I feel like I just jumped back into this day! Made my husband get teary...and he's only been able to look at a couple!

Ernst is TOP NOTCH - just amazing!!!!! I will look at these photos over and over and ... !! I will enjoy them more and more each time I'm sure!! The price was very reasonable and the experience with Ernst is worth every penny!

We were not only impressed with his work, but also with his attention to the bride and groom from start to finish. Ernst's help with the wedding organization and timeline was invaluable. He was flexible with the bride and groom's travel schedule and even weather!

1920 Themed Wedding

I reached out to many wedding photographers trying to find the RIGHT one. Ernst was fantastic to work with! He was very responsive any time we had questions. He reached out to us throughout the process, I never felt like I was waiting & thinking "what am I supposed to do now!?", because Erst was there every step of the way. He had great advice & suggestions. He was so much fun to work with the day of the wedding! He even took part in the silly surprise I had planned for my husband! On the day of the wedding, Ernst was everywhere & nowhere. Meaning, he was always there at the appropriate times, anytime I needed him he was a quick text away, & other times he ran under the radar grabbing pictures all over without getting in your bubble or interjecting into the moment. Thank you Ernst!

Choosing someone to capture one of the most important days can be a challenge. We can’t be more thankful for the memories that Ernst captured during our wedding. From the beginning of our planning, and even from our engagement photos, Ernst provided a sense of calm that helped us relax in front of the lens. Beyond his amazing skill as a photographer, Ernst also goes above and beyond with his professionalism. Planning meetings were a piece of cake, he scoped out amazing photo locations, and even attended the rehearsal to make sure the day would go to plan. Come the day of our wedding, we thought he might have brought clones along with his second photographer Shea. Ernst, how you and Shea spent so much time with everyone is astonishing. You were also able to capture so many amazing moments of both the ceremony and reception and I can’t even remember hearing a shutter click. Ernst also worked with deft efficiency when it came time for our formals, and made sure we weren’t late to our own party. We are also so grateful for how you and Shea stepped a bit out of your comfort zone and shot a few photos with my late grandfather’s large format camera. We treasure all of these images of our special day and choosing Ernst was the easiest decision we made.

All the big & little moments captured

I would highly recommend Ernst for your wedding photos! He captured the day - including the big and little moments - and all the emotion perfectly. I couldn’t believe how many gems there were in the photos we got back from him.

Ernst went above and beyond by joining us for the rehearsal in addition to the wedding day. He helped guide the rehearsal which was very helpful - particularly as it was our officiant’s first wedding.

Many people came up to us to say how great Ernst was - from capturing all the shots to subtly getting everyone to do exactly what was needed for the photos without them feeling like they were getting bossed them around. A hard balance to strike with so many personalities.

Kind, fun to work with, and talented!

I am a wedding planner and worked with Ernst in October of 2023. Ernst was my favorite photographer to work with this season! Genuine photographer and stunning photos!

My husband and I are so pleased with our experience with Ernst! We did both engagement photos and wedding photos with him. He was so much fun to work with and listened to every detail we had in mind for our photos. He asked for inspiration photos ahead of time so he could capture our vision perfectly. It rained on our wedding day, but our photos turned out clear and absolutely beautiful. He is so responsive and truly wants to make sure you have the best experience. Amazing wedding photographer!

Ernst really captured the energy of our wedding day and caught so many beautiful and fun moments throughout the ceremony and reception. No One Better!

Ernst Jacobsen is truly the best! My older sister had engagement, covid marriage ceremony, and actual wedding reception all photographed by Ernst. After watching how dedicated he was to his clients and seeing his amazing photos, we knew we had to book him! Ernst drove out to Hobart, IN for our wedding. He came into town the night before and willingly attended our informal rehearsal. During the rehearsal, Ernst helped answer questions that had nothing to do with photography, but made the day easier for us. On the big day, Ernst waited patiently while our make up artist ran over an hour behind, and somehow, he still got us all of the pictures we wanted. He even stood out in the rain to capture some of our favorite family photos. Ernst is a communicative, adaptable, and talented photographer who goes above and beyond for every client. We cannot recommend him enough!!

