Wouldn't Have Chosen Anyone Else!

Working with Sam as our wedding planner was truly one of the best decisions we made during our entire planning process. Meeting with her virtually throughout the year gave me so much peace of mind—she kept me on track, helped me check off every box, and made what could have been a stressful process feel manageable and even fun.

Sam was always just a text or call away—whether it was to follow up with a vendor who wasn’t getting back to us or simply to listen and offer reassurance when I was feeling overwhelmed. Her support meant the world to me. On our wedding day, she and her team made everything flow so seamlessly. From making sure we had a moment to eat after the ceremony to keeping the entire day running smoothly, Sam was always one step ahead.

I truly can’t thank her enough. Our day was perfect, and that’s largely because of her dedication, kindness, and organization. If you’re planning a wedding in Ellicottville or anywhere in Western New York, I highly recommend Sam—she’s a total gem, and I’m honestly going to miss chatting with her. Best Wedding Planner!

Sam was absolutely INCREDIBLE to work with! She is the nicest and sweetest person ever and always got back to me super quick with any questions I had. Wedding Planning QUEEN

Working with Sam was the best decision we could have made during our wedding process. As soon as we got engaged I knew I had to work with her. We had an initial phone call to determine if we would be a good fit and instantly hit it off. I initially presented her with one vision and eventually flipped the script on her and changed the whole vision. Sam didn’t miss a beat and helped us bring our new vision to life. She helped us with vendor recommendations that fit our budget and vibe. She was always available for questions and concerns even regarding what may seem like the tiniest detail. It was literally like she saw our Pinterest board and hit copy & paste! Sam also created our entire day of timeline which kept everyone on schedule. My husband and I were able to truly be present and enjoy our wedding day because of Sam and her team. They have a special knack for understanding what’s important to their couples and ensuring their day goes their way. We couldn’t imagine our day without Sam and will forever sing her praises!

5 stars for EVL events!

We are SOOOO happy and thrilled to have worked with Sam Nelson and her team… shout out to Jenna who assisted Sam in so many ways. It was a true privilege. Our wedding was two months ago and we’re still thinking about it. We did the full planning package and it was worth every penny. We knew from our first onboarding call that they were the best. Sam is so attentive to every detail, sweet, creative, and superb at communicating. Good communication can be hard to find in the wedding industry, but Sam is the exception. She was always fast to respond and acknowledge our calls, messages, and emails throughout the whole planning process. They were also budget conscious and respected our vision.

These ladies are fierce and outstanding at what they do, and we could not imagine doing our wedding without them. They pulled off an amazing weekend for us. They work with the best vendors that Buffalo has to offer. She also has good connections in the wedding industry to get you an “in” with whatever you may need. The time and work they take off your plate is priceless.

The day and weekend ran so smoothly. We were truly able to sit back and enjoy our most important day. The flow was SPOT ON. Every moment was curated so beautifully and seamlessly. Sam has a wonderful eye and you can trust that she will pull off a beautiful outcome with her staging, tablescapes, and execution. Her designs are tasteful with a touch of whimsy. She also keeps up with the latest trends, so you can be assured that she will bring modern and up-to-date elements to your special day. They were there for us in every way possible; holding our hand every step of the way… literally held our hands and escorted us everywhere we needed to be that day. Many accolades to EVL Events! The best!!!

I am having difficulty finding the words to describe Sam and her team at EVL Events - they are amazing!!! From the beginning of the wedding planning process, Sam was there to guide us and offer her recommendations. She made a process that can be quite stressful into something fun and enjoyable. Her team kept us organized and on track throughout so that we never got overwhelmed by any details. On the day of the wedding, I felt so calm and was able to enjoy every moment of the day not worrying about any logistics because Sam and the EVL Events team had it all taken care of! They are not only extremely professional, but the nicest group of people and so much fun to work with. Every detail of the day was exactly what I had envisioned (or better) and I wish we could re-live it 1000 times. I got married at the Annex on 6/17/22 and without EVL Event's talent and vision, planning from Dallas, Texas would've been impossible. Sam and her team at Evl Events made our wedding possible. Without a doubt, our wedding wouldn't have come to life, and been on schedule, without them. Sam will tell you that you should be a guest at your own wedding, not hosting it, and that is exactly how we felt. Kennedy Rosario from EVL Events was absolutely amazing! My now-wife, Erin, and I originally didn't expect to hire a wedding planner/coordinator. After a few weeks Erin quickly realized it would be crazy not to have one. Getting set up with Kennedy was the best possible thing that could have happened. She made sure we could enjoy the process of planning by providing a great reference list of to-dos, recommended deadlines, and checking in with us periodically. These deadlines enabled us to relax and not feel as though we were "too late!", or falling behind during the planning process. The day of the wedding Kennedy was equally, or possibly even more valuable/awesome. She facilitated the day as smoothly as one could imagine, and with great attention to the details most important to us. Great Decision

