Elegant Savannah Weddings was, without a doubt, one of the best decisions we made—Mark and his entire team were absolutely phenomenal.
From the very beginning, Mark was incredibly organized, responsive, and genuinely invested in making our wedding everything we wanted. Since we were planning from Atlanta and Seattle, having him on the ground in Savannah made all the difference. He would check measurements, visit the venue, and handle logistics we simply couldn’t manage from afar. He even allowed us to send materials to his home ahead of time so we didn’t have to travel with everything ourselves—such a thoughtful, above-and-beyond gesture that made things so much easier for us. His communication was unmatched. No matter when we reached out, we could always count on hearing back within the hour—either with a detailed response or a quick acknowledgment that he had received our message and was working on it. That level of reliability brought so much peace of mind throughout the entire process.
What truly sets Mark apart is how thoughtful and caring he is. He helped us navigate family dynamics with so much grace, always prioritizing what mattered most to us while also guiding us toward meaningful compromises. He was never pushy, but always took the time to explain his recommendations so we felt confident in every decision. And no matter how stressful things got, he remained cheerful, calm, and encouraging (his signature exclamation marks always made our day!). Planning a large, multi-event Indian wedding—many events of which were outdoors—came with countless moving parts, but Mark and his team handled everything seamlessly. Even though he didn’t initially specialize in South Indian weddings, he approached every detail with curiosity and enthusiasm, asking thoughtful questions we hadn’t even considered and ensuring every element was executed beautifully.
Emilie was also incredible to work with. She helped design our website and played a huge role in organizing and executing all our signage, making sure every detail felt cohesive, polished, and aligned with our vision.
There are so many small but impactful things that Elegant Savannah Weddings took off our plate—things we didn’t even realize would matter so much until we experienced their level of care and attention. They made the entire process feel smooth, supported, and genuinely enjoyable. Beyond their professionalism, they are simply wonderful people—kind, honest, and a true joy to work with. If you’re looking for a wedding planner, we cannot recommend Elegant Savannah Weddings enough. They are truly the best of the best, and we only wish we had another reason to work with them again.

We spoke with about five different wedding planners when we first started planning our wedding, all from venue recommendations and Google searches. Elegant Savannah Weddings was our very first call, and we immediately loved how honest, caring, and genuinely helpful Mark was, regardless of whether we chose to work with them or not.
After completing all of our calls, we decided to move forward with Elegant Savannah Weddings, and we are so glad we did. I was never the girl with a Pinterest board or a clear vision for what my wedding would look like, so we were starting from almost nothing. Mark and Meg were incredible at helping us narrow down options, figure out what we liked, and create a thoughtful, cohesive plan that ultimately became the best day of our lives. They are extremely knowledgeable, have amazing vendor connections, and kept us on track every step of the way. They were patient, always available, and answered every question we had along the way.
When it came to the wedding weekend itself, they were truly unbelievable. We didn’t have to do anything, we just showed up, which is exactly what I wanted. Mark helped us with our welcome party and even picked up all of our décor just a few hours before the event. By the time we arrived at the rehearsal dinner, everything was already set up beautifully.
The same thing happened on the wedding day. Meg and Trisha came by our room early to pick up keys and any additional décor, and from that moment on, they handled everything. I didn’t have to set anything up, talk to vendors, or worry about logistics, everything ran seamlessly. They made sure everyone was where they needed to be, that we always had a drink in hand, and they even saved the day when I spilled an espresso martini on my lace dress about five minutes into cocktail hour. I was panicking, but they stayed completely calm, reassured me, and somehow got it out entirely, you would never have known it happened.
No one tells you how much time you’ll spend with your wedding planners leading up to your wedding, and honestly, I miss them now that it’s over! If you’re looking for a wedding planner, I cannot recommend Elegant Savannah Weddings enough. They are truly the best of the best, and I only wish we had another reason to work with them again. -

Elegant Savannah Weddings was hands-down one of the best decisions we made for our wedding. From the very first call with Mark through the final moments of our reception, their team delivered a level of organization, professionalism, and calm that allowed us to actually enjoy our wedding instead of worrying about it.
Our wedding was not simple. We had a large-ish guest count, multiple venues, transportation logistics, live music, custom design elements, and a very specific vision - and Elegant Savannah Weddings brought all of it together seamlessly. They didn’t just “coordinate vendors”; they truly ran the show in the background so everything felt effortless to us and our guests.
What stood out most was how proactive and thoughtful they were throughout the entire process. They anticipated issues before they became problems, communicated clearly with every vendor, and made sure nothing fell through the cracks. On the wedding day itself, everything ran smoothly, even with a packed schedule. We never once felt rushed, confused, or stressed.

