The best!
Ellie did my hair and makeup as well as my mom and sister’s hair and makeup for my wedding. Ellie made our morning together so calm and easy. She truly has a gift and we trusted her vision with everything. She also did my partial highlights and cut my sister’s hair in the weeks leading up the the wedding and I can’t say enough positive things about both services. Wedding hair and make up
Ellie did my bridal hair and makeup for myself and 2 bridesmaids this summer (2022). Looking at the Wedding Wire reviews made my decision since I didn't know makeup artists in the area. She did an outstanding job and was able to accommodate everyone's individual requests. Our makeup stayed all night, even in the summer heat. Everything was seamless to requesting information, makeup trials and on the wedding day. Our hair and makeup was done on location at the venue, which was very convenient. I would highly recommend Ellie and Ritual Beauty Bar. -

Airbrushed finish!
I hired Ellie after seeing how she handles skin—I was finding a lot of makeup artists in the area tend to go very heavy. But Ellie uses an airbrushing system so everything just looks flawless without looking cakey.
She did hair and makeup for several people on my wedding day and she and her assistant did a great job. Showed up on time, got us all glammed up, and was super attentive to the whole crew! She helped make my wedding day so special! -

Ellie was amazing! She did the hair and makeup for my wedding day and also for 7 of my guests. From the trial day to the day of my wedding she was super communicative and open to my suggestions. She is a real artist but also a great person to work with, super calming and organized. Even some of my guest that did not want to do their makeup or hair before were so impressed that they changed their mind the day off and Ellie was able to accommodate them.
I am glad I was able to book Ellie and her team for my wedding day! -

Excellent experience!
Ellie and her team were amazing on my 10/30/2021 wedding day! As a covid bride, Ellie was accommodating through my postponement and was able to change the date with no issues. On my wedding day, Ellie was punctual, professional and lively during the getting ready process. With her experience, she was able to calculate our timeline perfectly and she made my whole bridal party feel beautiful in our own skin. I can’t recommend her enough. Thank you Ellie! -

Amazing hair stylist
Ellie is amazing at what she does! She makes you feel so comfortable and listens to what you want. I have very long and thick hair and it stayed in place the way I envisioned it for the entire night of my wedding! -

Elle and her team said they would be at Hunter Mountain at 8am and they were right on time. Elle and her team worked hard that day to make everyone beautiful with their hair and make up. What she did for my daughter was absolutely stunning as she and her girls did for everyone! I would definitely use Elle again and her team because they are extremely professional and listen to exactly what you want and then create your dream. -

I Love Ellie! Being from Rochester, NY I was a little uneasy about finding a make-up and hair person in a area I am not familiar with but she was great with communication and had great hair and make-up ideas for me. I normally do nothing for my hair but bun it and no make-up lol, the detail and skill she has is amazing and I literary looked and felt like such a princess! Her prices are super fair and her salon is super cute and clean! -

Great job!
Ellie did a wonderful job on my wedding hair. I had 4 people: myself, my sister, my mom. and the groom's mom, all with different hair types/lengths and ideas of hairstyles they wanted. She managed the time well and was able to give everyone exactly what they were imagining and we were all so happy with how our hair came out! -

Amazing hair and makeup
Ell and her assistant Sarah did hair and makeup for my wedding in Greenwood Lake, NY. They did myself, my mom, sister, sister in law and mother in law. They stayed on schedule and were lovely to spend the morning with. They did a great job! -

I’m so glad I found Ell! She has such a calming demeanor, listens to what you really want, and makes thoughtful suggestions. On my wedding day everyone loved her and loved their hair - we all looked amazing thanks to her work. She managed to put my frazzled request together into exactly what I had envisioned. I was feeling a little anxious that morning and while we were all together in the bridal suite, she took notice and gave me a little essential oil to calm down - it’s little personal touches like this that just reaffirmed my decision that she was the perfect pick for our day! Can’t recommend her enough. -

I had very specific expectations for my makeup- I wanted to look natural/how I normally look but with enough coverage to look good in photos all day. Ellie nailed it! Her talent with airbrush makeup (I’ve never had it done before and was afraid it would be heavy but it wasn’t at all) and achieving a natural look, even with lashes, was incredible! Ellie also did my hair- she worked with my clip-in extensions and a hair clip I wanted to use. She gave me the volume I wanted and the style lasted all day. She did hair and makeup for me and 3 bridesmaids and was perfectly on schedule! Her receptionist, Lara was always responsive and helpful too! So glad I found Ellie :)Ritual Beauty Bar's reply:

Don’t even hesitate to book Ellie!! From the hair trial all the way through the wedding she was nothing short of amazing. I was indecisive about my hair style and unsure of what to do, and she was always there to listen and was super patient and honest with me. My hair & makeup came out EXACTLY how I envisioned. I really wanted to feel and look like myself and keep it free, loose, bohemian and easy without it looking corny or over the top and she nailed it!! On the day of the wedding she showed up early, was incredibly professional and not to mention she kept it light, was fun and chill to hang out with all morning. We had fun music playing, we were rehearsal dinner hungover, drinking mimosas and had a total blast. We all were soo happy with how we looked. I will always remember that morning as one of my favorite parts of the day. The morning getting ready ends up being a pretty significant chunk of your wedding day, so choose wisely who you spend your time with!! Would go back and book her over and over again if I had the choice! She is simply the best in the Hudson valley/upstate area, you won’t regret working with her :) -

Ellie and her assistant were so great to work with for my wedding! Her team was super responsive and flexible throughout both the trial and wedding, and she was able to make changes to my hair and makeup from the trial on the day of with no problem! Ellie and Dana did such an amazing job on hair and makeup for me and my bridesmaids the day of my wedding. They were very responsive and helpful, answering any and all questions I had leading up to the big day. The day of they traveled to us and were super accommodating with my picky bridesmaids.