We absolutely loved having Ernst as our wedding photographer. The pictures came out even better than we expected, and he was a complete joy to work with and be around. Communication from when we initially booked him all the way until the delivery of our pictures was phenomenal. Our wedding party and family also adored him. Organizing pictures of so many different combinations of people could have been a very stressful time in the day, but Ernst navigated everything seamlessly and even made it all enjoyable! He was sure to get all of the pictures we requested beforehand and had his own suggestions we were so happy we took. We highly recommend Ernst and would book him again in a heartbeat!

The man you want to take your photos!

This man right here was AMAZING, from beginning to end. From requesting his services, taking the photos, and presenting us with our photos.

His communication was timely. You can tell that he has done this before. Rodolfo and I sometimes have a hard time taking photos together, but with his guidance it was so seamless. Even with the family it was easy to take nice photos.

He can read a room and adjust accordingly. He was EVERYWHERE. For a one man photographer he got every single angle of everything that went on in the wedding. I got SO many compliments on him. Everyone kept saying “he was everywhere”, “he must have gotten a ALOT of pictures, I bet you they are all good”. Then when he posted a few of our sample photos I could not WAIT to get ALL of them. When I shared them on social media everyone loved them and so did we.

I also got my photos back FAST. Probably within a month or two I already had the digital and the BEAUTIFUL presentation box. I had no idea this came with it but it had a few large prints, a few small ones and wooden USB drive. OH, and the box had probably the best photo of us and what the day was all in a photo. (Talk about a pictures worth a thousands words). It truly was so wonderful to receive. Mind you he hand delivered this to us. (Talk about caring for the customer.)

For the cherry on top, he was reasonable in cost. He would communicate when he was having discounts due to holidays and we took him up on that offer and we DEFINITELY got our moneys worth.

I cannot thank this man enough for capturing our literally perfect day, and it was because his love for this art and the caring that he has for people that made it truly a wonderful experience. Thank you Ernst for making that day so, so perfect. :)

Wonderful photographer - DEFINITELY would recommend!

You cannot go wrong if you choose to go with Ernst! We first met him for our engagement photos, and again for a small family ceremony when we had to cancel our original wedding for COVID. For the larger wedding celebration we were able to have this year, he was fantastic as always. His professionalism and kindness are beyond compare. He is able to assemble everyone and is excellent at sticking to the timeline. Ernst has a keen eye for great candid photo-ops too. And oh my goodness were our photos AMAZING! Helped us really relive the whole day to go through them. No surprise Ernst did such a good job! We would recommend Ernst to all family and friends in search of a photographer.

The best vendor choice you will make

This will be a very long and detailed review because we could not have been more thrilled with our decision to hire Ernst. I hope that reading about our experience can help other couples come to a decision they feel confident about.

When I was shopping around for a photographer for my wedding I felt a little overwhelmed. There were many options out there and I know little about photography. After showing a few different galleries to my dad, an amateur photographer, he recommended that I choose Ernst. I am so glad I took his advice.

Ernst was so understanding with the 3 date changes we had due to covid. He did not charge us any fees or penalties.

Ernst's services are worth every penny and more, which is amazing when you consider how competitive his prices are. He worked with us to make a time line that fit our needs exactly. He guided us through the planning of our wedding day photos with ease. He explained the entire process and more. He offered us tips that went above and beyond what we expected that helped to make our day run beautifully.

Ernst showed up early and stayed late. He was so flexible. Even though I ended up being 45 minutes late to our first look, Ernst got us back on schedule while still managing to capture all the photos that we wanted. It was a very hot day, and there was a moment when Ernst dabbed sweat off of someone's forehead with his own sleeve. What dedication to making sure our photos were perfect.

During the ceremony and reception, Ernst seemed like he was everywhere at once. We had about 125 guests at our wedding, and he made sure that everyone was represented in the photos. Every time I saw him, he was taking a photo. He worked hard the entire time. He was accommodating and receptive to suggestions and requests from guests. He was as professional as could be. He was right there for every special moment. Looking through our gallery I see quite a few photos where he captures the same moment from opposite sides, and I am baffled as to how he pulled some of these shots off.

