Great experiences with Eileen Smith Events!

I found Eileen Smith Events on Wedding Wire and I am so glad I did! We had a bit of a special circumstance where we had multiple events and were hosting one of the large receptions on behalf of the groom and his family. This event closes out a long list of events amongst Pakistani Muslim weddings. As fun as it is, it is a lot of work to have so many events! We tried planning things on our own, but we needed help to bring the details together, especially on the day of. Initially, we thought about hiring ESE just for the day of the event, but as we got to talking, we realized Eileen and Cassie would be a great help in the planning stages as well. The bride had her own event to plan, and the groom enlisted his siblings and parents to assist with this event, but we still needed the expertise that only comes with a seasoned wedding planner.

While the venue was already booked and the overall vision decided, ESE helped us bring it all together and make it a little more special. Eileen and Cassie were readily available via email, communicative, listened to the needs, set up meetings as needed to stay organized, and most importantly were willing to learn about our culture and traditions so everything aligned. They were always willing to come up with new ideas if we felt that something didn’t fit and iterate on it as a team. I couldn’t have asked for a better team and partners to make things come together and the bride and groom were so happy with the result!

They worked so well with the venue staff, organized everything to align with our requests, and executed the event flawlessly. We had some last-minute (I am talking AT the event last minute) adjustments that had to be done and they were game too which was SO appreciated. We have 2 more brothers in line to get married and would not hesitate to hire Eileen Smith Events again for sure!

Wonderful Wedding Weekend

I highly recommend Eileen Smith Events (ESE) to guide you through the process of hosting your event. We used ESE for a wedding weekend which required selecting many vendors. Her prior experience was invaluable as we did not worry about making bad choices – recognizing it is hard to make those choices when you do it only once! Eileen executes your vision, resulting in a personalized experience. She will host as many planning meetings as you need and her “day of” execution allows you to sit back and enjoy the event.

Eileen is amazing!

Eileen was amazing as our wedding planner / month-of coordinator. Both my husband and I were SO glad we hired her. Eileen helped us make so many decisions during the planning process that led to an extremely smooth wedding day - from where the bar was located to how we processed down the aisle, from whether to do cake or a dessert bar, to when champagne was poured - she really nailed it. She also worked with all of our vendors to coordinate setup and was onsite to help make sure everything was set up correctly & as planned. Everyone jokes that something *always* goes wrong on your wedding day, no matter how much you plan, but really we had nothing go wrong thanks to Eileen! She made our day stress-free!

It's also important to call out that our venue wedding coordinator quit a couple of weeks before our wedding, and Eileen stepped up and swooped in to make sure our new point of contact at the venue was fully up-to-speed. Thank god for Eileen! I highly recommend her. And if you're on the fence about needing a wedding coordinator -- just take the leap! SO SO worth it.

We love you, Eileen!

Eileen worked with me, my fiancé, and his family (we had our wedding at the family home) for more than a year, and the result was the most magical day of our lives. One thing that we love about Eileen is her ability to bring calm into even the most frenzied situations. She worked tirelessly to make our wedding the most special day - and we also credit her for giving us perfect weather! [It rained up until a few hours before the ceremony, when it turned into a gorgeous late summer day. Coincidence? We think not. It was the work of Eileen :-) .] We would not have been able to do any part of the wedding process without her expertise, support, creativity, resourcefulness, and organization. Thank you, Eileen, for everything!

The Center of Sanity in a Crazy Year!

Planning a farm wedding is more complex than people realize, planning an upscale farm wedding during the middle of a pandemic is beyond anything I could have handled alone! Eileen made it all so seemless, not missing a single detail, and on the night of the event, she was like a magician!
I can't express enough how much I appreciated how well she handled every curveball, plan change and of course the inevitable mood swings that come with wedding planning. She's a sweetheart and an amazing resource who has the patience of a saint with the organizational skills of a 5 star general.

We had the wedding of our dreams!! Thanks Eileen!

