Ed was an absolute rockstar!! He accepted our wedding on short notice, and my wife and i could not be happier with the photos and professionalism all around. He was not only an exceptional photographer, but an amazing person. At times before the wedding, as the groom, i was a tad bit nervous, he made me laugh and feel comfortable with ease. He was a hit at the wedding!! All our guests loved him and have been raving about him for weeks. He is the single most perfect wedding photographer we have ever encountered. We are beyond lucky and blessed to have him shoot our wedding. He was there from start to finish! We will hire him for every event we have in future! He was so kind, funny, and personable. Truly, what an incredible human being. His photos were nothing short of spectacular! I would rate him 100 on a scale of 1-10. My wife and I are so grateful with the photos he has provided us with from our special day. I would highly recommend him to everyone i know!!

Truly Exceptional!
Edward was truly exceptional throughout our wedding day (10/15/23)! He certainly helped make everyone feel very comfortable and was, in general, very personable with all of our guests. He was always on the move and was able to capture so many great candid moments that would normally require two or more photographers! Overall, we were incredibly happy with how our pictures came out and we would undoubtedly recommend Edward to anyone looking to best capture their special moments! Thanks again for everything! -

Highly recommended
I had a great experience working with Edward. I don't normally like having my photo taken but he made it fun and easy. The photos are beautiful. I really appreciated how easy it was to schedule and that he didn't have some complicated booking system but instead we could just connect on phone. He took beautiful pictures of my cat, too, which I will treasure! He was very affordable as well, especially considering the high quality of his work. I would definitely work with him again next time I need photos. Highly recommended! -

incredible event photographer
we hired Edward to photograph our son’s bar mitzvah scheduled for june 2020. i’d put down a deposit and then the event was cancelled due to covid. when we rescheduled a completely re-envisioned event with few people but that lasted 3 days Edward showed up every day of the event and took the MOST stunning pictures documenting our special weekend. i can’t recommend him highly enough. -

Edward was absolutely incredible to work with. Not only did he capture amazing photos from our special day, he truly does light up the room when he walks in.
I’m not an outgoing person who loves having my photo taken, but Edward was kind and patient and laughed with us the whole time. We can’t wait to have these photos and show them off for the rest of our lives.

Edward Acker is a true professional photographer AND character (all of our guests LOVED him). He went above and beyond for us- before, during, and after our wedding- always reaching out to us, and so genuinely excited to work with us. The photographs we got back from our wedding (very quickly I may add) were more than we could have hoped for. A true docu-styled photographer, there was not a single guest that was not photographed! Many of our guests have reached out to us to comment on how impressed they were with Edward and where the heck we found him- he is a true gem. We have thousands of pictures to go through, and going through them is like living the night all over again. Can't say enough good things! -

Ed photographed my wedding and reception dinner. He made himself available throughout the whole process from booking, getting ready on the day of, the Wedding itself, post-wedding activities, AND he stopped by at the dinner of his own accord to surprise us with prints he made on his way over! His work is excellent and he was nothing but a joy to have around. Definitely a 6 star out of 5 experience. Thank you Ed! -
Caitlin Sent on 11/14/2017Edward was the photographer for my wedding last August and he was beyond amazing! Edward takes your wishes into account as well as any photos you do or do not want to do. My husband and I were very specific in the fact that we wanted to not be taking pictures during our whole reception and Edward was great at getting the best shots in a short amount of time. Everyone the next day couldn't stop raving about Edward and how great he was! My brother in law is now using him for their wedding as well!! So if you haven't come to the conclusion yet - yes you should all book Edward now for your weddings he is the best!

I don't live in the Berkshires so choosing the right photographer was tough since I could only be in the area once for a visit with my parents. Not only had recent brides given him fantastic reviews, but many of the locals had nothing but kind words to say. So I knew, there wasn't anyone better around. -

User1474277 Sent on 04/08/2014Edward was a great find. He was our photographer for pre and post wedding events (wish we hired him for the whole weekend). He was quick, and got really great shots. He knew how to organize people, make sure everyone was included and get fun pictures in addition to posed ones. He was flexible with our schedule and really captured the vibe of our weekend. Edward did a short session with our immediate family on the Friday of our wedding weekend, then photographed almost all day Saturday for us when we had a day of competition with sports, and our rehearsal dinner. I unfortunately got sick at the wedding and he was incredible and offered to take pictures at the brunch the next day. Those are some of my favorite pictures from the whole weekend. And when we were making an album with him he put it together so quickly and perfectly. He listens to what you want and makes it happen. -

As an experienced wedding florist (and my husband is a former venue manager) we know that one thing over all else makes a party -- your people. Edward Acker has an unmatched knack for capturing the spark that friends and family bring when celebrating a milestone. We are so thrilled that his photos bring us right back to the energy, love, and joy of our favorite wedding moments. If you want shots of your shoes and dress hanging in a window, he will do that well, too. But not all photographers are able to interact with people the way he does, and those are the photos you will end up cherishing. -

Me and my Wife Sarah got Married on 6/4/2021, we chose Edward as our photographer. We really loved his style of photography and after speaking with him decided to go with him. We thought everything was going to be good an smooth but there where some bumpy patches along the way. We agreed on a set price and because we decided not to do a reception Edward had lowered the total cost of the package he provided with us, or so we thought. A Day before the wedding Edward contacted us and told us that he in fact needed the money he previously deducted from our package. Which had come to a total shock to me an my wife as we had all agreed on a set price. We felt as though if we did not agree to pay this we wouldn't have a photographer at our wedding so we decided we had no option other then to pay him. Otherwise we had no issues with Edward. It was very unprofessional to have a call the day before the wedding almost giving us no option but to pay the money that was discounted. I would be more understanding if it was a few weeks before but the literally the day before was a big issue for both me and my wife. Hopefully this doesn't happen to anyone else. -

Shauna Sent on 03/16/2021Cared Nothing for the Bride's Preferences, Safety, or Timely Deliverable
Edward came highly recommended by our venue, and his online portfolio looked nice, so I hired him to photograph my very small, covid-aware wedding. A rocky start when he couldn't remember when or what time the wedding was... he was always in a hurry on the phone, annoyed at my questions or clarifications, like he couldn't be bothered with important details like what time to show up. Fast forward to the wedding day when he walks in with his nose hanging out of his mask, after I've expressed many concerns over safety--we literally had no reception, socially distanced, and wed outdoors because of the pandemic but he couldn't bother to put his mask on correctly inside the bridal suite. The photographs themselves were well-lit and in focus, and he took a lot of them, but half of them were unusable because someone was in the middle of talking. He wasn't aware at all of flattering angles, or how a woman might want to be photographed. Lit from the side? Mid sentence? Make sure to focus on the double chin? He got all that. I've modeled in the past, and work with photographers in my day-job, and while Edward could frame a nice composition, he was really behind the ball in the very basic techniques of flattering his subject. Not the sort of photographer that will notice or tell you if your necklace clasp is showing, your hair is out of place, or if you've got something in your teeth. I'm also not impressed with delivery speed of the finished product. I got married five months ago and still haven't received everything I paid for...when we have a reception post covid, I'll be looking for other photographers.
UPDATE
Edward reached out several times immediately after I posted this review and apologized for his behavior and candid style. He sent the final piece of the deliverable plus a few extra prints to make amends. He seems repentant for his previous nonchalance around safety.