I give Ernst the highest of recommendations. I feel confident that anyone who hires him for their wedding day will be in the best of hands. I have heard that working with a photographer can be stressful sometimes, but in our experience, Ernst was a source of calming and organization. He helped our day run smoothly, helped ease a lot of wedding day stress, and provided us well over a thousand wonderful photos. Thank you so, so, much Ernst.

AMAZING Job! We couldn't be more pleased.

Ernst photographed both our engagement session and our wedding, and my husband I couldn't have been more pleased with how our photos turned out. Firstly, Ernst is so easy to work with - he has both a fun and professional personality that puts you at ease, and helps you feel comfortable with getting your photos taken for an extended duration (which I think most people aren't used to, so that's quite a feat! Ha.) He is easy to reach by phone or email, and we enjoyed him simply as both a person and a photographer.
Not only is Ernst just a great person to work with, he takes AMAZING photos! He truly captured the essence of our wedding day, and took the time to make sure that we got the photos that we wanted (our engagement photos were gorgeous too!!) Our wedding gallery is a dream come true! His attention to detail and ability to edit photos to enhance, brighten, color correct, etc. are absolutely wonderful too - our photos turned out great thanks to Ernst! We are SO thankful that we went with him as our photographer, and we can't wait to print our photos and share them with our loved ones.

Can't recommend highly enough!

I cannot recommend Ernst enough! He did an amazing job telling the story of our wedding - he reflected the joy and funny moments that come with every wedding day.

Ernst went above and beyond every step of the way. I asked to take photos at a specific location on the Constitution Trail in Normal for sentimental reasons, but it wasn't close to a parking spot - so Ernst went ahead of time to check it out and found the best place to park, without me even asking! He even directed the bus driver so we could just sit back and relax. He arrived early, stopped by the rehearsal to check in, and stayed late. Ersnt even sent us a small package with some personalized gifts after our wedding!

During our wedding day, Ernst made us feel so comfortable and at ease. He directed our family for the group photos, went along with our silly wedding party photos, captured the party on the dance floor (which was VERY important to us!) and made us feel so relaxed in the middle of a crazy day.

If you want beautiful photos that tell your story, and a professional photographer who will take pictures you will treasure forever, hire Ernst.

He even took time out to check out our venue to get ideas AND came to the rehearsal to touch base, give suggestions, and get to know us. He even helped guide our rehearsal since we didn't have a wedding coordinate that night! The pictures turned out amazing, and we will cherish them FOREVER! He didn't miss a thing! Ernst went above and beyond to make our day memorable. He drove out of his way to attend the rehearsal so he could meet everyone and get some ideas for the ceremony.

The day of, he was calm and flexible. Using the photography schedule that he helped me create, he made sure to get all the important shots.

Upon completion of the photo gallery, he was quick to make any editing changes I requested. After that, he shipped us our custom USB drive. The attention to detail was astounding. We received a custom box with our photo on the lid, several 8X10 prints, and a custom wooden USB drive with our photo on the front.

I would recommend Ernst to anyone who wants memorable photos and a relaxed but professional photographer. We are so glad we hired him!

I can't say enough about Ernst Jacobsen. I could not be happier with the whole process and with our final pictures. I was repeatedly surprised by how Ernst went above and beyond, and I would absolutely recommend him. Ernst assisted us since day one by sending 'worksheets' to help us in determining our timeline, establishing our picture priorities, determining how much time to spend at each photo location, and the sequence of the wedding reception. Ernst also scoped out our reception venue prior to the wedding, came to our ceremony rehearsal, and made sure to meet the close family members before the actual day. Ernst was in frequent contact with us prior to the day to ensure we were on the same page. On the day of, he arrived early, and was the utmost professional. He took all of the 'staged' pictures we had planned on, but also plenty of candid shots capturing perfect moments, that actually wound up being my favorites. He has a great eye. He surprised us further by using the assistance of his wife as a second photographer, to take shots from the balcony during church, and other angles during the reception. He stayed beyond his scheduled time and captured literally every moment from the start of the day to the end. I feel like I'm watching a play by play when looking at our pictures, not a moment was skipped nor someone not photographed.