While this year has been a challenge for a wedding, Eileen was with us all the way. Her calm demeanor and understanding was exactly what we needed. She is professional and meticulous down to the final detail in organizing our wedding. She is well connected in wedding resources in the area; from donuts to a bagpiper she knew exactly who to call and what to do.

I highly recommend Eileen to help you with your wedding planning. She knows exactly how to put together your wedding, the beautiful wedding that you requested and dreamed of all while following covid 19 precautions.

Perfect planning and event execution

ESE made our wedding day more magical and perfect than we ever anticipated. There was no detail that was not thought of and handled prior to the day of the wedding. The Best Investment You Can Make

Eileen and staff were invaluable. I don’t know how you would do this without someone holding you accountable to deadlines, giving you sound recommendations, crossing the t’s and dotting the i’s. Eileen was a pleasure to work with and a calming force!

Eileen handled all the details for our rehearsal dinner and welcome party. We live in upstate NY and the event was in CT, so having Eileen there, knowing all the vendors and organizing everything for me was such a relief and pleasure! Eileen handled last minute changes and stressors, and worked with my vision so that on the day of the event, things went as smoothly as they could have. Thank you!

voice of calm.....

We hired Eileen to help with our daughter's wedding....a challenging, private location, needing a sail cloth tent, tables, linens, table settings, bathroom trailer, generators, lighting, bus transport, golf carts with drivers, food, flowers, liquor, band, and more. Her experience was put to task and she nailed it. She even worked in the beautiful weather ....LOL . Eileen is easy to work with, very calm, and has a handle on the ever-changing details. If I had another daughter getting married, I would surely hire her again.

perfect wedding day

I planned my son’s wedding from 3000 miles away from the venue and there’s no way I could have succeeded without Eileen Smith. She worked very closely with me and the bride and groom to help them get the wedding they wanted. I completely relied on her for the caterer, vendors and logistics - from the biggest to the smallest detail.

Eillen was very patient with a couple who had little time to meet as both working weird hours. She was extremely flexible, kept their budget in mind always, and had great resources for all that was needed, which made things easier. The wedding was perfect! And having Eileen present during the entire day , made for a stress free day for the bride and groom and family. Whatever we needed, she provided.

Eileen was simply the BEST for our daughter's wedding! Even though the wedding was at an all-inclusive location, Eileen pulled together so many details and coordinated added special touches so that the day was truly one of kind and personal for our family. Her expert guidance and positive attitude allowed us all to celebrate the event and take in the joy and love. Without her, we would not have enjoyed the day (and even the lead up) like she allowed us to. Eileen welcomed "big asks," including storing and transporting and placing 100+ blanket/shawls (to have and to hold, in case you get cold -- at an outdoor wedding in April on a mountain top), decorating mirrors with welcoming messages and corralling wandering family members for photos. Never ruffled, attentive to every detail, Eileen Smith will make your day as special and happy as it should be. She certainly did for us! Absolutely a 5 star professional and lovely person!

We used Eileen's wedding planning services and she was absolutely phenomenal! With so much to do, and so much to remember, it's easy to forget or overlook certain aspects of a wedding, but with Eileen, there was nothing to worry about. She made the whole process incredibly easy and stress-free. From start to finish, the entirety of us working with Eileen was smooth as she was constantly on top of everything and we could not have had done it without her!

Working with Eileen is amazing, becaming an essential part in bringing our wedding to life and I couldn’t recommend her enough. My husband and I didn’t pick a traditional, cookie-cutter setting to have our wedding, requiring us to take the lead on every component that is needed, or wanted, to pull together our dream wedding. While we enjoyed this process, much of the communication that comes within the last few weeks of planning your wedding can become overwhelming and that is where Eileen stepped in seamlessly.
She took the time to understand what we wanted in our wedding and visualize it better than we did. She was patient when working through ALL the last-minute details and one step ahead for making sure nothing was out of place or missing on the day of. She heard our concerns and did all she could to make sure the day went off without a hitch. You could tell she knew what we is doing and answered questions we didn’t even know we had to ask.
We got married in New Milford and used a lot of local vendors, one of the greatest parts of working with Eileen is that she knew almost everyone that we worked with, making communication even easier. While planning your wedding is fun it is also a time when you can lean on experts to fill in the gaps. Even though it wasn’t her wedding, the passion she brings makes you feel like she cares about its success just as much as you.

