My biggest complaint is that I have too many good photos to choose from. Emily and Matt were not only lovely people, but produced incredible wedding photos. Their styling is so special and unique giving you photos that are like nothing you've seen before. I can't recommend them enough! Thank you guys! -

Emily was truly wonderful. Unfortunately her husband Matt was not able to be there at our wedding, but the woman who filled in for him was fantastic. She was so easy to work with, and so relaxed and warm that I was immediately comfortable in front of her camera. So far we have only gotten our preview pictures back but they are INCREDIBLE. My mom cried when she saw them. Already I feel like its going to be impossible to choose from so many good shots. I keep looking through them every other day marveling at how gorgeous they are and reveling in the memories of the day that are so beautifully captured. My husband and I are not the kind of couple who is into really posed pictures, and she only really cued us or asked to pose maybe 3 times the whole day and they ended up being some of my favorite shots. She knows how to make you feel comfortable and bring out the best of you both. Emily is amazing and if you want your pictures to not only capture the visual but the emotion of the day, hire her immediately! -

In the face of a pandemic, we had to make a lot of sacrifices to make our wedding happen in 2020. But the easiest decision we made was hiring Emily and her husband Matt to photograph the day. And they delivered more than we expected.
Their character and energy blended perfectly with ours, which meant spending time with them while getting ready felt comfortable, leading to some really special photos. They both gave excellent direction to us, and our friends and family when necessary, and somehow became invisible during the ceremony while we focused on the moment.
Prior to the wedding they were easy to connect with to talk through details, and they quickly turned around 100’s of images for us to look through...and that’s where the magic really is.
Their ability to create an image is second to none. The colors they bring out, use of natural light, and innate ability to put themselves in the right place at the right time allows them to capture moments that others cannot. These aren’t just snapshots of an event, they’re glimpses into the emotion and feeling of an entire day. -

Emily and Matt are the best. Our wedding photos were absolutely stunning, and even more importantly, they captured all the genuine emotion and joy of every moment of the day. Emily and Matt also brought such a kind, fun, and relaxed vibe to the day and felt like old friends by the end of the night. As an added bonus, Emily sent along the photos within only 2 weeks of our wedding (instead of the quoted 6-8 week turn-around time) and we received several hundred more photos than expected as well. It was a true joy to work with Emily and Matt from start to finish! -

Emily and her husband Matt traveled all the way to Scotland to photograph our wedding. I honestly could not have asked for better people to attend and photograph our wedding. Seeing the day through their eyes have given us a gift we will never forget! They are wonderful to be around and are super professional.
We had a very intimate wedding and having them there was like having old friends with us. I can not recommend them highly enough! Seriously, book them now! -

Jessica Sent on 01/15/2018When my husband and I saw Emily's photography online, we knew instantly that we wanted to work with her. We couldn't have been happier with our decision! Her easygoing and no fuss personality made us feel at ease right away. We wanted a good blend of posed and candid photos and that's exactly what we got. Emily brought her husband, Matt, as a second shooter on our wedding day, and he was such a joy to be around, too. The two of them bring a sense of fun, lightheartedness and professionalism with them, which worked well with us. Many of our guests were complimenting Emily and Matt, saying how sweet and fun they were to be around. They seemed to capture all the major moments, but were barely seen. We have so many beautiful pictures of us, our guests, the venue, the decor, the details, etc. They did an incredible job snapping our big day and we're so grateful to have had the chance to work with them! Thank you, Emily and Matt! -

Julia Sent on 01/23/2017Emily is absolutely a wonderful talent and a wonderful human being. She was the first vendor I booked and had her picked out even before I was engaged, she'd done several coworkers weddings and I fell in love. Unfortunately, my fiance and I cancelled our wedding (MIL problems) but our engagement photos are hung around our apartment, our save the dates were beautiful, and I cannot thank Emily enough for both those images of us in love and also for being so caring as we worked through this. She is a very happy soul and really gets to know each of her couples. I think that definitely shows in her pictures and they are something I will cherish forever. -
Claire Sent on 09/26/2017We had an unbelievable experience with Emily and Matt and it was one of the best decisions we made in our wedding planning process. The short version: we have the most beautiful, magical photos that capture everything we felt on our wedding day, and Emily and Matt were just the loveliest people to share the experience with. The long version: there are two meaningful things we hope others will appreciate about what makes working with Emily and Matt so special.
First, they documented our wedding day as we experienced it. They gracefully integrated themselves to the experience (and added a lot to it!), but never distracted from the wedding itself. Unlike other photographers I've seen in action, there were no staged moments or interruptions to the flow of our day. Second, our photos captured so many moments we will never forget, but also many exchanges that we missed between our friends and family. It was so special to look back at our parents dancing, our faces during toasts, and so many candid moments that we will treasure forever. And somehow, they sneakily took some stunning venue and detail shots that helped us appreciate how beautiful a day it was!
We had admired Emily's work for a long time and were so excited when she was available on our date. Honestly, we were worried that her beautiful style wouldn't translate for us given the amazing weddings she has documented, but were blown away but how she blended our personalities with her amazing eye. We just loved working with her and Matt and couldn't be happier with the thought and care and personal touch they put into our beautiful wedding photos. -