Kennedy and the EVL team were terrific to work with from start to finish. We hired Kennedy during the middle of our wedding prep and it was the best decision we made. She thought of all of the little details that we didn’t think about and reassured us that we were in great shape given all the work that we did before hiring her. That in itself was great to know! We hired Kennedy and EVL to make sure that we didn’t have to think about anything during the days/weeks leading up to the wedding and the wedding itself. We just wanted to focus on each other, family, friends, and enjoying the moment. That’s exactly what happened! It was especially helpful since we live in Boston but our wedding was in Buffalo. I cannot rave about Sam and EVL Events enough! Sam and her team are the best of the best and execute every detail with excellence. Our day went flawless and that could not have happened without Sam’s planning skills. Every detail was accounted for and every guest and other vendor there could not stop talking about how amazing Sam was. She is well known and respected by all vendors in the area which definitely helps you secure the vendors you are looking for. Sam even spent several days looking for the exact napkin color I wanted because she values her clients and cares about your wedding as much as you do.

She made the planning process a breeze and so much fun. Sam became a dear friend in the process and someone I am so sad to not be able to email every day haha! I would plan a wedding a million times over with Sam if I could. We are forever thankful for EVL events. Sam and the whole EVL team were crucial in planning our Buffalo wedding from Minnesota throughout the pandemic. Not only did Sam work with us one on one to connect us with top vendors in Buffalo, but she was along for the ride (including a postponement!) in helping us finalize all the details to give me the wedding of my dreams.

Went above and beyond!

EVL Events helped plan our wedding way more than we expected. They took a huge load of stress off our shoulders when it came to communicating with vendors and scheduling the wedding day. Best Decision Ever!

I cannot recommend EVL Events enough! We were very organized during the whole wedding planning process and initially had no plans to hire a coordinator. About 5 months before our wedding, we found out that the events coordinator at our venue had quit and there was a new team which left us feeling uneasy. I reached out to a few day planners just to get a feel, and after hanging up from my first phone call with Sam, I knew we had to book her. Sam & Kennedy came to our planning meeting at the venue, and was the line of communication between all of our vendors during the final month. I had complete confidence in their team, which left the month before the wedding stress free and exciting. On the night of our rehearsal, our priest was sick leaving us by ourselves in the church. Kennedy & Lauren took control and walked us through the rehearsal seamlessly.
I don’t think many couples can say that their entire wedding day went off without a single hitch, but because of Sam, Kennedy and Lauren my husband and I are lucky to say ours did. They helped with the set up, the vendor coordination, design aspects and timeline. Sam even helped bustle my dress! You will not regret having Sam and the EVL team as part of your wedding day, and having them is absolutely worth it.

Sam and Kennedy were able to walk me through each and every detail (some that I hadn't even thought of before!) leading to the most seamless and stress free event I've ever planned.
Kennedy was always quick to respond to emails and gave me sound, honest, and supportive advice on things that I was unsure about! Kennedy was also present at my rehersal and went over final touches during that time. This provided me with so much confidence that every small detail was going to be taken care of on our actual day! I was pleasantly overwhelmed with how everything turned out when I walked into the room - it was EXACTLY how I invisioned my venue to look! I have nothing but amazing things to say about EVLevents and the work they do. If you are debating spending the money to hire a weddinh planner, just go for it you, you won't be let down!

If you want the best wedding, you need the best planner!

I had the pleasure of working with Sam over the last 2.5 years as a result of our wedding getting postponed in 2020 due to Covid 19. Sam was amazing during the planning process - depending on the planning option you choose, she does the research, sends you a list of recommended vendors for you to choose from, for the month leading up to the wedding she is incredibly attentive and responsive and then the week leading up, she knows exactly what to do and say to help ease whatever anxiety or concerns you may have as your big day quickly approaches. I had a absolute wonderful time working with Sam and I totally recommend her and her team. Parting ways after our wedding is similar to a bad breakup after a 2.5 year relationship! What will I do now without her!! LOL Sam - I will greatly miss working with you. Thank you for making our day so special.