I am so thankful that we had Eileen to help plan our perfect day! Eileen definitely surpassed our expectations and made our wedding day absolutely beautiful! We are still getting compliments of how beautiful everything turned out. We even had guests say that it was the best wedding they ever attended! Living out in North Dakota with my husband made it hard for me to come back to CT often to plan. Eileen made sure that everything was stress free and taken care of. She has an unbelievable attention to detail and was able to make my dream a reality. The day of the wedding came and we were in complete awe of the setup. Our venue was not very big but Eileen was able to use the grounds to our advantage. She setup a beautiful cocktail hour in a field under huge gorgeous trees. The indoor dining area flowed beautiful into the outdoor dance floor where we all danced the night away. If I could give Eileen more than 5 stars I would. :)

Eileen Smith is an alchemist: she took cues and ideas from my future daughter-in-law's Pinterest page and imagination, a few vague comments from me, visited the florist and caterer with us, and helped us be creative and decisive. At our very first meeting, Eileen set my mind at ease, and I just started enjoying the journey.

The magical wedding evening Eileen conjured (I don't know how she arranged the beautiful fog!) was a mid-summer night's dream, and everything and more the bride and groom had envisioned.

Throughout the process, Eileen was available, reliant, responsive and unfailingly humorous! A steadfast partner, friend and mother-hen!

People have been calling all week to say it was the loveliest wedding ever!

If you are looking for a personal, bespoke and seamless wedding, I highly recommend my new friend, Eileen Smith.

Hiring Eileen Smith Events for our wedding was the best decision I made throughout the entire process. Eileen went far beyond anything I had expected and provided so much extra insight, advice & help. She worked so incredibly hard and was always there when I needed her. Book Eileen from the onset. Don't be fooled by her quiet and calm demeanor- it's EXACTLY what you need and what you are looking for whether you realize it or not. She's HIGHLY collaborative, very responsive, and is a great handler of vendors. I cannot recommend Eileen and ESE highly enough!

If you're looking for someone to turn all your wedding dreams into a reality, then look no further...Eileen will achieve it all (and then some!). Eileen brings many things to the table including experience, creativity, resourcefulness, and a vast amount of vendor contacts!

Eileen helped us tremendously with our dream wedding, which was no easy feat. Our venue had all the natural beauty and an amazing tent, but the logistics required to make our dream into a reality, quickly proved to be far beyond what we could handle ourselves. We first met with Eileen almost a year out from the big day, but were in constant contact with her....and she was in constant contact with our vendors. Her warm personality and demeanor made the planning process even more enjoyable.

The day of was picture perfect. Eileen got to the venue bright an early to make sure everything was exactly as we had envisioned, while Jen handled everything at the church (and even helped popped in my veil, just before I walked down the aisle!). Eileen takes such pride in the beautiful work that she does - with such attention to detail, not even a single napkin will be out of place.

Thank you Eileen and Jen! 08.20.16 was truly the best day ever!

