I am extremely grateful for the opportunity to have worked with Shaun as my event planner for my daughter's party. He consistently went above and beyond to ensure that every aspect of the event was executed flawlessly. Our review also on the Knot if you see this more than once. Hiring Shaun Rajah as our wedding planner was, without question one of the best and most meaningful choices we made. From the very beginning, he understood the essence of what we wanted: elegance, personal and uniquely us. He elevated and delivered beyond anything we could imagine. He brought artistry and sophistication to every aspect of the planning process. The florals and decor were literally breathtaking and completely captured our aesthetic perfectly. His ability to match us with the right creative partners transcended into other aspects of our planning: stationary, DJ, makeup, personal assistants for the big day. This sets him apart from other wedding planners without question. Every person brought into our orbit was a perfect fit--talented, warm and totally aligned with our vision and energy. Beyond the beauty and logistics, what made Shaun so special was how much heart he poured into every part of our journey. He made us feel celebrated every step of the way. On our wedding day, we were able to be fully present, "relaxed," and joyful, knowing that Shaun was the maestro, orchestrating everything behind the scenes. If you’re looking for a wedding planner who will bring expertise, enthusiasm, and an incredible sense of style to your big day, look no further than Shaun! Shaun was absolutely instrumental in creating the wedding of our dreams in Chicago, and we can’t say enough about his dedication, skill, and genuine passion for what he does.
From day one, Shaun helped us choose top-quality, reliable vendors for every part of our wedding, and it was clear that his long-standing relationships with them made everything run smoothly. He even made a point to connect with the church’s wedding coordinator, whom he hadn’t met before, to ensure all aspects of the ceremony were flawless. Shaun attended our rehearsal too, ensuring every detail of the ceremony would be seamless on the day itself.
Shaun organized regular monthly meetings, keeping us on track every step of the way. His experience helped make decision-making easy—he seemed to have the perfect ideas and solutions for creating a beautiful, unique event that captured our style. He collaborated with local event production vendors to add creative touches and worked directly with the venue and catering team to make sure the decor, meal, and drinks were absolutely perfect. His impeccable taste and sense of style gave us complete confidence.
One of the highlights was that our venue was dog-friendly. Shaun went above and beyond to ensure our 18-year-old pup was comfortable and taken care of throughout the evening. It made our day even more special to be able to include her!
Shaun’s coordination on our wedding day was nothing short of incredible. His high energy and positive spirit made him such a joy to work with, but he also knew exactly how to run the show behind the scenes. Every detail, from the groomsmen’s boutonnières to the lighting in the bridal suite, was managed with care. He even arranged private snacks and drinks for us in the bridal suite right after the ceremony—a small touch that gave us a precious few moments to recharge before joining the reception.
His team handled transportation seamlessly, counting guests to make sure everyone had a seat and timing everything perfectly so that no one was left behind. Shaun’s meticulous timeline kept every part of the day moving smoothly, and his coordination with every vendor, from the church staff and priest to the event crew, was flawless. We didn’t have to worry about a single thing—Shaun and his team orchestrated every moment with grace and professionalism.
So many of our guests told us it was the most beautiful and fun wedding they’d ever attended, and we owe so much of that to Shaun’s incredible work.
Since Shaun is a master of all trades, he also planned, decorated, and coordinated our zebra-themed piano bar after party. We got a bit overwhelmed with all the options, but even then, Shaun was there to guide us through and went above and beyond to ensure every detail was perfect. This was in addition to planning the wedding itself!
Overall, if you’re looking for a planner who is both a master of logistics and a true artist in event design, Shaun is your person. He brought our vision to life and made our wedding day more than we ever could have dreamed. Thank you, Shaun! -

Father of the Bride
My daughter’s wedding was absolutely perfect. I was skeptical that we needed a wedding planner. Wow, was I wrong. Shaun and his team were such an incredible help with the planning stage, vendors to the full service the day of the wedding. We couldn’t have done it without Shaun. I enjoyed every minute of my daughter’s wedding. Highly recommended!!! -

I first met Shaun when he worked with my sister for her wedding day, and I knew that I had to book him for mine! Shaun has been in the industry for more than 20 years and it shows! His expertise and knowledge were invaluable for our wedding day. He listened intently to our concerns and questions, and he provided solutions promptly. He made time for us whenever we needed him and made us feel like VIP clients. I am very detail-oriented and it was a relief knowing that Shaun was the same. He exceeded my expectations! -

You can completely relax with Shaun.
Weddings are incredibly stressful and truly anything taking that stress off helps. Shaun and his team do exactly that. The day of I did not have one worry, everything was taken care of. The last 8 weeks leading up to our wedding, he truly helped me through the most stressful and thick of planning.

To put it simply, Shaun is the best when it comes to coordinating a wedding. I can confidently say that my wedding day was as spectacular as it was solely because of the incredible attention to detail, responsiveness, professionalism, ability to coordinate with vendors, and the tireless effort Shaun put into making my wife and I feel completely at ease throughout our whole planning process. Planning/coordinating a wedding is NOT an easy thing to do, but Shaun makes it seem like a walk in the park. He was always there for my wife and I to answer any and all of our questions, and he will always go to bat for you to ensure everything is to your liking. I cannot recommend this person enough and the value he brings to making your dream wedding become a reality. My wife and I chose the venue we did because of how much we liked Shaun, and he not only delivered for us... he far exceeded our expectations! There always seems to be some major hitch in every wedding, but we were able to get by unscathed simply because Shaun knows how to get the job done. My wife and I were able to enjoy our wedding day in all of its magic because we knew we were in the best hands. If you want the best wedding planner in Chicago, go with Shaun Rajah! I promise you will not regret it, and it will be one of the best decisions/investments you can make for your special day! -

First-class experience working with Shaun from start to finish.
He is a pro’s pro and made every step of our wedding planning process at the Langham easy, fun, and transparent.
His wisdom, experience, guidance, attention to detail, and communication skills (in person, online, with us + vendors and family members was all impeccable. He went so far to note how my mother in law prefers her steak for our TASTING day. This is just one of many small and large anecdotes that makes Shaun, Shaun.
We truly cannot imagine having worked with anyone else for our special day.

I’d Trust Shaun with My Life!!!
Not only is Shaun extremely professional, organized, and experienced, he is one of the kindest, most personable people I’ve met! He truly went above and beyond for my husband and I, as well as our families. There was never a time of concern on my big day because I knew Shaun prepared us and if anything did happen to come up, I fully trusted Shaun to handle whatever decision needed to be made with our best interest in mind!
From the amazing communication on day 1, to all of the special touches in between leading up to the big day, Shaun made us feel like we were his only wedding, and always gave us his undivided attention. Shaun Rajah is the perfect planner. My husband and I worked with him for our wedding at the Langham and couldn't have been happier with his level of expertise and attentiveness to our needs as the bride and groom. Shaun is a true expert and I couldn't recommend someone more.
My advice to brides/grooms is to make sure you meticulously pick planners and vendors. We got so lucky Shaun was working at the Langham - he was a pure joy and so helpful - and he directed us to other amazing vendors/partners, who also ended up making the experience so much better for us. I trusted every one of his recommendations (he also has amazing design instincts - really invaluable) and the whole wedding planning process was 10000x better with Shaun guiding us through. -

Shaun has got it all. He’s professional, efficient, and extremely easy to work with. He can solve a problem, manifest anything you could possibly want on your wedding day, and with his vast experience he has foresight into any issues you may run into. My wedding truly would not have lived up to its potential without him. -
