Erica was so great to work with! She helped us so much with figuring out a timeline and making two people who aren't super comfortable in front of the camera look good! And, the pictures she took were incredible! We're so glad she was there to capture so many beautiful memories from our wedding day! My mother-in-law even said they were the most beautiful wedding pictures she's seen. -

Not only is Erica's work absolutely stunning; she is also a genuinely kind, fun, and lovely human. We will cherish the photos she captured for us (from both engagement shoot and wedding day) for the rest of our lives. We chose her for her natural, candid style, and we couldn't be happier with that decision! She managed to capture all of the joy, love, and beauty of the day.
Not to mention, she is a seasoned pro and gave us expert guidance ahead of and throughout the day to make sure everything turned out how we wanted. She was able to kindly & effectively wrangle our big families for portraits in the intense summer heat -- not an easy task! And she's fast, too. We were blown away by how quickly she delivered our sneak peek and final gallery.

A gem of an addition to your big day
We were introduced to Erica through our wedding venue and have been so impressed with her talent and the photos she has produced for us. She is a genuinely beautiful soul and makes even the most camera shy feel comfortable in front of her lens. She has shot our wedding and our maternity photographs and the galleries were delivered quickly both times. The images we recieved are top notch and have exceeded every expectation of ours. For our wedding photos, she spent a lot of time with us on the front end helping with our timeline and ensuring we got all the family & specialty photos we could dream of. We truly will be able to look back through our wedding album for the rest of our years and re-live our day from start to finish with the biggest smile. We look forward to photo shoots with Erica in the future as our family continues to grow. -

Erica is the best, don’t hesitate just book her! We were out of state so first met Erica over zoom and it was clear that she knows what she’s doing and really wants to make sure the photographs reflect who you are as a couple. Also, she’s just a genuinely nice, caring and a fun person!!
On our wedding day she made sure we stayed on time and captured all the moments that were important to us. Not only that but when we wanted to pivot from the plan (too hot and sweaty to keep taking pics) she was already figuring out when we could try for more pics again later in the day. She knew post wedding we would want those extra pics and she was right! Also, she kept the group photos fun and everyone in our family and wedding party had such amazing things to say about her too.
I could go on and on, we loved working with Erica and if we are ever back in asheville and need more photos for anything we will definitely hire her again. -

I could not recommend Erica more as a photographer! She was our wedding photographer on 4/22/23. We also did a "get to know you session" last November. Prior to that, we met with Erica over Zoom to plan everything and discuss the schedule of our wedding day, our wants/needs, and what we envision for our special day. She's up for anything, fun, incredibly professional, and knows what she is doing!! After that Zoom meeting, we had our entire wedding day schedule done and everything started to come together planning wise. During your photo session she'll make you feel comfortable and is very personable and easy to talk to/brainstorm fun ideas with. At the end of the day, both the initial photo session images and every image from our wedding day turned out STUNNING! She managed to not only beautifully capture our most special day, every special moment, but also the tricky ones - like our two pups and my three little nieces! She'll make your wedding day flow beautifully, taking a huge weight off your shoulders, and you'll have incredible photos to keep and share for a lifetime!! She's the best!! -

My wife and I had the pleasure of working with Erica for roughly 9 months now. She was our photographer for our wedding this past weekend, she took our engagement photos and she was our northern star as we prepared to get married. It’s very rare to find people who are so insanely talented in their field of work while simultaneously being such an amazing person - Erica is that anomaly. Erica can find a great photograph in a tornado and I’ve never seen anything like it. She would take photos of us, show me the picture on the camera and I would have to look behind me again to make sure it wasn’t a trick. We were floored by what she was able to do. Beyond the picture itself, she had the gift of being able to make us comfortable, managing our wild dog, corralling our distracted family members and keeping us completely on track to get our photos done where and when we needed to. She is patient, helpful and kind. We know we selected the best photographer, couldn’t recommend her more and will absolutely reach out to her when we’re back in her area. Please do yourself a favor and hire Erica for your photography needs. Thanks a million, Erica!!! -