EVL Events is a MUST book vendor!

Sam from EVL Events was the first vendor I booked when planning my wedding on 9-10-21, because I knew I wanted someone in control of my day and there to help things go as smoothly as possible! After going to so many weddings that dragged along or were unorganized, I wanted my weeding to be stress free and make my guests experience as good as I possibly could! And to be honest in my small town area it often can be hard finding quality vendors but Sam was beyond what I could have ever expected! Even my husband days after our wedding kept commenting on how awesome she is at her job! Her demeanor is calm and supportive and along the entire planning, even though I only hired her for day of coordinating, she kept in touch and answered and questions I had and also gave me recommendations anytime I asked! I often found myself saying "whatever you think" because I trusted her whole heartedly and the support and advice I got from her, I truly feel helped me have the most stress free day! I knew it was safe with her! Whether it was coming to the rehearsal and telling me "you don't have to do anything tonight we will take care of it all tomorrow"or getting down on the ground and rebustling my dress two seconds after I had just taken it down! I truly cannot recommend her enough and anyone who wants a stress free beautiful wedding definitely NEEDS to hire Sam! EVL Events was just superb in helping us with the recent wedding of our daughter. Every detail was covered in a professional and friendly manner and Sam went over and above in dealing with a difficult vendor. Sam helped make my dream wedding come true!

Sam and her team were very professional and made my day perfect! I was contemplating debating about hiring a wedding coordinator leading up to my wedding, and about 8 months before i decided to hire Sam and it was honestly the best decision I made. Sam was much more than a day of coordinator, and had great vendor, timeline and decor recommendations. I had a lot of little details I wanted for the wedding such as flowers, hundreds of candles, shelves, flower petals etc. and everything was executed flawlessly. My mom and I weren’t in communication with any of the vendors leading up to the big day and didn’t have to lift a finger on the day of. We just woke up, drank mimosas and got ready and everything went as planned. If your venue seems disorganized in any way, and if you want to eliminate stress, hire Sam!

Couldn’t have done it without them!

Sam and team we absolutely fantastic, and my only regret is not hiring them sooner. They worked with a really difficult venue and made sure the day was perfect. Upon arrival, nothing was arranged as we’d requested but when we walked into our cocktail hour it was clear how hard Sam worked to make sure we had the day of our dreams. The team was so nice and professional, it was the biggest comfort knowing that we had them around to manage all of our wedding day chaos. I’ll be recommending them to anyone I know getting married in WNY.

Excellent Experience

My husband and I had a fantastic experience with Sam and her team. Our original wedding date was in August of 2020, but we postponed due to Covid. Sam went above and beyond to help us navigate our difficult decision to postpone and later, to talk us through different wedding scenarios in the following months based on the ever-changing situation with large weddings and Covid. In addition to helping us with these logistics, Sam recommended some wonderful vendors to us and helped us coordinate so many details leading up to our wedding in July of 2021. We got married at Knox Farm during a complete downpour, and Sam and her team put in a ton of work behind the scenes to make sure things went smoothly for us and our guests despite the rain. Such an amazing job!

Samantha and her team really helped me feel at ease the day of my wedding. I didn’t have to worry about anything, it was all taken care of. Simply the best

We hired Sam for day-of coordination for our wedding day, but oh my god did she go above and beyond for us way more than we ever would’ve expected or imagined for day-of coordination. We worked with Sam for over a year on planning our wedding due to postponement from COVID, and when it was time to say our goodbyes at the end of the night, I truly felt like I was parting with a best friend. During that year, Sam frequently checked in just so see how we were doing, or if we were getting excited for the big day (are you kidding me?? Absolute GEM!) I felt like I could consult her with ANYTHING throughout the planning process and completely trusted her with any opinion she had. She was just a phone call or email away anytime I needed her and was so prompt in her responses every time. Her honesty and trustworthiness are unmeasured and surely needed when planning the biggest day of your life. Not only did Sam help with planning our wedding but she helped me to stay calm the day of (I was a ball of nerves) She always had a smile on her face and reminded me why we were all gathering, she made me feel at ease and kept me grounded, as well as reminded me to just breathe! Our day was beyond perfect, and went so smoothly and we couldn’t have done it without Sam. I initially hired Sam as my day-of coordinator, before the pandemic began. I knew I wanted a coordinator so that I could enjoy our wedding day. Quickly, Sam was so much more than just handling the day-of operations. She is so well connected to amazing vendors who made our day so incredible! When the pandemic hit, Sam was a constant source of information, support and encouragement. With so much uncertainty about June 2021, we ended up having to move our reception location 2 months before our wedding - something that would not have been possible (literally) if it weren't for Sam. Sam found us a new location that was available on our original date and helped us transform the new space to be more beautiful than we ever could have imagined! If you don't want to stress on your wedding day and want to enjoy every minute while also ensuring your day looks and runs exactly how you envisioned, hire Sam and her team! Wedding geniuses !

