I’ve been following Emily on Instagram for almost 2 years. What first caught my eye was her beautiful vision and aesthetic on her page — totally my vibe. Thought she could be a potential photographer choice in the future. Evidently, my fiancé and I got engaged in Nov 2019 and I thought it was the perfect chance to reach out to Emily for an engagement shoot. She was super easy to coordinate with — especially when weather wasn’t working on our side. We finally had some decent weather and chose to go with it. My fiancé and I had a blast with Emily and felt like we’ve known each other for years. She doesn’t do any of that posing stuff — she goes for candid and real. And although it started to rain during our shoot, she made it work and it turned out magical. I honestly didn’t want the shoot to ever end. She’s insanely talented, sweet and so easy to work with! Would recommend 1,000%! -

Wow. My husband and I got engaged November of 2018 and the first thing we did was start looking for a photographer. You see, my husband is a photojournalist so someone who knew their stuff in and out was essential. But I had a very romantic, moody almost editorial taste in the photos I loved. These are very different concepts than what my husband likes, so we had to find someone who could make us both happy. That's a daunting task in itself. But we interviewed Emily and she was happy to meet the challenge. That, and was eager to do our insane idea of a sunrise first look on the beach. Emily basically became part of our planning team. Every step of the way she clued us in on tips and tricks she's learned working so many weddings. She helped us build our schedule well, helped us come up with a shot list, encouraged good ideas and questioned bad ones. In finding our photographer, we really found a friend, too. "The Plan" was to have an April 2020 wedding, and then covid happened. We were about a month and a half away and we had to pause or postpone everything. Emily supported me through the grief of losing my dream wedding. She was happy to work with us on our future date of April 2021. And then more calamities happened for us and we decided it was time to jump in and get it over with (no one thinks they'll feel that way about their wedding, thanks 2020) and Emily was still on-board. Every turn we threw at her, she handled with happiness and grace. She had creative ideas of her own that she asked us to do which told us she really was putting her heart into our project. The morning of the wedding she was there, professional and ready to go. She was really kind of our support beam for the whole day and we probably did not pay her enough for that. She expertly navigated family members and last-minute requests. She sent us a handful of preview pics a day or two after the wedding as a perfect teaser for the hard work we'd get to see. She got us our whole gallery EARLY and RIGHT BEFORE CHRISTMAS. WHAT. This woman is the real deal. She's incredible. AND THAT'S NOT EVEN HER SKILL WITH THE CAMERA which is next level. I was so picky about what I was looking for and she absolutely delivered. Her talent with shooting and editing surpasses even her ability to be warm and helpful. I absolutely cannot say enough good things about Emily. -

Phenomenal!
Emily is everything you could possibly ask for in a wedding photographer! She stuck by our sides as we navigated the craziness that was wedding planning in 2020. She was incredibly flexible with my husband and I while we went through plans A-Z as the year progressed, and insured that our intimate wedding ceremony was every bit as special as we hoped it would be.
My husband and I are very camera-shy and reserved by nature, but Emily did an absolutely phenomenal job making us feel relaxed and comfortable while she documented our special day.
Emily, thank you so much for being such a calming and fun presence throughout the process. You gave us beautiful images that we will cherish for a lifetime, and you will forever have a special place in our hearts because of it! -

Emily is AMAZING! I've been lucky enough to work with Emily twice now, and both times her photographs have completely blown me away. Whether she's capturing a lifestyle shoot for a local fashion company, a wedding, or special moments in your own home, Emily has a way of putting you at ease in front of her lens. She's fun and easygoing, yet incredibly professional and knows how to give you feedback to add movement to the photos she captures. If you're looking for someone to capture all the special, honest emotions of your big day, or someone who can capture the warmth you feel with your family or partner in your home, Emily is the girl for you. Emily is an INCREDIBLE photographer, but more importantly she's the person that you want to have with you on your wedding day. The pictures she produces are absolutely beautiful and somehow seem to catch everyone on their best side and in the best light. However, excellent photos are made truly excellent by the memories they represent and Emily helped in so many ways to make sure our memories of our wedding day were nothing short of perfect. SHE IS THE BEST!!
Your wedding photographer is with you every step of the way on one of the most exciting and most stressful days of your life. While many photographers can take excellent pictures, Emily brings soooo much more to the table. I'm so thankful that she came into our lives for our big day and all the time leading up to it. From the moment we booked Emily she was so helpful with all of our questions! We had a blast at our engagement session with Emily and she took us to the most beautiful location. (I highly recommend an engagement session to get to know your photographer better.) On our wedding day she was ON IT! She's the kind of photographer ('friend' is probably the more accurate word here) that will jump in to help make your experience on your big day as wonderful as it can be. When I was admittedly starting to get a little hangry during our wedding party photos because I hadn't had time to eat yet, Emily pulled out a granola bar for me. When no one could figure out how to bustle my dress because of the complex bead work and embroidery, Emily slung her camera over her shoulder, got down on her hands and knees and she FIGURED IT OUT. She was so helpful with keeping us on our timeline while somehow also helping to ease my nerves and anxiety when we were a little behind schedule. Having Emily with us on our wedding day felt like having a really great, helpful friend hanging out with us while also taking spectacular pictures. Our families can't stop raving about how wonderful she is and how it wouldn't have been quite as perfect of a day without her there. After that experience Emily is officially part of the family. Book Emily. You won't regret it. She's also pretty quick with getting your pictures to you after your big day, which is a plus!