We like to think of Eileen as our Fairy Wedding Planner. We hired her for month of coordination services, but she jumped right in helping us months in advance. She agreed to meet us at the reception site prior to being hired without any commitments, which was about an hour away. From there, she gave us a sense of what she could help with and how she could work with us to make our vision possible. From the get go, she told us she would prioritize advocating for us, specifically with regard to managing costs. She has a lot of experience in the wedding/rental industry so knows great vendors & resources. We communicated via email, phone, and in person. She was crucial in getting us quotes for different rentals and modifying the quotes based on price, our personal taste, guest #, etc. For our reception, we rented a space and needed to bring in food, alcohol, music, flowers, etc. We would not have been able to do all of this without Eileen. She has an eye for detail, listens to what you want, thinks on her feet, is friendly, patient, and knowledgeable. We almost had a last minute snafu for our outdoor reception when the weather turned colder and rainy. Eileen swooped in and saved the day by somehow finding someone to provide heaters for the tent. My husband and I would have felt so overwhelmed and stressed out if it weren't for Eileen. Instead, we were able to look forward to our special day and know that everything would be taken care of with vendor arrivals, timelines, vendor payments, last minute details, decorating, etc. Eileen also provided us with servers who were professional and hard working. Her assistant, Jen, is amazing. Top notch. Very friendly, attentive, and incredibly hard working. We received several compliments about Eileen and Jen from guests at the wedding. We 100% recommend investing money in your budget for wedding coordination through Eileen Smith Events.

Eileen was absolutely amazing! Her expertise and resources were invaluable. At first my husband and I were planning everything ourselves but everyone recommended getting an event coordinator for at least the day of the wedding. We asked our fabulous caterers Executive Cuisine for a recommendation and they directed us to Eileen. One month out she completely took the reigns and helped us achieve our vision for the wedding. She brought a fresh set of eyes with some great new ideas. Of course we were a budget conscious couple and were trying to utilize as many DIY options as possible, and Eileen helped us come up with great solutions without sacrificing the quality or esthetics of our wedding. Along with her expertise, Eileen had great energy and expedited the process very efficiently, without her I'm not sure our wedding would have been the success that it was. My husband and I couldn't have been happier, we recommend Eileen a hundred times over.

Eileen Smith did an absolutely amazing job at executing our vision for our rustic themed wedding. She was extremely professional, attentive, and flexible. She took so much time to discuss with us what we were looking for, listen to our ideas, offer professional advice, and was mindful of our budget. She was sure to make our vision come alive, yet was able to offer savvy and creative ideas to save money. Eileen's organization and thoroughness was outstanding. She worked with all of our vendors to assure that our wedding day would go smoothly. She met with us and spoke to us over the phone MANY times about each detail of our big day. She made us feel so comfortable to call her whenever we needed to. Each time we saw or spoke to Eileen she was extremely pleasant, helpful, and easy to work with. I cannot express how thankful we are for the services Eileen provided us with. She works SO hard and is so amazing at what she does. My daughter's wedding would not have been as elegant or well-run if not for Eileen Smith.
Her attention to detail, and her taste in picking out linens, dishes, glassware, etc. is
extraordinary. My daughter's tent wedding was a wonder of sparkling lighting, beautiful
table-setting, and magical scene-setting. I relaxed at the hotel with my daughter and bridal
party the day of the wedding, without fretting over deliveries from florist, caterers, lighting designer,
and wedding cake supplier. Knowing that Eileen was on site, from start to midnight-finish, made

My husband and I both loved Eileen and her daughter Ashley! They are amazing to work with, every detail was handled professionally and in a timely manner. They are so flexible to work with, even meeting at our home when we couldn't get away! Whenever I wasn't sure of a direction to go in with a specific aspect of my wedding, they were always ready with a brilliant plan or suggestion. Eileen was key to the success of our 10 year high school reunion. She not only found quality vendors (a DJ, caterer, bartender, and wine and spirit shop) at discounted prices, but she took the time to create unique centerpieces and posters using our high school yearbook to add to the decor throughout the room. The centerpieces doubled as party favors for attendees as well. I had to rely heavily on Eileen to coordinate all of the major muscle movements for the event due to my busy work schedule and because I live 2,500 + miles away from the reunion location. She assured me of a wonderful evening for all participants and she absolutely more than delivered. What made it even better was that her services were very reasonably priced, she was easy to get in touch with, she always kept me on timeline and reminded me of important deadlines, and she was always willing to hear me out on any ideas for tweaks to the event that I had in mind. The class reunion seemed like a walk in the park for her - I can only imagine how great of a job she would do with a wedding. (My wife agrees!) I'm sure some of the crew from our reunion will be reaching out to her for their own wedding planning in the future. Eileen Smith, of Eileen Smith Events, is absolutely worth her weight in gold! Our wedding was at the Hopkins Vineyard on September 6th 2014, and we had started working with Eileen in February. Right from the beginning, she was easy to get in touch with, quickly responding to emails and phone calls, and always with a positive and friendly attitude. Eileen loves what she does, and it is reflected in every aspect of her work, which made the whole act of planning our wedding fun and stress free. She put us in touch with great vendors, and advised on every detail along the way. On the day of our wedding, in fact just an hour before our ceremony, we had a torrential rain storm with thunder and lightning. Being that our wedding was outdoors, this could have spelled disaster, but from my then fiance's account, Eileen kept her cool, rallied all the staff and managed not only to protect everything from the storm, but to also have it all back in place and perfect just in time for our ceremony (we were so lucky that the storm passed and the sun came out just in time!). Our day would not have been as beautiful and professional looking without Eileen's superb organizational skills and attention to detail. I'm trying to come up with an excuse for another big event just to work with her again!!!