Sam and her team are absolutely incredible! Sam is a planning extraordinaire and her coordinator team is beyond professional. Sam was along for the pandemic rollercoaster with me from starting to plan a 2020 wedding at a set venue then pivoting to a 2021 wedding at my families lake house. When we decided not to get married in 2020, our plan was to wait for the pandemic to end. In February 2021, we decided we wanted to get married in July 2021. Sam whipped together a list of vendors for all of our needs in under a week and managed to do and plan things in 5 months that usually take a year!! She answered all of my emails the same day and never blinked an eye when I would send 5 emails in a row about 5 different topics. Her team day of made sure everything went perfectly, even though it was pouring rain with 40 mph winds.

I can not thank Sam and her team enough for putting together the best day ever! I HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY recommend working with EVL Events!

Excellent Service through Covid-19

Sam and her team have been by our side throughout our entire wedding planning process, beginning in January 2019. Sam has always been super responsive and helpful, from recommending vendors to in-person site visits at our venue to discuss planning details. When Covid-19 disrupted our original wedding date for May 2020, she was on top of contacting all of our vendors to postpone and find the best date to make sure we could keep our original contracts. Then when we were not able to keep our postponed date of October 2020 and decided to elope, she reached out to all of our vendors and worked with them to keep our contracts for a future date when we could host a reception with our families. Wedding planning through Covid-19 has been extremely difficult and stressful, and Sam and her team definitely helped relieve a lot of stress. We look forward to being able to plan a reception in the future with EVL Events!

Planning our WNY wedding from Texas turned out to be more difficult than we imagined so we ended up reaching out to Sam and her team for day-of coordination. Samantha was referred to me through a friend. After our first phone conversation I hired Samantha and her team to help plan my wedding since my wedding was in Buffalo NY but I lived in Connecticut. There was no way I couldve planned a wedding while in a different state! She has different services but we decided on the one where she did all the running around/phone calls and I would make the final decision.
Samantha went beyond our expectations and since I know nothing about wedding planning, she took our stresses away. From the tiniest details to the big details, she took me and guided me every step of the way to make the right decisions. Even when i questioned her to make sure "it didn't look too gaudy?" or "Too blingy?" she ensured me that she would tell me if something needed to be changed. She made me feel like I was 100% certain of every decision I made even when I still doubted myself.
Being out of town, Samantha did 99% of the running around and was able to change her schedule for me for when I did make it to Buffalo so we could meet and choose flowers, linens etc etc. She was and is very accommodating to our needs. She let me be a bridezilla for a split second or cry to her about bridal party issues that arose.
Here comes the day of the wedding. All went 100% great while getting the bridesmaids ready and then the church. Now here comes the best part of my day! I walk into Statler and she sneaks me into the venue to get a look before guests are allowed to sit. What I walked into was something I will never forget! My breath was taken away at how beautiful the tables, centerpieces, lights, candles, love sign etc all were! All my visions that I had expressed to Samantha and what I wanted for my wedding, came to real life but a million times better than I imagined! When you have months to plan a wedding and you often question how will this look or how will that look, it was breathtaking to see it all together. The centerpieces with candles and how to light reflected off. The color of the linens and chairs to the dessert table to our very precious memory table. Throughout the whole reception, her assistants kept giving up drinks and making sure my husband and I were ok. My whole wedding day went perfect because of Samantha and her team and the hard work and time they all put in to make my day exactly how i visioned it!
If you are looking for a top notch, grade A event planner, you will NOT be disappointed with Ellicotville Events! If you want someone who cares about the clients and will do anything/everything possible to do what you want and vision, Ellicotville Events is for you!

