Hire Satra, you wont regret it!

I don't know how I ever would have made it through my wedding without Satra. The only regret that I have is not hiring her at the start of my wedding planning, instead of the month of. I was having a hard time planning my wedding during the pandemic and decided to hire a Month Of Planner that I found out from my amazing photographer, Amanda Wei. As soon as we hired Satra, I immediately felt less stressed going into the month of my wedding. On the day of my wedding, she kept everything running smoothly and I had nothing to worry about because I knew she was on top of it. She's incredibly organized, calming, professional and a pleasure to be around. Even my friends told me how much they loved having her around the day of my wedding.

The best decision to hire Satra!

We hired Satra for her month-of-wedding planning services for our July 2021 wedding, and we could not be happier that we did! Satra was absolutely wonderful to work with - incredibly organized, friendly, and kind! She made our wedding day go so smoothly, and I felt so much calmer knowing that Satra was there to make sure each and every detail was taken care of. Our wedding came together so nicely, and I am grateful to Satra for helping to make that happen. Satra's recommendations for other vendors for our wedding were also very helpful, and so many of our vendors shared how much they love working with Satra. Best of the best!

Satra was a dream to work with!! We hired her as our month-of planner, though she also helped us with adhoc projects like booking hotel blocks. She was incredibly responsive, kind, and organized throughout the entire process. Our entire family & bridal parties made a point to mention to us how helpful and amazing she was to them on the rehearsal and day of, too, which really speaks volumes to the positive impression she made across our group of 15+. My husband and I joke that if we were to ever re-marry, we'd want to work with Satra again :). Jokes aside, Satra is top notch and anyone considering in the Bay Area should 100% work with her.

Couldn't have done it without Satra!

We had are wedding at Villa Montalvo in June 2021. When we booked the venue the venue's first and strongest vendor recommendation was to hire Events by Satra for planning. It was by far the best decision we made! Our wedding day was truly the best day of our lives, everything went so smoothly and turned out so beautifully! From our first call, I felt calmer! Satra helped us pick out all of our other vendors and every recommendation she gave was perfect. Particularly on things we didn't have strong opinions about like flowers and the DJ and those were some of the best parts of the day! We booked our date and started planning before the pandemic hit and were able to keep the original date with the original guest count for which we were incredibly lucky. We still had a lot of stress with the uncertainty with the pandemic. Satra was so calming and went above and beyond. She researched on-site Covid testing vendors and coordinated with the DJ to do virtual streaming of our ceremony. I also didn't have a ton of opinions about the details and I knew I could trust her opinions like the linens (she matched my bridesmaids perfectly!). She also had a great eye for the things that are worth doing like the lounge furniture (which looked amazing and the guests loved!) versus the things that no one notices (like a photo gallery in the library that most people wouldn't see). If you are on the fence at all, I'm telling you it's worth it!

Satra is worth every penny!

We hired Satra for Month of Wedding Planning services. We actually hired her in 2018 for our 2020 wedding, and she stuck with us through multiple postponements during COVID. She was super flexible and understanding through it all and easy to coordinate with. Once we finally got to the “month of” the wedding, she jumped in right away. She’s very organized and such a pro - she helped us work through things we hadn’t even considered. The day of the wedding was so stress free. Satra handled everything and we were never aware of anything going on behind the scenes. She went above and beyond with our family drama, purposely keeping certain people separated without making it obvious to everyone else. All of our vendors commented on how great she was to work with. We can’t thank her enough and will continue to recommend her to everyone we know!

If you don't want to stress, hire Satra NOW

I found Satra after extensively searching the internet (like all brides do) for a wedding planner. I wanted someone who had experience with Indian weddings and knew great contacts in the Bay Area. Satra hit both of those marks for us right away. She also has a great sense of humor, which is always a plus. We are like many Indian couples in the pandemic, throwing caution to the wind and uniting ourselves in marriage without worrying about what the 500 angry aunties and uncles will do because they're not invited.

We decided to do a 30 person micro-wedding, and Satra truly made it look and feel like a grand, large wedding. She went to work right away; we gave her only 6 weeks to put the whole thing together! She always gave us options for pricing and vendors and really cared that we were satisfied with all decisions as we went along. She also was so meticulous with tracking and following up with all the vendors, and really just making sure I didn't have to worry about a single detail. I was also very hands off - I know to let the professionals do what they are hired to do. I gave her my Pinterest inspo and have to say that the outcome looked better than my board ever could.

Enough raving about Satra, you will find many reviews exactly like mine saying you should hire her -- and they are exactly right. If you want to worry about every single detail and not sleep during the planning, do it yourself. If you want to have a beautifully designed wedding that requires minimal effort on your part, hire Satra.