From our very first conversation, Mark responded quickly, gave excellent advise and feedback - and we weren’t even his clients yet. Mark’s communication was consistently streamlined, timely, and showed attention to detail. Mark continued to exceed our expectations throughout the remainder of our wedding planning process. ESW is the best!
Mark and team were amazing as planners! We had partial planning services for our wedding day, and it was a perfect amount of support. ESW was great because they were so straightforward with us during the entire process. We were worried that a planner would be another expense and someone else to manage during the process, but with ESW they keep you on track and help you get it all done! They helped us bring our ideas to life in the best way guided by their experience. Tricia handled our day of and was on top of things all day! All of our vendors were booked off their recommended vendor list and we were happy with all of them! If you want a straightforward, positive wedding planning experience, book ESW! -

Mark Royston and his team are very professional, on time, and worked to give us excellent service. We are from another city and only knew a couple of people who had weddings in Savanah. We needed someone who would be with us from beginning to end.
We were lucky to find Mark. He listened to what we wanted in our wedding planner and laid out all of his services. He has several different level of services and we were able to work with one that matched with what we needed. He lead us through the entire process. He knows a lot of the vendors in the Savanah and surrounding area and told us if he had or hadn't worked with them before. If he thought one vendor was better than anther depending on what we wanted in the vendor he told us. During the process he worked with us and all of the vendors very closely. Many times there were multiply emails that went out daily to different vendors. We “cc”ed Mark on almost every email in order to keep him in the loop. A few times he was out of town and he would automatically send an email back that would tell us exactly when he would return the email. We worked with Mark for over a year and we don’t recall a time when he was out of town that we didn’t get a response back to a question within a couple of days. Never was he out of town more than 5 days.
During the process Mark coordinated with us to give us a time line for the wedding day that was 3 pages long with plenty of detail. Not only was it given to the wedding party, but all of the vendors. In fact the vendors got it about a week in advance, so they knew their schedule.
This past weekend was our daughter’s wedding. It was the most beautiful wedding and we attributed it to the fact that our daughter, son-in-law, my wife, and I were usually on the same page, but if not, Mark was a great arbitrator and we settled our differences very quickly. Mark was at the wedding rehearsal and lead us through it efficiently.
The timeline that Mark created was especially helpful throughout the wedding day. All of us, the bride, groom, parents of both. the bridesmaids and groomsmen were given the timeline so they knew when and where to be on the big day. Because he led that rehearsal, everyone knew what their job was and the order to walk down the aisle.
We have to say that everything was on time and perfect. We did have one little glitch, but it was out of Mark’s control. We can’t say enough nice things about Mark and his team. I am a contractor and expect everyone on my team to be on time and provide the work they say they are going to do. Mark went above and beyond what we thought we were going to get from him. He is an 11 out of a 10.

On the big day, they were there every step of the way, handling every detail, which allowed us to enjoy every moment without a worry.
Mark and Meg are not only incredible planners but also wonderful people who genuinely care about their clients. They made us feel supported and excited throughout the whole process.

Mark and his team are professional, knowledgeable, and proactive. They exceeded all expectations. It's hard to know what to plan for when you're getting married and vendors seem like they're speaking another language. Mark was organized, setting timelines and managing contracts to keep us on track. I highly recommend hiring his team as early as possible for the full wedding planning package. It was worth every penny as he made our special day PERFECT! Even after the wedding he helped tie up loose ends and make sure all miscellaneous items were returned to vendors and our family. -