Erica is beyond amazing at what she does. All of our photos are amazing and she never missed a special moment at our wedding. She really knows what she’s doing. Not only is her photography amazing but she was extremely helpful with our wedding at Hidden River Events. She helped coordinate the wedding and helped with any issues that arose. She was also very flexible when scheduling to get together. We would highly recommend Erica for her talent alone. She went above and beyond on everything she did and well exceeded expectations. Erica shot our wedding in September and was truly PHENOMENAL to work with. We had some added logistics to our day as we were getting married at a church in downtown Asheville + we had a bunch of different family combinations that we wanted to get photos with and Erica handled all of our requests like a total pro! She met with us ahead of time to chat about our timeline + pointed out any moments that may be a logistical challenge. Thanks to her expertise, we were able to plan for these moments and the entire day went off without a hitch! On top of being a total logistical pro, Erica’s talent as a photographer is unmatched! My husband and I had a fantastic experience with Erica. Personally, she is an incredibly warm, authentic, and calming presence. Prior to the wedding, she helped us plan the day by providing a wedding schedule and helping us understand how photography would fit into the day. She made the organization of the wedding much easier, and gave us peace of mind in our planning! Erica has a gift for making you feel comfortable when taking photos. Neither me or my husband are that comfortable in front of the camera, and she totally rocked it, getting us to interact naturally together and capturing some truly wonderful moments. Day of, she also kindly kept us on task to make sure we captured the memories we wanted, while also not interfering with the vibe of the event. Having Erica capture our Wedding Day was one of the best decisions we made. From the initial introduction to days after our wedding, Erica made sure to be in constant communication and was always available to answer any questions we had. She created our timeline, she made sure that everything we wanted captured was captured, she guided us through everything. We can't get enough of our amazing pictures and the feedback we've received from our friends and family on how beautiful they turned out! Erica gave us a gift that I will never be able to repay her for. Because of her we get to look back and experience the best day of our lives over and over again. She captured EVERYTHING and more! Erica captured our day so perfectly
Erica was a pleasure to work with from the beginning. Our venue had 3 options for photographers. They all looked great, but we knew we liked the look of Erica's photos right away. We could have either rolled the dice and gotten whoever was available, or pay a little extra to guarantee we could book Erica, and we are SO glad we did! Our venue was in NC, and we live in Southern California, so most of our planning had to be done from thousands of miles away. She made communication smooth, and we felt comfortable with her on our first call. My husband and I do not get a lot of professional photos taken, so we feel somewhat silly during the process, but Erica made us feel so natural even while doing things that were unnatural for us.
The day of our wedding, Erica was prompt and well-organized. She was so efficient that most of our family and friends were able to head straight over for the cocktail hour and not spend all afternoon getting shots. She remembered individuals' names and what was important for us to capture.
We clearly can't say enough great things. If you get the opportunity, definitely book Erica for your wedding! -

The short answer is: Hire this woman! It will be the best decision you could have made. (See attached photos for reference!) She's an incredible communicator, a calming presence in a high-stress situation, an AMAZINGLY talented photographer, and an overall incredible human.
I knew from our first call that I'd made the right choice for our wedding photographer. Erica basically planned our wedding itinerary for us, and helped create a comprehensive shot list after a single call. And after that, she gracefully accepted the dozens of changes I sent in the months, weeks, and days leading up to the wedding.
As you can see from the photos, we were trying to set a world record for largest wedding party... and I can't imagine the logistical nightmare that created for Erica to capture the photos we'd agreed on. But she CRUSHED it! Not only did she manage to get all 30+ of us in a shot, she knocked out individual shots, group photos, and candids to make sure all of our loved ones were represented in the gallery.
And she did all of this through literal hail, snow, and rain. Who would have thought we'd wake up to snow on our April wedding day? Not me, and I was panicking about how we were going to make it work, and whether or not we'd get the shots I'd been dreaming of for all these months. Turns out, I had nothing to worry about. Because Erica SAVED THE FREAKING DAY!
Despite snow, hail, wind, rain, mud, and grumpy friends/family, Erica hustled hard to capture every incredible moment. She kept us laughing through our shivers and chattering teeth, and the results speak for themselves.
I can't recommend Erica highly enough, and I'm already trying to find excuses to work with her again. ;) -