Cannot recommend highly enough

We cannot thank Satra and her team enough for all of their help, support, and encouragement throughout the wedding planning process and on the wedding day itself. We held a ~300 person Indian wedding, and Satra went above and beyond in helping us plan it. She translated our vision into an event that was even more magnificent than we could have ever imagined. In every decision that we made, Satra laid out the options and helped us think through where to spend money in a way that would be the most impactful and aligned with our goals. She not only guided us through the process and made sure that we were on track, but also handled our unique circumstances (needing to find Indian/ethnic decor, wrangling parental involvement in decisions) with poise.

Throughout the planning process, Satra was extremely responsive, on top of the details, and had always thought through everything. She kept track of multiple different vendors for us, and went the extra mile to coordinate with those who were less responsive. Satra truly cared about making our big day special, and her professionalism shone the entire time.

The day went extremely smoothly despite several last-minute changes to account for rainy weather, and we even received a lot of compliments about how the event ran like clockwork. Most importantly, we had a wonderful time, especially because Satra reminded us to take it all in and enjoy the moment, and she handled various family members and vendors so that we didn’t have to think about them. We couldn't have done this without Satra and we are so glad that she was part of our big day! We cannot recommend her enough.

Satra make our wedding Seamless

From the beginning stages of planning to the day, I knew we were in good hands with Satra. She anticipated every detail of our day, including: minute by minute timeline, exact seating charts, layout of the rooms, recommendations for vendors, best locations for signage and coordination with other vendors. On the day of the wedding, she came to check in on me & my groom before all the events. She kept us on timeline, all with such positivity and calmness. Another Very special thing she did for me was to join me in my final dress fitting Because my family lives on the east coast. This was so thoughtful & very appreciated! She is truly the best & would want to have her presence at any event!

Satra handled EVERYTHING so that we could enjoy our amazing day.

Satra was an INCREDIBLE coordinator for our wedding. We hired her not just for day-of, but for month-of, which was awesome. In our kickoff meeting with her (she had done a ton of weddings at our venue and also knew almost all of our vendors), we talked about my vision for the wedding, she asked us for all our vendor info, we agreed on a timeline, and after that... BLISS. We didn't have to do ANYTHING. I remember so clearly the moment at our kickoff meeting when Satra smiled, looked me in the eyes and said, "You don't need to be taking notes on any of this - I'm going to handle all of it." After a year and a half of wedding planning, sweeter words could not have been spoken to me. And she was right - she handled all of it. In the weeks leading up to the wedding, if my stepmom or my fiance's mom or a vendor or the venue or anyone else had questions or concerns, I said, "Talk to Satra!" There were a ton of email threads between Satra and our family members, vendors, etc. that I didn't even read, because I didn't need to. At the rehearsal and on the wedding day, nobody from our families or the wedding party asked me anything about where to be or when to go there or what to do, because Satra had already prepped them.

I should also point out that we had an Indian fusion wedding, which was... complicated. Lots of moving parts. Satra dealt with all of it.

It seems like a small thing, but one of my biggest concerns leading up to the wedding was that my walk down the aisle would be timed appropriately. The song I'd chosen needed to play for all nine of my bridesmaids and also for my dad and I during the processional, and there was a specific moment in the song that I wanted to match up with the moment my dad and I appeared walked down the aisle. I was terrified that the bridesmaids wouldn't be paced appropriately
and that specific part of the song would happen before my dad and I started walking down the aisle, or that the song would end before my dad and I reached the altar. I had a mild freak-out moment when the bridesmaids were walking down the aisle and asked Satra if everything was timed correctly, and she showed me her phone - she'd created a countdown timer that was perfectly configured to the timing I'd requested. Everything went perfectly.

I should stop rambling, but I'd like to make one final point - Satra has the calmest, most soothing energy. She is the perfect antidote to wedding anxiety. She tells you she'll handle it, and she absolutely will. If my wedding was like every other wedding in the history of weddings, I'm pretty sure there were like a million little crises that happened, but I did not and will never know about them, because Satra was there to handle everything.

Satra was an absolute dream to work with! When we met again about a month before my wedding I had told Satra I had gotten a large job promotion, was commuting from Walnut Creek to Burlingame and had multiple emails and calls to take daily. I asked that if anything was majorly important to of course include me but try and handle as much communication between my vendors as possible since I was drowning in emails already. She over performed and did an outstanding job! I was never worried or felt like I wasn't in the loop, thankfully my mom helped step in for me and worked with Satra on some communication and details but Satra made everything so easy. Confirming meetings with my venue, set up times with vendors and detail changes that honestly I would have forgotten to do. On our wedding day she was such a calming force that made me and my entire wedding party/family at ease. She truly made sure my husband and I were taken care of on our wedding day, speciality cocktails in hand and appetizers waiting for us while we took more pictures after the ceremony. I felt like I didn't have to think about anything because Satra was already on top of it. She communicated with all of my vendors and we had no issues with anything that day. Satra is basically the greatest! I was initially a little scared to get a wedding planner because I'm pretty laid back and didn't want to feel stressed out about every detail/etc - and Satra was clearly the greatest choice. She is so relaxed and fun that everything seemed so easy. She totally understood our desire to keep things chill and easy. Satra handled so many of the small details and vendor coordination. She was excellent in coming up with fun ideas that fit our vibe. On the big day everything went so smoothly and basically the whole day was just fun. I would recommend Satra 110%! She is professional and most importantly friendly and kind, which made her a joy to work with. Thanks for everything!!!

