorator should have picked the items up since I was paying them both and that wasn’t part of the agreement. I later learned she arrived at the venue at least an hour late. She was supposed to be the first one there to address all vendors and ensure everything was running smooth. That explains why she would deliver items to the decorator night before.
The day of, many of my vendors I hired, and many of my guests, complained about “the coordinator”. Most people didn’t even know I had a coordinator. One of my major & repeated requests was that guests would be informed that food could be eaten upon arrival and throughout the night. I did not want a formal sit down nor did I want to take any food home. Guests were coming to me asking when could they eat and when could they get dessert, and I got there an hour late. The comedian was angry because Bukky insisted she arrive earlier than we agreed to. The caterer complained that she couldn’t get into the venue and she felt rushed once she was able to get in. The dancer used her phone for music instead of the DJ. All these things should have been handled by the coordinator.
The floating candles (that were to be included in the rental price) never made it to the decorations. I especially purchased diet coke for a special guest that never made it to the bar. When my guest asked about diet coke, she ran to the back and grabbed it. Many guests did not know there was an open bar. I had to intervene throughout the party and ended up returning many of the drinks.
Bukky was professional but was quarrelsome whenever I questioned her. She left the party about 30 minutes prior to me, and my immediate family and I ended up cleaning, sweeping and taking loads of food & drinks home. I returned most of the unopened champagne.
Overall, I had a wonderful time. Bukky did a lot: phone calls to me & vendors, picked up cupcakes from bakery, picked up/dropped off decor, and I supposed did her best to manage the event on day of.
But she seemed overwhelmed and ultimately did not live up to her promise that I would not have to do anything day of. It was quite the opposite. Her fee definitely did not match her service.
When I phoned her a few days after to share feedback, especially what I received from guests and vendors, she was argumentative but did apologize. She then sent me a long letter disputing any accusations. I told her if it were ne or two complaints, I might understand. But when there were multiple people complaining about various things throughout the part (there ware about 75-80 people in attendance), everyone can’t be mistaken. I asked if she could reimburse something and she said she didn’t feel it was necessary.
I certainly do not doubt previous reviews that as a wedding planner Bukky does a phenomenal job. But my experience having her as a coordinator fell short. And for that I am sorry that I didn’t experience what others did, which enabled them to leave a raving review. -

I would not describe my experience with Exquisite Floral Events as positive or professional. Working with Bukky was extremely disappointing and frustrating.
After an initial meeting with my husband and me, Bukky offered to serve as our wedding planner pro bono, provided we paid for her décor services. She explained that she wanted to add our venue, The Armour House, to her portfolio. While the offer seemed generous at first, we were uncomfortable with how much emphasis she placed on how our wedding could benefit her business.
Unfortunately, our experience with Bukky did not meet expectations. Several concerns arose early in the planning process, leading us to decline her pro bono planning offer and hire a different planner. However, we paid her in full for the décor services.
Three months before our wedding, she unexpectedly attempted to charge us a $600 “flower color change fee.” When we questioned the charge, she became defensive and condescending. Her explanations shifted—from blaming tariffs to claiming the fee was “in the contract.” When we pointed out that it wasn’t, she insisted we hadn’t read the contract properly and spent a Zoom call lecturing us for 15 minutes about how clients need to “read contracts more carefully.”
After consulting with our lawyer, it was confirmed that the contract did not authorize such a fee. When we brought this to her attention, she agreed to remove the charge “as a favor.” But in our view, it was never a legitimate fee to begin with.
However, even after supposedly removing the fee, our total was even slightly higher than before. This raised further concerns about transparency and honesty in her billing.
This lack of accountability and the manipulative tone of her communication left us feeling that Bukky was not someone we could trust on our wedding day. And sadly, this was only the beginning of the dysfunction we experienced while working with her.
I am sharing this review based on my direct experience working with Bukky as a wedding vendor. I noticed that she has attempted to have my negative reviews removed from multiple wedding platforms, which I believe reflects a lack of accountability rather than a willingness to improve.
In my opinion, transparency is essential in the wedding industry. Not every experience is going to be perfect—and that’s okay. What matters is how vendors handle challenges and respond to feedback. I know I’m not the only one who has had a disappointing experience with Bukky. If you are considering working with her, I strongly recommend reading the 1-star reviews on The Knot. My experience aligns closely with many of the concerns shared there. -

After meeting with my spouse and me, Bukky offered to do our wedding pro bono, as she wanted to add The Armour House to her portfolio. At the time, this seemed like a nice gesture, although it concerned me when she went on at length about how the Armour House would benefit her career. This was an early indication that her focus seemed to be on how our wedding could serve her business interests rather than on making the day truly special for us as a couple.
Based on our experience, I would strongly advise future couples not to hire Bukky as either a planner or florist. The fees she charges simply do not match the quality of service.
On the day of our wedding, our décor did not arrive until 4:30pm, even though guests began arriving at 4:45pm. Exquisite was still setting up as our guests entered the venue, which felt disruptive and unprofessional. In addition, many décor items were missing, and the overall design did not align with the inspiration we had shared with Bukky.
In the days following our wedding, we did not receive any communication or explanation from Bukky about what went wrong, nor was there any proactive offer of a refund for the items that were missing. As a newly married couple, we had to chase her for answers instead of being provided with transparency and accountability. It was extremely disappointing that she neither reached out nor offered a refund promptly to ease the stress caused by her disorganization and lack of follow-through.
There are many décor companies truly worth your money—please don’t make the mistake we did by investing here.
Exquisite was the only vendor on our wedding day that we didn’t have a positive experience with. In our view, Bukky did not come across as prioritizing us as clients. Much of her focus appeared to be on how our wedding could help grow her company, which left us feeling overlooked and unsupported. -

I am writing this review in attempts to help future brides and save them from the headache. Bukky, the owner of this company, is very disrespectful, rude, condescending, degrading and absolutely deceiving. When I met her, she seemed to be a very nice and humble person. Shortly after signing contacts, she began to disrespect my fiancé and I over questions about her procedures and policies, she called my fiancé and I names, and she always sent rude messages and emails to us. The past few months of working with exquisite events and floral design has been the most stressful time of my life!!
DO NOT HIRE THIS COMPANY TO PLAN YOUR WEDDING!!!!
Unless, you want someone to speak to you as if you were the gum underneath their shoes or if you want someone to do what they want for your wedding and not what you want. If you are looking to relieve yourself of the stress of wedding preparations.... THIS IS NOT THE VENDOR FOR YOU!
This company is fraudulent and an absolute waste of money!