DOC is a must have for your wedding!!!

I hired Ellicottville Events for day of coordination for our wedding. The services provided are so much more than just making sure the day goes smoothly. Sam was there to set up a walk through with our venue before the big day, answer any questions I had about the entire wedding process, recommend vendors to me that suited my budget and needs, the list goes on! Sam is incredibly responsive and usually got back to me within hours, if not minutes. She also created an entire timeline of events coordinated with all of my vendors so that there was absolutely no confusion on the big day. I had lead assistants, Kayla and Kate, on my wedding day and you could see how clearly everything was communicated to them about our wedding. They already knew all the ins and outs and wants even though I mainly had contact with Sam during the planning process. Thanks to the girls, no one in my wedding party/immediate family had to lift a finger! At one point - we were 40 minutes AHEAD of schedule! They also helped my photographer out with family formals which made things run so much smoother. During the reception, they handed off my gifts and cards to a trusted family member, took the leftover food downstairs, and cleaned up the ceremony space -all while we partied. I couldn’t ask for a better experience with EE, and while I listed some main things they did to help us - it doesn’t even begin to cover how wonderful they made our wedding day. I only wish I could get married again so I could relive it all over!

Pleasure to work with

Sam was worth every penny. She made the wedding planning process super easy. She often switched her schedule around just so my husband I could meet with her in the evenings. The day of my wedding came out beautiful and her assistant Michelle was pleasure. Sam went above and beyond especially when it came to fixing the disaster of a bustle on my wedding dress. Sam along with my maid of honor where on hands and knees pinning a make shift bustle. I think I got more then just a wedding planner but a genuine person who cares about her clients happiness. She is so deserving of many great things. I truly feel like I gained a friend in Sam.

Incredible wedding coordinator!!!

We can't say enough about Sam and her unbelievable team at Ellicottville Events! First and foremost, Sam's attention to detail, creativity and dedication are second to none. She goes beyond simply providing a service -- she wants to get to know you, your venue, your likes/dislikes, your family. She cares, understanding that this is the most important day of your life and doing everything in her power to ensure it's as magical as you envision it to be. After our initial meeting with her, we knew that we wouldn't be searching any further for a wedding coordinator. Once we told her how we envisioned our day going, she went to work. Throughout the entire process, we never encountered a hiccup. But bringing Sam on was worth it for the one hiccup we did have -- and it was a big one. A few weeks before our big day, the photographer we had originally booked started acting dodgy, flakey and had us feeling uncomfortable. Instead of brushing it aside, Sam went to work. After we told her we were thinking of hiring a different photographer (and freaking out, as the wedding was only a few days away) she instantly had a myriad of new photographers available for us to book. Which we did, and so happy we switched! What was most impressive about Sam was her ability to adapt to a rapidly changing scenario and keep her wits about her. When she told us "everything is going to be ok," we absolutely believed her. The day of the wedding was perfect. No hiccups! That's a testament to 1. Sam's preparation and 2. the team she had in place. Everything was taken care of, from scheduling to specific photo requests to the card box being safely delivered to a secure location. We just can't say enough about Sam and Ellicottville Events. She made our day perfect.

I truly cannot say enough positive things about Sam and her team. From the moment we met, to our big day itself, these ladies worked around the clock to make sure that every last detail was taken care of. Sam and her team were a DREAM to work with and made planning a wedding seem seamless and worry free. They helped coordinate with my vendors to bring my dreams to life and were honestly a group of amazingly positive and encouraging women. Wedding day coordinator/ event planner

Sam Nelson was brought on board as the day of event coordinator, working in conjunction with the Holiday Valley planners and staff where our daughter's wedding was held. She went well beyond what we expected in that capacity, and, frankly, I don't know how we all would have done without her attention to the wishes of the bride and groom and of both sets of parents, and to all the details the wedding involved. The contracted photographer ran into staffing problems the week before the wedding, and as it became apparent those issues could not be resolved, she reassured us that she would handle it easily and satisfactorily, which is exactly how it played out with a new , excellent photographer and assistant. So many details were handled in stride, with clear organization - no loose ends or surprises. Our daughter, we (her parents), her groom, and his family all could think of nothing that could have made the wedding better. The entire staff at Holiday Valley did a phenomenal job at the wedding and reception, but the planning and contracting with vendors and the on site supervision of the wedding day activities that Sam coordinated and orchestrated was priceless and critical to what many attendees commented was one of the best weddings ever. Her handling of details and awareness of what is important allowed my wife and me to step back and enjoy the entire celebration, freed of any management responsibilities. We could not provide a stronger endorsement of her abilities, her cheerful, unflappable personality, and her importance in making a wedding all it should be. Clearly she deserves our highest recommendation.