I love Satra! She did the most tremendous job planning my wedding from start to finish. Not only was the wedding itself dreamy and a total blast, but the work she did leading up to the big day made the process of planning a wedding absolutely pleasurable and worry free!

She had a calm and meticulous demeanor that made her easy to trust with all of the details. She was also great to collaborate with because she responded quickly and thoroughly to my many, many emails.

She has great design taste, and makes sure to highlight the bride and groom's tastes and personalities. For instance, my groom requested a "gansta" wedding cake, so Satra set us up with the most "gansta" bakery in SF! She was consistently spot on with her recommendations of vendors. I didn't feel the need to shop around. I almost always went with Satra's first pick for our taste and budget.

I highly recommend enlisting Satra's help if you are planning a wedding in the bay area!

What can I say? 100% and 5/5. Our wedding day was absolutely perfect!!! And it was all due to Satra and her team! Thank you so much, Satra - I can't thank you enough! She made everything come together so perfectly and kept us to our timeline (at a venue where we were using all the indoor rooms and outdoor spaces, with about 300 guests). There was a lot of (intentional) movement of the different phases of our wedding day/reception, and Satra executed perfectly! I booked Satra for her month-of and day-of package. She was helpful in recommending any vendors I was considering, but I started working with Satra from the point of our venue walk-through (about 1.5 months before the wedding). She used Google Sheets/Drive with us which made everything so easy to keep track of and organized. In the months and weeks leading up to the wedding, Satra was so helpful in vendor communication and all the little details I would have never thought of. She is SO organized (and as someone who really appreciates organization) Satra is unbelievable. Honestly, she made the few weeks leading up to the wedding so much less stressful! And for the wedding day, she made it stress-free! We had so much family around for our pre-ceremony photos, getting-ready, etc. and she was beyond wonderful in communicating with everyone (guests, family, and vendors) on the day-of. I did not have to worry about a thing! Satra is so calm (she has such a wonderful presence) and she handled every situation impeccably. Her suggestions and solutions (even in the last minute) were perfect. Satra has fantastic relations with vendors - which I will tell you as a bride makes ALL the difference in the world! And that excellent vendor relationship she has with others really showed in the weeks leading up to the wedding and on the wedding day as EVERYTHING went so perfectly (and stuck with the timeline!) Seriously Satra, I could go on and on about ya - lol!

We had the pleasure of working with Satra as our month of coordinator. I can honestly say, as soon as month of hit, she took over everything. She handled all of the coordinating with vendors, which allowed us to finish the other personal details we were making ourselves. Satra was extremely organized, responsive and just so much fun to work with. I was unbelievably comfortable putting over my year's worth of planning in her very capable hands. Satra was amazing to work with. We got married at the Outdoor Art Club in Mill Valley late April 2015 and needed someone to help coordinate the day of happenings. Satra was fantastic to work with, very easy going but organized and on top of her tasks. When we were looking for a wedding coordinator we did not want someone overwhelming or too intense. In that regard, Satra was great to be around and her presence was calming. Before the big day, I found that she was helpful when we couldn't make a decision without being over bearing. On the big day, I appreciated that she blended right in with the wedding party and guests even as she worked and kept things moving. I feel incredibly lucky that I came across Events By Satra, and booked them to do my wedding planning. We booked Satra for partial planning, and had the pleasure of working with her almost the entire year before my wedding. She gave fantastic vendor recommendations and is incredibly organized. She handled the often tumultuous relationship between me and my mother with grace and ease and made the wedding planning experience more enjoyable for both of us. There were a couple stressful situations with vendors that Satra helped straighten out perfectly, so that everyone involved was happy. The whole day flowed incredibly smoothly all thanks to Satra. Satra came extremely highly recommended from a friend who also worked with her on her wedding, and we could not feel luckier to have found her! From the start, Satra was warm, responsive, and incredibly organized, which made us feel very at-ease. She knew all the right questions to ask to craft a wedding day that was exactly what we wanted, and was a wealth of creative solutions for all parts of our wedding, from ideas about décor to options for the flow of events. Her demeanor is the perfect mix of friendly calm and razor-sharp, detail-oriented precision, which is exactly what every bride needs. I seriously was able to shut my brain off and enjoy myself knowing that she was keeping everything moving along smoothly. She also was great at looking out for us and making sure we were getting the most out of our day. For example, at one point during the reception when I was taking a while fixing myself up in the powder room with some bridesmaids, she came to check on us in the sweetest, most unobtrusive way, saying "Just trying to maximize your time." We decided we needed a wedding coordinator rather close to the wedding. My mom and I both did frantic interviews at the last minute, as we were worried we started too late. After several days of phone interviews, my mom called me and told me that it was a done deal…we were hiring Satra. How lucky we got. When I met Satra I was blown away to her warmth, professionalism, and attention to detail. I was overly stressed at this point in the wedding planning, and she came along and made my life calm again. I had regular e-mails from her giving timelines and very specific questions (that only the bride could answer). She coordinated all our vendors and made what felt like a tornado, a very beautiful ballet. When the wedding day came, I didn't have a doubt in my mind it wouldn't be perfect. Satra took care of everything. She made my vision a reality, made sure I was calm and accommodated all day, and really just gave me the wedding of my dreams. What I loved most about Satra is that she is very professional and all business, but has a very warm and caring demeanor. I wish we had hired her earlier in the process. I highly recommend Satra. You will have the wedding of your dreams, with very little stress.