Erica is a fantastic photographer and person with an incomparable eye for the little details and for capturing all those special little moments. She made taking photos so much fun and easy, and provided excellent guidance for us awkward people LOL! She was incredibly attentive to everyone, and tried to find innovative ways to capture our big day despite injuries from dancing! She worked well together with our videographer and gave them ideas on shots, etc. Erica is not only a great photographer but she has an beautiful soul! She was so calming and everyone came up to us after the wedding that her energy was just perfect. She even had to help me get my shoe on because my foot was swollen! Above and Beyond! Where do I even begin?! Erica is a truly talented gift to us! Our wedding process and wedding day was as stress free as possible thanks to Erica. From the beginning, we had several phone meetings with her - discussing what we envisioned our wedding to be, our families, our friends, photos that would be most important to us, who we are as a couple, the list goes on and on! We felt like we were catching up with an old friend! First, Erica shot our engagement photos... WOW! They were perfectly us - we felt so relaxed, so happy, so at ease! It was such a special experience that we will savor! Next, my now-husband gave my mom and photoshoot of her and I for her birthday... the photos, yet again, are phenomenal and capture our special bond! Then our wedding...I wish I could come up with words to express my gratitude. Erica is one of the most special people I have ever had walk into my life.. she did not stop shooting every moment of our wedding day! She made sure we were comfortable, happy and enjoying our day at every moment. Her photos were beyond anything I could have imagined! We hired Erica for our engagement photos and our wedding day. We immediately clicked with her - she made us feel comfortable and confident in front of the camera. Erica does an incredible job of putting people at ease, offering suggestions, and working with many different types of people and vendors. She is professional and fun and takes AMAZING photographs. Erica carved out time for us ahead of our wedding day to schedule video chats in order to get to know us better, go over our expectations, and basically establish the entire timeline of our wedding day, which was crucial and allowed us to put our minds at ease when it came time to sort out wedding day logistics. I mean, literally, the entire wedding day timeline was crafted by Erica during a zoom call. Erica was the photographer for our wedding in June 2021, after a year delay of the wedding due to Covid. Despite the setback, she was highly involved throughout the process, from handling our engagement photos to walking us through an expected step-by-step timeline of how the day would go. When the event itself came, she did a terrific job capturing the joy of our wedding. Not only did she capture all the “must have” moments like the speeches, cake cutting, and first dances, but she also managed to capture many of the little moments too (like my wife and I dancing in front of a fan to cool off!) that make your wedding day so special. You sometimes hear the phrase “born to do this”; Erica is a true professional who is the perfect fit for what she does. We would enthusiastically recommend working with her if you get the chance! -

I could go on and on about Erica and how amazing she was during the planning process as well as on our actual wedding day. She was such a delight and beautiful soul to work with. She formulated our whole timeline for the day of and ensured that everyone was on track. She knew that the day of I kind of just wanted to float along and enjoy every minute without having to worry about the timeline or little things that popped off, and she made sure that happened. She also got to know us and what moments/shots were most important for her to capture for us. My husband and I really wanted to live in the moment that day, and Erica shot our photos perfectly exquisite to capture all of the love and fellowship with us and our friends and family. I also hadn't really ever worked with a photographer before, but by the time the wedding rolled around I felt like I was working with a member of my family; it was just so comfortable...which made for the most AMAZING photo gallery. If I had to hire a wedding photographer again, I would hire Erica 100 times! -

I don’t even know where to begin here! Erica photographed our wedding day and I truly believe it wouldn’t have been the same without her. Our photos are absolutely perfect (not to mention they were edited and delivered sooo quickly), and working with her blew our expectations out of the water.
She is SO fun, has the most genuine and authentic presence, and if our giant wedding party and families are any indication - I believe she could actually herd a slew of cats. I never knew how tough photographing a wedding was and she made it look effortless. From the first moment we spoke to her, we knew had picked the right person. She is so professional but in the most fun way, made us (two awkward-in-front-of-the-camera people) feel very comfortable, and we really felt like we just had our very good friend there to capture our favorite day.
I could really go on and on all day about all the reasons we loved having Erica photograph our wedding, but I’ll leave this with the fact that you will absolutely not regret working with her. In fact it will be one of the best decisions you make for your wedding day. We love you Erica!! -