Choosing Ernst as our photographer was one of the best decisions we made! He’s not only incredibly talented and professional, but also warm and genuine. He took time to listen to our story and understand what we were looking for with our photographs. We discovered Ernst when we attended our friends' wedding a whole year before we even got engaged. He took such lovely photos of the whole event, including several posed and candid photos of us enjoying the festivities. We had Ernst's photos on our fridge before we'd even started talking about getting married!

He was professional, kind, and extremely organized. In preparation for the big day, he provided sample timelines and had us complete a questionnaire about what we did and did not want, which we really appreciated. The big day is always chaotic, but Ernst and his assistant were cool and collected and did a great job of getting beautiful photos while also keeping us on schedule.

Photography was probably the category we experienced the most sticker shock in while planning our wedding, but I cannot express how thrilled we have been with our investment in Ernst. Our photos turned out just beautiful, and we were so excited to see the intimate, funny, and touching moments he captured (somehow without us even noticing him!). He had our 1,000+ photos edited and to us within 4 weeks of our big day.

We sprung for a hard bound, color album as part of our package as well. Ernst chooses his favorite photos to tell the story of the day (and you get a chance to add or change things). Our friends have one, and it is gorgeous. Excited to see ours. Go check out his online galleries!

Ernst was absolutely wonderful to work with! Leading up to the wedding, he communicated regularly with us to make sure we were all on the same page in terms of what we wanted. He made suggestions in places that seemed complicated for us and provided great feedback and guidance to create the best timeline possible. The day of the wedding, he was incredibly easy going and kindly helped to guide us when we seemed off track. Ernst was friendly and warm to everyone involved and welcoming input from others on what pictures to take. He arrived earlier than we had asked and left later than we expected. He captured such beautiful moments throughout the entire day and checked in to make sure he was getting all of the shots we wanted. Upon getting our pictures, he was extremely generous in providing us with a USB and prints; packaged in a very unique photo box! Above and beyond. Those are the words that best describe Ernst. The small details and extra effort he puts into his work shows from start to finish. He sent me an email last week, months after our wedding, because he was trying out a new service. Not only that, but personalized USB, the multiple slideshows, family friendly gallery links, and even making us the cover photo for his website are all extra things Ernst did to make us feel special, not because he had to. Ernst has such an amazing talent for capturing ‘moments’ which is exactly what you want on your wedding day. It’s not the formal photos that remind you how great your day was – it’s the natural fun and excitement that is so important to be documented. Ernst’s ability not to miss a moment is incredible, and his energy and true passion comes across in the photos. He is able to blend in so well that your guests literally will not realize they’re being photographed. He also captures nature in such as amazing way in the photos. I have beautiful angles that I never dreamed possible. He was always willing to give as much advice as we needed, but was never pushy. Ernst photographed my wedding in 2014 and he did a fantastic job. He made my guests feel comfortable and was able to capture some really fantastic shots of them. Words cannot begin to express how pleased we were with choosing Ernst as our photographer. His style was a perfect fit for what we were looking for - a focus on capturing the candid moments and real emotions and doing so in a beautiful manner. We were blown away with how wonderful our photos looked and how many little moments he captured. He met up with my bridesmaids and me at the hair salon at noon and stayed up until the end of our reception at 10 pm and worked like crazy the entire time. We were a very energetic bunch on the dance floor and he didn't miss a beat. We were pleased to see a nice mix of pictures of all of our wedding guests enjoying themselves - we are very excited to share the wonderful couples and group photos he took of everyone! Looking back, I cannot imagine our wedding day without Ernst being a part of it. He's so incredibly professional, all the while having a comforting calm about him. He's the type of person you'd want to have a cup of coffee with on a rainy Sunday morning to talk about life and photography.

Ernst came to the club before our rehearsal to scope out the grounds, venue, and meet everyone (within 24 hours he knew all by their first name). He's a very quiet force, always hiding in nooks, bushes, trees, hallways, and corners... capturing the moments you didn't even know happened until you see them on film. He also has a really hearty laugh if you get him going on a good joke, which I loved.

Words cannot describe all emotions felt when looking at the sneak peek blog post, the full gallery, and now receiving the USB drive - which, I may add, came in its own custom photo box keepsake. We laughed hysterically, cried, smiled, and reminisced from start to finish, thoroughly absorbing they day for what it was through his eyes and everyone around us.