Satra is amazing. She is calm, extremely organized, has great style and is so fun to work with! I had no worries on my wedding day thanks to her. She seamlessly dealt with all my vendors, family members and guests with such a pleasant, laid back and fun attitude. Even when the wind blew my veil, my nieces dress and her phone into a fish pond she was calm, collected, and proceeded with our day like nothing had happened. I seriously think I was more concerned than she was (or at least showed)! She is a complete professional that makes it all happen. Although I only booked her for day/month of coordinating she brought a lot of fun ideas to the table and really helped pull all my planning together in a cohesive manner. When thinking over all my vendors I feel I got the most bang for my buck with her services and would love to work with her again. Brides- do not think, just book her and you will make your life so much easier and your wedding will be that much better!

I hired Satra for month of planning for our wedding a few months ago, and could not have been happier. She reached out well before the 30-day countdown began to set up some time to meet in person, as well as make sure that I was on track with all that I needed to plan. She handled all of the communication with each of my vendors the month leading up to our wedding as well as suggested some creative ideas. Day of she was incredible -- she ensured that the timeline went to plan and that each transition flowed smoothly. I didn't have to worry about any of the details I had planned because she was already on top of them (from the table settings to table clothes to decor -- she had it all taken care of).

I admired her planning, organization, negotiation, follow up and execution skills. She worked closely with me and my daughter to understand our dream and turned it into a reality. If you are looking to enjoy your wedding without having to worry about a thing, Satra is your planner. The only thing I had to think about was whether I wanted champagne or a signature cocktail; before I could decide Satra had both waiting for not only me but my entire party, the entire night. Satra took care of the planning, the set up, and the clean up. All I had to do was show up and go home. She truly made my day flawless. Not only is she on top of everything, she is very professional and extremely personable! My vendors raved about her performance- We loved her!

Satra was the month-of coordinator for our San Francisco wedding and we could not have been happier with her services. Going into the planning process, we weren't sure we wanted to hire a coordinator as most of our friends hadn't gone that route, but we also wanted to make sure our families could relax and enjoy the event, and looking back, I can definitely say we made the right decision.

As soon as the month before our wedding began, Satra took over our vendor communication. She asked for very little of us during this month while handling all the vendor timing and coordination specifics in the background, only really contacting us with helpful suggestions we may want to take into account for the flow of our day. This in itself was a huge help and early on, our other vendors appreciated her professionalism.

On the day of, there were multiple mishaps with vendors being late because of unusual traffic, and she handled it all so calmly and smoothly - I didn't even find out about it until the day after! My mom too, who normally would have been stressing out immensely with such delays, really appreciated having Satra's calming presence and emphasized how great a job she did that day of managing everything that came up. Overall, hiring Satra was one of the best decisions we could've made - she really made the whole event and everything going into it more pleasant for everyone involved.

She's calm, has everything under control, and is always cheerful and fun to have around. She's also super organized with spreadsheets and google docs, which I loved! She's got great taste, and she's great at working with all the other vendors. All of our other vendors loved her too!

Satra was such an essential help to our wedding planning. We booked her for day of services but received so much more. She met with us multiple times and went through creative ways to make our multicultural wedding meaningful. If I ever had any questions or having issues with a vendor she was wonderful at stepping in and making sure we were all set. The day of went smoothly and I never once felt worried about how the venue would look. She did every detail to what I wanted and even had some decorative items that added to the decor.

We got married in May 2014 at The Ranch Golf Club in San Jose. Satra was our day of (and then some) planner, and in short did a fantastic job! We planned much of our wedding ourselves, but on the big day, it was so important to me that my now husband, our families, and our friends could focus on celebrating without worrying about the day proceeding smoothly. Satra put my mind at ease before, during, and after the wedding. At our pre-wedding meeting we found out that the on site event planner would not be there the day of our wedding. I was a little upset, but because Satra knew everyone at our venue, and sat through the review of details with me, my mind was put at ease. On the day of, Satra made sure everything looked beautiful and flowed smoothly. Satra is calm, organized, and firm without being overbearing. I highly recommend her, and Events by Satra.

