We could not recommend Liz’s services enough! We had a micro wedding in Acadia National Park on October of 2023.
We had a unique situation and unfortunately Liz was sick during our elopement. However, she took care of everything and our wedding was absolute perfection.
Liz met with us several times leading up to the day, easing our worries and answering all our questions - we’re from Florida and had never been to Maine (we picked the spot off of some pictures from Pinterest one random late night). When we found out she would not be able to shoot our wedding, we were devastated and nervous, but we honestly had nothing to worry about. Liz completely mapped out our day, pictures and maps, little suggestions for photo opportunities and got another awesome photographer to cover for her. Liz has extremely high standards and amazing taste! She found someone that could shoot like her and worked with him to give us an incredible day. Liz was also going to be our officiant, and so she found an awesome replacement. Everyone was so friendly and made the day so wonderful.
After the wedding was done and we were finally home we met with Liz to get our final edited photos. She was so quick with it and the final edits and album experience was breathtaking. The colors popped and she made what was an already beautiful experience even more lovely.
We highly recommend Liz, she’s incredible and without her help, I just don’t think the day would have been as memorable. Having never been to Maine or Acadia National Park we relied heavily on her past experience and the knowledge she had. In the words of my dad, “each place was prettier than the last.” We would not change a thing about our special day, it was absolute perfection.Elizabeth Ivy Photography's reply:

“Simply the Best. Better than all the rest”
Those may have been the words heard by our guests as Andrew and I walked down the aisle. But more importantly, it only begins to describe the appreciation and good fortune we have in finding and hiring Liz to be our wedding photographer.
Neither Andrew and I are necessarily drivers of our own attention, and coming up with a plan for how to have our photos shot wasn’t easy! However, from our first virtual meeting, Liz knew how to make us comfortable so that we could be ourselves around her and her camera. We were drawn to her warm smile, ability to capture unique moments, and bring the atmosphere of the surroundings into each photo.
Liz is an organized, cool, and calm companion that you’ll love having at your side. Her confidence and organization ensured that of all the logistics, finalizing details for photography were the last thing we needed to worry about. Indeed, on the day of the wedding, as the stage was set for “first looks” (HIGHLY recommend, even if you’re skeptical), seeing Liz’s warm glow and smile just helped set a tone for how special that day can be for a couple. From then on, we let her lead the way, and we were overwhelmed with gratitude for her steady hand, sharp eye, and ability to get the right shot.
We were excited to receive our photos, but we didn’t expect how a photo could so easily bring us back to that special day. A slight tease of the photos came the day after the wedding, which was so fun. But the delivery of the photos came with us all seeing them together for the first time over a zoom meeting, which only showed how much she truly cares and takes pride in her work. Now, the difficult part…choosing photos for print!
We couldn’t be happier to have found Elizabeth-Ivy Photography, and would recommend her without reservation. Thank you, Liz!

Rainy day photo perfection!
Finding the perfect photographer for your wedding can be a difficult thing because they are photos you plan to cherish forever. Liz was the perfect photographer for us. From the start, with our first consultation, she was interested in what we wanted from our photos and made us feel comfortable. Leading up to the wedding she was very easy to communicate with, and helped us put together a schedule for our day, making everything flow very smoothly.
On the day of the wedding we had a lot of rain but Liz knew how to make the most of it. She found the perfect indoor spots for beautiful photos and even toughed out the rain with us for a while. The photos in the rain came out magical, we love them so much, and have received so many compliments on them.
Overall, we would recommend Liz time and time again. She is not only a great photographer but she is a kind person who is easy to talk to and wonderful to work with. She has not only done our wedding, but two other weddings in our family, which says a lot about how highly we recommend her.

Wonderful Experience Working with Elizabeth Ivy Photography
It was a very lucky day when we stumbled upon Elizabeth Ivy Photography last year while planning an out-of-state elopement to Maine. After reviewing endless photography websites, we choose Liz because her photos were unique, personal and artful. Also, her personality seemed sincere and down to earth. We were not disappointed! Liz worked so hard in helping us plan our day and pick the perfect spots to visit. She really listened and asked questions to understand our expectations for our day. She didn’t blink an eye when we changed course two months before our wedding day and relocated to an entirely different area of Maine. She responded by sending us fresh options and even went out of her way to research some new sites. I can’t begin to imagine the amount of time she put into helping us plan our day. We felt she really listened to us explain why we are drawn to Maine as visitors and worked hard to incorporate the scenery/features we described as our favorites. When we finally met her in person on the morning of the wedding, it felt as though we were meeting up with an old friend. We don’t enjoy being in front of a camera, but Liz made us feel at ease and most of the time we didn’t realize she was snapping away. We enjoyed having Liz along – she was flexible and accommodating. As promised, Liz sent us a small sampling of the photos the very next day via text which we were able to share with family back home to announce our elopement! We were even more pleased when the full set arrived a few weeks later. She captured so many of the beautiful qualities of Maine that we had chatted about, funny candid shots, and the tender moments that bring us back to the feelings of the day. We wanted our photos to capture the scenery just as much as we wanted images of us enjoying the day. Liz got it right! It’s the perfect mix. We love our collection of photos and are thankful we met such a sweet and talented person. We recommend Elizabeth Ivy Photography for any couple who wants to work with a skilled professional dedicated to getting to know you before the big day and learn what will thrill you when your photos arrive. -

