Nicole was EXACTLY what I was looking for in a day-of coordinator. She worked with me a couple weeks before the wedding which certainly helped to make sure the event went smoothly and she understood my vision. Most importantly, I wasn't worried about a thing on my wedding day. After she and I met, I had handed off any of my worries to her and I was blissfully unaware of anything that was less than perfect for the rest of the day. It helped me, my groom, my mom, my MOH, and everyone else to just relax and have fun. We knew, whatever it was, Nicole had it handled. Even for those on a tight budget, I would argue that you really can't afford to not have Nicole as part of you wedding team. She was worth every penny!Sent on 10/11/2012

We worked with Nicole from Elegant Events as our "day-of" planner and could not have been happier! I wish I could have hired her to do my entire wedding, but the day-of service by itself was fantastic. Thanks to her our day went flawlessly. The process was very easy, we met with her a couple of times before the wedding, and had some work to do ahead of time getting her certain info, like vendors names, services, etc., and she put together a timeline for the day with everything that needed to be done, so that we had nothing to do the day of except get married. She conducts herself with a high level of professionalism, and has a calm, capable attitude that I appreciated as a stressed-our bride. If something went wrong that day, I still don't know about it, since Nicole handled everything so beautifully, down to the last detail, including making sure my husband and I got a drink at the reception by personally taking our order!Sent on 10/13/2011

I planed my wedding in 3 1/2 months and on top of that I had a hard time trying to explain what my "vision" was. I kept wanting to change this or that. In my mind I new what i wanted but I thought I was having a hard time getting it across to her. Nicole just kept on working and telling me it will be beautiful. She was very patient and did a good job calming me down. In the end she was right she new exactly what I wanted and what I had been trying to tell her all along. Nicole and her team are amazing! She quickly understood the level to which I wanted to be involved and took over the smaller details I was unconcerned with. The layout of the tables and reception was fantastic and I didn't have to worry about anything the day of! Also, she gives great suggestions for timeline and vendors that I wouldn't have even thought about. She's definitely a pro and her calm attitude is great to be around when you feel you are overwhelmed. We recently held our outdoor wedding at a private residence in South Haven and enlisted Elegant Events to help with day-of coordination. However, I felt like that term does not do all the work that they did justice. From the get-go, they were flexible and accomodating to our unique needs. Elegant Events brought our wedding vision to life - better than I even imagined my wedding day would be.
I thought I was organized, but became so much more confident and calm during the planning process after working through our wedding day plan with Elegant Events. Nicole asked questions I hadn't even thought about and had great solutions. She came up with a flow for our ceremony to cocktail area and reception tent so that I could easily guide our rental vendor when they came with our delivery. Heading into the big day, I couldn't have felt more at ease being away at the salon knowing Elegant Events was back at the helm. I felt like I could focus on me and the emotion of the day, not the stress of making sure every detail was set. When I arrived at the venue, ready to dress, I saw that not only was every detail set the way I imagined, but it was perfect and better! Elegant Events created a wedding that several people said was the most beautiful they ever attended. (Literally, our parents received calls for several days after and we heard it there ourselves.) They dressed tables, set out the decor I purchased in creative ways, arranged flowers, guided vendors and most importantly, figured out resourceful ways to maximize our space (by using things from the ceremony later in the reception area, or other cool decor from the yard or home that could double for "beautifying" the tent, etc.).
I recommend Elegant Events with my highest regards for yours. Their experience and creativity is unmatched.

Nicole did a wonderful job with our wedding. As residents of Chicago, we knew we wanted a small ceremony in western Michigan, but really did not know how to go about planning it when we did not know too much about the area. Nicole definitely made it easy. We went up to Michigan twice in total before our day to meet with her, and decided all the details at that time. She was able to recommend a florist, a hairstylist, any vendor that we needed. However, we were able to provide whatever personal touches were important to us (ie, I brought the dessert from a favorite place in Chicago, my husband chose his favorite beers, which the bar vendor was able to purchase specially). The beach that Nicole chose was perfect, and the reception on the grounds of her family's B+B Twin Gables was perfect. Since my wedding was in Grand Rapids but I resided in Kentucky, having someone as knowledgeable and helpful as Nicole was crucial. Nicole was both effecient and professional in helping review and secure vendors. In addition, she negotiated discounts with some vendors in order to help me stay within my wedding budget. Elegant Events helped plan our "Wedding Weekend" at the Twin Gables Inn in Saugatuck. Nicole and her staff did an amazing job!! Nicole and her family let us take over the Inn for the weekend and were very accomodating to all of our needs. We felt right at home and it was such an intimate setting to spend time with family and friends. There were a lot of small children in our group and the Inn warmly welcomed all of them, which was very important to us. Nicole helped plan our rehearsal dinner, brunch for Saturday and Sunday, and the wedding party lunch. Everything was perfectly executed, on time, and all of the food was delicious!! Elegant Events went above and beyond our expectations and allowed us to sit back and relax. I was told several times that I was the calmest bride and Elegant Events was a huge part of our stress free weekend. I would recommend the services provided by Elegant Events in a heartbeat! Nicole has been planning weddings and events for six years for Twin Gables Inn. I have always seen Nicole as a top-notch professional who puts the needs of her clients first. We were married last year and could not have had a better time. We did some very unique things and Nicole was amazing. The food is elegant, the location is incredible, and we even faced disaster as it was raining (and the ceremony was set to be outside). Our daughter and her fiancé picked September 29, 2012 to get married on the beach in Douglas, MI. and to have their reception at the Twin Gables Inn in Saugatuck. We had three months to put this wedding together, and we all live in a suburb of Chicago. Although, Nicole could do nothing to ensure that we had the 74 degrees and sun that we had for the ceremony, she certainly went over and above to make sure that what we envisioned came to fruition. There is not one thing we would have done differently. Nicole gave us sound advice as to catering. The food was spectacular, and everyone made comments. The tent with the tiny lights looked magical and romantic. Twin Gables was warm, and Danielle was very accommodating. Between she and Nicole, they made everything happen the way we wanted. Nicole with Elegant Events planned my wedding at Twin Gables Inn in Saugatuck, MI. I worked with her for just over a year on the planning of the most important day of my life thus far. I was extremely detailed and wanted to be in control of every aspect of the day. However, as a Bride that's just not possible. I had to relinquish control to Nicole and I could not have been more pleased with the results. I had no idea that someone could put together my exact vision for an event while I was off getting primped and pampered for my walk down the aisle. She did an amazing job down to the smallest detail. All of my guests had a fabulous time and had no idea of any issue that may or may not have come up throughout the evening because everything was handled with care and professionalism. We were married summer 09 at Oval Beach and had our reception at the Twin Gables Inn where Nicole and her team helped make our special day perfect. Not being from the W. Michigan area or currenly living there could have made it difficult to pull a wedding off there but it was great to have Nicole to rely on with all of our details. She was easy to get in touch with during the planning. We had the storm of the year the night prior to the big day where it completely flooded the reception area but Nicole and her team worked diligently the day of the wedding to pump away all the water and got creative with some turf so that our wedding wasn't held in the mud and water :)Sent on 10/19/2010

We used Elegant Events by Nicole for our wedding on September 25, 2010. We were very well taken care of and the setting at Twin Gables' Inn in Saugatuck was perfect for what we wanted. We had around 100 people and had our entire wedding party stay at the Inn which was so convenient for rehearsal and made for a stress-free day of the wedding.