We hired Satra for month-of coordination for our wedding. From our very first meeting, we knew that we were in great hands! Satra is professional, organized, easy to work with, and such a sweetheart. No detail was overlooked and she was always incredibly responsive to my many questions. The events manager at our venue was a bit difficult to work with at times, but she was persistent with him and made sure that we had our dream wedding. Satra, was a truly an unexpected gift to us! We hired Satra without meeting her face to face (as were were planning our wedding from across the world). She is the consummate professional and worked extremely hard to make our wedding perfect. This is not easy as she was planning for an American General Manager running a luxury hotel and a Japanese designer who has perfection in his veins! Satra quickly grasped our vision, provided amazing selections for us to choose from and handled the few minor challenges along the way with ease and grace. After rating her a five above my only regret is that the system does not allow us to rate her a 10! Whether you will plan everything from thousands of miles away and show up expecting everything to be perfect on your special day or are in the bay area and can work closely with Satra we assure you there is no better wedding planner to work with! Satra is AMAZING - she made our entire wedding happen. Where do I ever start about how incredible she is. Below are highlights:
- From the very first time we reached out, Satra was incredibly responsive and professional. Although we met in person and spoke on the phone before our wedding, we primarily used email to communicate throughout the planning process. I have never met anyone with faster response time than Satra. She would often reply in less than 20 minutes with detailed responses to all of my questions or thoughts.
- She helped us find remaining vendors that fit our image and price point. We found our amazing florist through her and we used the rental company she often partners with, which gave meant we got an incredible discount.
- She was a decor goddess! She helped us design a beautiful vision and make hard decisions about color, centerpieces, flower, ceremony order, etc.
- She is unbelievably organized. From her detailed vendor list to minute-by-minute timelines, I always felt like she was on top of things. She would often email me about little things I'd never thought of and it meant that on the day of, all little details were covered.
-In the days leading up to the wedding and especially on the day of, I wasn't worried about ANYTHING. Satra ran a smooth rehearsal, coordinated details with all vendors, and made sure we stuck to the timeline. They always say something has to go wrong on your wedding day. While that might be true, if it is, I didn't know about it because Satra had it covered.
- She is a simple joy to work with. She's sweet and kind, but knows how to take charge when needed.
We would recommend her to anyone who wants to be stress-free on their wedding day.

It is hard to put into words how wonderful it was to work with Satra. Her attention to detail, and thoroughness are second to none. She is calm and carries a peacefulness that is very welcomed during the chaos that can ensue on your big day. I really appreciated how helpful she was in letting me be VERY involved in all aspects of the planning, yet kept us prepared and focused on the most pressing tasks. Her enthusiasm, experience and complete preparedness combine to create an unstoppable combination- if I could think it up- she could help me execute it. All of the recommendations she provided were outstanding. Our wedding day was a HUGE success due to the incredible team of professionals we had- all of which can recommended by Satra. (and also were all recommended in the budget which we created with Satra)
Aside from her enormous talents, she is a wonderful person at her core. I always enjoyed meeting up with her and consider her a friend.
I cannot recommend her highly enough for anyone who is like me- completely type A and overly excited (but completely clueless) about planning a wedding.

My husband and I are so happy that we had Satra's help with our wedding. She was a joy to work with, and we cannot recommend her highly enough. Perhaps the best decision we made in all our wedding planning was to hire Satra. Knowing that she had things in hand gave us peace of mind, which was priceless.

She promptly and sweetly answered every planning and etiquette question in the months leading up to the event. When the big weekend arrived, her direction for the rehearsal and day-of coordination were absolutely indispensable (especially given that getting our families in order is like herding cats). Always kind and smiling, her presence was calm and positive and unruffled. Everyone loved her, and she was just what we needed for what could have been a very stressful day. As it was, after handing the final details over to Satra at the rehearsal, I was more relaxed than I'd been throughout all the wedding planning and was able to fully enjoy the rehearsal dinner and the entire wedding day. I even slept easily the night before the wedding, which was completely miraculous. Amazingly, there were no last minute crises, no unhappy drama - all went off without a hitch - and we had the most wonderful weekend.

Satra was an incredible asset. We couldn't have done it without her.

Satra was more than we could have ever hoped for in a wedding planner. We originally enlisted her help as our "Month of Coordinator" but she was beyond flexible and understanding in offering us the support and guidance we needed outside of those four week parameters. We had Satra for month-of coordination for our July 6th wedding. She was great! In a sea of stresses and miscommunication from our venue staff, Satra was a calming force for me. I completely trusted her judgement and attention to detail. She was also extremely calm, professional, and genuinely nice. She presented new ideas without being forceful. During our rehearsal and wedding days, she kept everyone on time. She has what I like to call "silent authority" - she knows how to get things done, but in a calm and non-bossy way. Even though Satra was planning many different weddings around our date, she never dropped the ball and paid attention to all the details. She was also really responsive to emails. Even if she couldn't provide an answer right away, she always emailed back immediately and said when she could get back to me. I would definitely recommend Satra!