I have nothing but positive things to say about Mark. He executed our wedding flawlessly. He is personable and so welcoming. Mark took the time to explain every detail, and we learned a lot through the process of planning our wedding! His experience, knowledge, and kindness helped make our wedding day the best day of our lives!
We originally had an outdoor ceremony planned, and when it poured rain the day of our wedding, we didn't even need to worry because the backup plan ended up being even more beautiful than the original plan. Mark made it so that we had nothing at all to worry about, and when we arrived at the venue we were blown away by the beauty of the space. I wouldn't change it for anything. He also was able to secure last minute spaces for photos since we couldn't take them outside. The photos are breathtaking, and we never could have made that happen without Mark. I can tell that the vendors & venues all trust and respect him, as they should.
I am so grateful for Mark and his team - they are absolutely a NEED for your wedding. You will not regret allowing them to help you throughout the process and make your day an incredible one. If there is one thing I know for sure, it's that you shouldn't get married in Savannah without Mark! -

Best Wedding Planners in Savannah!
I truly can't say enough great things about Mark and his team. To start, he provided me with a list of vendor recommendations that were spot on! Mark was incredibly honest and candid with us throughout each step of the process, which was so refreshing in an industry with so many options. Mark also made the stress of finding certain niche items really easy - I emailed him one day letting him know I wanted three large disco balls and within a few hours he had a vendor, quote, and contract ready for me. During the day of Mark was truly such a blessing - he left no stone unturned and ensured our vision was a reality. He explained everything very thoroughly so that there was very little stress or anxiety from myself and our close family. My entire family commented that hiring Mark and his team was the best decision I made in all of wedding planning. -

Best wedding decision we made was hiring ESW!
It is hard to put into words how amazing ESW was in helping to plan our wedding and make the day of our dreams come true. I spoke with many different wedding planners and after talking with Mark for 10 minutes I instantly knew ESW was the right fit for our wedding day. Mark and his team were extremely responsive throughout the planning process and helped facilitate finding and communicating with vendors. The team is extremely knowledgeable about the many venues and vendor options in Savannah which made planning a destination wedding so much easier. Most importantly, the team was exceptional at helping us understand what the best value vendor was in order to stay in our budget. Unlike other planners I had talked to, I never once felt pressured to go above my budget and the team always helped us to find the right balance of where to splurge vs. where to save. I would not change a single thing about my wedding day and would do every single thing the same way again thanks to ESW's help in making my vision come to life. Mark and his team are extremely organized and kept everything on schedule so that our day went seamlessly. 20/10 score, I cannot recommend ESW enough! -

The first vendor we hired after booking our venue was Elegant Savannah Weddings and it was the best decision we made! There are no words to describe how absolutely amazing Mark, Meg, and Emilie were. We hired Mark (and his team) as our full-service wedding planner for our destination wedding on May 13, 2023 at Forsyth Park & Westin Golf Club Pavillon; as I was still living in France while my fiancé was living in Ohio, and we absolutely do not regret it! Even though we are both used to planning projects, dealing with suppliers etc. in our day jobs, having a professional in charge was a no-brainer.
- From the beginning, Mark has been SUPER RESPONSIVE, and makes you feel like you are his VIP couple, even during a busy season.
- One of the main values from hiring him at the beginning of the process, was that he didn’t hesitate to go tour venues for us, film the space with his live comments about your needs/vision. That in itself is a major benefit for everyone not near Savannah.
- He is an AWESOME coordinator with vendors, you can let him know what you want in an informal way, and he will make sure to contact, negotiate and defend your needs, in all British politeness, to your prospected and hired vendors
- He has all the recommendations you need for reliable vendors. Sure, you can make your own search (I picked my own photo & video team), but any time you want to just have someone tell you who you can trust, Mark will provide, and you won’t have to worry if Vendor A is flaky, or if Vendor B is really good, etc. So not only you know you will hire great vendors, but you will most likely hire people used to (and loving) working with Mark, and that is a good bonus.
- A logistical benefit is the willingness of Mark to convert his garage into a logistic center for his couples. We were able to ship a lot of our décor and bridal party’s gifts directly to him during the process, and that was so valuable! He also has some decor elements left by previous brides that you can use! We used a box for our gift cards and a metal tube to store fresh bottles of water for our ceremony, and there were nice lovely additions to our decor.
- The organization and execution of the Day-of was TOP NOTCH!! What a relief to know you have a very reliable team making sure to make your vision come to life, while you can focus on getting ready and enjoying your day with your partner and guests. Mark didn’t hesitate to add an extra member of his team to make sure the organization was flawless. Meg and Emily were thus with us for our rehearsal and for our ceremony, and these ladies know their business too! Then it was Mark and Meg for our reception, staying until the last minute to make sure everything was perfect up to our midnight send off, and taking care of packing up everything for us to pick up the day after. We also had a very detailed timeline (which we reviewed together multiple times until it was perfect for everyone).

