Ellen LeRoy Photography
Ellen LeRoy is not just an amazing photographer, she knows and understands the entire wedding process, all of the important people and what to do if it all goes haywire!!
(My story as mother of the bride:)
our couple got engaged in December and they wanted a destination beach wedding at Emerald Isle. So we found the beautiful Chateau of the Isle and it was available for the first week of April… yes 3 1/2 months!! Since we do not live in the area, we made some calls to see if we could pull off the perfect beach wedding with such a short timeframe. The first couple of calls to wedding coordinators were discouraging, they all said “no way”, but then I called Ellen and the tide turned. First, she answered the phone, (not a voicemail) then she said calmly- of course you can do this in 3 months, and here are some names of people who can help make this happen, and here are some things to be aware of, and lastly- “call me if I can help you”! Needless to say we booked the chateau and hired Ellen!
She knows her business, she is a professional, talented, kind, calm and adaptable- yes we flipped everything upside down at the last minute. She did not even blink! She also introduced us to the most incredible, organized and very kind coordinator, Heather, to assist us on the wedding day as well as the weeks before ! She kept everyone on track.
I am convinced that these two women can pull off the impossible! We would have been lost without them. We received our photos this week and they are stunning, technically and artistically. Ellen LeRoy should be your first call when planning your wedding small or large!

Ellen and my now fiancé planned a beautiful surprise proposal and engagement shoot for us. She captured every moment beautifully. The photos are more stunning than I could have imagined. Jonny, me, our family, and friends are all so happy with the memories she captured. She’s so lovely, easy to work with, and made the shoot so fun and comfortable for us as well. Absolutely Amazing engagement pictures!
Ellen was absolutely amazing to work with and her photographs are incredible! She worked with me to plan a sneaky proposal with me where she pretended to be a crabber so we could get some candid shoots of the proposal itself and then did a more formal shoot after. All in all an amazing experience! -

The best photographer!
Looking for someone to take the most beautiful wedding pictures? Look no further, choose Ellen! She was a joy to work with and made our wedding extra special and fun! When we got our photos back We couldn’t decide which ones we wanted printed because we loved every single one of them. If I could post them all in this review I would! -

Great experience with destination wedding!
I was very happy with my experience with Ellen! I am from Ohio and planned a destination wedding! Looking for a photographer in Emerald Isle, I found her through Emerald Isle Reality where I booked my rental house. I saw the quality of work she did and knew I wanted her as our photographer. She was very prompt with communicating through email and even offered help with finding other vendors she has connections with! We were able to get a beach wheelchair for MawMaw to make her comfortable with the help from Ellen! She even came to the rental house to meet us, a couple days before the wedding, to go over the plan for the day and gave input of when to get the best pictures! Her expertise gave us the wedding photos we dreamed of! -

Ellen basically saved the day! We had to postpone our May wedding but still wanted to do a small wedding ceremony on our original date. She was incredible! She was so knowledgable, creative, organized and personable.What I really appreciate most (other than making me nephews crack up the entire time), is that she went above and beyond for us. Her expertise and honesty were invaluable. I really appreciate being told how to pose and stand (she knows how to make you look good!!). I wish we could have her again in October! If you are hesitant of booking her, BOOK HER! You are lucky to have the option! Did I mention, our pictures were absolutely gorgeous!?? -

Amazingly talented, personable and special in every way!!!!!!
Ellen was more than my photographer, she became part of my family. From helping with my planning to capturing every moment of our ceremony/event in a way that will keep the memory alive for years to come. I am so glad I found her and was able to have her with us to photograph our wedding -

Emerald Isle Wedding
Ellen did my wedding photography and I could never say enough great things about her! We were in Ohio and she made sure to keep us informed and even went as far as recommending hair and makeup for the wedding. One the day of the event it was like we had known her forever the pictures didn't feel staged at all and she even did great with our flower girls who were both 2 and ring bear who was 5 months. This was a big decision to make and we are so happy to have found Ellen! She even got our pictures back to us in less than a month so we were even able to share them at our reception back home! -

Ellen did such a great job with our engagement pictures and wedding!! Our engagement pictures were on a very windy and cold day. We ended up loving the pictures but she offered to do a second engagement shoot on a day with better weather/lighting, which was much appreciated. We loved the pictures from the second shoot even more, which I hadn’t thought would be possible.
Our wedding was in late October 2018. Ellen was perfect from beginning to end. She spent the whole day with us and she (and her 2nd shooter) captured the day perfectly. My bridesmaids said they never imagined that taking wedding pictures could be so fun! She makes taking pictures comfortable and easy. We got our pictures back 3 weeks after the wedding and we are in love with all of them!
I highly recommend her—she is professional, kind, creative, and very talented. She is good at what she does and it is very clear that she is passionate about photography.

Liz Sent on 10/12/2018Ellen was everything we needed and more! From decision making for timelines to local vendor suggestions and most importantly the photos she was there! We are from Pennsylvania and we not 100% familiar with the local area and she was able to help us remotely for our destination wedding. She is an incredible photographer who is also a generous, kind and laid back person. She captured some of the most precious moments without us even thinking about it and she was quick through formal photos so we could get back to the real party! Finally, what really makes me rave is how flexible she was because we were also affected by hurricane Florence and when the schedule had to change, Ellen was able to accommodate us. If I did it all over again, Ellen would be my number 1 photographer.

Our photos are beautiful, even with the difficult lighting of the aquarium, and she worked with us for our first look when we weren't sure the weather would cooperate. Her pricing is flexible, she doesn't require you to buy prints you don't want, and she makes it simple for anyone who wants prints to get them. She is truly easy to work with and is just a genuinely a kind person that wants your special day to be special forever! Would definitely recommend!!

So many people have stated how jealous they are of our photos and wish they had found her for their events. She is professional but also very fun and personable! I hate photos of myself, and she made me feel beautiful and made me enjoy having my photo taken. Not only is she a great, sweet, and kind human being she also delivers pinterest worthy photos! I am beyond pleased with every experience I've had with Ellen. I will always call her for my professional photos!

We chose Ellen based on her familiarity with the area/venue and her amazing talent for photography, not to mention we had so much fun getting to know her and felt like we had known her for years! She is extremely professional yet so much fun to be around. Our photos turned out perfectly. We couldn't be happier w/ our decision to work with Ellen.