Every bride is different in what they chose to invest in on their wedding day. I am unbelievably grateful that we chose Ernst to tell our story. The man with the camera is pure magic.

For those engaged couples looking for a photographer for the big day, look no further than Ernst Jacobson. Through the entire wedding experience, Ernst was timely, organized and professional. It may seem simple, but something I noticed about Ernst from the start is he remembered everyone’s name the first time from parents and grandparents to the entire wedding party. It really made the group photos a seamless process. Some of our favorite photos were the action ones that really bring us back to the fun we had in the moment during our bar crawl and reception. Additionally, Ernst does a great job getting photos of all of the guests at the wedding. Even after the wedding, the exceptional service doesn’t stop. Within a month the photos were ready digitally and soon after that we received a personalized USB giving us the rights to all of the photographs. Having Ernst as my wedding photographer was a blessing. Ernst kept the entire day running smoothly, and was excellent in time management and scheduling even before the big day. It definitely helped keep the day going along smoothly, I didn't have to worry about anything as Ernst was prompt and efficient with organized photographs and timing of events. He was extremely prompt on editing and returning photos following my wedding. The best of all is he was wonderful to work with, easy to contact and very thorough in capturing the moment during my wedding! The photos were beautiful and many memorable moments were captured, looking through the photos brings back vivid memories of the celebration with friends and family. :) Ernst was very tactful to catch all the moments and keep everyone organized while not feeling as though the photography was intruding at all with the events. We highly recommend Ernst Jacobsen's services. We were extremely impressed with his skills and professionalism. The images he and Barbara captured were outstanding! Not a moment was missed and each image can stand alone as a work of art. Since our wedding was in the winter, having a photographer who could manage location lighting and was a priority. We were very impressed with his vision and technical skills for scenarios with difficult lighting. Ernst had scouted out our locations for post-ceremony pictures prior to the event, so he was well prepared and had a good feel for the lighting. I cannot thank Ernst enough for the beautiful photos of our wedding! We
were overwhelmed with the quality of the photos we received in such a
quick turnaround from our wedding day. My husband and I live in DC and
were married in Illinois so had to coordinate the entire wedding over
email and phone calls. Ernst was recommended to us by a close family
friend and after seeing his work, we were convinced he was the
photographer for us. His professionalism is top-notch and he responded
quickly to all of our emails and made our transactions online run as
smoothly as possible. This was a huge weight off our minds because we
were planning from so far away.

As for the wedding day, Ernst was
extremely laid back and made us both feel comfortable and relaxed. For
two people that hate taking "staged" photos, I was delighted that Ernst
captured dozens of photos that looked so natural and really captured
the couple that we are. In addition to keeping us relaxed and natural,
Ernst also handled interactions with both of our families extremely well
and we received a lot of compliments on his professionalism and the
quality of the photos afterwards.

I could go on and on about the
quality of our photos, but one of the main reasons we chose Ernst is
because he does wonderful candids of friends and family that come to

Ernst did my wedding at the Peoria Zoo on June 14, 2014. He is exactly what you want in a photographer--laid back but responsible and dependable. He checks out all the venues in advance if he hasn't been to them before, and even came to our rehearsal in order to meet everyone and check out the church (despite it being an hour away). We got our pictures in about six weeks, which is pretty good time compared to what I've heard from other people. We were very happy with the photos as well. Highly recommended!

I don't think there are enough words to say how amazing of a photographer Ernst is. We reached out to him in an emergency situation- we were one month away from our big day and had to find a new photographer. Ernst had recently captured a wedding I was at, and the bride had nothing but rave reviews about him. His response time was amazing- he ALWAYS responded promptly, professionally, and politely. He met with my husband and I that same week and went over everything with us, signed a contract and we started counting down the days.

He asked if he could attend our rehearsal, he wanted to scope out the venue and get to know our wedding party. Our rehearsal was on Halloween, he was so dedicated that he took a few hours away from his kids on a fun holiday to come make sure he was prepared for our wedding.