We loved the women who officiated our ceremony. She was so nice and had a lot of tips at the rehearsal that helped us. I really liked how often they check in with you especially when you book so far in advance like we did. We had a general idea of what we wanted and they took that and made a beautiful ceremony. Mark is the best wedding planner. He was flexible and always acted professionally. My wife and me could ask anything of him and we could count on it getting done. I would highly recommend Mark to anyone getting married in Savannah. The day before the wedding there was an issue with the DJ having access to our spotify playlist. Instead of adding any stress to my wife before the wedding, he pulled me aside so we could figure it out without involving her. This is just one example of how caring he is as a wedding planner. He has a tact with how he speaks and communicates that is out of this world. I have never met someone with so much tact. Anytime I couldn't think of the correct way to say something to a vendor I would just send Mark my thoughts and he would process it into a coherent message for the vendors. Mark is the greatest! -

Mark, Meg, Emilie and the entire team at Elegant Savannah Weddings are incredible! From the first call with Mark, I could tell I wouldn't have to worry about a thing! The ESW team is not only top-notch, well-connected, and hard-working, but they are extremely affordable! We had a 300+ guest list (200 attended) at a large outdoor venue with lots of interesting quirks (talking about no kitchen for the caterer, the bars were vintage luggage carts, etc.) and they tackled every challenge that came up. I received constant communication throughout the planning process, had every question and concern answered, and flowed through the wedding day without a care! Because of the ESW team, I thoroughly enjoying my wedding without any stress. I cannot encourage any couple enough to hire this amazing family team! -

Your wedding planner is such a huge part of your wedding! Like many couples we are from out-of-state and knew we could not coordinate a wedding alone. After my initial interview with Mark, I knew that this would be the team we would work with! Mark was such a dream to have in our corner! We signed on for the full service package and it was worth every penny!
He always knew how to put things so eloquently into words for me! Their experience in the business and rapport with so many vendors around town made scheduling and ordering such a breeze! We loved their attention to detail!
I am so grateful of all the hard work everyone put in to make our wedding such a memorable and fun time for us and our guests! Emilie is one of those behind the curtain for the months leading up to the event, but such a big influence in the overall picture! And she was a tremendous help the day of the wedding! Truly amazing people and work!
My husband and I got married at Victory North and we hired Mark for day of coordinating. It can be scary to trust someone with all of the time and effort you put into planning your wedding, but as soon as I started working with Mark I knew we were in good hands! He was always so timely with responses leading up to the day and helped me make decisions on anything I was on the fence about. He was very organized down to the nitty gritty details! On our wedding day, he was positive, energetic, and solved any issues that arose quietly and creatively! Emilie also assisted on the day of and was eager to help with any questions or concerns that came up. My family and wedding party made multiple comments about how incredible they were. They did an amazing job laying out all of the decor I had planned, it looked more beautiful than I could've imagined. At the end of the day, they are just very kind people who you can tell really enjoy making people happy through their work and that alone makes a huge difference...I simply can't recommend them enough! -

As an out-of-town couple from California, we knew from the day we picked Savannah as our wedding location that we'd need a planner. After interviewing a few candidates, we went with Mark's full service package. From the first phone call, Mark's calm demeanor put us at ease, as did his extensive background in the Savannah hospitality industry.
Throughout the planning process, Mark and his team were quick and competent in addressing our numerous concerns. As a case in point, Hurricane Ian came bearing down on Savannah the week before our wedding date, and our rehearsal dinner/welcome reception vendor canceled on us less than 48 hours before the event! However, within just a few hours, Mark had contacted numerous replacement locations, brought us proposals, and secured us a contract for a new venue. Truly exceptional responsiveness.
On the day of our wedding, Mark and his team handled every bit of the logistics. The two of us basically just had to show up and say "I do". It was the best day of our lives, and it couldn't have happened without their hard work, skill, and preparation. We can't thank them enough, nor can we recommend them highly enough to any and all who ask. -

