User2613916 Sent on 05/19/2016We hired Courtney as our day-of coordinator for our wedding and this was the best decision we could have made! She maintained steady communication with me leading up to the wedding, took over contacting and organizing my vendors (which was a huge help, especially in the last few days when so much is going on), and was overall a pleasure to work with! At the wedding she made sure everything ran smoothly so the groom and I didn't have to worry about a thing. I can't recommend her highly enough, she is amazing!Events by P3's reply:

User2331765 Sent on 09/24/2015Courtney was amazing! I hired her as my 2 week before/day-of planner. But she definitely went above and beyond that! For about a whole year before the wedding she was there to answer any questions I had and/or ease my mind over things I was worried about!
The full 2 weeks before my wedding she took over and it was such a relief to hand everything over to her and let her finalize timelines etc.
And last, the day-of... she was super woman! Anything my husband and I needed, she was there and made sure everything went perfect! She even cut open her foot running a half a mile to grab her tide pen to get a stain out of my dress that occurred during our first look! LOVE COURTNEY, and we gained not only a party planner but a family friend!Events by P3's reply:

Courtney was booked to be my wedding planner for the week before the wedding and on the day of the wedding. Courtney wanted all of her money upfront before she started working.
When I contacted Courtney on Monday to help me book the last one or two vendors (videographers and sweetheart chair) she said that she does not do last minute bookings. She refused to call or recommend any more vendors.
How do you not do help secure vendors the week before the wedding if you specifically said you would be available the week before the wedding for whatever last minute needs the bride and groom needed?
This left me as the bride to coordinate the last minute bookings.
Courtney suggested I cancel my wedding rehearsal if enough people weren’t coming. I told her a better suggestion would be for her as the coordinator to encourage people to come instead of just cancelling. Many people in the party had never been in a wedding and didn’t know the importance of the rehearsal. If the planner had told them to come, they would have done so and I told her this.
The week before the wedding I asked Courtney if we could start decorating earlier than 12:30pm on the day of the wedding . I asked if she would contact the venue and see if they would agree to bring the tables out earlier so we could get started around 9:00am. Courtney called me back and told me that the venue refused to bring the tables out earlier and that they offered no explanation. This turned out to be false.
I later contacted the venue and they were happy to oblige my request because they had a wedding the night before so they could just leave the tables out there so I could get started on decorating as early as 8am. They told me Courtney never called and asked.
After all, she was already paid in full.
Finally , I asked Courtney if she would help me bring my wedding cake from the clubhouse to the reception area because the cake vendor had several other wedding booked that day and could not drive to our remote location. Courtney said she doesn’t want to touch the cake in case anything goes wrong. I told her I would hold her blameless if any accident happened because after all accidents can and do happen and I understand that she is not responsible.
She refused to help move the cake stating it was the cake makers responsibility.
When I asked her if she could call the cake maker and ask how big the cake was and how hard it was to move, she refused to contact the cake maker and said I need to send one of my family members to get the cake.
I rented wedding decorations and agreed with the vendor to pick up the decor. She said I should have negotiated for the decorators to bring the items and set up. I agreed with her on that. I did not know they offered this service. She said it was their job to deliver and setup so I asked Courtney to call the decorators back and ask them to deliver to table placements so neither she nor I would have to do it.
She refused to contact them and attempted to get them to deliver the items, citing that I had already agreed to pick it up. I don’t see why she wouldn't call as the wedding planner and simply ask the vendor to deliver reconsider.
Courtney left it to me to book and negotiate with the vendors when this clearly falls up under her job duties and she could have done a better job than me because after all she is a wedding planner by profession.
Courtney talked bad about her previous clients. She said the client brought chair covers and that after her and her team put them on the chairs, the decor didn't turn out as expected. I found this off putting because I also brought chair covers.
Is her team also going to make me look cheap and talk about me behind me back after my wedding? This comment made me feel insecure and not confident.
Courtney asked me questions that I did not know the answer to when I really wanted her input and suggestions. I wanted her to provide input and make suggestions or at least provide form instead a lot of open ended questions.
Her answers to all my reply questions for clarity was that I could essentially do whatever I wanted to do. This vague answer was not helpful because I told her I wanted a traditional wedding ceremony and reception and needed to know how things are typically done. I wanted her expertise.
Courtney called me one day when I was at work and then later said I wasn’t answering her phone calls. She only called once and I was at work.
I did not get the feeling Courtney genuinely cared about my wedding.
I wish I had a more supportive planner who made me feel confident. When I expressed my displeasure in consumer reviews Courtney did not try to fix the issue when I offered her the opportunity to do so. I agreed to remove the reviews if she just helped out like she agreed. Instead she just bailed at the last minute.