Describing the value of Satra's services in words is not an easy task. While it is easy to identify when and how she was dependable, responsive, professional, valuable, and flexible it is difficult to actually explain the feeling of calm she gave me with every meeting, correspondence, and of course, the day of.

We hired her as a part time planner, but i'm not quite sure what her full time planning looks like, as she was always quick to respond to emails and offer advice. It felt like she got to know us quickly, as her advice was always spot on and delivered with kindness and confidence. I trusted her and her recommendations with vendors proved that she was trustworthy. What I found to be most telling was her reputation with the vendors we talked with, even the ones she did not recommend. They enjoyed working with her and it was obvious they respected her input. The caterer voiced it perfectly when he said something like, she knows when to but in and when to step away.

The day of the wedding went smoothly, and without any hiccups. If there were problems, we were completely oblivious to them. Satra was always there to make sure we were fed, drinks were in hand, and we were enjoying ourselves. She dealt with everyone with a smile on her face and an air of calm that was contagious. Looking back, I am thankful she was there not just because she is organized and her timelines calmed my mother down, but because I truly felt that she was on my side, and that my wedding was the only thing on her mind.

When the wedding came to an end, I was amazed at how comfortable I was with her. I had this overwhelming feeling of contentment knowing that my wedding planner was not just a wedding planner, but someone I actually enjoyed spending time with. I have told many people that while picking my now husband was the best decision I've ever made, picking Satra was a close second.

Satra was our wedding coordinator for our Sonoma September 2013 wedding. She did an absolutely flawless job keeping all event logistics and vendors in order, along with conducting our rehearsal, all day of wedding set-up in addition to my last minute freak out regarding our seating chart - which she solved in an instant. Satra is the one vendor from our wedding that we would 100% re-hire without any hesitation. She is a seasoned professional who has a very calm demeanor, which is exactly what ever bride needs on her wedding day. I felt that her fees were very fair and competitive from the other referrals I contacted. Satra responded to all my e-mails & calls within a very short timeframe. Satra is unbelievably sweet and professional. I really could have not enjoyed my daughter's wedding without her being there. Everything went smooth and perfect she was literarily my eyes and heart in the wedding, she would do things that wasn't even required from her and had I had the time I would have done it the way she did, it was really amazing. She has class and I saw that from the very beginning in her so I trusted her completely and I was actually relaxed as soon as she came in the picture. She is very reasonable and worth 100X more, you really can not put a price figure on the peace of mind. I would recommend her and use her again and again in every big occasion I plan in the future.

I am writing this review from the groom's point of view. Most wedding planners (and vendors in general) cater to the bride, and rightfully so. But I have to say that it was such a pleasure working with Satra not just because she did an incredible job in helping guide our wedding, but also because she kept both my wife and me in the loop on everything and was very inclusive. She took charge with many aspects of the planning but always seemed to know when to check in with us.

We met Satra through my wife's brother's wedding (which we were a part of) and the way she ran the show with her calm but attentive demeanor made us realize right away that we wanted to work with her too! She is extremely organized and had excellent ideas as well as recommendations for vendors. She managed a lot of the moving parts and was invaluable leading up to our big day. And on our big day, she went above and beyond on everything: attending to every detail, coordinating our vendors, directing our wedding party, etc. And we saw her calm demeanor once again, making sure that everything went off without a hitch. Her assistant Demetria was amazing too, great attention to detail! I remember in particular how she meticulously arranged our place cards in a nice pattern and made sure our ballroom looked great.

Satra is AMAZING!

We contracted Satra to be our Day Of Coordinator for a wedding of 325 people, and were so happy we did. Our wedding was beautiful and we couldn't have done it without her. She contacted all of our vendors to confirm their arrival, was able to take over the day of with very little guidance, made sure all of our vendors were fed, double checked our timeline to see if it would work, and she set up the reception beautifully.

She is also very responsible and on top of her game. We really appreciated that she accommodated our venue changed, and increase in guestlist! We originally had about 250 guests, and somehow along the way, it went up to 325. Satra gracefully accepted it and worked with us.

There were a couple of hiccups during the wedding that were out of our control (a major one was guests arriving an hour late due to traffic). Satra was quick on her feet and made the wedding timeline work. None of the guests knew that we were forced to delay the wedding. We also caught up with everything and the rest is history.

I would recommend every bride to have a day of coordinator. The good thing about our DOC, Satra, is that she was able to work with all of our vendors. She is efficient, organized, responsive, and well connected. We found some of our other vendors through her, and it's a plus that she's worked with several of them before. Things were so much more smooth that way. For all the reasons above, we loved working with her and would totally do it again for any future events, like vowel renewals maybe??

Satra Zarghami became our lead and day of coordinator two weeks before our wedding, because our original coordinator took a new position. Normally this could send a type A minus and type b plus bride and groom into minor freak out mode, but Satra transitioned so seamlessly that it was as if she was on board the whole time.