User2450068 Sent on 12/01/2015I'm beyond ecstatic about how our wedding photos came out -- Emily and Matt are both spectacular photographers -- but what makes the photos even more special for me is that I was unsure if I was the "right" kind of bride for Emily. You see, I'm a plus size bride -- which Emily doesn't generally feature on her website - and I was concerned up to our wedding day that even as beautiful as Em's pictures are, even as lovely as our engagement photos turned out, and even as wonderful, fun and kind a person she is, that I still wouldn't measure up. I'm stiff in front of the camera because I'm concerned about "looking fat" and I never come out looking like how I picture myself in my head. I was convinced while we were taking our formal portraits that as beautiful as I felt, I was ruining the shots with my stiff affect, my double chin and jiggly bits. When we got our photos back, I was shocked. Grinning back at me from the photos there was this glowing, gorgeous bride, who looked as spectacular I had felt on the day. Emily and Matt captured not only beautiful colors and light, but also the intense joy of that day, shown in our faces and those of our guests as we got married, ate, drank, danced and laughed our butts off. They captured moments that I remember so clearly and just locked them in time forever. Sure, there may be a stray double chin or jiggly bit here or there, and I may not be a bride featured in her portfolio, but her photos captured the magic of the day in a way that exceeded all my expectations, and they make me feel like a pretty princess every time I look at them! -
User1940477 Sent on 11/25/2014Oh, Emily Delamater, it was a dream come true to have you (and your husband, Matt!) photograph our wedding. I saw pictures of someone in a wedding and began following Emily Delamater Photography on Facebook in December 2013. As Emily posted more and more beautiful pictures on her page, I was amazed by the softness, brightness, beauty, calmness, happiness, love - she captured every single feeling you would want for your wedding pictures. As someone who absolutely LOVES pictures, it was everything I could have asked for and more. I didn't think we could ever afford or book Emily (since she is SO talented, popular, and in HIGH demand). Having her as a photographer was something I wished for, but didn't think was possible. Our friends started getting engaged and planning their weddings and we realized that if we didn't throw our wedding together this year, we probably wouldn't have another time to plan a wedding. So we reached out to Emily and planned our wedding date based on when she was available in November. Yes, she was THAT important to have. While the photography was definitely a hefty investment, especially as a graduate student (and both my husband and I are applying to more graduate school now), booking Emily is the one thing I know for sure I would never, ever, ever, ever change if I were to do my wedding again. Seriously, she's that good. And to be honest, if she was even more expensive, I would have sacrificed other aspects to have her. Because we planned the wedding in 2 months, we didn't have time to do the engagement shoot Emily offers as part of her packages. So we booked her and her husband for our bowling alley rehearsal dinner! My husband and I aren't the best posers - I'm the one who typically snaps all the pictures - so we felt a little awkward being the center of attention, so when we got our sneak peek, I was relieved that I loved the pictures and cannot wait to see the rest! I wish I could write more but I am out of space! -
User1779985 Sent on 08/25/2014Emily is beyond amazing to work with. Her and her husband Matt make an excellent team and we can't thank them enough for all they're hard work! They're not only amazing people but are extremely talented photographers. We were blown away after getting our wedding images - they are all stunning and they capture all the perfect little moments that made up our wedding day. Her images are everything you would ever want your wedding photos to be, when you look at them it's like you get to re-live it all over again. I love the soft focus, natural lighting, candids, and more traditional shots too! I can't say enough about Emily and definitely recommend her services to everyone!