Ernst quickly realized how loud, silly, and obnoxious we all were- and he couldn't have captured that any better. He came to the hotel room around 9:30am and stayed at the reception until 10:30pm. During those 13 hours he captured every moment I could have ever asked for. He captured the raw emotion of our guests, from laughing to crying to everything in between. We wanted our photographs to remind us of the events, the people, the feelings of that day- and that's EXACTLY what Ernst's talent delivered.

Not to mention he turned the photographs around in two weeks....865 or so photos all edited and gorgeous, in two weeks. Amazing! I even had a little wardrobe malfunction and Ernst gladly went back and touched up the photos for me. Plus he sent us a customized USB drive in a cute little box, both of which had a photo from our wedding on them.

Please, if you are considering Ernst as a photographer- DO IT! He was so fun and easy to work with! Thank you Ernst!!

Ernst is, simply stated, the very best photographer you can hire. He goes above and beyond to give you amazing memories of your big day.

We hired him first for engagement pictures, and knew immediately we had made the right choice. He is so friendly and comfortable to be around, but above all else he KNOWS how to capture a moment. He was all over the place, even climbed a tree, and the results were perfection.

When it came time for the wedding, he blew us and our wedding party away. He came for the rehearsal to get a good feel for the venue and by the actual event, he knew the wedding party by name. He arrived per our request at the hotel to get the getting dressed pictures at Noon, and didn't leave the reception until around 10. (the reception ended at 10:30) He captures every moment, big or small. Our pictures aren't just your typical staged shots (which he also does REALLY well), but actual moments with joy and love, and not just of the bridal party, but of all the guests.

Today we received our package with the drive with our pictures on them, and were again blown away. Ernst had a custom box made with our picture on it (that we are now using as a canvas on the wall) Inside was a custom flash drive with another of our pictures printed on it. He puts so much thought into every aspect of the process.

As far as photo quality, I'm sure I'm biased, but ours are the most crystal clear I've seen. There are no showy filters or flashy effect editing to hide an overall lack of quality like I see so often anymore, just crystal clear perfectly lit and captured shots.

Ernst went above and beyond in every facet of our wedding. We worked with several vendors in order to put on our wedding, and Ernst was by far the easiest to work with. He always was quick to answer any questions and was on top of everything from start to finish. He sent us emails to remind us of important dates and information a week or two before it was even on our minds. He was very flexible with times to meet up and made us feel like he would be anywhere and do anything to make our wedding day perfect. He even showed up to take pictures of the girls getting their hair done early in the morning, even though we told him he was welcome to attend but that it was unnecessary since only a few were getting their hair done.

We were a little nervous because many photo vendors use a two or three person crew now, but we could not believe how many shots he was able to take and we were left with the feeling that he did not miss a thing and captured moments we would not even have thought of.

Ernst does his homework and it showed. We truly feel as if there was nothing more we could have asked for from him and we feel like we got it all for a reasonable price. Ernst was a pleasure to work with and made our wedding day truly special and has provided us with beautiful photos that will allow us to remember that special day for years to come.

It is great knowing that you have someone you can trust to capture your wedding day, who does a fantastic job.

Ernst bent over backwards for my husband and I on our wedding day! He was there through every angle and made every shot perfect. He touched every single photo he gave me even if it meant no editing, he made sure he took time to view each and every one by themselves. Ernst was amazing! He is super reasonably priced and does a really, really good job! I would absolutely use him again. He doesn't have time restraints and probably would have stayed all night if I wanted him to. He is really creative and was super organized for the wedding day. He came to the rehearsal to meet the family. I had given him a list of come random/creative pictures I wanted to try and he came prepared with printed examples to show people and made most of them work! Ernst was great! He was so easy to work with. Very professional and easy to contact. He was with the wedding party the WHOLE day! Not only were the staged shots great, but the candid shots really captured the mood of the day. Without knowing much about all of our guests, his photography reflected their personalities and they are some of our favorite shots. Very talented, unique photography and highly recommend!