Eileen was amazing. She mostly provided day of services, but that did not stop her from making many visits well before the wedding to make sure that everything went smoothly on the day of. She was kind, helpful and always had great ideas. We were incredibly happy with her services!

I can honestly say that without Eileen to help us coordinate and plan our wedding it would not have turned out as wonderful as it did. We are still getting compliments months later from guests who has such an amazing time.
Eileen not only understood what we envisioned the day to be like but also made helpful and insightful suggestions that enhanced what we wanted overall. She always remained conscious of our budget and the end result was just what we hoped for.

Eileen coordinated our wedding and absolutely helped everything run smoothly and beautifully. We loved every minute of our wedding day. Eileen was in charge of timekeeping, directing the order of events, organizing everyone in the wedding party (8 bridesmaids, 8 groomsmen, a flower girl, and a ring bearer!), and coordinating and paying the vendors. She also went as far as making last minute decorations that really added to our theme. Dozens of our guests exclaimed that our wedding was the best they had ever attended and I know Eileen had a lot to do with that. Thanks Eiileen!

Back Yard Wedding

With all the moving parts of a back yard wedding Eileen did a great job the day of. It poured right up until our ceremony (we actually delayed 30 minutes to keep the ceremony outside). Eileen did a wonderful job coordinating right up until the last moment and was out there in the rain making sure everything was perfect. We really appreciated all her help!!

Respectful, but honest review.

Eileen has very strong wedding vendor recommendations and relationships. Unfortunately, I would be hesitant to recommend ESE as a wedding planner as Eileen self admittedly spread herself too thin between projects at the time we were working with her.

We understood that generally, vendors in this industry are taking on a multitude of projects due to the Covid backlog - but our experience was overall very frustrating due to frequent redundancies, inefficiencies, errors, and miscommunications.

Our wedding was a small home/backyard/tented event. We paid for a full package (5k) The long lead planning, budget and majority of vendor communication ended up on us. We felt we weren’t really paid attention to until about 2 months prior to the wedding date at which point 90% of things were already done.

On the day, ESE supplied and managed the wait and set up staff. For how much work there was to be done no staff were onsite until 12:30pm when the wedding was to begin at 4:00pm. We did the majority of the set up ourselves in the morning because we didn’t feel comfortable leaving it to the last minuet. Considering this was at our home, the timing felt rushed and not as considered as it should have been.

During the reception the bar tenders were mismanaged and there was a TON of waste. The day after we found 4 full cases of uncorked wine and champagne (which we self supplied) - when we brought this to Eileen's attention there was little acknowledgement and no follow through. Then we were billed for $60 in ice.

After such a happy time as your wedding - we can understand why it would be difficult for happy couples to leave an honest review if it's not a glowing one - this was not a good fit for us, but this became too clear when we were too far along to change tracks. That doesn’t necessarily mean you shouldn’t explore ESE for yourself further. She seems to have had many success in her past.