Of course she is organized, responsive (almost instantaneously), collected, attentive, and available. Those are givens. But do not be fooled by her quiet calmness and cool demeanor, this girl is on it!! We had a few minor delays and setbacks, including running behind, and she kept going unphased and even brought us back up to schedule by the cocktail hour. When our shuttle driver got lost with 30 of our earlier guests, she fixed its without my groom and I even having a chance to worry. We were able to enjoy our day, be with our family and friends, and all the details that could have dampened the joy (loading cars at the end of the evening, setting up, locating people, handling payments for example) she handled without batting and eye.

And our guests couldn't stop saying what a perfect wedding its was! they claimed nothing went wrong! It was a well oiled machine. :)

Words cannot express how thankful I am for Satra the day of my wedding. She truly helped throughout the whole planning process. I was a very indecisive bride and she was able to help with every aspect!

Her calm demeanor and professionalism is really helpful as things start to get stressful. Satra also returns calls right away, answers emails, and makes sure you're getting things done in a timely manner. Procrastinating was very easy for me when it came to my planning. My husband and I had the pleasure of working with Satra for part of our wedding planning. She is awesome and truly cares about each couple she works with. Satra was always my "go-to" when I needed advice on anything from invitations to just checking in and making sure I was doing okay. Satra helped make an extremely detailed and personalized checklist for my husband and I to remind us and keep us on track of what needed to be done with wedding planning.
I think what makes working with Satra so enjoyable is her sweet and calm personality. She makes any bride feel assured that the wedding day will go smoothly and is able to work well with so many vendors.
Satra is also extremely professional and is very prompt at responding to emails and phone calls. I highly recommend Satra!!

It's been about a year since I got married on May 15, 2010, and thought I'd say hello and thank you to the vendors I worked with during the wedding planning stage and the day of. I've come to find that Satra now owns her own wedding and event planning business.

Despite my review of Satra coming in a year after our wedding, I thought I'd take the time to write because really she took on a very important role planning and managing the day of the wedding. My wife and I worked with her during her time at The Ranch Golf Club in San Jose, CA. While we thought the Ranch Golf Club was great in every way, the real gem of the place, however, was its wedding coordinator- Satra. Throughout the entire process she was very helpful, thoughtful, responsive, professional, and provided invited input and feedback.

Satra made us feel very comfortable, took the time to listen, and was pleasant to speak with while at the same time was not afraid to give her feedback that would benefit us best. She did not overwhelm us with too many questions all at once, but at the same time she followed up with us when necessary and made sure the small details were taken care of. During the day of the wedding, she was on point with everything, from preparing the reception to coordinating with our other vendors (DJ/MC, guitarist, photog/cinematographers, as well as the staff at the Ranch GC). Her combined personality and skills highlights her professionalism and knowledge of planning and coordinating successful weddings.

Perhaps I could be biased, given that I'm the groom of our own wedding, in saying that our wedding was successful, memorable and just plain tons of fun. But if I can make a point to brides (and grooms!) out there that are venturing the wedding planning stage, to consider Satra as their wedding planner and coordinator. It truly is a very critical role that should not be overlooked in a once in a lifetime event.

The first time I met with Satra regarding my big day, we immediately connected. She made me feel extremely comfortable and relaxed. When I had questions, she always responded right away and provided different options for my needs based on my budget. During the rehearsal, I was able to leave my table numbers, menus and favors at the location so that I did not have to haul them around on my big day. When I arrived at the location on the big day, I was surprised to see that the reception was completely set up by Satra. I had no idea that she was going to set up everything for us. She definitely went above and beyond. Throughout the entire reception, she always came by to check up on my husband and I. She wanted to make sure we had everything we needed and that the night was going according to plan.
I cannot say enough amazing things about Satra. All brides worry about everything that could go wrong on your wedding day but with Satra helping me, I knew that everything was going to be fine. I would highly recommend her to anyone looking for a coordinator.

Satra was everything we could ask for in helping us put together our wedding at The Ranch Golf Club. She was very accomodating to all our requests and quick to respond to all our emails and questions. She's very professional but knows when to just give friendly suggestions. Making her your wedding planner is one item to check off your checklist and won't have to worry about.

My wedding day was perfect and I honestly feel Satra was a big reason for that. She was such a helpful and responsive wedding coordinator. I think much of the reason I was not stressed during the planning or on my big day was because I knew my husband and I were in capable hands with Satra. She was quick to respond to my emails and (several) changes and constantly reassured me during the rehearsal and wedding when we were off schedule. She is overall just a great person to work with and I highly recommend her!