Ernst is a wonderful man and an incredibly talented artist! Every photo he produces is beautiful and shows the joy of your 'big day'. He stays with you and makes photographs from the start of your prep time and stays through part of your reception to photograph your first dance and cake cutting. Worried about having to select only a few photos? Not the case with Ernst! He provides an online gallery and will mail you a disc with all your photos! I give Ernst 5 gold stars and an A++ You are not likely to be disappointed if you work with him.

Ernst not only takes amazing photos, but he is a true professional in the way he interacts with his clients and their loved ones. He goes out of his way to make sure everything goes smoothly on the day of the event and is always willing to hear his clients' preferences and suggestions. He was always prepared for the unexpected and, perhaps more importantly, he was just easy to work with. His laid back personality is very welcome during a time that can sometimes be a little stressful and overwhelming. I have nothing but praise for Ernst and his work!

Awesome! The photographs taken by Ernst Jacobsen are beautiful and capture the special moments of our daughter and now son-in-law's wedding day. From his arrival at the rehearsal on Friday to the end of the reception on Saturday evening, Ernst used his professional skills and creativity to take fun behind-the-scene pictures, traditional, posed pictures and the "special moments" pictures that every bride (and her mother!) will treasure forever.

There are many decisions that must be made when planning a wedding - choosing Ernst Jabosen Photography was the best and easiest choice! If you want truly stunning images of your special day, Ernst should be your wedding photographer!

We hired Ernst for our March 2013 wedding and we were very satisfied. Selecting a high quality photographer was very important to us and we could not have been happier with our choice. Ernst's style of photography was exactly what we wanted and he was so easy to work with. Both of our families loved him and were very impressed with him throughout our wedding day. Ernst was everywhere and got all of the shots that we wanted. He was very professional and had excellent communication and follow up skills during the time leading up to the wedding. The contract and pricing were also very reasonable. Wedding day went very smoothly and we received tons of compliments on our final prints which were sent to us faster than expected. Overall, it was a pleasure working with Ernst and we would definitely recommend him.

The pictures Ernst took for our three day wedding were wonderful! I don't know how he did it, but he was always there at the all the right moments! All my family and friends who attended kept telling me how accommodating he was, even if things didn't go to plan, he adapted very well. He was so easy to get a hold of, which I appreciated so much. The photographer was one thing I didn't have to worry about during the wedding planning process. Thanks to his professionalism, enthusiasm, and great pictures, the wedding was great!

"When researching photographers, we were immediately interested in having Ernst take our wedding pictures. His pictures are gorgeous and his prices are extremely reasonable. Everybody knows that planning a wedding can be stressful, Ernst helped make the process a little bit easier. He was with us from start to finish on our wedding day, and you do not come across many wedding photographers who stick with you for over 14 hours of wedding madness! He captured so many moments on film, and I didn't even know he was there for some of them. We had a sneak peak two days after our wedding, which was great for our very anxious friends and family! I would recommend Ernst to anybody looking for a wedding photographer. Both Trent and I are so pleased with how our wedding pictures turned out. Ernst is a true artist and went above and beyond in his duties as a photographer! He came to our rehearsal the night before to make notes of the shots he wanted to get. He accompanied me to the hair salon to get photos of my bridal party and I getting our hair and makeup done. (Which was at 9 am and no where near the ceremony that didn't start until 3:30) His price is very reasonable and his photos are outstanding!

While doing my research on photographers, I found that most offered different packages for different prices and were very strict on their time limits, i.e. package A is 6 hours of shooting, package B is 8 hours, etc. Not Ernst! He will be with you all day so you don't have to worry about time limits. He is very flexible and easy to work with. His photos are very beautiful and capture natural, candid moments. I have already recommended him to a co-worker and would recommend him to everyone. My husband and I couldn't be more pleased with how our wedding photos turned out! Thanks Ernst!

Ernst was AWESOME! We could NOT have asked for a better photographer! He was very accommodating and went out of his way to make our day perfect! Our Engagement Pictures are amazing and our Wedding Pictures are phenomenal! Our Wedding Day was full of fun surprises and unique experiences; he managed to catch every breath taking moment! His ability to capture our day, especially our reception, blew us away! We highly recommend Ernst!

Ernst is an amazing photographer! I could not have asked for a better photographer for my wedding day. He answered all my questions when I bugged him with emails and he took amazing pictures from all sorts of different directions. He is well worth every penny!