Amazing experience and perfect photos!
We went to Liz for both our small wedding in Wells, ME, as well as engagement photos! Her description on her website of being there for the “chill laidback types” is spot on! She captured both sessions perfectly for us, and I couldn’t be happier with the selection of wedding photos. Liz has a knack for knowing exactly what we needed and wanted based on our conversations before each session, and went above and beyond at our wedding, capturing the environment, ceremony, and some of the after party. We truly couldn’t be happier, and look back in our pictures so fondly! Thank you, Liz! :) -

Incredible!
We LOVED working with Liz and cannot recommend her more. She is not only extremely talented, but so very kind and makes you feel relaxed and comfortable. I can be a bit photo shy, but she made us both feel so confident and at ease. We have so many favorite photos. She made even photos in the dark reception hall look incredible! Her skill with composition and lighting are amazing. We are so happy we worked with Liz and highly recommend her! -

Calm amidst the chaos
Liz was the calm part of planning our destination Maine wedding throughout the rescheduling our 2020 wedding to 2021. She was flexible in the middle of a really stressful time. She was patient & kind and such a joy to work with. My husband is a paraplegic so finding accessible spots was challenging but she was more than willing to help us navigate. Our gallery was everything that I dreamed it would be & we are very grateful to have been able to work with Liz! Thank you so much for being a part of our special day! -

We always wanted a small intimate wedding, so it was truly special to find a photographer who understood that sentiment. Liz not only had a small wedding herself, and thus best understands how to capture the intimacy of one, but also specifically specializes in photographing them. While we already had a good idea of the quality of Liz's work from a previous family photo session with a relative, the time she took to get to know us was much appreciated. Both before and during our wedding, Liz was thorough, professional, and eager to help make our day a perfect as we imagined. Simply put, she ensured that our day was stress free and that we will be able to cherish our wedding day forever as captured in her beautiful photos. Liz was the first vendor we hired for our microwedding (even before COVID arrived!). She was exactly what we were looking for as we planned to only have about 30 people at our wedding. She is super responsive, professional, and honest. We loved everything about working with her and are so happy that we hired her first! We HIGHLY recommend her to anyone, especially those having smaller, more intimate events. She was just so helpful with the entire process. Highly recommend Liz!
We couldn’t have asked for more perfect weddings photos and a better person to work with. Liz was so helpful and attentive from the start to finish. Since we were separated by states and during much of the pandemic we were not able to meet, she made it easy to communicate and discuss plans for photos via zoom. Generally I would find photo-taking to be a bit stressful at times, but Liz made photos for my husband and I very fun and relaxed. The photos came out great- I personally love the photography style as her photos are beautiful and bright. Liz is a really warm and down to earth person and I couldn’t be happier to have found her to shoot our photos! -

Exactly what we hoped for...
We got an incredible gallery of photos. It was honestly exactly what we hoped for! The weather was very overcast, but Elizabeth used the light to her advantage and really made incredible photos out of a gloomy day! She also gave us great advice all along the way. We feel very fortunate to have found her and that she available on our wedding day! We highly recommend!

Liz was an absolute pleasure to work with. She photographed our wedding a year ago (9/21/19) on Long Sands Beach in York, ME and then stayed with us for a portion of the reception, which we had in our back yard in Eliot ME. She was such a huge help in our planning process and such a calming and natural presence at the ceremony and reception. I was really anxious about the photography aspect of having a wedding, as I generally don't like having my picture taken or being the center of attention, and she made the entire process enjoyable. We are so pleased with the pictures, I look at them all the time. As we celebrated our first wedding anniversary I realized I had never written her a review, which is terrible because she is so wonderful!! I would highly recommend her to anyone, she was definitely perfect for us and I am still so grateful that she was part of our wedding day!! -

Wonderful experience- authentic and professional.

Liz is unbelievable. She spent time getting to know me and my wife personally prior to the wedding, studied the location and venue and understood what we were hoping for, and helped us feel at ease throughout the process. Oh, and the pictures she took turned out amazing. I can't give her enough stars.