My now-husband and I wanted to get married in Savannah and as an out-of-town bride, I had no idea where to begin. At first, I was hesitant to get a wedding planner because I thought they were unaffordable, but I'm so glad we decided to choose Elegant Savannah Wedding's services.
I started communicating with Mark back in March 2020, after he was the only one who replied to the many inquiries I sent to different wedding planners in the Savannah area (Mark and Meg are always available if you need them). We hired them for the full wedding planning service, and I'm so happy we did! Mark and Meg are very professional, personable, nice, and all-around great people.
Mark was with me in every step of the wedding planning process. He provided great vendor options, and he was even able to negotiate my venue contract which saved us thousands of dollars! Emilie joined the wedding planning fun last year and I was impressed with her professionalism; I felt I was talking to an old friend.
The day of the wedding was a breeze with the guidance of Mark and Emilie. They were there to keep the ceremony running smoothly and to keep us comfortable and calm. There’s a mixture of emotions, everything is happening so quickly - it can be understandably overwhelming, but they were incredible. Mark kept the ceremony on schedule and seamless. It was the perfect day and an unforgettable experience, thanks to them.

The greatest wedding planners in the solar system
We can say with absolute confidence that Mark and Meg Royston are the greatest wedding planners on the planet and in the solar system. I've joked (but am mostly serious) that Mark/Meg could plan a wedding on Mars and have every detail covered. The work they do is truly tour de force.
We came to Elegant Savannah events with a wedding date 90 days away, nothing planned, and only a half baked vision of how we imagined our wedding. Like many individuals over the last two years, we had planned and cancelled two previous weddings given the pandemic. Our third attempt was when we met Mark and Meg and we could not have been happier to have hired them as our planners for their full service planning.
Mark and Meg were more than planners, they were champions of our ideas and whole-heartedly supported our vision. In fact, they reinvigorated us as we were planning this wedding and helped get us even more excited. Not only do they support your vision they also propose amazing ideas and are very skilled at designing the details when you need extra guidance.
Mark is so meticulously organized, wonderful to work with, and so knowledgeable about Savannah and is connected with the local vendors. In fact, we had a last minute videographer cancellation and with Mark's help we found an INCREDIBLE local videographer team within days. The week of the wedding we also needed to book a last minute transportation to get us to all of our photo locations and Mark was able to solidify a driver in no time!
On the day of the wedding, Mark and Meg were elite. They had a plan, a back up plan, and a back up to the back up plan in case of anything going wrong. What's so important about that is that they were prepared for any scenario and therefore we were never worried, concerned or bothered by any hiccup or miscue on the day of our wedding (none of which occurred). Mark and Meg allowed us to enjoy our wedding day which is truly what matters!
We cannot thank Mark and Meg enough for coordinating our dream wedding and we can honestly say that we came out with wonderful friends as well.

I genuinely don't even know where to begin! The first time I spoke with Mark, I knew he was the wedding planner for us. He is super organized, punctual, pleasant and just amazing at what he does. We got married at The Ford Plantation and they have a LONG list of items required and rules to follow. Mark made is so easy to get all of those things organized. He was with us every step of the way and we got a lot done in short spurts of time when we were visiting Savannah (from NJ). He made sure we had fun every step of the way from tastings to vendor meetings. I honestly feel if it wasn't for Mark and his amazing team we could not have had the amount of fun we did on our wedding day. We originally planned a wedding for 2020 at the Ritz-Carlton on Amelia Island (where we met). It was my dream wedding. That dream was dashed with illness and covid-19. The absolute core and backbone of our wedding was Mark & Meg. We have been so comforted with them through every step of the planning process - since our original date in May 2020. Due to Covid, we ended up cutting our guest list in half and changing venues from a family friends waterfront home to my parents waterfront home. ALL of the logistics needed to be planned, considering the un-traditional wedding/reception location. Mark helped recommend vendors for us and did a great job communicating with and organizing details with the vendors that we had already chosen. Not only did Mark help to make our date change and THEN location change AND guest list change a breeze, but would answer texts/calls at any hour when random questions or concerns that would come to mind. Upon every response, we were comforted knowing that Mark would stop at nothing to make our vision come to life. On the day of our backyard wedding (the ONLY DAY IN RECORD HISTORY to have almost 3 inches of rain, go figure), Mark and his team had not ONE issue rearranging the downstairs furniture last minute since the weather caused the reception to change from the outside to 100% inside. Looking back, we honestly wouldnt have changed a thing. He came with a fabulous attitude, calm demeanor (which was much needed at the time), and was full of great ideas to seamlessly change the entire floor plan into a dream setting. Our guests said it was the most fun wedding they have ever been - it was magic. We cannot recommend anyone more for any service we have ever booked. Once I started my initial conversation with Mark about wedding planning, I knew that we were in good hands. Mark has been an amazing asset to me during this entire wedding planning process. He is a very personable, detailed-oriented person and will go out of his way for you. If I were to go through this process again, I would not chose any other wedding planner. Best planner ever!
Where do I even begin....
First off, Meg and Mark are two of the most genuine, kind people I know. Not only do I have the pleasure of working with them throughout the year, but I get to call them my close friends too.
From start to end, Meg and Mark went above and beyond for Chet and my wedding day. They made sure everything was in order from smaller décor like the napkins to getting my husband on an airplane, THEY ROCKED IT!
We truly couldn't imagine the day without them. They were both there for us through it all from all the planning, to the rehearsal, and exceeded our expectations for our wedding day!