Best money spent for the wedding!

We knew planning our wedding in Buffalo from San Francisco would be a little stressful. Someone who got married at the same venue as us referred us to Sam and from the first phone consultation, we knew we would be in good hands! Sam asked really thoughtful questions about what we were most stressed about, had a very calming approach, never made me feel pressured to do one thing or another, and was completely professional along the way. After listening to our needs, Sam sent over a proposed contract and a list of services that she’d be doing as our “day-of-coordinator”, curated to what we needed. Sam did so much more than just take care of us on the day of, she kept us on track from the time we signed with her 8 months prior with multiple check-ins, she did a site visit with us 3 months before, she helped organize and coordinate the rehearsal, and her and her teammate Kate were exemplary the day-of. My husband Nick and I could not have been happier with our decision to go with Ellicottville Events.

The most amazing team!

It is hard to put into words how amazing Sam and her team were throughout our wedding process! While planning our wedding from out of town, we knew we would want an event coordinator on the ground helping with everything the weekend of the event. From my very first phone call with Sam, I could tell how passionate she was about her company and how much she truly loves what she does. Hiring Ellicottville Events was a no brainer. In the months leading up to the wedding, Sam and her team went above and beyond coordination by recommending vendors they had worked with before and even researching and recommending new vendors for some of the less traditional ideas we had in mind. Then, a few months before the wedding, we learned our contact at our venue was retiring and a different team member would be stepping in - one who we had never met. While we were nervous about this transition, Sam already had a relationship with the new contact and helped make the transition as smooth as possible. In the weeks leading up to the wedding Sam contacted all our vendors to get everyone on the same page as far as timelines and also checked in with us to make sure we made all the decisions that needed to be made so we could relax on the day of the wedding. Sam was so attentive and cognizant of all of my concerns throughout every step of the way and made my concerns her concerns so I didn’t have to think twice about them. Then - the wedding - Sam and her team (shoutout to Kayla and Madison) couldn’t have done a more amazing job making sure everything went off without a hitch. From Madison calming my nerves while awaiting my walk down the aisle to Kayla making sure we got the photos we wanted but still enjoyed our day and finally to Sam doing everything and anything we wanted and needed and didn’t even know we needed, we couldn’t have been more pleased. The only thing I would change would be hiring Ellicottville Events sooner!

Sam and her team went “above and beyond” for our son’s recent wedding. Although I am not the Mother of the bride Sam happily addressed all our questions and concerns. An Incredible Team

I could not speak more highly of Ellicottville Events. The work that both Sam and Kayla did for the wedding was incredible. They truly went above and beyond and exceeded the expectations I had. I hired Ellicottville Events to do day-of coordination, but they were involved in the process much sooner. Even from the first introduction, Sam was asking all the right questions: how do you handle stress? If xyz were to occur, are you someone who wants to be told or would you rather have someone else take care of it?
It was such a relief to talk to vendors who told me “I spoke with your wedding coordinator today- she’s really lovely. She already gave me a timeline for the day-of”. They even contacted my personal friend singing in the wedding to make sure she had everything she needed for set up and knew where she was going the day of. It was a wonderful safety net to make sure I didn’t forget anything for the big day. They were also a wonderful presence the day-of and at the rehearsal dinner. Worth every penny. Please do yourself a favor and hire them to coordinate. The peace of mind they brought gave me the time to focus on what really mattered that day.

Sam was amazing!