I worked with Emily for our engagement photos and wedding day photography and can't say enough good things about her. She's organized, she's on top of it, she's super easy going, she's funny, she's thoughtful, and she takes amazing photos that truly capture your day. Working with her was a breeze and our photos were delivered faster than anticipated! On our wedding day, she somehow seamlessly patched in photo sessions, and when we weren't in designated photo sessions, she somehow took a bunch of candid photos and we didn't even realize she was there. If you're on the fence, just go with Emily! You will not regret it!! -

Emily is a talented, lovely photographer. As a venue owner, we see a lot of photographers shooting in the same environment so it is especially easy to compare the work of one photographer to another. Emily is someone we want to come back regularly because she showcases the venue exceptionally well and she is pleasant to be around. She has a great eye, her photographs are both beautiful and documentary, and her editing is consistent so all the shots look good together.
In hiring a photographer, their personality is very important as they are with you the entire day and they spend a fair bit of time telling you what to do. You need to like them and take their direction well. Emily has a personality that you are happy to be around all day!Emily Keeney Photography's reply:

Best Decision!
Emily is the best!! Hiring Emily to photograph our wedding was one of the easiest and best decisions we made. Not only does she take some of the most beautiful pictures ever, but she is also a beautiful person inside and out, and an absolute dream to work with! She went above and beyond capturing our wedding day memories into the most stunning photos.
Throughout the whole day, Emily was prompt, communicative, energetic, and easy-going, which made our wedding day stress free and fun. Emily captured every moment of our special day and helped guide us throughout the photos which turned out gorgeous! Emily is an absolute gem with a genuine and sweet personality who made us feel very comfortable from start to finish. -

Emily was the BEST decision we made for our wedding day! She is such a pleasure to work with and really showed our true selves through our photos. We had the pleasure of working with her for both our engagement and wedding photos. She is a true professional, quick to respond and extremely quick to deliver. Our engagement session was filled with so much laughter and a great way to break the ice! We were so nervous but every picture was stunning. Emily completely blew our minds with our wedding photos and exceeded our expectations!! She captured what seems like every moment from our day. Each picture brings back a memory of that specific moment in time in the most authentic way. We are in awe and can't stop looking at them! I have no idea how to choose which to put up in our house. I hope to have Emily capture many more of our milestone moments in the future. -

She is so fun to work with, makes you feel at home in front of the camera, and her gorgeous work speaks for itself. She listened to our vision for the day and helped fine tune all the scheduling details and had some great ideas for us too (which was great because we didn't have a wedding planner or much experience with behind the scenes wedding stuff). Communication was quick and easy, and we got both our engagement and wedding photos back way sooner than we were expecting.
She has such an artistic eye for the fine details, and it was so cool to get our gallery back and see everything that she captured. Also, she is the best 'hype man' ever, and will make you feel like a supermodel on your wedding day :)
After hearing so many horror stories, choosing a great photographer was on the top of our priority list, and Emily absolutely delivered beyond all of our expectations. We cant thank her enough, and cannot recommend her more highly!

Absolutely wonderful.
Emily was the perfect photographer for our wedding day. She is truly talented in capturing authenticity, joy, love, and tenderness. The wedding day goes by quickly, but Emily captured so many beautiful moments through her photos that have been a gift for my husband and I to return to time and again.