Mark and Meg are the Best!!
I can't say enough good things about Mark and Meg and the service they provide! We used Mark and Meg for "Day of Coordination" I was an Atlanta Bride getting married in Savannah - so I had traveled to Savannah a few times to decide many of the bigger vendors, but I wanted to not have to worry about any of the details on the day of. The service they provided went beyond "day of" - They began working with me from about a month out to coordinate and organize vendors and ensure that they could execute the vision that I had for my intimate ceremony and reception.
When the weather on my big day was more than a little questionable for my planned outdoor ceremony and reception, they worked with vendors to ensure we were able to as close to our original vision as possible including working with the rental vendor and florist to delay set up for our outdoor ceremony until the last possible minute.
Mark and Meg's professionalism, organization and warm and caring personalities help relieve any stress on my big day so that I could enjoy the moment with family and friends.

Much like Captain America in the Marvel Universe, Captain Mark Royston of Elegant Savannah Weddings helped to bring in Savannah's best vendors to make our wedding absolutely beautiful, memorable, and, of course, elegant.
Despite living in the city for almost 3 years, I had no idea where to start for flowers, catering, photographers, etc, but Mark had a shortlist of his top vendors that made the choice easy and intuitive. His attitude was always upbeat and he genuinely gets excited about weddings, and someone who gets THAT excited about their job is everything we could have asked for in a wedding planner!
Their advice is probably the most valuable thing they have to offer considering the hundreds of weddings they've helped to pull off. My mother often tried to steamroll on my wants and opinions, but Mark made sure to include me in every conversation and helped to find common ground between me and mom.
Their day-of planning went so smoothly, I was kind of disappointed there wasn't anything dRaMaTiC to talk about afterwards!
I don't care that Mark and Meg are the only wedding planning team that I've worked with-- just from this experience alone, I would never want to try anyone else because they are everything we could have asked for and more. Thank you so much!!! :) -

There simply aren't enough words to say about Meg and Mark that haven't already been said hundreds of times before. They are the best at what they do and their job comes so naturally to them. I primarily worked with Mark leading up to our wedding weekend as it was being held at 10 Downing where Mark is the events manager. He was always extremely prompt in his responses to my emails and texts and provided excellent advice and suggestions when requested. He was respectful of our wishes and went above and beyond to accommodate them. Meg did not enter the picture for us until the day before at our rehearsal but it felt like I'd known and worked with her just as long as I had with Mark. She helped direct the order of our ceremony and kept things moving smoothly throughout the night. She even helped me ever so gently take my veil off before our first dance and was able to keep my hair mostly in tact! Whatever I needed, she was there to assist with a smile. I can honestly say Meg and Mark made our wedding day as enjoyable and stress free as humanly possible (especially on a day when it floods and plans change and everything seems like chaos). If you're on a budget and debating whether or not to spend the extra $$ for a day of coordinator, do it! Meg and Mark are worth every single penny and you will not regret it. I can't imagine not having had them be a part of our day and am so thankful to have found new friends in them through 10 Downing. -