Satra was our event planner for our wedding/reception at the Ranch Golf Club. She was amazing! We could always count on her to follow through with our requests and worked with us when we had concerns. We had an Indian wedding which is not usual for the venue so there were things that had to be tweaked around and she definitely helped us each step of the way. The only complaints I had regarding my wedding were issues not in her control and she was understanding when we told her later on. I would recommend Satra for any event planning needs as she will take the stress away from you so you can enjoy as much as possible! Thank you Satra :)

Satra is ... AMAZING!!!!!!! This is one of the hardest reviews I've had to write --- only because there are sooooooo many FANTASTIC things I want to share about Satra. She was my guardian angel who kept me from going insane throughout the whole crazy wedding planning process. On our wedding day, she made my vision come to life!!! From the guest tables to the sweetheart table, and even the cake and place card tables, Satra captured and displayed every little detail I had asked for and more. I was able to actually enjoy my wedding because I knew everything would be handled perfectly. She is sweet, patient, knowledgeable, organized, creative, professional, great listener, and has impeccable taste. She is super flexible, accommodating and always surprised me at how she went above and beyond my needs. No matter how busy she is, Satra will make the time just for you because she not only wants to get the job done right but she wants to get to know you so that she knew what type of wedding you're trying to pull off. She will answer all your phone calls & emails right away with a cheerful tone and makes you feel like she was waiting for you to call or write.

With all that said, she carries ALL the qualities of an excellent coordinator. Every time I hear someone is engaged, she'll be the first person I would recommended. I can't stress enough, how Satra is indeed THE BEST wedding investment any bride & groom could make. Thanks again for making our special day so amazing!!! Wow where do I start. Satra was such a pleasure to work with. Our wedding was in March of 2010. We planned our wedding in less than 6 months. After I chose my venue Satra stepped up to the plate and was ready to help us. She was thurough, diligent, patient, warm, caring, friendly, accountable, organzied and just over all wonderful. She really cared about what I wanted and my visions. She had great ideas! I needed a cake stand but didn't want to spend hundreds of dollars for my itty bitty cake. She came up with an awesome idea that elevated my cake to make it look huge on a small table. I won't give away her secret but let's just say I didn't spend any money on my cake stand!!!! She also had great rapport with all my hired wedding vendors. She walked us through the rehearsals and was so patient with us. She had it down to a science!! The big day was the most nerve racking for me, but she was on top of everything! I honestly didn't have to ask for anything she had it all timed out, she kept the vendors on time as well. She made all of us feel comfortable and at ease. I really had fun at my wedding because the stress was not a factor. I wish I could do it all again because I really did enjoy my wedding day to the fullest. Words can't express how grateful I am that Satra was there to help us from beginning to end. Book her with confidence!

Satra is amazing at what she does. My (now) wife and I hired her to do month-of coordination for our wedding a few months ago. I think when looking for a wedding coordinator/planner, the most important things you're looking for are: responsiveness (how quick/often does she respond?), dependability (does she get things done well and on time?), and confidence (does she seem like she knows what she's doing? do things run smoothly?). The last one is important because weddings are hectic to plan and you really need someone who feels comfortable making sure stuff gets done and doesn't give you a sense of anxiety.

Satra is five stars across all these categories. In further detail:

- Responsiveness: Satra is quick to reply to emails, and also does a good job of nudging things along that might be lagging behind. I never felt like I was pinging her too often or that my questions were silly.

- Dependability: Our wedding was especially complicated, as we had a blend of cultures, traditions, and ceremonies. Not only was Satra on top of all of this, she even asked questions that we hadn't thought of.

- Confidence: This one is so crucial on the day/weekend of the wedding. Satra ran the rehearsal like a fine-tuned machine, wrangling everyone who needed it and made sure everyone was prepared. On the day of - this is where Satra really shines. As you might have guessed, on the day of your wedding, your attention will be divided between about a thousand things. You don't have the bandwidth to deal with everything, so you need someone there who can handle everything gracefully and put you at ease. Satra was a godsend here - everything went off without a hitch, and Satra managed every little detail.

The last thing I'll say is this: of all the small individual memories I have of my wedding day, one really needs to be mentioned here. After our ceremony was over, while our guests were enjoying cocktail hour, my new wife and I were shuttled off to the bridal suite to take care of the marriage certificate and costume change. Walking into the suite, there on the table, was a perfect portion of each one of our hors d'ouevres as well as our favorite drinks (a white wine for my wife and a sparkling water for me) - placed lovingly with a note of congratulations by Satra.

This kind of service is above and beyond, and is really the kind of thing that makes me look back on that day and smile, knowing we chose exactly the right person to handle the coordination.

Do yourself a favor and hire Satra for your special day. You won't regret it.

We hired Satra for month of wedding coordination. We were very happy with her services. Her calm, sweet demeanor, combined with experience in the events business, makes her a great coordinator. She is able to get along with a variety of vendors, which helped the reception go smoothly. The week of the wedding she helped tie up all loose ends and day-of, she even successfully removed ketchup from the brides dress!

Satra is a true professional - she is great at what she does, and you know that you are in good hands when working with her. Aside from a few minor hiccups, my wedding was perfect. She has a great eye, and really helped me nail down many details. She also completely managed the day of timeline, and stuck to it the day of without a hitch. Thank you Satra!