Ernst photographed my wedding in November 2012. He was very professional and exceeded my expectations (which is hard to do)! The pictures turned out great and I was very happy with both the end result and working with Ernst throughout the process. I would recommend Ernst highly!

Ernst exhibits an ideal balance between being personable and professional. He honored our personalities and quirks, accommodated our requests, worked around our hitches, and all the while he crafted his art beautifully. He was very respectful of our vision but equally confident to collaborate when his expertise vivified it. I would recommend Ernst's care and skill to anyone.

Ernst photographed my daughter's wedding and did an excellent job. He was all over the place and took some amazing photos (but we hardly noticed him), and we ended up with several hundred pictures. I love his work. We picked out some of the pictures and created a photo book that I just love. His pricing was very reasonable, compared to other wedding photographers. If/when my other daughter gets married I plan to hire Ernst!!! Cindy

"Hi Ernst! We were so happy to see all of the photos! I was worried at first, because I thought with just being at the church and at the reception there weren't going to be all that many, but there were way more than I expected! My husband and I really enjoyed working with Ernst and love how the pictures look! Ernst Jacobsen is a great photographer with a friendly personality and a desire to show your wedding day as its own beautiful journey. From the start of the wedding day, to the end of the reception Ernst captured the most special moments as well as many extra fun and candid shots from our day. When searching for photographers, I contacted Ernst and he responded right away with links to albums of his past weddings, prices and different options we could have for our wedding. He was always quick to respond and was happy to meet in person several times as well. He even came to the wedding rehearsal so that he could meet the important family and friends that would be there for the big day! Everyone found him friendly and professional. On the day of the wedding he was there early and got lots of great pictures throughout the entire day. He stayed for the reception and managed to really capture the fun and excitement of the dancing and entire evening. The pictures came out beautiful, and my husband and I had a lot of fun going through all of the wedding photos together. Ernst was very reasonable in comparison to the photographers that I found. He gave us very personal attention and did a wonderful job highlighting what made our wedding day special to us. With all the choices to make for a wedding, choosing to work with Ernst was one of the easiest and most fun for my husband and me. If you work with Ernst you will not be disappointed! All of his wedding albums are beautiful and yours will be too!

Ernst was a bride's dream. There's not much I can add to the review that was left by a guest at my wedding other than how he related directly with the client (me and my husband). He was superb! Friendly, accommodating, trustworthy and so professional. Our request was for him to lean toward the "photojournalistic" side with no true formal portraits. He did exactly that but always had a smile when asked specifically to shoot something or someone. He captured the true soul of our event, not staged sequences. Prior to the event he was always responsive with calls and emails and truly seemed to want enhance our day, not interrupt it. Ernst provided us with a sneak peek of our wedding shots just a few days later. From seeing just that sneak peek we are thoroughly impressed. He captured moments I didn't even know occurred and through his photos have for us captured the true feeling of our special day. Thank you Ernst! I think when we first spoke I told you that the work of yours I had seen is stunning. I can now vouch that the stunning part starts with the photographer from within and is simply projected through the lens. As one of my friends said "we're planning on getting married again just so we can have Ernst capture it".

Working with Ernst was a dream. Andrew and I felt so comfortable with his familiar charm and the photographs are absolutely stunning! He is kind, professional, and adaptable. Ernst genuinely cares about your desires and takes the time to make them a reality. The best decision of the day was marrying my true love; the second was having Ernst capture our special day. We are so grateful for the joyous, intimate, and comical moments captured for us to enjoy the rest of our lives, especially knowing they were handled with great care.

Ernst was our wedding photographer of our wedding in July 2014. Ernst did an outstanding job in capture every aspect of our wedding and reception. He was willing to spend extra time to attend wedding rehearsal, check reception setting, and arrived really early to take pics for my wife's makeup and hair salon (8:00 am). Under very hot and humid weather, Ernst captured wonderful pics from different angles. The editing work is fantastic, and we can tell he really spent the time to edit each pic. We sent out Ernst version of our wedding/receptions pics to all of our friends. He is a really nice guy and very professional! Price is fair and editing took 4-6 weeks.