Mark simply made our wedding day a breeze. We were planning our destination wedding from across the country and Mark had answers to all of questions and recommendations for all our vendors. I would have been lost without him during planning. When I first got engaged I was questioning whether I really even needed a wedding planner. I finally decided to look into Day of Coordinators. Little did I know when I stumbled onto Elegant Savannah's page that I was laying the groundwork to make the absolute best decision I could for my wedding.
I worked primarily with Mark and Meg (co-owners) for all the planning of my wedding, while Meg and Alyssa were my Day of Coordinators.
This is the BEST company I have EVER worked with in any setting. They are professional, prompt, courteous, intelligent, and intuitive. While I pride myself on being pretty organized, they were always a step ahead of me (or ten!)
Many of our friends are VERY experienced wedding attendees, but we had multiple tell us that ours was the best wedding they had ever attended. I owe it all to Elegant Savannah.

WOW! Where do I begin?! From Day One, Mark has taken such good care of Jeff & I. We got married on Sept 22nd, 2018 but we were spending time with Mark much before that!
Unlike most couples, Jeff & I are HUGE foodies! Nothing like some delicious, high quality ingredients and Mark shared that passion with us. So began our adventures exploring everything 10 Downing had to offer. We met for multiple tastings and with each tasting - we fell more in love with this venue and our Host, Mark!
Each time we met with him, he allowed us the freedom to explore our ideas on the food, setup, service and decor. He invested time assisting and guiding us towards the kind of wedding we envisioned. He helped us to stay on track and did an incredibly awesome job making it easy with little to no stress.
Honestly, I could easily write a novel on how wonderful Mark was, the same goes for his lovely wife, Meg, AND their staff!

This week I reached out to several wedding planners in Savanah, based simply on online reviews. I live in NJ and am planning my wedding next year in Savannah. Knowing very little about Savannah and next to nothing about wedding planning, I didn’t know what to expect. To date I only have heard back from one email - and that’s Mark Royston - and that says a lot. I rarely leave any reviews for anything but my fiancée and I thought it necessary for Mark. I have an extremely busy schedule and emailed late at night this week, he emailed me back before the next morning. He spoke to me in less than 24 hours. And that half an hour phone call yesterday is enough for me to leave a review today. I am so very disappointed that Mark will not be able to do my wedding due to the date we have chosen and him having a major personal commitment already set for that day. While he could have taken my business and let his team be there for our wedding, he refused explaining that if he and his wife couldn’t be there to attend to every detail, he didn’t want to take on the task. He explained that his goal was to make sure each and every wedding he takes on as a responsibility gets his full attention. And I believed him within a 30 minute phone call. It left me so disappointed that I will not be able to work with him that I felt it necessary to post a review letting any other future bride-to-be know that they should reach out to Mark at least once if they want wedding planning help. The promptness of his responses, the depth of his care for my particular experience and goals, and his follow up email to me despite not being my official planner is the kind of professionalism I think you rarely see these days. But the professionalism isn’t the only thing. Within the half hour conversation, I realized that Mark has an undeniable quality that is also more and more difficult to find these days. He clearly cared about the quality of his services and the quality of my wedding over the quantity for his business. He’s a professional, but he’s also a human being! Again, I’m still so sad he can’t do our wedding but wanted to share this experience with anyone who is searching! Thanks again Mark - Priya -

If it wasn't for Mark, I may not be married right now!
I'm the most indecisive person I know – and therefor planning my wedding was a major undertaking. Throw in a pandemic and it was next to impossible to stay on track with all the curveballs being thrown my way in every direction. From the first time I spoke with Mark over the phone, not as our wedding planner but as the venue manager, I knew we were in good hands. Eventually we made the decision to hire Mark and his wife, Meg, to be our day of coordinators ... and it was the best decision we made throughout the entire process. Mark helped us make very important financial decisions, save us money in more places than one and always kept our budget top of mind (which was very important to us.)
His approachable, down to earth personality made him very easy to work with. Would highly recommend hiring Elegant Savannah Weddings - and if you're on the fence about hiring a planner...DO IT! It's seriously the main reason we enjoyed our day/weekend as much as we did...and also the reason we were able to get some sleep that week! -
