A Killer 40th Birthday Celebration
I hired Events by Sophie (EBS) to throw my 40th Birthday Celebration. I told them I would love it if they could incorporate themes from one of my favorite films (a murder mystery classic!) and boy did they deliver.
Not only were my guests wearing the colors represented in the iconic film but we were all treated to bloody good decorations, killer drinks, insanely delicious food, and chillingly beautiful music. To top it all off EBS even got security to be involved in a surprise MURDER (with suspects) where I got to of course guess the killer. Plus a cool Photo Booth laden with more themed content.
I couldn’t have asked for a better celebration to usher in my 40s. -

Working with Sophie was like working with a magician; she made magic happen! Her and team were so kind and very easy to work with. She did my cousin’s bridal shower and the bride-to-be was moved to tears of joy when she saw the final result! I’m hoping she can do mine in the near future! Lol Sophie was punctual, a great communicator, and very professional. 100/10 highly recommend! -

Stop searching, you’ve found the worlds best wedding planner
Aside from finding my soulmate, finding Sophie was a close second on the list of wedding essentials! From start to finish, she was on it - organized, professional, and responsive. While working with Sophie, it was evident that she loves what she does, and that she has over a decade of planning experience.
We selected the partial planning package about a year out from our date, meeting with Sophie several times virtually and in person for site walk throughs at the venue. Every step of the way, Sophie was in our corner - providing expert advice, tips, and wisdom to ease our minds. Even when a stressful situation arose (the venue double booked our rehearsal dinner with another wedding) she jumped into action - Super Sophie mode! She coordinated with our venue point of contact and food vender to find a last minute alternative location, AND decorated it, which turned out to be the best plan b there ever was.
Sophie went above and beyond, making us feel like her only client (which was not the case!) We loved her attention to detail, her honesty when setting expectations, and her reassuring and calm presence. We’ll continue to sing high praises about Sophie to anyone who will listen - she’s the best! -

So, about 4 days before the wedding, I was still uncontrollably stressing. Everything that could be done was done. And I had turned everything over to Sophie officially weeks before. But, mentally and emotionally I was still hanging on. This event was my baby. I was so deeply connected with every detail that I couldn't imagine not worrying about it. But, my fiance and Sophie set up a meeting and made it clear to me that I really really needed to let go now. It was time. And that act of kindness, that taking the extra time to communicate with me and be firm but gentle.... freed me. It made me feel like these two people really care about me and really care about this event going well. And they've got this. And I literally did not worry about a single thing after that. And let me tell you guys. She nailed it. -

Sophie was an incredible source of support and guidance in planning our October 2022 wedding. I loved her attention to detail and having the opportunity to talk through ideas with her - whether it was choosing wedding favors and where to put signage, or how to make sure all our guests felt welcome. Her day-of support and management of our vendors was absolutely invaluable. A close friend had to cancel on coming to the wedding day-of due to a COVID exposure and I was very sad about it, but talking to Sophie about it helped me reframe the event and feel 100 percent better. That kind of personal rapport is rare and very special. Sophie is a treasure! -

Finding a positive and encouraging wedding planner with an eye for executing our unique wedding vision was priority number one for us when we started our wedding planning process. We found that and then some in Sophie! She helped us make an unusual and complicated wedding concept a reality that exceeded our and our guests' expectations. We were impressed by Sophie's willingness to run with our vision and help us take a blank industrial venue and turn it into a vibrant market feel with a modern black tie twist.
Sophie is relentlessly positive, quick to put out fires when they arise, and is always focused on you enjoying your big day. Also critically, she was able connect with a team of other outstanding vendors who shared Sophie's passion and creativity. Hire Sophie!! -

Sophie was such a rock during our wedding planning process - she was a creative partner and an unshakable professional, ensuring that we were getting exactly what we wanted for every aspect of our event. She spent many patient hours answering my questions and talking through details so that we could arrive at the venue day of fully confident that our day was going to be exactly what we dreamed. Perhaps most importantly, when my husband and I came down with COVID two days before our wedding, Sophie immediately started contacting vendors and within hours had arranged a new date and rebooked every single one. All we had to do was inform our guests and focus on getting better - I don't know what we would have done without her! We highly recommend booking Sophie for all your event planning needs. -

I had an opportunity to work with Sophie and her team at Events by Sophie for my 35 birthday dinner this year and that was the best decision I made. I was extremely nervous about whether I should host something because of COVID, but after meeting with her she helped me to not only plan the event she put my mind at ease. She assisted me in creating a unique theme, identifying a location and vendors which were all COVID compliant. She was extremely professional, responsive to my needs, and so creative. I was so pleased with the outcome of my event and so were my guests. I look forward to using her services in the future. -

We hired Sophie as our wedding planner and I cannot put into words how thankful we are to have had her on our big day. We hired her as our day of planner. We had no idea how we were going to get through our day without having someone set up decor, organize vendors as well as coordinate our ceremony. Not only did she help us with every single thing on our wedding day but she was there to support us in the months prior to. She answered questions about timing, scheduling, and small details we never would have thought of. We told Sophie how we wanted the ceremony done, how we wanted the decor placed as well as a ton of tiny details that were important to us. She made it all happen with ease and no stress on our part. She is incredible professional, down to earth, genuine, and caring. Everything on our wedding day was on time, on point, and extremely special for us. I cannot thank her enough and I would refer to any wedding couple anywhere. -

If you're looking for a coordinator look no further! I didn't even think I wanted a coordinator until half way through planning and boy oh boy was booking Sophie hands down the BEST choice I made related to our wedding! Our first meeting she told me "when you're working with somebody who loves what they do they will always go above and beyond your expectations". This could not have better applied to her! She was there for me constantly willing to plan, chat, and help out in any way she could. She is friendly, organized, and always on top of things. On my wedding day I didn't have to lift a single finger! I showed up and things were set up to perfection, she made sure that I got to eat a plate at my own wedding, she took care of all of my vendors so nobody was asking me questions on my special day, and I got to leave without sweating breakdown. This ended up making the world of a difference because I was able to just take in the day and enjoy every moment with my loved ones and husband. On a side note, as a person Sophie is hilarious and a total bundle of joy to work with. I cannot recommend her more, she will not disappoint you! Do yourselves a favor and book Sophie :) -

Absolutely Lovely!
My fiancé and I were having an extremely small and intimate ceremony prior to our big destination wedding and we reached out to Events by Sophie with just a few weeks notice and told her our vision. We were absolutely thrilled with what was able to be pulled together for our special day! We had no idea what we wanted we just knew we wanted it to be nice but Event by Sophie made it so much more. It was beautiful, elegant but still fun and truly a perfect representation of our relationship! -

I was a hands on DIY bride and Sophie was such a great collaborator in helping me bring my vision from inside my head to life. On the big day, I felt good handing over the reigns and letting her amaze me....ceremony backdrop, flower arrangements, tablescape...Sophie and her team got it all done while keeping the actual day going smooth and guests happy .