Sams business came right at the perfect time for our wedding!! When we hired her to decorate our reception she was just starting out. But we knew having her would save us so much time and stress. She did not disappoint!! I had a vision for what the reception was going to look like and she made the Yodeler Lodge look even more amazing than what I imagined!! I could have never thought of the things she did and I was so incredibly happy. She worked with my florist and coordinator at Holiday Valley to make sure the whole day went smooth. I can't even come up with words to describe the service from Sam and her team. Anytime I had a question, concerns or freak out, Sam was there for me. She helped me create a wedding we will never forget. Kayla & Kate were with us every moment the day of and I couldn't have asked for a better pair. Sam of Ellicottville Events is an absolute must for any wedding or event. I inquired about her for my wedding out of curiosity, knowing full well I wasn't going to hire her. We loved working with Samantha and her incredible team of ladies. We got day of coordination services, but she did much more than just day of services in the grand scheme. She kept our planning timeline on schedule, helped us find the best rates for tents, met with us beforehand at the venue to do a run through, contacted or vendors and officials at the venueo this in advance to make sure it would be a seamless day, the list goes on! Her team was amazing the day of the wedding. Having them there calmed my nerves, they even made a last minute floral decoration for our cake topper that we had forgotten to do! It was more beautiful than I imagined it would be. So thankful to have chosen them to go with! Thanks again guys. :)

We had the best experience with Sam and we are extremely happy we splurged and hired her! We didn't originally budget for a day-of Coordinator, but we are incredibly thankful we did it anyways! I never thought I would hear my husband say he was glad we spent more money, but even he admits it was worth every penny. She handled so many little details on the day of (finishing up the set up we didn't do the day before, moving the ceremony inside last minute for the rain, adding an extra reception table since we didn't set out enough, going out and getting extra water for guests, etc) and handled all the issues that came up in the middle of the reception (like the caterer not bringing enough food). We had asked her to do a few things that were a little unusual (play DJ for us and start and stop the music for speeches, first dances, for instance) and she handled them all so well. There were a few issues that came up that I didn't even know happened until afterwards and she just handled them and we had zero stress the day of (minus the fact it was storming all morning!) . She even took the initiative and personally drove my grandmother from the ceremony venue to the dock where we jumped on a boat for our cocktail hour since it ended up being much farther than we were told it would be, we didn't even have to ask her to do it! I would absolutely recommend Sam and Ellicottville Events 100% to anyone considering getting a coordinator for the wedding.

Sam was extremely helpful and amazing for our wedding. She took care of every detail, organizing all of our vendors and making sure not a thing was missed. I initially wasn't going to hire her because I did not have the money to pay. I will now say this was the best money I have ever spent. I didn't have to ask my bridesmaids to wait to get ready while they set up my centerpieces, and I did not have to ask any family members to make sure things happened at my reception. She did everything for me and I was completely stress free on my wedding day AND the weeks leading up to it!

If you're planning an event in Ellicottville and you haven't hired Sam and her team, stop everything and CALL THEM! We hired Ellicottville Events for our wedding this July only two months before the big day. I'm not exaggerating when I say I don't know what we would have done without them. Sam and her team made our day perfect, despite the torrential downpour and worked tirelessly to ensure our guests had the best experience ever. Sam was hired as a day of coordinator but went above and beyond, from creating a timeline for our vendors, to helping with set up and even picking up lunch for my bridesmaids and me the day of. Her team was equally as professional and accommodating. Even other vendors emailed me post wedding to say how great Ellicottville Events were. It was by far the best money we spent in planning our wedding and even if you are doing most of the wedding planning yourself (as I did), do yourself a favour and hire Sam. My only wedding regret is we didn't hire her sooner!

Sam and her team came on a bit late in the process because the MOB (Mother of the Bride) thought she could do it herself day of wedding. Thank goodness friends of mine convinced me otherwise. I don't know how I would have done it without Sam. Best use of my money! Don't plan a wedding without a wedding planner and make sure its Sam Nelson. Honestly she allowed me to enjoy my daughters wedding and was one step ahead of me all the time!

Sam was AMAZING, as was her team. She was fun to work with and kept us on track. She was also very flexible when it came to working with "groomzilla" since the bride was traveling much of the time. :) I don't know what we would have done without her!

A very happy Mother of the Bride

My daughter heard about EVL events from a friend. Their service was excellent and worth every penny. The staff made my daughter's wishes come true, and had wonderful suggestions to make the day more special and reflective of the happy couple's tastes. Highly recommended.

Money well spent!

I honestly could not say enough good things about Sam and ellicottville events. She was extremely helpful in local knowledge of vendors, and has a wonderful working relationship with them. She was always accessible, and was a calm reassuring voice with any issues or concerns.

You and your assistants did a great job of guiding us through the process of a difficult outdoor wedding. We all took a chance weather was perfect with a bit of rain in the evening. What an opportunity to have all our families under one roof!
